Playing with wooden or plastic cubes, with the various educational kits, children obtain the first experience with the geometric solids. Starting the school attendance, the pupils learn their correct names and find out the important properties of the basic solids. Continuing their study, the students learn the principles of spatial geometry in the connection with the basic solids, as well as with the geometric polyhedrons. Besides, the knowledge of properties of the basic solids and the geometric polyhedrons is very important for constructing them and projecting them in different kinds of projections and for constructing their projections in geometric or CAD software. Analytic geometry in the plane is a very important part of geometry, especially for the students of mechanical engineering study field. They start studying the analytic geometry in the plane within the secondary school study. Although the study of analytic geometry in the plane is important for the future study at university, students often have insufficient knowledge of the above mentioned part of geometry when entering university. This paper describes the statistical analysis of an online practice test, developed on the grounds of the story "The Lumber Room" by Saki. The test contains 62 multiple-choice questions and 4 open-ended test items, constructed in accordance with specifically developed criteria, and it was taken by 37 first-year university students. The quality of each test question was evaluated as well as the quality of the test as a whole, including the difficulty level of the items, their discrimination, a distractor analysis, and the item-test correlation, along with the reliability and validity of the test. The paper presents the UMLOntology structure used to automatically generate test questions. It also considers the algorithm for automatic generation of questions in the Test Generation Environment and discusses supplementary annotation elements added to the ontology. A singular linear-quadratic optimization problem with a terminal condition is considered. This problem in the space of absolutely continuous functions has no solutions. To ensure the existence of a solution, it is necessary to extend the set of admissible controls. In the case under consideration, we consider the generalized derivatives of functions of bounded variation as admissible controls. As a result, valid controls may contain impulse components. In this paper we have revealed and analyzed the anatomy of the intersection of Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem security and blockchain technology in the context of Industry 4.0. The design principles and related innovative technologies to Industry 4.0 such as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and edge computing have been considered. IoT and edge computing security issues have been investigated. Due to their importance for computational biology, the methods and algorithms for multiple alignment of biological sequences have been the subject of continuous intensive research and innovation in the last 30 years. Within a PRACE research project we have designed and implemented metaheuristic algorithm for massively parallel MSA and based on it parallel software tool MSA_BG that has been ported on the European supercomputer Juqueen. In this paper we have investigated the Quality of Solution (QoS) of the parallel algorithm MSA_BG for multiple alignment of biological sequences on GPU-accelerated computing infrastructure based on 3 synthesized benchmarks of genetic sequences comprising the 8 segments of the swine virus AH1N1, the 9 genes of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 isolate SARS-CoV-2/human as well as the human genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 associated with the breast cancer issue. The analysis of the experimental results show that the QoS of the individual runs fall in the range of+10%, except for the case study of BRCA1 and BRCA2 where the range is within ∓1%. In this paper we have proposed a conceptual model of differential analytical scientific workflow for imaging diagnostics of abnormal pneumonias. The model is based on the method of deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) and the approach of Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (Grad-CAM), which uses specific for the class information from the gradient, incoming in the last convolutional layer of CNN, in order to create rough map of localization of important region within the medical image. The proposed conceptual model is implement in Python with Google's open source framework Tensorflow and Keras. In the development process, we have used customized Jupiter Notebook – Colab. For the creation and visualization plots we used Matplotlib. Neural Networks are pre-trained with ImageNet dataset, which consist of large amount of non-medical images. The experimental results for the 5 types of convolutional neural networks show accuracy more than 95%. This paper aims to suggest a conceptual framework of the interaction between Management Control Systems (MCS) and Big Data Analytics (BDA), since MCS can be considered as the formal, information-based routines and procedures managers use to maintain or alter patterns in organizational activities. Developed as a theoretical framework, it could contribute to understanding of how BDA capabilities, which are one of the most important factors for successful strategy implementation, could influence MCS in order to achieve the strategic goals of the company. For the purposes of the conceptual framework development the Simons' Levers of Control framework is used. It is considered as appropriate since it combines a focus on the achievement of the strategic goals of the organization with the broader perception of the control mechanisms that can be used for effective and efficient implementation of the strategy. The proposed framework can be considered as a contribution to the effective strategy implementation due to the fact that it provides the opportunity to define how BDA interacts and affects the fourth Levers of Control. In this paper we have analyzed the IoT security issues in the context of security intelligence and IoT analytics. Furthermore, the potential and benefits of applying Big data technologies have been revealed for building up intelligent security solutions for the IoT ecosystem. The paper below introduces a comparative analysis between two image classification technologies for the purposes of medical breast cancer. The first technology is based on the concept of convolutional neural networks, and the second one on the use of feature vectors generated by wavelet transform and the use of Euclidean distance to determine similarity. Experiments are performed using both technologies and a specialized test database. Based on the obtained results, the classification accuracy, precision and recall measures are determined. While youth transitions to adulthood have been subject to various social studies, it is often the case that statistical tools of choice are limited in terms of sophistication and flexibility. Our study uses information collected as part of the SAHWA project [1] with the primary goal being to verify if machine learning can help rule out inappropriate assumptions and improve transition to adulthood analysis by outlining youth groups, their common characteristics and outlier cases (as well as if they are significant). As data includes numeric, as well as categorical and nominal variables use of common algorithms like K-Means clustering is not possible. It's also not reasonable to build on Eucledian distances in this mixed space, ruling out other classification methods that rely on it. We split the clustering algorithm selection into: (1) selection of distance calculation function, (2) algorithm and (3) decision on number of groups. Real estate has always been an important investment opportunity. With a diverse set of financial instruments linked to real estate assets, it is significant for both investors and intermediaries. In this paper we assess how artificial intelligence can be used to improve our understanding for the real estate market changes. We suggest and test a three-stage model in support for real estate valuation and market forecasting, that is able to account for global economic factors as well as for individual characteristics influencing property prices. Every stage provides for using different artificial intelligence and machine learning methods in order to automate processing of market data and assess how qualitative factors affect valuation. The quality of medical images is very important in clinical use, such as clinical diagnosis, pathology analysis, etc. This paper presents a brief survey of the advantages and trends of medical image processing techniques based on multidimensional wavelet transforms as well as their combinations with other methods, which model each coefficient set as a tensor. Unlike the classical wavelet decompositions wavelet tensor modifications has only one parameter to be tuned, which makes the computing easier to use in various medical processing methods such as noise reduction, compression, segmentation, classification, medical image fusion.
