Spiritual values can be a source of meaning for people, and can also determine their feelings, behavior, and mental health. In China's Buddhist mountains, we collected a total of 400 valid questionnaires from Mount Putuo and Mount Jiuhua, and identified spiritual values as transcendence, general connectedness, inner balance, positive life direction, and special religious feelings. We also explored the impact of these spiritual values on tourists' psychological wellbeing according to the PERMA model (positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and achievement). The results revealed that the more easily attained spiritual values (general connectedness, positive life direction, and special religious feelings) had a greater influence on psychological wellbeing than the less easily-attained spiritual values (transcendence and inner balance). Positive emotion and meaning, as components of psychological wellbeing, were strongly influenced by the four spiritual values, whereas engagement, accomplishment, and relationships were influenced by fewer spiritual values. The research contributes to the existing knowledge on spiritual values by analyzing their dimensions and relationships with tourists' wellbeing from different levels, and also provides empirical suggestions for the sustainable development of religious tourism destinations. The COVID 19 pandemic has challenged the humankind's livelihood, physical health, mental health, employment, and economy. Lockdowns, quarantines, online teaching, and learning have become new normal. Negativities have been spread across the globe and society by the pandemic. The negative effects caused a confused mindset, fear, anxiety, stress, and other psychological complications amongst the people especially among the Health Care Workers (HCWs), children, elderly people, and Frontline Workers (FLWs). This research work examines the levels of Occupational Stress (OS), and psychological well-being (PWB) of HCWs and police personnel during the pandemic and the relationship between OS and PWB. Further, the study analyzed the role of Positive Psychological Capital (PPC) as a mediator and Emotional Quotient (EQ) as a moderator in the relationship between OS and PWB. Positive Psychological Capital (PPC) characteristics of the respondents such as having faith in one's ability, and performance, willingness to succeed or attain the goals framed, ability to bounce back from the hard times, and their optimism about the future have helped them to tackle the stress caused by the pandemic and to maintain a better state of psychological wellbeing in the fight against the pandemic. Due to the advances in internet communications technology (ICT), the use of digital devices, such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones, in the educational setting has become very common among young people. A considerable body of research has shown that there are adverse effects of in-class internet usage, termed "cyberloafing" on students' academic performance, making it a rising concern for scholars. Within this context, the present study examines cyberloafing as a multidimensional construct and studies the mediating effects of psychological wellbeing and social media learning between cyberloafing behaviour and cyberloafing activities of students. Using an online survey, data was collected from 240 undergraduate and graduate students at a private university in India. The data were analyzed using structural equation modelling and mediation analysis. The results indicate that cyberloafing behaviour negatively influences student's psychological wellbeing, whereas psychological wellbeing is positively related to cyberloafing activities. It was also found that, on one hand, cyberloafing behaviour negatively influences social media learning, whereas social media learning did not have any effect on cyberloafing activities in students. This study highlights that it is crucial for educators and course instructors to incorporate appropriate practices and interventions to manage the misuse of the internet through cyberloafing in classrooms. Background: Caregivers play an important role supporting people diagnosed with cancer, yet report significant unmet information and support needs that impact on their psychological wellbeing. Health literacy and social connectedness are key factors that influence wellbeing, yet few studies have examined their relative role in psychological wellbeing of carers. This study investigated relationships between caregiver and care recipient health literacy, social support, and social connectedness on psychological morbidity in a cancer setting. Methods: This cross‐sectional study included 125 caregiver‐cancer care recipient dyads. Participants completed the Health Literacy Survey‐EU‐Q16, Social Connectedness Scale‐Revised, the Medical Outcomes Study–Social Support Survey, and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale‐21 (DASS21). Relationships between factors were examined using hierarchical multiple regression with care recipient factors entered at Step 1 and caregiver factors at Step 2. Results: Most caregivers provided care for their spouse (69.6%); caregivers mean total DASS21 score was 24.38 (SD = 22.48). Mean DASS21 subscale scores for depression, anxiety, stress in