There are several blood-based markers to assess iron stores, but they all have some limitations. Hepcidin, a low-molecular-weight peptide hormone, is produced mainly by the liver. It is the main regulator of iron homeostasis by preventing iron release into plasma from absorptive enterocytes and macrophages. This review aims to critically assess existing data on potential role of hepcidin in diagnosis, particularly the (pre) analytical implications of the hepcidin measurement. There is a well-known causative correlation between hepcidin and iron deficiency. Therefore, hepcidin is considered as a promising marker in the assessment of iron status, particularly in patients with a diagnostic dilemma, such as patients with chronic renal disease and infants. The clinical implications of this peptide hormone in diagnosis of other diseases have been expanded in the recent studies, including elevated hepcidin levels in neoplastic diseases, sepsis, and inflammation. The potential role of hepcidin in diagnosis is controversial in the various types of iron deficiency because data are conflicting (as in anaemia of chronic disease) or limited (as in infants), whereas in the case of hereditary haemochromatosis, it has been proposed that hepcidin may be used for stratification of molecular testing, or to improve the frequency of phlebotomy, however, this issue still needs to be investigated. Due to lack of a clinically approved test, the medical application of this peptide as a biomarker in diagnosis is restricted. Recently, assays have been developed to determine hepcidin levels in serum and urine, facilitating the future use of hepcidin in research and clinical practice.

Objectives Deprescribing is the process of optimization of medication regimens through cessation of potentially inappropriate or unnecessary medications or adjustment of doses with the goal of managing polypharmacy and improving outcomes. Deprescribing potentially improves adherence by reducing polypharmacy. This study aimed to assess polypharmacy patients’ adherence attitudes and their attitudes towards deprescribing. Methods A cross-sectional study that targeted polypharmacy patients at outpatient clinics at King Abdullah University Hospital. The inclusion criteria were (1) patients ≥18 years old, (2) patients taking five or more medications, and (3) patients who do not require a caregiver or assistance at home. We excluded patients that showed any signs of moderate or severe cognitive impairment. Patients who met the inclusion/exclusion criteria were interviewed by a clinical pharmacist and completed two survey instruments: revised Patients’ Attitudes Toward Deprescribing (rPATD) and Adherence Attitude Inventory (AAI). Key findings In total, 501 patients took part in this study. Over half of the participants were not satisfied with their current medicines and over 70% of them perceived that their current medications are a burden to them and would like their prescribers to initiate deprescribing. The majority of the participants have low to medium adherence attitudes primarily due to ineffective patient–provider communication. Logistic regression analysis revealed that self-efficacy, commitment to adherence, education and age were significantly associated with participants’ willingness to stop one or more of their medications. Conclusions Our findings suggest that polypharmacy patients have negative attitudes towards their medication therapy and favour deprescribing. These reported attitudes had been associated with negative adherence attitudes. Study findings offer schematic direction for future investigations of the role of adherence on key health-related outcomes in patients on polypharmacy. Furthermore, research is warranted to investigate the impact of deprescribing on polypharmacy patients’ medication adherence.

