TRANSNATIONAL education ,ISLAMIC education - Abstract
This article analyzes how the emergence of transnational Islam with its global network has changed the face of Indonesian Islam. As part of transnational Islam, the Salafi movement has embellished its ideology through the educational sphere, so it is called transnational Islamic education. The Integrated Islamic School and the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences show the ideological nuances in the education process of these two educational institutions. In this context, there is an ideological struggle between both the Egyptian and the Saudian model of Salafi education with the national education based on Pancasila. With the main agenda of the establishment of an Islamic state and putting the Shariah into practice, the Salafi education can pose a threat to global democratic order. Many cases indicate that perpetrators of global radicalism and terrorism are graduates of Salafi model schools. This proves that global democracy is currently in an ideological struggle with transnational Islamic education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The establishment of the Commissioners of National Education in 1831 provided Ireland with a non-denominational education system that was aimed at uniting the population. The development and implementation of a state-controlled system of education represents a shift in policy away from a disciplinary mechanism used to proselytise Irish children to that of a governmental technology directed at influencing the conduct of the population. This paper looks at the ideology that influenced Irish national education, how that was representative of a wider imperial ideology, and how the Irish system itself influenced the spread of that ideology. It briefly examines the rationale, structure and operation of the national system, showing the attempt to refocus social relations through encouraging cooperation in the establishment and management of schools. In this way the influence of national education went beyond the classroom to wider society. The influence of Irish education reforms are then examined in respect to those in England and in the Anglophone colonies, notably in Canada and Australia. The direct influence of the Irish system across the British Empire, including the textbooks published in Ireland, represents the development of a wider rationale aimed at changing the conduct of colonists and creating imperial citizens. The Irish national system therefore went far beyond a model for the structure of an educational system, but also encouraged the spread of an imperial ideology that legitimised and secured the governance of colonial authorities across the British Empire. The implementation of moral and national education (MNE) in Hong Kong came to a stand-still when in 2012 anti-MNE student protests triumphantly saw it being shelved. Many perceived MNE as indoctrination and politically motivated by the leadership. Five years have gone by since the demise of the MNE. Ostensibly, the struggle for hegemonic control over the MNE curriculum is lost for the moment. However, this paper argues that the battle for control over the implementation of MNE is not yet over. Simmering politics about the shelved MNE continues to be a point of debate in the media. I frame this argument using “subterfuge hegemony” in conjunction with analysis of news discourse on the MNE debate to demonstrate how hegemonic work is carried out in
South China Morning Post . Such a line of inquiry and analyses is significant as it offers the chance to deconstruct the differing interests and power relations around a high stake citizenship/civics education. It also throws light on the on-going tensions building up around the clash of “liberal” and “illiberal” ideologies that are embedded in the “One Country, Two Systems” political order in Hong Kong. Textbooks are a repository for canonical material that serve as important guides for students as they embark on their journey of learning and discovery. In a discipline as varied as Geography, it is often challenging for authors to decide what to include. We negotiate these concerns as editors of a textbook for a course on Changing Landscapes of Singapore, which is taught primarily to non‐Geography majors who are required by the university to acquire knowledge about Singapore before they graduate. This paper discusses how textbook authors often balance a multiplicity of concerns that extend beyond disciplinary content. These concerns are situated within the broader context of how geographical education plays a key role in making student‐citizens critically aware of the trade‐offs in nation‐building projects and encouraged to apply geographical concepts to engage in active and informed public debates. College and career readiness has become a national education policy priority. With more than 9.3 million rural students in the United States, the college and career readiness of rural students is a warranted priority for rural education researchers. Using a combination of Conley’s (2012) college and career readiness model, Perna’s (2006) nested model of college choice, and Social Cognitive Career Theory (Lent et al., 2014), we systematically reviewed and analyzed the extant literature on rural students’ college and career readiness. In addition to providing a comprehensive discussion of the prominent themes in the literature, we provide recommendations for future research on rural students’ college and career readiness as well as changes to college and career readiness standards and practices that would better align with the strengths and needs of rural students, schools, and communities.

National education ,Economic growth ,Political science - Abstract
Education gives us knowledge of the world around us. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It is the most important element in the evolution of the nation. Without education, one will not explore new ideas. It means one will not able to develop the world because without ideas there is no creativity and without creativity, there is no development of the nation. An educated person is aware of his personal as well as social responsibilities. Proper education teaches a person to think beyond his personal interests and also provides him the ability to give something back to the society. The Ministry of Human Resource Development formed a Committee chaired by Dr. K. Kasturirangan for preparing the National Education Policy. The Committee was constituted in June 2017. The Committee submitted its report on May 31, 2019. The aim of the policy is to prepare the children of India with 21st century skills. The policy is founded on the three pillars of Research, Innovation, and Quality, with the objective of developing India into a knowledge super power.

