BackgroundAdverse childhood experiences (ACEs) tend to cluster together in daily life, and most studies focus on the level of depression at certain points, but the dynamic process of depression is often neglected. Thus, research is urgently needed to explore the relationship between ACEs pattern and trajectory of depressive symptom levels at multiple time points in order to provides early targeted interventions to those who are most at risk.ObjectiveWe aimed to explore patterns of ACEs, including types and timing, associated with depression trajectories in college students.MethodsA school-based health survey was used to collect data as part of a longitudinal study in two medical college in Anhui province, China. Questionnaires were issued to 3,662 participants aged 17–22 and recorded details of ACEs (types and timing) and depression. Latent class analysis (LCA) was used to identify “patterns” of ACEs type and timing. Depressive symptom trajectories employed latent class growth analysis (LCGA). Multiple logistic regressions were employed to evaluate the relationships between ACEs patterns and depressive symptom trajectories.ResultsWe identified five ACEs patterns: “High neglect/emotional abuse/community violence,” “High neglect/emotional abuse,” “High neglect/family dysfunction,” “High neglect,” “Low ACEs.” We traced three depression trajectories: “High depressive symptom” “Moderate depressive symptom,” “Low depressive symptom.” “High neglect/emotional abuse/community violence,” “High neglect/emotional abuse” and “High neglect/family dysfunction” demonstrated a high risk for “High depressive symptom” and “Moderate depressive symptom.” “High neglect” showed a high risk for “Moderate depressive symptom” but not for “High depressive symptom” (P < 0.05).ConclusionsThe findings address the need for a comprehensive consideration of exposure to childhood adversity associated with the risk of depression in young adults through identifying more problematic ACEs patterns amongst exposed children.

Background: Asthma serves as a chronic inflammatory respiratory diseases disorder. It mainly occurs airway inflammation and remodeling. Circular RNA (circRNA) is mainly the control of cancer disease and asthma. In specific work, we were interested in the function of circRHOT1 in the advances in asthma. Methods: Effects of platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) on airway smooth muscle cells (ASMCs) and remolded simulation cells were assessed. The expressions of circRHOT1, TLR4, and Tip60 were detected by qRT-PCR and the increase and decrease of cell number were analyzed by cell count-8 (CCK-8), Transwell or flow cytometry. At the same time, the levels of PCNA, IGF1R protein were determined by western blot approach. The correlation of circRHOT1, TLR4, and Tip60 was analyzed by qRT-PCR, western blotting, ChIP, and RNA pulldown. Results: CircRHOT1 was significantly elevated in the serum collected from asthmatic patients. PDGF-BB had a positive effect on ASMCs with enhanced levels of circRHOT1, TLR4, and Tip60. Depletion of circRHOT1 avoided wider impact and migration but induced cell apoptosis. CircRHOT1 contributed PDGF-BB had a direct impact on the proliferation and migration of ASMCs by regulating TLR4. Mechanically, circRHOT1 could cooperate with acetyltransferase Tip60 in ASMCs. CircRHOT1 silencing was easy to have an adverse effect on the enrichment of Tip60 on TLR4 promoter in ASMCs. The depletion of circRHOT1 or Tip60 reduced h3k27ac and RNA polymerase II on the TLR4 promoter. Consistently, the inhibition of circRHOT1 or Tip60 reduced TLR4 expression in ASMCs. The deletion of circRHOT1 could reduce the expression level of TLR4, but the overexpression of Tip60 was easy to have a positive effect on the down-regulation of ASMCs. In addition, Tip60 could inhibit ASMCs proliferation and migration caused by PDGF-BB stimulation. CircRHOT1 could use PDGF-BB to stimulate ASMCs proliferation and migration when Tip60 regulation was implemented. Conclusions: We can think that based on the related effects of Tip60/TLR4, circular RNA circRHOT1 with platelet-derived growth factor BB can stimulate airway smooth muscle cells to proliferate or migrate, and circRHOT1 is an important target for the treatment of asthma.

