This article analyses the different social constructions of a landscape and contributes to the historical study of Argentinian archaeology. It does this by way of a comparative and contextualized analysis of the archaeological cartography of La Cueva gorge, which is the product of various different agents. We propose that the variety of socio-historical contexts within which these documents were made, as well as the objectives and theoretical frameworks of their creators, generated different interpretations of this socially constructed archaeological landscape. Where this article differs from previous research is it analyses part of the disciplinary history of this sector from the point of view of a previously unexplored variable: cartography. - Abstract
This essay-like article seeks to bring the philosophy of G. Deleuze and F. Guattari closer to the field of school Physical Education. Therefore, the following question is formulated as a problem: what are the connections between the rhizome concept and teaching in school Physical Education? It is argued that the concept demonstrates the functionality of reorganizing teaching relationships as long as it is supported by a cartographic mode of action – and not understood exclusively as an educational research method. Finally, the concept of didactography is proposed to defend some implications regarding the operation of the rhizome in school Physical Education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Covid-19 pandemic originated from the new Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the causative agent of the disease called Covid-19 (coronavirus disease 2019), which emerged in late 2019 in China, having its first confirmed case in the territory of Maranhão on March 20, 2020, internalizing from this period. During this, it seeks to understand the dynamics of the spatial-temporal distribution of Covid-19 in Maranhão territory using Cartography. For this, we use data from the daily bulletins of the State Department of Health (SES/MA) in conjunction with statistical techniques, as well as the use of Cartography with the Geographic Information System (GIS) to map and analyze the process of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in Maranhão. Thus, the use of these tools is essential to follow the dissemination of Covid-19, to understand the flow and displacement of people, the distribution and access to health services, as well as aspects related to inequality in access to this type of service. Their use assists in the decision-making process by public management, allowing the allocation of resources to minimize the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in the territory of Maranhão. We raise in this research various questions about the geographic information provided by Humboldt on his trip to New Spain, influencing the data relating to the scope of the Internal Provinces and their cartographic developments, with the appropriate corrections in astronomical measurements and the situation of some key places; the additional details of hydrography and orography allowed the Prussian sage to outline his own maps on the Mexican Septentrion, in a commendable task, because due to the relative brevity of his stay in the viceroyalty the cartographic work was based (unlike in Venezuela) on the reading and correction of indirect references. Landscape delimitations and typologies are considered to be of transcendental importance for the understanding of the territory and for the consideration of the landscape as a central element in valuation and management exercises. The southern Iberian plateau is notable for the scarcity of this type of studies at detailed scales. We present a contribution to the knowledge of the Alcudia Valley and Sierra Madrona, one of the most extensive and well-preserved areas of the Sierra Morena with hardly any geographical studies, based on the first detailed approximation of the classification and mapping of its landscapes. The results highlight the importance of the elaboration of cartographic syntheses supported by field work that are valid for the elaboration of maps of abiotic, biotic and anthropic structures. The evaluation and selection of variables has allowed the exercise of landscape integration, valid for the differentiation of three taxonomic-chorological levels: natural region, large landscape types and landscape types. At the proposed scale, it has been found that the key elements are the abiotic elements, which control the greatest landscape differences and explain other territorial components, being maintained over time in a lasting manner. The vegetation cover and anthropic land uses make up a mosaic that changes in space and is less permanent over time. - Abstract
The following text presents the Workshop Cycles that was, during the critical period of the Covid-19 pandemic, an extension initiative developed by the Universidade Federal de Tocantins (UFT) and coordinated by the authors, substitute professors of the aforementioned instituion. The workshop Cycle is characterized as a proposal for experimentation through reading and writing, with virtual meetings in real time where participants are invited to produce writings to be shared, using several objects of different languages/natures as triggers/devices to the writing process. As a textual composition strategy, and considering cartography and research-experimentation as theoretical-methodological horizons, we chose to describe our formative itinerary, highlighting the option for the workshop as a convenient format for educational practices of an experimental nature, and the way in wich reading and writing practices contributed to the construction of this journey, until they became the object fundamental to our interest as educators and researchers. We conclude with a cartography of the eight editions of the Workshop Cycle held by UFT, tracing some reflective elements, in line with the speeches and writings recorded by the participants, who argue in favor of experimentation as an educational motto, using reading and writing as inventive practices of the self, the other and worlds. This research aimed to map flood-prone areas in the Quintino Basin, Belém do Pará, which faces adverse events such as floods, putting the population in vulnerable and risky situations. To generate the risk, the threat analysis was cross-referenced with vulnerability. The results revealed that the flood hazard area corresponds to 40.33% of the basin's total area, with 6.4% classified as high flood risk, 15.2% as moderate flood risk, and 18.7% as low flood risk. The neighborhoods of Jurunas (91.8%) and Condor (61.6%) were the most affected ones, with a larger extent of affected areas. Those neighborhoods also showed high socio-economic vulnerability, evidenced