Helminth fauna of aquatic bird has well studied on the territory of Ukraine. The data on the helminths of rare waterfowl are contained in numerous faunistic works. But there are no publications in which only helminths of rare aquatic birds are considered. We aim to generalize all existing data about this subject in the survey. Due to achieving this purpose, the data from the Scientific fund collections of Institute of zoology NAS Ukraine and literature are used. There are 37 species of aquatic birds in Ukraine that are suggested as rare. Data on helminths of 32 aquatic bird species are available. In total, 295 species of helminths are registered in the rare aquatic bird on the territory of Ukraine. It is found 116 cestode species, 112 trematode species, 53 nematode species, and 14 acanthocephalan species. High species diversity is in Charadriiformes and Anseriformes due to relatively big samples of these orders. Low species diversity of helminths of Falconiformes and Ciconiiformes connect with a small amount of surveyed birds. Majority species of helminths are low host-specific. And only 10 species of helminths can mature in the single species of bird. Helminths with a wide range of definitive hosts have a higher level of prevalence than ones with the single definitive host. The intermediate hosts of these helminths are widespread species of invertebrate and fishes. Keywords: bird, helminth, endangered species

Aim to evaluate the features pathologic results of organ-sparing interventions in patients aged up to 40 years and older and assess an influence of patient age on the recurrence-free survival in case of pathologically proven renal cell cancer. Materials and methods A retrospective analysis of laparoscopic organ-sparing removal of kidney tumors in 314 patients performed from January 2012 to May 2017 was conducted. The mean patient age was 54.4+/-10.9 (25-78) years. There were 178 males (56.7%) and 136 females (43.3%). All patients were divided into two groups. In Group 1 a total of 37 patients aged less or equal 40 years (11.8%) were included and Group 2 consisted of 277 patients (88.2%) over 40 years. In Group 1 there was no family cases of renal cell cancer. Results In Group 1 malignant tumors were more common (n=33 cases (89.2%)), and benign tumors were diagnosed in 4 (9.8%) cases. Among patients older than 40 years the malignant and benign tumors were determined in 242 cases (87.4%) and 35 cases (12.6%), respectively. It was estimated that there were no differences in neither malignant tumors rate (p=0.75), nor in proportion of different pathologic forms of benign (p=0.68) and malignant neoplasms (p=0.25), nor in proportion of various degrees of anaplasia (=0.33). A mortality rate was 0.6% (2 patients in Group 2), and there was 3 relapse (1.1%). A proportion of censored cases was 99.4% for overall survival and 98.9% for recurrence-free survival. A point estimate of overall survival after 36-months follow-up was 35.77+/-0.16 months. The mean disease-free survival was 35.47+/-0.24 months. The survival differences between two groups were not significant due to absence of relapse and mortality in patients aged less or equal 40 years. Conclusion During the planning of surgical treatment of patients with kidney tumors aged less or equal 40 years a preference to organ-sparing interventions should be given. The postoperative genetic counselling is recommended to exclude hereditary renal cell cancer. Considering a high risk of local recurrence in all patients aged less or equal 40 years meticulous and regular follow-up is needed.

Aim. To study the conditions for reduction of 5-hydroxy[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-e][1,4]diazepines and develop the method for the synthesis of their tetra- and hexahydroderivatives.Results and discussion. It has been found that the functional hydroxy and carbonyl groups of 5-hydroxy[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-e][1,4]diazepines tend to selective reduction with complex metal hydrides, and it has allowed to develop methods for the synthesis of their hydrogenated derivatives and to carry out the acylation of the diazepine cycle.Experimental part. The selective reduction of the hydroxy group was obtained by the interaction of 5-hydroxy[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-e][1,4]diazepines with a 2-fold excess of NaBH4 in the boiling isopropanol. It allowed obtaining derivatives of tetrahydro[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-e][1,4]diazepine-8(3H)-one with the yield of 61-82 %. The complete reduction of the diazepine cycle can be achieved only by using a 5-fold excess of LiAlH4-Me3SiCl hydration system and long-term boiling in THF. It has been shown that the tetrahydroderivatives synthesized with aliphatic carboxylic anhydrides are prone to selective acylation of the N4 diazepine ring atom, while hexahydroderivatives form a product of acetylation at N4 and N6 atoms.Conclusions. The conditions for the partial and complete reduction of 5-hydroxy[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-e][1,4]diazepines have been found, convenient methods for the synthesis of tetrahydro- and hexahydroderivatives have been developed, and their directed functionalization by acyl groups has been performed.