caregivers were 4.02 (SD = 4.07), 2.7 (SD = 3.64), and 5.48 (SD = 4.24) respectively, suggesting normal range of depression and stress, and mild anxiety. Care recipients had a diagnosis of breast (46.4%), gastrointestinal (32.8%), lung (13.6%), or genitourinary (7.2%) cancer, and a mean DASS21 score of 31.95 (SD = 20.99). Mean DASS21 subscale scores for depression, anxiety, stress in care recipients were 5.10 (SD = 4.18), 4.26 (SD = 3.65), and 6.62 (SD = 3.99) respectively, suggesting mild depression and anxiety, and normal stress scores. Regression analyses showed that only caregiver factors (age, illness/disability, health literacy and social connectedness) were independent predictors of caregiver psychological morbidity (F [10,114] = 18.07, p < 0.001). Conclusion(s): Only caregiver, and not care recipient, factors were found to influence caregiver psychological morbidity. While both health literacy and social connectedness influenced caregiver psychological morbidity, perceived social connectedness had the strongest influence. Interventions that ensure caregivers have adequate health literacy skills, as well as understand the value of social connection when providing care, and are supported to develop skills to seek support, have the potential to promote optimal psychological wellbeing in cancer caregivers. Background: This study aimed to analyze Italian university students' psychological needs, learning experiences, and wellbeing during the first two waves of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The study was carried out during the first wave of the pandemic, and then during the second. A total of 1230 university students (654 in stage 1 and 576 in stage 2) completed a battery of validated questionnaires exploring students' experiences in distance learning, perceived health risks related to COVID-19, and psychological wellbeing. Results: MANOVA showed a significant main effect of the pandemic stage on students' learning experience and wellbeing. In particular, students were more distracted and concerned about their academic careers during the second phase of the pandemic than in the first. Furthermore, the pandemic stage also significantly affected health risk perceptions and fear of COVID-19, which were higher during the second wave of the pandemic. Female gender and concern for a university career were significant risk factors for high levels of negative affectivity and low levels of positive affectivity during the pandemic. In contrast, adherence to COVID-19 restriction measures and good family support were protective factors. Conclusions: It is essential to promote adequate university psychological services to support university students who have experienced the adverse psychological effects of the pandemic and enhance the resilience factors needed to improve their wellbeing in the post-pandemic period. This paper tests whether changes in spiritual wellbeing were correlated with self-rated changes in mental and physical health after controlling for changes in psychological wellbeing in a sample from the Church of England taken during the third national COVID-19 lockdown in 2021. During the third lockdown in England an online survey, named Covid-19 and Church-21, was delivered through the Qualtrics XM platform from 22 January to 23 July 2021. The responses included 1878 Anglicans living in England. The change in spiritual wellbeing scale was produced using self-reported changes in the frequency of key spiritual practices (prayer and Bible reading), trust in God, the quality of spiritual life, and spiritual health. Changes in mental and physical health were assessed using single self-report items. Changes in psychological wellbeing were assessed using the Index of Balanced Affect Change (TIBACh). After controlling for changes in psychological wellbeing, better change in spiritual wellbeing was positively correlated with better change in both mental and physical health. Negative affect may have mediated the relationship between spiritual wellbeing and both mental and physical health, and positive affect may also have mediated the relationship with mental health. The results suggest changes in spiritual wellbeing, as defined within a Christian religious context, may have had positive effects in promoting better mental and physical health during a sudden crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether pet owners experience higher psychological wellbeing compared with non-pet owners remains contested. Going beyond a comparison of pet vs. non-pet owners, the current study investigated the nature of the psychological link that operates between humans and pets and tested which specific psychological factors, experienced specifically in the human–pet relationship, predict pet owners' psychological wellbeing. The following factors were put to the test: Unconditional support and acceptance, mindfulness, and social connections with fellow humans. Data from a diverse sample of Canadian pet owners (n = 1,220) were analyzed. Mindfulness felt in the presence of one's pet predicted more positive wellbeing on each wellbeing outcome. Perceiving that one's pet encourages social connections with fellow humans and accepts us unconditionally also predicted more positive wellbeing on some of the wellbeing outcomes. In