The phenomenon of this research is that in the digital era, many people switch to promoting their products to social media, which is one of the causes of the decrease in billboard taxes. This study aims to find out the right strategy in the billboard tax collection in the digital era by the Regional Revenue Agency of DKI Jakarta. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Data sources include primary data, namely data from interviews, and secondary data, namely target data and billboard tax realization from 2016-2020. The results of this study indicate that (1) The billboard tax collection strategy in the digitalization era in the future will lead to billboard data collection, optimization of billboard objects and tax applications such as e-tax (2) the power of billboard taxes in the digital era lies in the development of digital technology and cooperation between the government, the private sector and the community; and (3) obstacles and challenges from billboard taxes in the digitalization era are the number of taxpayers who have not mastered technology and are not obedient in paying their tax obligations. The suggestion in this study is that the Regional Revenue Agency of DKI Jakarta forms a fieldwork team to conduct more thorough data collection, take advantage of technological developments, lead the comprehensive campaign to taxpayers, and provide strict sanctions to taxpayers who do not obey and install illegal billboards and (3) obstacles and challenges from billboard taxes in the digitalization era are the number of taxpayers who have not mastered technology and are not obedient in paying their tax obligations. The Ministry of Social’s Cash Social Assistance Policy is one of the Government’s programs to maintain the purchasing power of people directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the implementation of cash social assistance policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, analyze the factors that hinder the successful implementation of cash social assistance policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, and analyze the factors that support the social assistance policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. Informants in this study were bureaucrats, policy implementers, and the community as beneficiaries. This study found non-compliance with policy implementers in the standard and policy targets by deliberately violating them for certain benefits. Factors inhibiting cash assistance policy implementation include ineffective and inefficient policy output to target intended beneficiaries, lack of recipient’s name in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), inaccurate redistribution of social assistance benefits, and inappropriate use of social assistance funds to purchase non-basic needs. Supporting factors are strict government supervision and evaluation monitoring on the use of social assistance funds that may reduce cash transfer and impair intended beneficiaries’ access to scarce resources in times of contemporary COVID-19 pandemic crisis-related society.

L‑glutaminase (L‑glutamine amidohydrolase EC3.5.1.2) is the key enzyme in enhancing the taste and aroma of oriental fermented foods by increasing their glutamic acid content and as a result imparting a palatable taste. Beef burgers were prepared using different levels of the partially purified L- glutaminase (2.0 to10.0 U/100 g) prepared from Aspergillus oryzae NRRL 32567. Beef burgers treated with 6.0 U/100g and the others treated with monosodium glutamate (5000 ppm) were chemically, sensory and microbiologically evaluated and compared to untreated control during frozen storage at –18 ºC for 3 months. Treatment with L‑glutaminase (6 U/100g) resulted in an increase of 443% in glutamic acid and a reduction of 63% in glutamine contents resulting in an enhanced preferable taste and odor of the prepared beef burgers. Burgers treated with 6.0 U/100g exhibited the best odor, texture, taste and overall quality scores when compared to the untreated control and samples treated with monosodium glutamate (5000 ppm). During the frozen storage of all samples, an expected slight, but significant (p≤0.05), increase in the total mesophilic bacterial count was evident and such increase was quite acceptable since numbers did not exceed the limit of 5.7x103 cfu/g. Similarly, the total psychrotrophs did not exceed 3.7x102 cfu/g.

Abstract Heterogeneous electrochemistry induced by Martian dust activity is an important type of atmosphere‐surface interaction that affects geochemical processes at the Martian surface and in the Martian atmosphere. We have experimentally demonstrated that heterogeneous electrochemistry stimulated by mid‐strength dust events can decompose common chloride salts, which is accompanied by the release of chlorine atoms into the atmosphere and the generation of (per)chlorates (chlorates and perchlorates) and carbonates. In this study, we present quantitative analyses on the above products from 26 heterogeneous electrochemical experiments on chloride salts. Based on these quantifications, our calculation indicates that such atmosphere‐surface interaction during a portion of Amazonian period could accumulate the observed abundance of (per)chlorates, carbonates, and HCl by landed and orbital missions, and thus can be considered as a major driving force of the global chlorine‐cycle on Mars. This study emphasizes the importance of measuring the electrical properties of dust activity on Mars.