Sydorchuk Higher State Educational Institution of Ukraine «Bukovinian State Medical University» Abstract Objective: to investigate the effect of 1267 A®G gene polymorphism of heat shock proteins (HSP) family 70-2 (HSP70-2) and C-592A gene polymorphism of interleukin 10 (IL-10) on the level IL-1β, TNF-a and IL-10 in the blood of patients with colienteritis. Materials and methods: 95 patients suffering from Colienteritis participated in the study including 34.74% (33) men, and 65.26% (62) women, their average age was 38.66±3.11 years. Concentration of IL-1β, TNF-a та IL-10 in the blood plasma was examined by means of immune-enzyme method. Polymorphism of HSP70-2 (rs1061581) and IL-10 (rs1800872) genes was studied by means of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. The control group included 30 practically healthy individuals correlated by their age and sex who were not infected by diseases of any localization during the last 6 months. Results. Changes of immune-inflammatory body response in patients with colienteritis are characterized by an increased synthesis of the first generation pro-inflammatory IL-1β and TNFα on 40.93% and 44.44% (р Single-factor dispersive analysis confirmed the association between the gene promoter of heat shock protein HSP70-2 (1267A®G) and increased level of IL-1β in the blood, more considerable in the carriers of GG-genotype on 45,05% (F=11.66; p Conclusions: Availability of GG-genotype of HSP70-2 gene in patients with Colienteritis is associated with a higher content of IL-1β increase in the blood plasma and a low concentration of IL-10. Occurrence of A-allele of IL-10 gene in the genotype of patients with Colienteritis is characterized by the lowest IL-10 content. Статтю присвячено вивченню видавничої діяльності Івана Франка у другій половині 1870-х рр., зокрема книжковій серії "Дрібна бібліотека". Об’єктом дослідження стали книги Івана Франка. Проаналізовано його епістолярну спадщину. У статті розглядаються процеси формування та особливості функціонування книжкової серії "Дрібна бібліотека" у XIX столітті. Говориться про етапи роботи в серії, такі як переклад текстів, пошук джерел фінансування, зміна тематики, а також причини закриття серії. Серед основних методів дослідження – аналіз історико-бібліографічних джерел, монографій, статей та листів тощо. Він дав можливість виокремити необхідну інформацію у листах письменника до М. Драгоманова, О. Рошкевич, М. Павлика, відомості про активність І. Франка в цілому, які знаходяться в режимі он-лайн. У статті визначенои основні напрями видавничої діяльності І. Франка упродовж 1877–1880 років. The article is devoted to the study of the publishing activity of Ivan Franko in the second half of the 1870’s, in particular the book series "The Tiny Library". A books I. Franko’s became a research object. His epistolary heritage was analyzed. The article deals on the processes of formation and functioning of the book series "The Tiny Library" in XIX century. The article talks about the stages of work in the series, such as the translation of texts, the search for sources of funding, change of the thematic, as well as reasons of the closing the series. Among the basic methods of research is analise of the historical and bibliographical sources, monographs, articles and letters, and so on. It gave an opportunity to find the necessary information in letters to M. Drahomanov, O. Roshkevych, M. Pavlyk, information about the aktivities I. Franko’s in general which is located in on-line. In the article defined basic directions of publishing activities of Ivan Franko during 1877–1880 years.

Cardiofilaria pavlovskyi Ström, 1937 Two specimens (males) were collected from the air sacs of two birds. L o c a l i t y: Kyiv Region, near Kyiv. Description of 2 males. Nematodes of small size. Body cylindrical, slightly narrowing to anterior and posterior extremities (fig. 2, A), 6,431 –7,485 long. Body width 110–115 at level of posterior edge of oesophagus. Maximum body width 143–165 near middle of body. Cuticle smooth. Mouth small, dorso-ventrally elongated in studied specimens. On anterior extremity, 4 pairs of papillae in two circles and lateral amphids (fig. 2, B, D). Distinct cuticular ring surrounding buccal cavity. Oesophagus divided into muscular and glandular parts, border between parts indistinct. Muscular part of oesophagus 48–51 long, glandular part 355–377 long. Nerve ring in first quarter of glandular part of oesophagus, 127–136 from anterior extremity. Spicules subequal and slightly dissimilar (fig. 2, C). Left spicule 75–81 long, right spicule 60–65 long. Some studies have proven possible potentiating toxic effect of combined pesticides. The potentiating effect may be related to the impact of a certain substance on enzymatic activity of another one. Due to combined preparations popularity, the importance of evaluating probability of summation and synergetic or antagonizing action of the one-purpose substances becomes particularly important. Aim of the researchisto studypeculiarities of histomorphological liver changes associated with combined effect of active substances with one-purpose action. Methods.The authors have used toxicological, histochemical and statistical study methods. 45 rats have been used for the study. The liver specimens for histochemical analysis were selected immediately after dissection of the rats, from which the 5 micrometer sections were prepared, using freezing microtome. After leaving the sections in cold acetone, the histochemical reaction on determining the γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, a transformed hepatocyte marker, which forms nodules while proliferates, was conducted. Results.The authors have established thatthe above-mentioned characteristics inanimals which were administered the drug (benthiavalicarb-isopropyl+folpet) do not differ from negative control group. General specific area of nodules per сm2and specific quantity of nodules per сm2haven’t reliably changed, the control group exceeding these data by 18 % and 12 %, respectively. Discussion.The study of the benthiavalicarb-isopropyl and folpet mixture effect on animals has not revealed liver tissue proliferation of the carcinogen-transformed cells and appearance of hyperplastic nodes, which express the γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, a histochemical marker of pre-tumor changes. So, the fungicide (benthiavalicarb-isopropyl+folpet) has not induced multiplication or size increase of glutamyl transpeptidase nodules, which evidences about loss of the modifying effect of folpet on the benthiavalicarb-isopropyl carcinogenicity in this preparation formula. The obtained results may be used when deciding on administration of combined fungicides with active substances of one-purpose action.