The biological scaffolds of tissue engineering are required to have good biocompatibility, matched mechanical properties, as well as morphology and microstructure for cell growth and reproduction. Although a large number of biomaterials have been developed to prepare tissue-engineering scaffolds, the forming problems and poor mechanical properties of the scaffolds still seriously limit the development of tissue engineering. The sodium alginate was used as raw material, and its mechanical properties were enhanced by agarose. The structure and morphology of sodium alginate/agarose composite hydrogels with different ratios were studied,the mechanical properties were tested. In addition, the composite hydrogel scaffold was formed by direct ink writing, and the size of the microscopic pores in composite hydrogels were designed and observed. The results show that the composite hydrogels with different ratios have little difference in water content, all around 90%. Apart from the pure agarose gel and the composite gel with a volume ratio of 1：2, the surface and cross section of the composite gel in other ratios are relatively rough. Agarose can enhance the composite gel to a certain extent, and the composite gel with the volume ratio of sodium alginate to agarose of 2：1 has the highest compression modulus, which can reach 0.353 MPa. The decomposition of calcium carbonate created submicron pores in the composite hydrogel,therefore the prepared composite hydrogel has rough surface and micro-pores,which is conducive for cell growth and reproduction.

Notwithstanding previous studies have proved the anti-apoptotic effect of Bcl-2 associated athanogene3 (BAG3) in myocardium, the structural domains PXXP and BAG responsible for its protection are not reformed. Since BAG3 in cardiomyocytes is a new target for inhibiting apoptosis induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) stress, we demonstrated that over-expression of BAG3 reduced the injury induced by H/R in either neonatal or adult rat cardiomyocytes (NRCMs and ARCMs, respectively) and PXXP and BAG domains play an important role in cellular protection in H/R stress. Apoptosis in cardiomyocytes induced by hypoxia-reperfusion was evaluated with propidium iodide (PI) staining, cleaved caspase-3, and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labelling (TUNEL) staining in cultured NRCMS. Either increasing expression of BAG3 or its mutants was performed to manipulate the level of BAG3. Co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) was used to demonstrate the complex that BAG3 is binding to HSC70 and JNK. PXXP and BAG domains of BAG3 played an essential role in BAG3 attenuating cardiomyocytes apoptosis induced by H/R through the JNK signalling pathway. The cellular protection of BAG3 with its structural domain PXXP or BAG is associated with the binding with HSC70 and JNK. These results showed that the protective effect of BAG3 on apoptosis induced by H/R stress is closely related to its structural domains PXXP and BAG. The mechanism may provide a new therapeutic strategy for the patients suffering from ischemic cardiomyopathy and may be a critical role of its PXXP and BAG3 domains.

The performance influence on the dual fuel engine by the intake/exhaust port flow coefficient and swirl are major factors to the dual fuel engine. Therefor the optimization of the intake and the exhaust ports was carried out to ensure the adaptability of the airway structure to the ACD320 dual fuel engine in this paper. According to the limitation conditions of the structural parameters, the multiple airways crossing the diameter of the intake/exhaust port were designed. The research on variation rules of flow and swirl characteristics in different intake/exhaust port circulation cross-sectional area by aerodynamics modeling and simulating approach to optimizing the matching degree between the cylinder and the intake/exhaust port of a marine dual fuel engine was presented. And the optimizing match results were verified and analyzed by the experimental results of the practical intake and exhaust port models. The influence on the performance by the intake/exhaust air flow area and the valve lift is analyzed comprehensively by the AVL test results of the intake and the exhaust ports. The suction and combustion processes at different size of intake and exhaust port are simulated by AVL Fire to validate the optimum matching. Results show that the intake flow coefficient tends to be stable when the diameter of the intake port greater than 83 mm, the swirl number tends to be stable when the diameter of the intake port greater than 88 mm and the exhaust flow coefficient tends to be stable when the diameter of the exhaust port greater than 80 mm. Analysis show that the mean flow coefficient present optimum consequence when the diameter of the intake port is 88.6 mm. By analyzing and comparing intake airflow, efficiency, emissions and indicate power, the fifth group (intake port 88.60 mm, exhaust port 80.00 mm) matching is the optimum matching for ACD320 type marine dual fuel engine. The results provide reference for the design and optimization of dual fuel engine.