The main objective of this research is identifying the food consumption behavior of rural woman in El-Beheira Governorate, Egypt. These objective can be achieve by sub-objectives as follow: (1) Identifying the knowledge level of rural woman in relation to food consumption behavior to achieve household food security, (2) Identifying the food consumption practices carried out by rural woman to maintain the health of the family, and to identify the trends of rural woman related to food consumption behavior, (3) Studying the importance of the quality of food consumer goods for the researched rural woman, and studying the correlational and regressive relationships between the socio-economic and communication characteristics of rural woman and their food consumption behavior, (4) Identifying the problems of food consumption from the point of view of rural woman and their proposals to solve them. The data collection was based on a questionnaire with a personal interview from the respondents, as the comprehensiveness of this study involved all rural woman in the two local units in the Abu al-Matamir Center in El-Beheira Governorate, namely: Nimriya and Kom al-Faraj. The females in them (122665) represent the comprehensiveness of this study, and a random sample of (0.25%) was chosen from the comprehensive, which resulted in (306) rural woman representing the study sample, and (6) forms were excluded from the sample due to the lack of data in them. The statistical methods were represented in percentages, frequency tables, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis, partial regression coefficient, multiple phase regression, T-test, F-test, and the most important results were as follows: The results of the research showed that about (78.7%) of the respondents enjoy a high level of knowledge, that the majority of the respondents (73%) enjoy an average level of practice, and that the majority of the respondents (72%) have a high level of attitude in relation to food consumption behavior, in addition to the fact that the majority of the respondents (75.3%) have a high level of food consumption behavior, and the results of the study also showed that the independent variables that were significantly associated with the food consumption behavior of rural woman as a dependent variable were: age, marital status, family size, education level, information sources from which rural woman draw its information on food consumption behavior, and the quality of food consumer commodities for the researched rural woman, it was also found that: age, marital status, family size, education level, and quality of food consumption commodities of the rural woman surveyed are responsible for explaining (61%) of the total variance in the food consumption behavior of rural woman as a dependent variable. It was clear from the results of the research that the food consumption problems from the perspective of rural woman were represented in: high prices (vegetables, fruits and food commodities) (69.3%), a decrease in income with increased burdens on the family (64.7%), and commercial fraud (selling commodities expired, removing data from packages, selling spoiled food in restaurants, using bad packages, selling commodities of unknown origin, and cheating in weights) (56.3%), and children’s frequent consumption of food with artificial colors and preservatives (30.3%), unavailability of gas pipes and their high prices (26.7%), frequent power cuts, which leads to rapid spoilage of stored food (25.7%), and frequent spraying of vegetables and fruits with pesticides (16.7%), the lack of control over the markets and the lack of strict laws on those who cheat in the markets (15%), and the absence of awareness campaigns regarding the following (correct food storage methods, manifestations of fraud, housekeeping methods, and components of the integrated diet) (13.7%), marketing of immature vegetables and fruits (10.7%), continuous lack of high-quality food commodities (9%), constant water cuts and uncleanliness (7%), and the absence of a role for consumer protection associations in rural areas (7%). the lack of guidance to agricultural producers on appropriate agricultural practices to maintain the quality of crops (3.7%), the lack of diversity of food commodities available in the markets (3.3%), and the distance between the village and the market (3%). It was clear from the results of the research that the solutions to the food consumption problems facing the respondents from their point of view in the research area were: reducing the prices of commodities and food products (66.7%), controlling markets and punishing those who do the following (selling expired commodities, selling commodities of unknown origin, removing data from packages, using improper food packages, selling commodities unfit for human consumption (49%), and spreading a culture of consumer awareness (educating consumers on methods of commercial fraud, awareness of proper storage methods, awareness of the components of an integrated meal, and awareness not to overdo it eating foods containing preservatives and artificial colors (44%), increasing income and supporting woman financially and morally (34%), solving the problem of electricity cuts (22%), providing gas pipelines and reducing their prices (20.3%), reducing the spraying of crops with pesticides (15.3%), providing diverse and high-quality food commodities (12.3%), and marketing ripe vegetables and fruits (10%), communicating the problems of rural consumers to officials (7.7%), providing clean and usable water (6.7%), reporting fraud immediately to responsible authorities (6%), and instructing producers on correct agricultural practices (3%), and setting up projects for young graduates from agricultural colleges to sell reliable products (0.3%).

Flame speed and laminar burning velocity (LBV) are important properties of fuel combustion. Both have an impact on how combustion systems are designed and operated. As a result, understanding how LBV and flame speed fluctuate as a function of thermodynamic conditions is critical for understanding the impact of practical applications in all combustion systems. Working pressures and temperatures are far higher than those found in the environment. Several studies on flame speed and LBV have been conducted. This study, however, includes a thorough literature analysis of approaches and procedures used to measure these two parameters, as well as the effects of operational factors for various fuels, with a focus on biofuels, for the sake of review simplicity.

Aspirin, one of the oldest and most widely used anti-inflammatory drugs, has lately been found to lessen the incidence of cancer. The main pharmacological effects of aspirin are thought to be generated by its covalent alteration of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) via acetylation of Ser530. However, the exact biochemical mechanism and specificity of how it works have yet to be figured out. In modern times, there has been a lot of research done on the qualities of spectra for pharmaceuticals (such as fluorescence), and the goal of this research is to display more physicochemical features of molecules. Anthracene is colorless, but when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, it fluoresces blue (with a maximum emission range of 400–450 nm). The ratio of the number of photons that are emitted to the number of photons that are absorbed can be used as a measurement of the quantum yield, which is a measurement of the efficiency of photon emission. The quantum yield ratio is the name given to this particular ratio. In the present work, we studied absorption spectra by spectrophotometer and fluorescence by spectrofluorometer photometer from UV to visible range for aspirin. We found that aspirin fluoresces (max = 370–470 nm) under UV light.