Короткий огляд присвячено опису взаємозв’язку клінічної картини порфірії та зображенню вампірів у літературі. Порфірія — це група спадкових захворювань, зумовлених порушенням синтезу гему, з підвищенням рівня його попередників у крові та сечі. Найхарактернішими для опису вампірів у літературі є клінічні вияви природженої еритропоетичної порфірії. Найчастіша та найтяжча форма — гостра переміжна порфірія. Тріада симптомів (судоми, гострий абдомінальний біль та гіпонатріємія) у молодих жінок нерідко свідчить на користь захворювання. Під час гострого нападу в більшості пацієнтів розвиваються різні психічні розлади. Небезпечним ускладненням порфірії є розвиток моторної аксональної або аксонально‑демієлінізувальної полінейропатії. Чітким маркером гострих атак порфірії є виділення сечі різних відтінків червоного кольору. Механізм ураження нервової системи остаточно не вивчено. Вогнищеве ураження головного мозку при порфірії не є специфічним. Лабораторним підтвердженням порфірії є підвищена екскреція із сечею амінолевулінової кислоти, порфобіліногену, уропорфірину та копропорфірину. Наведено власне клінічне спостереження хворої з порфірійною полінейропатією та динамічне спостереження за пацієнткою протягом одного року. Зняття гострого нападу специфічними препаратами гему, призначення вуглеводної дієти в гострий період захворювання з фізичною реабілітацією пацієнта у відновний період сприятиме відновленню втрачених функцій. Важливе значення має ознайомлення пацієнта з порфіриногенними препаратами та зміна способу життя., Короткий обзор посвящен описанию взаимосвязи клинической картины порфирии и изображению вампиров в литературе. Порфирия — это группа наследственных заболеваний, обусловленных нарушением синтеза гема, с повышением уровня его предшественников в крови и моче. Наиболее характерными для описания вампиров в литературе являются клинические проявления врожденной эритропоэтической порфирии. Частая и тяжелая форма — острая перемежающаяся порфирия. Триада симптомов (судороги, острая боль в животе и гипонатриемия) у молодых женщин нередко свидетельствует в пользу заболевания. Во время острого приступа у большинства пациентов развиваются различные психические расстройства. Опасным осложнением порфирии является развитие моторной аксональной или аксонально‑демиелинизирующей полинейропатии. Четким маркером острых атак порфирии является выделение мочи разных оттенков красного цвета. Механизм поражения нервной системы окончательно не изучен. Очаговое поражение головного мозга при порфирии неспецифическое. Лабораторным подтверждением порфирии является повышенная экскреция с мочой аминолевулиновой кислоты, порфобилиногена, уропорфирина и копропорфирина. Приведено собственное клиническое наблюдение больной с порфирийной полинейропатией и динамическое наблюдение за пациенткой в течение одного года. Купирование острого приступа специфическими препаратами гема, назначение углеводной диеты в острый период заболевания с физической реабилитацией пациента в восстановительный период будет способствовать восстановлению утраченных функций. Важное значение имеет ознакомление пациента с порфириногенными препаратами и изменение образа жизни., Brief overview represents the description of the relationship between the clinical picture of porphyria and the description of vampires in the literature. Porphyria is a group of hereditary diseases caused by disorders of heme synthesis, with an increase in the level of its precursors in the blood and urine. The most characteristic description of vampires in the literature are the clinical manifestations of congenital erythropoietic porphyria. The most frequent and severe form of porphyria is an acute intermittent porphyria. The triad of seizures, acute abdominal pain and hyponatremia in young women are clear evidence of the disease. During an acute attack most patients can experience various psychiatric disorders. The dangerous complication of porphyria is the development of motor axonal or axonal‑demyelinating polyneuropathy. A definite marker of acute porphyria attacks is the urine excretion of various shades of red color. The actual mechanisms of damage to nervous system tissue are poorly understood, focal lesion of the brain in porphyria is not specific. Laboratory confirmation of porphyria is elevated urinary excretion of aminolevulinic acid, porphobilinogen, uroporphyrin and coproporphyrin. In the article the clinical presentation of a patient with porphyric polyneuropathy is described with the following one‑year dynamic observation. Management of acute attack with intravenous heme, increased glucose supplementation in the acute period of the disease, followed by physical rehabilitation of the patient in the recovery period, will help restore lost functions. However, the main idea is to explain to a patient what drugs are porphyrinogenic and necessity to change his life style.