COVID-19 is a contagious infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, responsible for more than 5 million deaths worldwide, and has been a significant challenge for healthcare systems worldwide. Characterized by multiple manifestations, the most common symptoms are fever, cough, anosmia, ageusia, and myalgia. However, several organs can be affected in more severe cases, causing encephalitis, myocarditis, respiratory distress, hypercoagulable state, pulmonary embolism, and stroke. Despite efforts to identify appropriate clinical protocols for its management, there are still no fully effective therapies to prevent patient death. The objective of this study was to describe the demographic, clinical, and pharmacotherapeutic management characteristics employed in patients hospitalized for diagnosis of COVID-19, in addition to identifying predictive factors for mortality. This is a single-center, retrospective cohort study carried out in a reference hospital belonging to the Brazilian public health system, in Manaus, from March 2020 to July 2021. Data were obtained from analyzing medical records, physical and electronic forms, medical prescriptions, and antimicrobial use authorization forms. During the study period, 530 patients were included, 51.70% male, with a mean age of 58.74 ± 15.91 years. The overall mortality rate was 23.58%. The variables age, number of comorbidities, admission to the ICU, length of stay, oxygen saturation, serum aspartate transaminase, and use of mechanical ventilation showed a positive correlation with the mortality rate. Regarding pharmacological management, 88.49% of patients used corticosteroids, 86.79% used antimicrobials, 94.15% used anticoagulant therapy, and 3.77% used immunotherapy. Interestingly, two specific classes of antibiotics showed a positive correlation with the mortality rate: penicillins and glycopeptides. After multivariate logistic regression analysis, age, number of comorbidities, need for mechanical ventilation, length of hospital stay, and penicillin or glycopeptide antibiotics use were associated with mortality (AUC = 0.958).

PT Rama Global is a trading company that carries out preliminary restitution under certain conditions. The purpose of this paper is to find out how the preliminary restitution with certain requirements in the context of tax planning is carried out by PT. Rama Global, how are the obstacles faced in making tax refunds, and what efforts are being made to deal with these obstacles. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation, documentation, and triangulation. Based on observations, PT Rama Global is an export company that input tax is greater than the output tax. PT Rama Global chose to restitute the tax with preliminary restitution, but there will be some refunds that cannot be withdrawn, so PT Rama Global confirms the transaction with the counterparty.

Intracranial aneurysms (IAs) are focal dilations of the cerebral arteries that pose a significant risk of rupture, leading to potentially devastating consequences such as subarachnoid hemorrhage. Understanding the hemodynamic factors that contribute to IA rupture risk is critical for improving clinical management and patient outcomes. One important factor that has been studied is the impact of sac centreline length on the hemodynamics of the Anterior Cerebral Artery (ACA), a common location for IAs. This computational study aimed to investigate the relationship between sac centreline length and the hemodynamic parameters of the ACA that are associated with rupture risk. Using patient-specific 3D geometries of the ACA and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, the researchers analyzed the impact of varying sac centreline lengths on parameters such as wall shear stress, pressure and flow patterns within the aneurysm sac and the parent artery. The results of the computational study disclose that the wall shear stress on the wall of an ACA saccular aneurysm is meaningfully high when the size of the sac centerline length is low. However, the mean oscillatory index change in different sac centerline lengths indicates that the growth of sac centerline length increases blood oscillatory in sac section in ACA cases. BACKGROUND: Prebiotics are non-digestible feed ingredients that improve the immune system. OBJECTIVES: The present study was designed to assess the changes caused by the addition of prebiotics to the feed on carcass characteristics and also chemical composition, physical characteristics, color, texture, and fatty acid profile of chicken pectoral muscles containing Eimeria species. METHODS: Forty-one-day-old male Ross 308 broiler chickens were assigned to four treatments, including nega-tive control (NC), positive control (PC), positive medicated with coxidine (COX), and positive medicated with prebiotics (PRE). After 42 days, carcass characteristics of the chickens were recorded, and also physical character-istics, chemical composition, color, texture, and fatty acid analysis of breast meat were determined. RESULTS: Infection with Eimeria species diminished carcass characteristics. PRE had higher final body weight, hot carcass weight, and breast and thigh muscle weights. Drip loss, pH, cooking loss, fat, ash, dry matter, and texture properties of broilers’ breast meat did not show any significant differences among the experimental groups. Dietary supplementation with prebiotics increased the crude protein content of breast meat. Infection with Eimeria species decreased the a-value of breast meat. Dietary supplementation with prebiotics decreased the amount of fatty acids 16:1 and 18:1 and monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) compared to NC. CONCLUSIONS: Dietary supplementation with prebiotics is a promising strategy with the potential to compensate for the negative effects of infection with Eimeria spp. on carcass characteristics, protein content, and color of breast meat of broiler chickens.