The article deals with the role of the Old Ukrainian (Ruthenian) language in the educational process in Ukraine in the 1st half of the 17th century. It is based on the works by the prominent polemicist, scholar, and religious actor Cassian Sakovych. The study is based on his works “Desiderosus” and “Perspektiwa”, which reflected the author’s approaches to the stated problem in different periods of his life. The relevance of the theme lies in its insufficient study, as well as in the special role of the development of education and language in nation-building.Relying on the analysis of these works, it is concluded that already in the mid-1620s Cassian Sakovich believed that an effective system of national education could be built primarily on the basis of the positive experience of the Roman Catholic Church. He defended this idea almost to the end of his life. In the early 1640s, Cassian Sakovych supplemented his views on education with a public statement in “Perspektiwa” about the priority of the vernacular (Ruthenian) language in the educational process of domestic schools (“Let Ruthenia teach Ruthenians in Ruthenian”). Such a position probably resulted from reconsideration of the 1620s’ experience, when he emphasized the role of the vernacular (Ruthenian) language in the religious life of Ukrainians. It was concluded that Cassian Sakovych was the first Ukrainian nationalist of the Lithuanian-Polish era to raise the issue of the role of the vernacular in the cultural life of Ukrainians in his public debate.Priorities in the educational process give us the opportunity to imagine how exactly Cassian Sakovych saw representatives of the new generation of educated Ukrainians in the early 1640s. In his view, those were people who combined achievements of three cultures – their own national (Ukrainian), Polish, and Greek.

The relevance of the Education Act 1996 as it moves parallel with the effort in upholding the Malay language as a language of knowledge was debated the propriety of the government’s attempt to put the position of the national language to be appointed as the language of instruction in the education sector. In line with the objective of empowering the national language in order to build a nation-state, the enactment of laws related to education affairs has been introduced to strengthen teaching and learning in the school system, thus producing self-sincerity and determination of the younger generation to cultivate their mother tongue. This qualitative approach focuses on content analysis methods in which secondary data were worked from the research results of a collection of deeds, selected scientific books, selection of journals, relevant printed materials, and digital information that were significant to the essence of the debate in this paper. Based on an inaugural study, the selection of issues highlighted the debate surrounding the main points that were related to the implementation of the Malay language as the main medium through the school system and higher education institutions in the country’s education sector. In this context, the connectivity of the Education Act 1996 is seen as implementation and compliance with the law, thus certifying the legality of the Malay language as the language of science. The direction of this study should be exploratory in nature to unravel the interpretation of postmodern society in relation to the commitment of citizens to support the mother tongue. It is not only based on mastering speech skills in everyday life, but also striving towards driving visibility and excellence to uphold the Malay language as a language of science at the professional level in the world.

ABSTRACT The Brazilian population over the age of 60 years has grown every day. However, the inclusion of the theme education for aging still constitutes a great challenge, especially in the training of educators. This article proposes to bring some reflections on the challenges of implementing an education for aging in basic education based on Law No. 10.741/2003, which provides for the statute of the elderly. The research methodology is bibliographic and infographic based on Brazilian legislation that deals with this theme in the national policy on the elderly, on the statute of the elderly and on educational legislation, specifically, the law of guidelines and bases for national education, nº 9394/96. The aforementioned research shows that one of the factors in the absence of education for aging can be understood, not as the lack of legislation dealing with the issue, as article 22 of the statute of the elderly, Law No. 10.741/2003, already signals for inclusion content aimed at the aging process, respect and appreciation of the elderly, in order to eliminate prejudice about old age, but yes, it is inferred the need for inclusion in the training processes of educators. Keywords: Education, Aging, Legislation.

The existence of schools is one component in supporting the goals of national education, where educational tasks can actually be categorized into "managerial" tasks which are managed by education managers assisted by education personnel in various fields of expertise. This shows that the sustainability of educational institutions cannot be separated from the applied managerial system. The application of management patterns both institutionally and with good resources will lead to an educational institution that is able to keep up with environmental changes.

The pros and cons of the full-day school system in Indonesia have occurred for a long time. However, the pesantren (boarding school), which uses more than a full day school system, is in fact more and more attractive to parents because it can educate their children more thoroughly. It turns out that the Ki Hadjar Dewantara (KHD) education concept also states that the boarding school system is the best for national education. With content analysis, KHD's documents are analyzed in this literature study, especially regarding the concept of education in the boarding school system. KHD tries to protect the nation's assets, namely children, through preserving their own cultural traditions and teaching values that are in accordance with the life of the nation and state through the three centers or three education centers, namely family, school, and community. To realize the success of the three centers of education in one place, KHD gave the idea that the boarding school system is the most ideal to be implemented for the character, intellectual and social manners.