by indicators such as child population, illiteracy rate, and income. The risk analysis and mapping indicated that 40.33% of the basin's territory is affected by the risk zone, with Jurunas (91.8%) and Condor (61.6%) neighborhoods presenting the highest percentage of risk due to the previously mentioned high socio-economic vulnerability in those areas. It is not known for sure where W. J. Blaeu was born, although it seems certain that it was in the city of Alkmaar or its surroundings. When he was very young he moved to Amsterdam. His interest in mathematics and astronomy came to the fore very early, an interest he would see satisfied during his stay at the observatory on the Danish island of Hven, directed by Tycho Brahe, from the end of 1595 until May 27, 1596. The time in which W. Blaeu was a disciple of T. Brahe was extremely profitable, since he applied the acquired knowledge in the construction of numerous globes, celestial and terrestrial, of different diameters, as well as in the formation of maps and plans. His prolific scientific activity made him an obligatory reference in the mathematical geography of the 17th century, the century of atlases or the golden age of Dutch cartography. In carrying out the mapping, a qualitative exploratory approach was followed, in an attempt to expand the survey carried out by Libório (2019) on the same theme and which had the period from 1989 to 2016 as a time lapse. The data corpus consists of 15 surveys and the data analysis process was supported by Bardin's Content Analysis, the mapping results present studies dedicated to the implementation of official documents and curricular organization; to a certain curricular component; and, to the curriculum of the initial formation courses of Mathematics teachers in a historical perspective, from narratives. CARTOGRAPHY , *EDUCATION methodology , *CURRICULUM , *MANUFACTURING processes , *GENDER - Abstract
This article explores the constitutive movements of a cartography invented to research curriculums and childhoods in dissidences. Installing itself in the territory of post-critical methodologies in Education and Curriculum, it aims to show the cartographic making of a research that investigated the agencies of life and death that children in dissidences of gender and sexuality make in the curriculum. Cartography is a way to investigate a process in production, to follow an uncertain path, a certain time that lasts. Inspired by the production of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, it is concerned with studying subjective processes, following the agencies that make an event possible. The argument developed here is that in order to map curricula and childhoods in dissidence, it is necessary to organize encounters capable of apprehending the events, to compose with the sensations produced in between the places of the bodies and to narrate in dissidence, making the narrative experience a minor, intensive and geographic use. ARCHAEOLOGY methodology , *CARTOGRAPHY , *CURRICULUM , *DISCOURSE , *ARSENALS , *DISSENTERS - Abstract
This article rescues the methodological arsenal of doctoral research that took as its object of investigation the curriculum of serial media narratives, meaning it is an artifact involved in the 'pedagogization' of existences and the delimitation of lives as livable and as killable. The objective was to highlight the death policies and affirmative escapes in the investigated curriculum. Divided into some methodological notes, the analysis of this artifact was carried out from an articulation of different postcritical orientations, producing a 'methodology-zapping', based on the analysis of Michel Foucault's discourse and the cartography of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. In the exercise of a 'methodologyzapping', we conclude that the curriculum of serial media narratives is produced between tensions, clashes, and conflicts that constitute as a hybrid artifact, making it possible to connect a map of the production of death with a map of escapes and affirmation. of life. This is because, in addition to all the necropolitics at stake, all the investments in addressing violence and death to dissident subjects, and all the attempts to either normalize or annihilate difference, there are also spaces for resistance. It is in this in-between space that the curriculum of serial media narratives demonstrates that it can shed blood, but also overflow with life. Alto Minho is a region of northern Portugal in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, which is one of the regions in Europe where fires are more frequent. The historical mapping of burned areas has been fundamental to characterize the fire regime and to determine wildfire prevention policies and urban planning measures. Over the last decades, several studies have been published seeking to characterize the impact of fire on the territory, its frequency and recurrence, based on the official cartography, provided by the Instituto de Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas - ICNF. In this study, a detailed and rigorous cartography of the areas affected by fires in the Alto Minho area in the last two decades (2001 to 2020) was developed. These areas were determined based on the analysis of 400 images from the Landsat 5 (TM), Landsat 7 (ETM+), Landsat 8 (Operational Land Imager - OLI) and Sentinel-2 (Multispectral Instrument - MSI) satellites, whose perimeters resulted from manual digitizing supported by historical series of orthophotos. A total of 12 692 fire perimeters were digitalized corresponding to 235 060 hectares of burned area in the Alto Minho region. These results substantially differ from the official cartographic information, in terms of cartographic accuracy, number of fire perimeters (3873) and burned area (179 283 hectares). This article aims to present some analyses about the way of looking at and using art to teach mathematics, implied by the act of visualization and visuality, which put specific ways of learning into operation. To this end, a workshop that used paintings by Mozambican artists is used and was carried out with Mozambican students in a Licentiate course in Mathematics Teaching. The analysis undertaken here is carried out in two movements: in the first one, mathematical thinking is put into practice with Mozambican paintings: symmetry, hyperbole, and parabola. In the second, attention is drawn to truths about the teaching of mathematics with art, for example, the statement that artworks as support contextualizing the learning of mathematics. Finally, we conclude by alluding to a decolonial ethos, which highlights a critical and continuous attitude, aligning itself with an exercise of making visualities visible to put art into practice with mathematics for teaching.