contrast, feeling authentic in one's relationship with a pet predicted lower wellbeing, while perceiving that pets are less accepting of one's negative emotions predicted higher wellbeing. Most of these associations held when accounting for the impact of these psychological factors when they are experienced in the context of human–human relations. These findings confirm the importance of investigating the nature of our psychological links to other animals, namely pets; they also provide nuances regarding the specific benefits associated with pet ownership and how the presence of pets can be beneficial to human wellness. Background and aims: Nowadays, there are contradicting opinions about the benefits and risks of COVID-19 vaccine, which lead to the hesitance among recipients to receive the vaccine. This study aims to evaluate the university student's attitude toward COVID-19 vaccine, preventative measure, and status of their psychological wellbeing. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study among Vietnamese students aged ≥ 18 years to evaluate their willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccine, psychological wellbeing status, and preventive measure compliance. The participants were asked to fill in a questionnaire via Google Form. Descriptive and analytical statistics were performed with p < 0.05 being considered as statistically significant. Results: A total of 2998 randomly selected participants in Vietnam completed the questionnaire with participants' mean age of 20.26 ± 1.84. The mean score for the willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccination was 46.13 ± 19.03 (the highest point was 54). Regarding preventative measures, the mean score of compliance was 7.15 ± 1.98 over a 10 points scale and "being vaccinated or not" did not affect their compliance. 56.94% participants were having normal psychological wellbeing at the time of survey and rest 43.06% reported to have experienced stress, varying from slight to severe level. There might be a trend that those studying medicine or those with higher educational level had higher rate of stress than others. Conclusion: The study showed a positive result of Vietnamese students' willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccine and compliance towards preventive measures. Besides, we also reported that almost half participants had experienced stress during the pandemic. Developing proper interventions to deal with factors contributing to psychological wellbeing and related problems are essential to deal with and overcome the pandemic or post-pandemic struggles. Big data is quickly becoming a new area where administrative work can be improved. Even so, it is still in the early stages of being used in hospitals in countries with less technology. Therefore, there is an inadequate grasp of the evaluation of big data adoption preparedness in the healthcare sector as data-point-determined insights become crucially useful in healthcare institutions in underdeveloped nations. This process, called "digital transformation," has a lot of benefits; for example, it helps healthcare organizations to create more efficient processes, offer different services, give better care, make more money, and cut costs. This paper aims to suggest and assess a conceptual framework that focuses on technological factors and can assist in determining the readiness of healthcare institutions in developing nations to utilize big data. Although the study can offer valuable perspectives on the advantages that can arise from adopting big data in the healthcare sector, it is important to highlight that leveraging big data analytics in healthcare has the potential to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services. This, in turn, can indirectly contribute to sustainability objectives by optimizing the allocation of resources, minimizing waste, and improving patient outcomes. A total of 328 healthcare workers from Malaysia were subjected to experimental testing of the model. The collected data were evaluated using the Smart PLS 3 program and the structural equation model (SEM). The study's findings supported our hypotheses. The results showed that technological factors affected the participants' perception of their readiness for big data, which ultimately influenced their interest in utilizing it. By concentrating on big data preparedness in the healthcare industry and ambition to utilize big data, this research provides an important theoretical contribution. Employees who are "big data ready" would benefit from the study's results, as, through their recognition, said employees are more likely to increase the desire to use big data in Malaysia's healthcare sectors. In doing so, it seeks to help medication students better manage mental health problems.Patients and Methods: The online study was conducted between March 6, 2021 and May 6, 2021. A total of 318 participants from multiple medical schools were involved. The general information questionnaire, simple coping style questionnaire (SCSQ), perceived social support scale (PSSS) and symptom checklist 90 (SCL-90) were used to collect relevant information from the subjects by snowball sampling. An independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient analysis, and intermediary effect