Sabe-se que viver em sociedade corresponde à inevitabilidade de conflitos tendo em vista a pluralidade de opiniões, ocorrendo, assim, o surgimento de novas demandas e novos apelos sociais de acordo com as transformações originadas em determinado contexto e momento histórico. Foi, desse modo, que os conflitos deixaram de ser resolvidos unicamente na esfera privada e passaram a ser discutidos pela chamada jurisdição estatal. Todavia, com o passar do tempo, e com a chegada de novas mudanças ocasionadas pela modernidade que afetaram a sociedade, o Estado deixou de ser célere o suficiente quando da prestação da tutela jurisdicional, passando o Poder Judiciário a estar abarrotado de novas contendas a serem resolvidas, na mesma proporção em que as ações já propostas iam sendo finalizadas, dando ensejo à crise do judiciário e, consequentemente, dificultando o acesso à justiça. Entretanto, com a entrada em vigor do Código de Processo Civil de 2015, o legislador buscou a adoção de medidas que objetivassem a resolução de conflitos de forma mais célere e com maiores proveitos para os litigantes, sem que estes ficassem à mercê da morosidade jurisdicional. Nesse panorama, o presente artigo objetiva apresentar uma análise dos métodos alternativos de resolução de conflitos como mecanismo de efetivação do direito de acesso à justiça. Para tanto, destaca-se acerca dos meios não adversariais de resolução de litígios, primeiramente, por meio da indicação das modalidades existentes e suas principais características, e, então, da explanação de como é possível tornar efetivo o acesso à justiça mediante a aplicação de tais métodos.

Unpaid work and gender equality are interrelated in the realm of gender studies. One of them is a gender sociology study regarding the position of housewives in the private sphere to do domestic work and carework as mushou roudou because they are considered to have no commodity value. The position of housewives becomes invisible because they do not get more attention from the community. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the professional value of housewives through the analysis of Drama Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu. The theory used in the analysis is the theory of mushou roudou vs. yuushou roudou to see the actual commodity value of domestic work and carework done by housewives when it is converted into yuusho roudou. The results of the analysis show that the domestic work and carework that housewives do actually have a commodity value like yuushou roudou with the discovery of several methods of calculating the compensation that housewives are entitled to receive.

The Asian values thesis describes the cultural exceptionalism and alternative political development of East Asia. This study used four rounds of Asian Barometer Survey (ABS) datasets (spanning 2001–2016) to empirically examine the effects of Asian values on citizens’ support for democracy in four East Asian societies—mainland China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan—based on the theoretical distinction between the private and political spheres in which Asian values operate. The analysis produced three major findings. First, no remarkable gap exists between the citizens of China and those of other East Asian societies in terms of Asian values in the private sphere. However, Asian values in the political sphere are prevalent in China, while citizens in the other three societies have abandoned them. Second, supporting democracy is not incompatible with accepting the family and social ethics implied by Asian values, whereas Asian values in the political sphere have significantly negative associations with preference for democracy. Third, although most citizens in East Asia support democracy, the strongly positive evaluation of its suitability for local societies observed at the beginning of the twenty-first century has weakened in the region over the last 20 years.