Abstract Background China proposed the Zero Markup Drug Policy (ZMDP), which popularized in tertiary hospitals across the country in 2017, to control drug expenditures’ rapid growth further and reduce the public’s medical burden. This study aims to evaluate the impact of ZMDP on the drug cost of chronic disease outpatients in the tertiary hospital in Chongqing. Methods We collected and described the drug-cost data for outpatients with chronic diseases in a Chongqing’s tertiary hospital from 2015 to 2019. The instantaneous and long-term changes of the outpatient volume and average drug cost after the ZMDP were evaluated using interrupted time series (ITS). We also analyzed the policy’s impact under the stratification of gender, age, and basic medical insurance types. Results A total of 350,848 outpatients were collected from January 2015 to February 2019. Abstract In this article, the dissipative asynchronous control is investigated for a series of continuous‐time singular Markov jump linear parameter‐varying (SMJLPV) systems under a dynamic event‐triggered scheme, in which the system parameters depend on the measured parameters in real time. The dynamic event‐triggered scheme (DES) is used to bring down the channel congestion caused by the limited bandwidth and raise the utilisation ratio of network resources. Then, the Markov chains of SMJLPV systems with partially known transition rates are discussed, which can further reduce the conservatism to some extent. Specifically, since the controller cannot accurately receive the modes information of the system in real time, the hidden Markov model is established to depict the asynchronous phenomenon. Next, in the light of the parameter‐dependence Lyapunov functional, the criteria of stochastically admissible for the considered SMJLPV systems with the given dissipative performance is obtained. In such context, parameter‐dependent linear matrix inequalities are obtained and a cooperative design method of asynchronous controller and the weighting matrix of the DES is proposed. Finally, numerical examples under two different event‐triggered schemes are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This study investigates the montmorillonite (MMT) content, rotational viscosity, and colloidal index of sodium montmorillonite (Na-MMT) as a function of the sodium agent dosage, reaction time, reaction temperature, and stirring time. Na-MMT was modified using different octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (OTAC) dosages under optimal sodification conditions. The organically modified MMT products were characterized via infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the Na-MMT with good properties (i.e., the maximum rotational viscosity and highest Na-MMT content with no decrease in the colloid index) was obtained at a 2.8% sodium carbonate dosage (measured based on the MMT mass), a temperature of 25 °C, and a reaction time of two hours. Upon organic modification of the optimized Na-MMT, OTAC entered the NA-MMT interlayer, and the contact angle was increased from 20.0° to 61.4°, the layer spacing was increased from 1.58 to 2.47 nm, and the thermal stability was conspicuously increased. Thus, MMT and Na-MMT were modified by the OTAC modifier.

Seven undescribed guaiane-type sesquiterpenoids named biscogniauxiaols A–G (1–7) were isolated from the endophytic fungus Biscogniauxia petrensis on Dendrobium orchids. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic analyses, electronic circular dichroism (EC) and specific rotation (SR) calculations. Compound 1 represented a new family of guaiane-type sesquiterpenoids featuring an unprecedented [5/6/6/7] tetracyclic system. A plausible biosynthetic pathway for compounds 1–7 was proposed. The anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and multidrug resistance reversal activities of the isolates were evaluated. Compounds 1, 2 and 7 exhibited potent inhibitory activities against Candida albicans with MIC values ranging from 1.60 to 6.30 μM, and suppressed nitric oxide (NO) production with IC50 ranging from 4.60 to 20.00 μM. Additionally, all compounds (100 μg/mL) enhanced the cytotoxicity of cisplatin in cisplatin-resistant non-small cell lung cancer cells (A549/DDP). This study opened up a new source for obtaining bioactive guaiane-type sesquiterpenoids and compounds 1, 2, and 7 were promising for further optimization as multifunctional inhibitors for anti-fungal (C. albicans) and anti-inflammatory purposes.