analysis were all used to analyze the relevant data and construct the structural equation model.Results: There was a significant difference in SCL-90 between medical students and national college students (1.78± 0.70, P < 0.001), and the positive rate of mental health status was as high as 40.3%. Sleep quality, regular diet, and positive coping style were positively correlated with mental health (P < 0.01), while negative coping styles and total scores of coping style as well as family, friends, and other sources of social support and total scores of social support were negatively correlated with mental health problems (P < 0.01). Positive and negative coping styles have an impact on mental health through the mediating effect of between social support and coping styles, as well as in the direct pathway.Conclusion: The mental health status of medical students was significantly poor. Medical schools should thus pay close attention to the mental health status of students and encourage them to develop healthy living habits, optimize coping styles, and establish stable sources of social support to improve their psychological wellbeing.Keywords: mediating effect, structural equation model, questionnaire investigation, psychological wellbeing

Abstract Background The workplace has been identified as a key determinant of health status. There is evidence of innumerable health problems among employees, particularly healthcare workers. Against this background, a holistic-systemic approach together with a good theoretical framework is required to reflect on this issue, and to support the design of effective interventions to promote the health and wellbeing of the given population. The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention in improving resilience, social capital, psychological wellbeing, and health-promoting lifestyle in healthcare workers, utilizing the Social Cognitive Theory integrated into the PRECEDE-PROCEED model. Methods This randomized controlled trial will be performed on a large sample of the employees working in two healthcare centers in the city of Shiraz, Iran. The study will proceed with the healthcare workers of one city being given the educational intervention and the healthcare workers of the other city serving as a control group. Using a census method, all healthcare workers in the two cities will be informed of the trial and its purpose, and then invitations to join the study will be issued. The minimum sample size required has been calculated as 66 individuals in each healthcare centers. Recruitment to the trial will by systematic random sampling of eligible employees who submit an expression of interest in joining the trial, and subsequently give informed consent. Data will be collected through a self-administered survey instrument at three stages: at baseline, and both immediately and three months after the intervention. The experimental group members should participate in at least eight of the ten weekly educational sessions of the intervention and complete the surveys in the three stages. There is no educational intervention for the control group, and they simply experience some routine programs, and complete the surveys at the same three timepoints. Discussion The findings will provide evidence for the possible effectiveness of a theory-based educational intervention to improve resilience, social capital, psychological wellbeing, and health-promoting lifestyle among healthcare workers. If the educational intervention is found to be effective, then its protocol will be exploited in other organizations to boost resilience. Trial registration IRCT20220509054790N1.

Background: Mental Health Literacy (MHL) arose as a facet of Health Literacy after it was understood that the concept of health went beyond the physiological or the physical aspect. Despite improvements in various health indicators in the last couple of decades, India still significantly contributes to the global burden of disease and mental illnesses. Objective This study aimed to examine the level of Mental Health Literacy in terms of diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and help-seeking behavior for Depression and Schizophrenia among Indian Undergraduate students and to compare the levels of Mental Health Literacy among males and females Methodology: The study used a cross-sectional design with snowball sampling across various educational institutions the participants 324 in number were undergraduate students aged between 18 and 23. All consenting participants were recruited for the study and Google forms consisting of case vignettes and questions that followed them were distributed using snowball sampling. Results Participants were able to diagnose depression but were poor at diagnosing Schizophrenia. Psychological therapy was rated as the most effective treatment for depression and psychological and drug therapy were rated as the most effective treatments for Schizophrenia. Higher prognosis ratings were given to Depression as compared to Schizophrenia. Females were more optimistic about the prognosis of both disorders as compared to males. Conclusion: Overall, participants demonstrated better Mental Health Literacy for depression as compared to schizophrenia, possibly due to the availability of internet resources.