This study aims to determine opinions of preschool teachers working in educational institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in Turkey about non-stop education process. The study was conducted with 12 preschool teachers working in Kartepe and Korfez districts of Kocaeli province in Turkey. Participants of this qualitative study were selected using convenience sampling method. In the study, four questions were asked to the teachers to determine problems and difficulties they experienced in daily 300-minute non-stop education in kindergartens and effects of this practice on their students. In addition, teachers’ suggestions for alternative practices were received. The teachers’ opinions were collected using a semi-structured interview form and analyzed through the descriptive analysis method. The study found that daily 300-minutes non-stop education in kindergartens has negative effects on both teachers and students. The teachers stated that they did not meet their physiological needs, their efficiency decreased, and they were badly affected due to the current practice. The students were observed that they were bored and distracted, and they displayed behavioral problems based on the duration of this education. According to the participants, this practice is incompatible with human rights. They also had the opinion that they were treated differently from teachers in other branches and faced the problem of salary injustice. Assigning an assistant in nursery classes, allowing preschool teachers to have break times, and branch teachers’ inclusion in activities of nursey classes are suggested.

EnglishIn the process of developing a hermetic role of primary school teacher, understanding of the country’s educational system is vital; to ignore the epistemological foundations of being a teacher is similar to forgetting part of the essence and the experiences in each educational community where his presence is active. The research is of documentary cut and revision of secondary sources. Being a fundamental object and driving force is the description of the role of primary education teacher in Colombia according to the current regulations, the role of normal schools, universities through the education faculties in their formation and the importance of their presence in the communities Education in rural and urban areas; According to the dynamics of each context and scenario among other elements of consideration for the object of study. Among the aspects that stand out in the role of the elementary primary school teacher, it is inferred that a conclusive and categorical study of denotative reasoning and comparative studies of the advances and setbacks of this level of education in Colombia is still lacking both in teacher training and in the education given by them to the children. We consider the present study of a broad research, so it is necessary to derive other researches in detail of the role of the teacher of primary education in rural, urban and urban environment among others, promoting in analysis of pedagogical models, pedagogical practices, Decrees of ladder and the directives emanated of the Ministry of National Education.

This research is motivated by the demoralization of most of the students who still behave badly due suboptimal character education. This research describes and analyzes the character values according to the Ministry of National Education which are instilled in students in the process of Arabic learning, and the inhibiting and supporting factors for the application of these character values. The study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. The results showed that the application of character values in the process of Arabic learning is included in the planning, implementation, and assessment. The teacher integrated character education in the process of Arabic learning by using various approaches, methods, and strategies. Character values that are applied in the process of Arabic learning consist of 21 values. Integrating character values in the process of Arabic learning is inseparable from the inhibiting factors and supporting factors which include nurture and nature factors. Thus, Arabic teachers always try to instill character values to students effectively so that students not only understand the subject matter but also gain positive characters. This research suggests follow-up research studies by comparing two or more educational institutions.

198. Llengua i nació en la naixent Tercera República Francesa (1879-1881) com a model inspirador d’Eliézer Ben-Yehudà

- Abstract
The latter is not only according to a bon mot from the end of the 19th century, but also because he spent part of his youth in Paris, including the period from 1879 until 1881, when he left for Israel, which he regarded as his country of birth. He is thought to have arrived in Paris in late 1877 or early 1878, in the immediate aftermath of the crisis of 16 May 1877. It was at that time that the basic laws of the Republic were passed in the Senate, following heated debates at which he was present as a writer for the Hebrew-language newspaper Ḥavaṣelet. His reports on those debates reflect his deep admiration for the French Republic and the national ideals of its republican government. For instance, he depicts Jules Ferry (1832-1893), minister of education, as a national hero opposing republican conspirers, monarchists, the Catholic Church and the Communards. It was between 1879 and 1881 that Jules Ferry proposed the education laws that would become the backbone of the French Republic, based on the principles of progress, laicism, national conscience and a single language, French (despite it being spoken by only half the population in 1879). Given that the first article in which Ben-Yehuda addressed the role of the Hebrew language in an eventual Jewish state was called ‘The Question of Education’ (Šeʾelat Ha-Ḥinuk), his reports on the Senate’s sessions have to be deemed a key document in the history of language policy in Israel.