Rice seed variety purity, an important index for measuring rice seed quality, has a great impact on the germination rate, yield, and quality of the final agricultural products. To classify rice varieties more efficiently and accurately, this study proposes a multimodal l fusion detection method based on an improved voting method. The experiment collected eight common rice seed types. Raytrix light field cameras were used to collect 2D images and 3D point cloud datasets, with a total of 3194 samples. The training and test sets were divided according to an 8:2 ratio. The experiment improved the traditional voting method. First, multiple models were used to predict the rice seed varieties. Then, the predicted probabilities were used as the late fusion input data. Next, a comprehensive score vector was calculated based on the performance of different models. In late fusion, the predicted probabilities from 2D and 3D were jointly weighted to obtain the final predicted probability. Finally, the predicted value with the highest probability was selected as the final value. In the experimental results, after late fusion of the predicted probabilities, the average accuracy rate reached 97.4%. Compared with the single support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbors (kNN), convolutional neural network (CNN), MobileNet, and PointNet, the accuracy rates increased by 4.9%, 8.3%, 18.1%, 8.3%, and 9%, respectively. Among the eight varieties, the recognition accuracy of two rice varieties, Hannuo35 and Yuanhan35, by applying the voting method improved most significantly, from 73.9% and 77.7% in two dimensions to 92.4% and 96.3%, respectively. Thus, the improved voting method can combine the advantages of different data modalities and significantly improve the final prediction results.

Abstract Background Post-spinal anesthesia hypotension during cesarean delivery is caused by decreased systemic vascular resistance due to the blockage of the autonomic nerves, which is further worsened by inferior vena cava (IVC) compression by the gravid uterus. This study aimed to assess whether peak velocity and diameter of the IVC below the xiphoid or right common femoral vein (RCFV) in the inguinal region, as measured on ultrasound, could reflect the degree of IVC compression and further identify parturients at risk of post-spinal hypotension. Methods Fifty-six parturients who underwent elective cesarean section with spinal anesthesia were included in this study; peak velocities and anteroposterior diameters of the IVC and peak velocities and transverse diameters of the RCFV were measured using ultrasound before anesthesia. The primary outcome was the ultrasound measurements of IVC and RCFV acquired before spinal anesthesia and their association with post-spinal hypotension. Hypotension was defined as a drop in systolic arterial pressure by > 20% from the baseline. Multinomial logistic regression analysis was used to identify the association between the measurements of IVC, RCFV, and post-spinal hypotension during cesarean delivery. Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to test the abilities of the identified parameters to predict post-spinal hypotension; the areas under the curve and optimum cut-off values for the predictive parameters were calculated. Results A longer transverse diameter of the RCFV was associated with the occurrence of post-spinal hypotension (odds ratio = 2.022, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.261–3.243). The area under the receiver operating characteristics curve for the prediction of post-spinal hypotension was 0.759 (95% CI 0.628–0.890, P = 0.001). A transverse diameter of > 12.2 mm of the RCFV could predict post-spinal hypotension during cesarean delivery. Conclusions A longer transverse diameter of RCFV was associated with hypotension and could predict parturients at a major risk of hypotension before anesthesia. Strategic management is vital for significant infrastructure public-private partnership (PPP) projects characterised by a heavy and irreversible investment over a long period. In PPP projects, the financing strategy relates to the capital structure of the project and the coordination of the participants’ requirements. In this paper, a system dynamics (SD) model is described to analyse the impacts of two types of financing strategies on the needs of creditors, the government, and private investors, considering the dynamic and complex characteristics of infrastructure PPP projects. The proposed model has been implemented on a PPP highway project. A number of experiments were conducted over a 33-year strategic planning horizon as a means of assessing the long-term effects of different financing strategies. The experimental results reveal that the model is a useful tool that could support decision-makers in identifying the intervals with different management focus of financing risk and comparing different financing strategies to choose the optimal one. It is especially helpful for the government to select a financing strategy for infrastructure PPP projects with capital limitations.