Background: Burnout in medical profession can reduce the work output and affect the clinical decision making. Objectives: To estimate the proportion of medical residents experiencing burnout. Methodology: In this cross-sectional study, 172 medical residents working in the hospitals affiliated with Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore were assessed for presence of burnout. Permission was obtained from the Institutional Ethics Committee before the commencement of the study. Copenhagen Burnout Inventory scale was used to determine the presence of burnout syndrome among the participants. Results: The mean age of the participants was 27.6 years and a high proportion (n=93, 53.8%) of the participants were males. Forty-eight percent (n=83) of the participants in our study had burnout. A high proportion (n=35, 42.2%) of the participants with burnout were from first year of residency. Burnout was observed in the majority of unmarried males. Burnout was also seen to be highest in younger residents, and those who lacked adequate sleep. Conclusion: The proportion of occupational burnout among medical residents in our study was found to be very high. Early identification of the presence of burnout in the healthcare profession and initiating steps to reduce it can help them to provide uncompromised quality care to the patients.

The impact of controlled breathing on cognitive and affective processing has been recognized since ancient times, giving rise to multiple practices aimed at achieving different psychophysical states, mostly related to mental clarity and focus, stress reduction, and relaxation. Previous scientific research explored the effects of forced unilateral nostril breathing (UNB) on brain activity and emotional and cognitive functions. Some evidence concluded that it had a contralateral effect, while other studies presented controversial results, making it difficult to come to an unambiguous interpretation. Also, a few studies specifically addressed wellbeing. In the present study, we invited a pilot sample of 20 participants to take part in an 8-day training program for breathing, and each person was assigned to either a unilateral right nostril (URNB) or left nostril breathing condition (ULNB). Then, each day, we assessed the participants’ wellbeing indices using their moods and mind wandering scales. The results revealed that, after the daily practice, both groups reported improved wellbeing perception. However, the effect was specifically related to the nostril involved. URNB produced more benefits in terms of stress reduction and relaxation, while ULNB significantly and increasingly reduced mind-wandering occurrences over time. Our results suggest that UNB can be effectively used to increase wellbeing in the general population. Additionally, they support the idea that understanding the effects of unilateral breathing on wellbeing and cognition requires a complex interpretive model with multiple brain networks to address bottom-up and top-down processes.

BackgroundPsychological wellbeing is conceptualized as the full engagement and optimal performance in existential challenges of life. Our understanding of psychological wellbeing is important for us humans to survive, adapt, and thrive during the challenges of the 21st century. Hence, the measurement of psychological wellbeing is one cornerstone for the identification and treatment of both mental illness and health promotion. In this context, Ryff operationalized psychological wellbeing as a six-dimensional model of human characteristics: self-acceptance, positive relations with others, environmental mastery, personal growth, autonomy, and purpose in life. Ryff’s Psychological Wellbeing Scale has been developed and translated into different versions. Here, we examine and describe the psychometric properties of the 18-item Swedish version of Ryff’s Psychological Wellbeing Scale using both Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT).MethodsThe data used in the present study was earlier published elsewhere and consists of 768 participants (279 women and 489 men). In addition to the 18-item version of the scale, participants answered the Temporal Satisfaction with Life Scale, the Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule, and the Background and Health Questionnaire. We examined, the 18-item version’s factor structure using different models and its relationship with subjective wellbeing, sociodemographic factors (e.g., education level, gender, age), lifestyle habits (i.e., smoking, frequency of doing exercise, and exercise intensity), and health issues (i.e., pain and sleeping problems). We also analyzed measurement invariance with regard to gender. Moreover, as an addition to the existing literature, we analyzed the properties of the 18 items using Graded Response Model (GRM).ResultsAlthough the original six-factor structure showed a good fit, both CTT and IRT indicated that a five-factor model, without the purpose in life subscale, provided a better fit. The results supported the internal consistency and concurrent validity of the 18-item Swedish version. Moreover, invariance testing showed similar measurement precision by the scale across gender. Finally, we found several items, especially the purpose in life’s item “I live life one day at a time and do not really think about the future,” that might need revision or modification in order to improve measurement.ConclusionA five-factor solution is a valid and reliable measure for the assessment of psychological wellbeing in the general Swedish population. With some modifications, the scale might achieve enough accuracy to measure the more appropriate and correct six-dimensional theoretical framework as detailed by Ryff. Fortunately, Ryff’s original version contains 20 items per subscale and should therefore act as a perfect pool of items in this endeavor.