Path planning algorithms are essential tools in various fields of robotics, such as autonomous vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles, and mobile robots. The A* algorithm is a well-known path-planning algorithm that finds the shortest path between two points in a given environment. Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT) and Probabilistic Roadmaps (PRM) are also popular algorithms that efficiently find feasible paths in high-dimensional and complex environments. In this study, the aforementioned path-planning algorithms are utilized, examined, and compared in terms of computational time for pick-and-place robots used in specific areas of the production lines. This study also analyzes and contrasts the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm by simulating the machine alignment of the most common production lines and concentrating on the effective parameters that may be modified in each algorithm to fulfill the requirements. This study showed that each algorithm could be adjusted. Still, The A* algorithm gives the shortest path with a short computational time, contrary to RRT, but RRT results can be enhanced to find a shorter path as the computational time increases; otherwise, it gives a path with a very short computational time, and PRM gives an unpredictable new path for each iteration and its length inversely proportional to the computational time.

ANSYS -FLUENT using, Analysis of the temperature distribution through the room's walls takes into account the effect of using air gaps of various thicknesses for a number of gaps (8 cm, 5 cm, and 2.5 cm) between walls, with the goal of determining the ideal thickness. The analysis is done through simulation, with the results being compared to those from the experimental study. The current study's room dimensions were 1.56 x 1.5 and 1.5 cm, and it selected the winter weather conditions in Najaf Al-Shraf in January and February as the weather conditions that were impacted. The current study included two aspects, one of which is histological and the other physiological. It included (75) blood samples from women with breast cancer, in addition to (15) blood samples for healthy women as control, in addition to collecting tissue biopsy from the mammary glands of some women whose blood samples were drawn Including them in advance. Those diagnosed with breast cancer and ages ranged between 38-68 years, where the study was conducted from 1 May 2019 to 2 October 2019. Gland tissue and the owner of those tumours swelling of the axillary lymph nodes. Another cancer that was found was papillary carcinoma, where epithelial hyperplasia appeared in the form of large papillae that filled the cavity of the gland. There is a large number of white blood cells and severe hematoma. Another type of gland cancer discovered is cribriform carcinoma, which is a rare case. Invasive cancer is the most dangerous, as it is observed in the glandular tissue with the presence of agglutination and crowding of tumour cells and tumour cysts. The study also showed haematological changes characterized by a highly significant concentration of Endothelin-1 (P< 0.01) in the blood of women with breast cancer group 5 and group 4, compared to the control group as a usual case. At the same time, there was a significant increase (P < 0.05) in the con- centration of Endothelin-1 in infected women in groups 3, 2 and 6 compared to the control group. The study showed a very significant decrease (P < 0.01) in the cholesterol concentration of women with breast cancer of group 5, and group 6 compared to the control group, while its level decreased significantly (P ≤ 0.05) in-group 4 compared to the control group.

Few studies evaluate the efficacy of adjuvant radiotherapy (aXRT) in patients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma undergoing resection to histologically positive (R1) margins.We queried the National Cancer Database to identify patients undergoing R1 resection for localized, large (5 cm) low and moderate grade retroperitoneal liposarcoma between 2004 and 2016. Kaplan Meier method was used to compare overall survival (OS) for patients receiving aXRT to a 1:2 propensity-matched cohort of patients undergoing resection alone.A total of 322 (76.5%) patients underwent R1 resection alone, while 99 (23.5%) underwent resection followed by aXRT. The 99 receiving aXRT were successfully 1:2 propensity-score matched to 198 undergoing resection alone. There was no difference in 5-year OS between matched cohorts (69.7% vs 76.2%, p = 0.40).In patients undergoing R1 resection of moderate- and well-differentiated retroperitoneal liposarcoma, use of aXRT is not associated with an improvement in OS.