Needle graphite electrodes are one of the main parts used in electric arc furnaces. These electrodes have a significant impact on melt quality and product quality, and their consumption is one of the most important parameters of steel production cost in EAF furnaces. Therefore, reducing the consumption of needle graphite electrodes in these furnaces is very important. The main reasons for continuous use of needle graphite electrodes in arc furnaces are oxidation of the sidewalls and sublimation of their tips, and many solutions have been proposed to reduce them. In the present study, the effect of coating consisting of TiO2/SiC/SiO2 elements on the wear rate of the needle graphite electrode in the sublimation state is investigated using EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining- Spark device). For this purpose, the effect of voltage, current, pulse on time and pulse off time on the electrode wear rate are investigated and in this regard, Taguchi design method has been used to reduce the number of experiments. Based on the test results, TiO2/SiC/SiO2 coating reduces the wear rate of the needle graphite electrode due to sublimation.

Herein, epitaxially regrown n+ (In)GaN source/drain layers for radio frequency high electron mobility transistors, addressing material and electrical characterization, are reported. A range of n+ GaN and n+ InGaN layers with indium 4–12 at% and silicon 0–5.1 × 1020 cm−3 are evaluated. The active carrier concentration in n+ InGaN exceeds 2 × 1020 cm−3. The layers exhibit so‐called V‐defects, observed by atomic force microscope and transmission electron microscope (TEM), which are associated with local composition changes. In addition to the high Si doping levels, nitrogen vacancies are also considered to contribute toward their net carrier concentration. Due to its relevance for device processing, selectivity analysis is performed, and the optimal process conditions for selective regrowth are identified. Regrowth under high temperature (800 °C) is found to be conducive to improved selectivity. However, a high thermal budget negatively impacts the overall regrowth process, as reported here for In0.17Al0.83N and Al0.26Ga0.74N barriers: whereas the InAlN barrier suffers from intermixing, the AlGaN barrier demonstrates high‐temperature stability. The impact of intermixing is studied from complementary TEM and DC electrical measurements. A low overall contact resistance of 75 Ω μm is obtained with the regrown n+ InGaN layers. Blood pressure measurement is a key indicator of vascular health and a routine part of medical examinations. Given the ability of photoplethysmography (PPG) signals to provide insights into the microvascular bed and their compatibility with wearable devices, significant research has focused on using PPG signals for blood pressure estimation. This study aimed to identify specific clinical PPG features that vary with different blood pressure levels. Through a literature review of 297 publications, we selected 16 relevant studies and identified key time-dependent PPG features associated with blood pressure prediction. Our analysis highlighted the second derivative of PPG signals, particularly the b / a and d / a ratios, as the most frequently reported and significant predictors of systolic blood pressure. Additionally, features from the velocity and acceleration photoplethysmograms were also notable. In total, 29 features were analyzed, revealing novel temporal domain features that show promise for further research and application in blood pressure estimation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to identify the readiness of the innovative environment in realizing an intelligent city. A descriptive qualitative approach combined data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Primary data were obtained directly in the field through observation and interviews with diverse respondents. Secondary data were obtained from the Kotamobagu Environmental Service and the Kotamobagu PUPR Service. Data analysis was conducted through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study results revealed that five innovative environment indicators were adequately met: the feasibility of water channels, irrigation channels, green space planning, water and air quality, and waste management systems. One indicator, the use of environmentally friendly energy resources, was not met. The study recommends that the Kotamobagu government develop policies or programs to build renewable energy resources to support the intelligent environment and realize Kotamobagu's smart city vision. The current study investigated the integration of the Form-Focused Instruction and Discovery Approach termed Form Focused Discovery Approach (FFDA) for developing English Foreign language university students' writing skills through teaching novel. The study aims to shift from the teacher-centered approach to the student-centered one by discovering the literary text's form and meaning. Therefore, sixty female fourth-year students at King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia were randomly chosen and divided into two groups: an experimental and a control one taught for two months. The experimental group received instructions through the Form-Focused Discovery Approach (FFDA), examining various tasks ranging from exploring, anticipating, questioning, discussing, analyzing, reconstructing, and practicing writing and reflection. In contrast, the control group received instruction through the traditional mode. A pre-post writing test for measuring skills of grammar, word choice, mechanics, organization, coherence, and style was administered. Results showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in overall writing skills. However, for each skill, it is revealed that four primary skills have been significantly enhanced (i.e., grammar, organization, word choice, and mechanics). The other two skills (style and coherence) have been slightly improved but with no significant differences in the post-administration of the experimental group scores. More practice should be given to recognizing the text's unity and style when implementing FFDA to enhance EFL writing skills. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