BACKGROUND Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are one of the persistent organic pollutants which are carcinogenic and difficult to degrade, and are widespread in the environment. The direct analysis of trace PAHs in the environment is often difficult because of the low sensitivity of the detection methods. It is necessary to combine separation and enrichment methods. Conventional sample pretreatment techniques, such as Soxhlet extraction and liquid-liquid extraction, are time-consuming and use a large number of organic solvents. OBJECTIVES To develop a new, simple, and environmentally-friendly method for sample pretreatment. METHODS Solid phase microextraction (SPME) is a solvent-free pretreatment technology which integrates sampling, enrichment and injection. Combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), it can produce the rapid enrichment and detection of trace organic compounds in a complex matrix. At present, the research focus of improving SPME technology is to improve the mechanical strength and extraction performance of the coating. Using iron wire (IW) as the carrier, which also provided the iron ion source, a porous MOFs film[MIL-53(Fe)] was grown on iron wire with good mechanical stability by in-situ self-transformation. It was used as the solid phase microextraction coating[IW@MIL-53(Fe)]. Seven kinds of non-volatile condensed ring PAHs were used as the target analyte, and immersion extraction mode combined with GC-MS as detection means were used to verify its extraction performance. RESULTS Results showed that the extraction performance of the new coating was 1-2 times higher than that of the commercial 100μm PDMS coating, and the coating can be used stably for more than 120 times. The detection limits of the methods were 0.03-2.25ng/L, the linear ranges were 250-10000ng/L, and the correlation coefficients were in the range of 0.9903-0.9991. The coating was applied successfully to the detection of PAHs in natural water, where the recoveries were from 80.1% to 108.5%. CONCLUSIONS This study not only provides an idea for the simple and rapid preparation of high-efficiency SPME coatings, but also has great potential to be applied to determinate trace volatile organic pollutants in water with high accurateness and efficiency.

This article introduces safety management strategies of nasopharyngeal specimen collection from suspected cases of coronavirus disease 2019 in a tertiary designated hospital. The key points include establishing a special sampling room, strict sterilization of the entire environment, training of professional nurses, enhancement of personal protection, standardization of methods and processes for swab collection, and a timely and safety sample submission. More than 11,000 nasopharyngeal specimens were collected by eight nurses, with an average of 1,375 specimen swab collections each nurse, and no one was infected.

Moringa oleifera Lam. is a tropical and subtropical plant that has been used for centuries as both food and traditional medicine. 4-[(α-L-Rhamnosyloxy) benzyl] isothiocyanate (MIC-1) is an active substance in M. oleifera, with anti-cancer activity. However, whether MIC-1 exerts anti-renal cancer effects is unknown. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of MIC-1 on the growth and migration of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) cells and to identify the putative underlying mechanism. We found that, among 30 types of cancer cells, MIC-1 exerted the strongest growth inhibitory effects against 786-O RCC cells. In addition, MIC-1 (10 μM) significantly inhibited the growth of five RCC cell lines, including 786-O, OSRC-2, 769-P, SK-NEP-1, and ACHN cells, but was not toxic to normal renal (HK2) cells. Also, MIC-1 suppressed 786-O and 769-P cell migration and invasion abilities, and reduced the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9. Furthermore, MIC-1 induced apoptosis and cell cycle arrest, increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, and decreased cell cycle-related protein expression in 786-O cells and 769-P cells. Molecular docking and small-molecule interaction analyses with PTP1B both showed that MIC-1 inhibited PTP1B activity by binding to its active site through hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions. Additionally, MIC-1 could suppress the growth and migration of 786-O cells by inhibiting PTP1B-mediated activation of the Src/Ras/Raf/ERK signaling pathway. In vivo experiments further showed that MIC-1 markedly inhibited the growth of xenograft tumors in mice, and greatly increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio in tumor tissues. In addition, MIC-1 had no effect on the PTP1B-dependent Src/Ras/Raf/ERK signaling pathway in HCT-116 cells, Hep-G2 cells, and A431 cells. Overall, our data showed that MIC-1 could be a promising, non-toxic, natural dietary supplement for the prevention and treatment of renal cancer.