The ways in which humans can support good welfare for animals in their care is an ongoing subject of debate: some place emphasis on the animals’ physical health; others, on animals’ ability to live “natural lives”; and others on animals’ affective states or psychological wellbeing. Recently, there has been an increase in interest in how an animal’s ability to exercise control over its environment could impact their welfare. In this article, we take the stance that the relevant aspects of the first two concepts of animal welfare (physical health, natural lives) are largely addressed when an animal’s psychological wellbeing is prioritized. Through that lens, we review the current state of the literature regarding the psychology of control, and the intersection between choice, control, and welfare. We clarify terms to support future work, and propose future directions that could lead to a better understanding of the psychological benefits of choice and control and ultimately inform animal care decisions.

Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the Perceptions of Parental Illness Questionnaire for Cancer (PPIQ‐C) among adolescents and young adults (AYAs). Methods: A sample of 372 AYAs (aged 12–24 years) who had a parent diagnosed with cancer completed the PPIQ‐C and the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10). Exploratory factor analyses were conducted to examine the dimensional structure of the PPIQ‐C. Scale reliability was evaluated using Cronbach's alpha (α) and McDonald's omega (ω). Pearson correlation analyses were conducted to assess construct validity by examining correlations between PPIQ‐C subscale scores and K10 total scores. Results: The PPIQ‐C is organised into three sections, each with a separate factor structure for items representing identity, core (emotional representations, coherence, timeline, consequences, and controllability), and cause dimensions of the Common‐Sense Model of Self‐Regulation. Exploratory factor analyses determined the structure of each section: identity items comprised two subscales (12 items), core items comprised 10 subscales (38 items), and cause items comprised three subscales (11 items). Scale reliability was acceptable for all subscales, except the cause subscale chance or luck attributions (α = 0.665). Correlations between PPIQ‐C subscale scores and K10 total scores provided support for construct validity. Conclusions: Preliminary evidence suggests that the PPIQ‐C is a reliable, valid, and useful tool for assessing illness perceptions among AYAs with a parent with cancer. The PPIQ‐C may be a useful addition to both clinical practice and future research, however further evaluation work is needed to confirm its structure and robustness prior to use. Background & Aims: Social networks are now being created as an admission to search, discuss and share information interactive and immediate with others. The purpose of this study was to model the role of emotional resilience and self-resilience in the tendency of addiction to social networks mediated by psychological well-being. The use of social networks has become a modern natural behavior, but the harmful forms of their use have also received much attention in the last two decades. Social networks have now emerged as a platform for searching, discussing and sharing information interactively and instantly with others. Their popularity, especially among young people, has led to a significant increase in research into the analysis of the consequences of their use. Has been in the psychosocial development of users. Social networks have provided various facilities for users, but their uncontrolled, uninformed and excessive use of them creates dangers for users in families. Social networks are a source of attention in personal, academic and professional work. In the context of academia, they can lead to academic procrastination and undermine students' academic performance. One of the psychological characteristics of students that is affected by the use of social networks is emotional resilience. Previous studies have shown that psychological characteristics such as resilience may predict cell phone addiction and social networking. Resilience, as a complex, dynamic and multidimensional phenomenon, can be thought of as a process, capacity or consequence of positive adaptation and continuous professional commitment and growth in the face of challenging conditions. Emotional resilience should be considered as a person's ability to cope with adversity and overcome failure. Emotional resilience requires a high degree of self-awareness, strong self-regulation, and a host of other characteristics. Factors such as stress, burnout, lack of social support and negative thinking are the enemies of emotional resilience. Another variable that can be associated with social media addiction is self-concealment. In the literature on psychology and counseling, selfconcealment is often defined as the tendency to intentionally conceal personal information that one finds disturbing or negative. Self-concealmentis a behavioral tendency in which individuals hide personal information about distress, embarrassment, and negativity from others. One of the most important structures that play a mediating variable in social network addiction is psychological well-being. Psychological well-being is one of the structures studied in positivist psychology. Today, a new perspective is being formed and expanded in healthrelated sciences in general and in psychology in particular, with the aim of focusing on health. It is drawn from individual life to