The abnormal disposal process of electronic waste (e-waste) always emits a variety of toxic substances that enter the human body through various environmental media and can have many adverse health effects. Metals are thought to be inextricably linked to neurodegeneration. In the present study, we tried to explore the neurodegenerative status of subjects exposed to e-waste and the association between metal intake and neurodegeneration. We recruited the residents near the e-waste recycling area (the exposed group) and the residents without any e-waste contact history (the reference group) for a comparative study with detection and analysis of metals, biomarkers associated with neurodegeneration or oxidative stress (OS). The results showed that the metals between the reference and exposed group were significantly different. The concentrations of Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and β-amyloid protein 42 (Aβ42) in the exposed groups were significantly lower, while the levels of Euchromatic Histone lysine Methyltransferase 1 (EHMT1), Bromodomain Adjacent to Zinc finger domain 2B (BAZ2B) and Malondialdehyde (MDA) were significantly higher than in the reference groups. Although the ratio of Aβ42/Aβ40 had no statistical significance in the two groups, the medians of the ratio in the exposed group was lower than in the reference group. Sensors have been used in various agricultural production scenarios due to significant advances in the Agricultural Internet of Things (Ag-IoT), leading to smart agriculture. Intelligent control or monitoring systems rely heavily on trustworthy sensor systems. Nonetheless, sensor failures are likely due to various factors, including key equipment malfunction or human error. A faulty sensor can produce corrupted measurements, resulting in incorrect decisions. Early detection of potential faults is crucial, and fault diagnosis techniques have been proposed. The purpose of sensor fault diagnosis is to detect faulty data in the sensor and recover or isolate the faulty sensors so that the sensor can finally provide correct data to the user. Current fault diagnosis technologies are based mainly on statistical models, artificial intelligence, deep learning, etc. The further development of fault diagnosis technology is also conducive to reducing the loss caused by sensor failures.

The heavy metals pollution and related health issues were widely reported in e-waste sites, while the impacts of e-waste exposure on the essential trace elements have been neglected. The aim of this study was focused on the internal Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn levels in the residents from an e-waste site and the potential endocrine disrupting effects of these essential trace elements on the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis. Abstract While tremendous progress has recently been made in perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs), large‐area blue devices feature inferior performance due to uneven morphologies and vast defects in the solution‐processed perovskite films. To alleviate these issues, a facile and reliable interface engineering scheme is reported for manipulating the crystallization of perovskite films enabled by a multifunctional molecule 2‐amino‐1,3‐propanediol (APDO)‐triggered “anchoring effect” at the grain‐growth interface. Sky‐blue perovskite films with large‐area uniformity and low trap states are obtained, showing the distinctly improved radiative recombination and hole‐transport capability. Based on the APDO‐induced interface engineering, synergistical boost in device performance is achieved for large‐area sky‐blue PeLED (measuring at 100 mm2) with a peak external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 9.2% and a highly prolonged operational lifetime. A decent EQE up to 6.1% is demonstrated for the largest sky‐blue device emitting at 400 mm2.