social interactions. In general, according to the above research records, the dispersion and contradiction of research in the field of social media addiction and the lack of studies in Iran, highlights the need for further implementation and research in this field. In addition, the mobile phones of this technological tool, which are especially popular among the younger generation, have led to lifestyle changes, differentiation of social interaction styles, as well as preparing them to limit their lives in the technological world. This in itself highlights the need for such research. Therefore, the present study aim to model the role of emotional resilience and self-concealment in the tendency of addiction to social networks mediated by psychological well-being. Methods: The method of the present study is descriptive and correlational and the method of analysis is structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the present study was all students studying at Mohaghegh Ardabili University. Since the PLS method is not sensitive to the sample size, the required sample size was determined using Barclayo et al.'s (1995) theory for the present study (32). However, in order to achieve more generalizable results and less statistical error in the sample size in the present study, considering the probability of sample loss, 200 people were considered. After removing the distorted data, 120 questionnaires were included in the statistical analysis. Sampling method used Sampling was also available. The questionnaires were designed online and its links were provided to the subjects on social networks (Telegram groups and channels, WhatsApp groups and Instagram pages) so that students who wished to participate in the research could answer the questions. Inclusion criteria were willingness to participate in research and being a student and exit criteria were unwillingness to participate in research. The data collected in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as mean and standard deviation and structural equation modeling using SPSS.25 software and 3.smart pls software. Results: A total of 120 students with a mean age of 28.75 and a standard deviation of 8.71 participated in this study.The results showed that emotional resilience and self-deprecation had a direct and significant effect on social networking addiction, as well as the indirect effect of emotional resilience and self-deprecation with the mediation of psychological well-being (t > 1.96). Conclusion: The results of structural equations showed that emotional resilience has a direct and significant relationship with addiction to social networks. Explaining these results, it can be said that resilience can be generally defined as the ability to adapt to adverse situations in a positive way. Adolescents with lower resilience are more likely to become addicted to social media and in challenging situations instead the use of positive coping strategies tends to lead to negative behaviors such as social media addiction. The results of structural equations showed that self-concealment has a direct and significant relationship with addiction to social networks. Explaining these findings, it can be said that adolescents who have high self-conceit may become addicted to social networks to escape the negative feelings related to selfconcealment. Emotional resilience and self-deprecation can show different functions of social networking in students. Objectives: We explore the process of posttraumatic growth for multicultural individuals after experiences of cumulative multicultural identity-relevant adversity. Method: We conducted an exploratory sequential mixed methods study with two parts. Study 1 utilized Photovoice methodology and individual interviews (N = 27; 13 women, 14 men) with multicultural individuals living in a Midwestern college town. In Study 2, we tested the relationships between themes revealed by our qualitative analysis in Study 1 in a sample of multicultural individuals living across the U.S. (N = 526; 40.1% men, 59.9% women) using a conditional process analysis. Results: Findings from Study 1 indicate that participants appreciated environments that valued diversity, and this helped participants positively frame their cumulative adversities. Participants also described how the struggle with these adversities fostered psychological wellbeing outcomes of personal growth and positive relations with others. Results from Study 2 indicate that appreciation of diversity mediates and positive framing moderates the relationship between discrimination and personal growth, thus supporting and building on the findings in Study 1. Conclusions: Together, these studies highlight the significance of including cumulative adversity in the posttraumatic growth process for multicultural individuals, while identifying appreciation of diversity and positive framing as potential postadversarial growth mechanisms. Public Significance Statement: In addition to having the richness of various cultural values and customs in their lives, multicultural people experience cumulative adversities of discrimination and conflicting cultural expectations. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of practical training of intimate communication skills on love styles, psychological wellbeing, emotional abuse and marital tension in married women. The research method was a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test type with a control group. The socio-statistics of the research included all married women who referred to the health centers of Mahdishahr city in 2019. Among these, 30 people were selected by available sampling method and were randomly divided into two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups. The participants of both groups completed questionnaires of lovemaking styles, psychological well-being, emotional abuse and marital tension in the pre-test and post-test. The practical training of sincere communication skills was carried out in 10 sessions of 90 minutes with the frequency of one session per week on the experimental group. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance. The results showed that the practical training of intimate communication skills reduced emotional abuse and marital tension and improved psychological well-being and love styles in the group that was trained, but no significant difference was observed in the friendly love style. The purpose of the study was to look at how people use social media and how that impacts their social lives. This study, which concentrated on social media users, found that social media has a detrimental impact on social capital, mental health, and family relationships. People who use social media are becoming less dependent on their real relationships and family members and more on the platform. The quantitative study that was conducted to evaluate how social media users acted and how it influenced their mental health, social capital, social isolation, and family relationships was based on the deductive technique and positivist research paradigm. the data acquired from 385 social media users. The results of correlation analysis show that there is a strong correlation between all variables and social media use. BACKGROUND Previous work has linked disruptions in one's social identity to increased levels of depression and suicide among veterans. This study examines the relationship between veteran social identity (as measured by the public and private regard subscales of the Warrior Identity Scale) and mental health and wellbeing among male veterans. PARTICIPANTS AND PROCEDURE Male veterans (N = 67) completed the Warrior Identity Scale as well as various measures of mental health and wellbeing. RESULTS The hypotheses were supported in that more positive views of one's social identity (i.e., more private regard) predicted significantly fewer post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, less depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, stress, and more perceived social support. More public regard, on the other hand, was related to more PTSD symptoms. CONCLUSIONS This research adds to the growing work on the importance of social identity (as measured by public and private regard) in predicting mental health symptomatology among male veterans, which may act as important risk factors in clinical settings. BACKGROUND The pandemic poses a threat to human health and life, and anxiety is the most common psychological problem occurring during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the study was to establish the differences in the fear of COVID-19 infection and the future anxiety experienced by students during the pandemic by gender, field of study, place of study and paid employment, and their relationships to psychological well-being. PARTICIPANTS AND PROCEDURE The study involved 1294 university students aged 18-30. The Future Anxiety Scale and short version of the Psychological General Well-Being Index were used. In addition, students stated whether they were concerned about the possibility of contracting the coronavirus and falling ill with COVID-19. RESULTS One-third of respondents stated that they felt fear of contracting the coronavirus. Women experienced a significantly stronger fear of COVID-19 and future anxiety than men. The observed interaction effects show that female students of medical faculties experienced a higher fear of COVID-19 than women studying fields of study related to physical activity and working students experienced a slightly higher future anxiety. A positive, but weak correlation between fear of COVID-19 and future anxiety was found. Psychological well-being correlated poorly with fear of COVID-19 and moderately with future anxiety. CONCLUSIONS Because future anxiety was stronger in women, medical students, some master's students and working people, preventive measures should be taken to prevent excessive anxiety and to promote mental health in these groups. The aim of this research was to assess and analyze the impact of Cybervictimization on the Self-esteem of Indian Adolescents for which 70 Indian Adolescents who were pursuing their higher education in various high schools and colleges across India were chosen as participants. Background/Aims: Living with obesity and being physically inactive increases the risk of several cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension. This study aimed to evaluate a psychology clinic, which was established in a tier 2 community adult weight management service in a real-world setting. Methods: The psychology clinic was delivered by an assistant psychologist, working jointly with community dieticians, and included approaches informed by acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness. Quantitative data were collected regarding patients' weight, body mass index, and anxiety and depression scores in their first and last session, as well as attendance and drop-out rates. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and a one-sample t-test, with P<0.05 indicating significance. Qualitative feedback was collected by the assistant psychologist. Results: A total of 31 patients were accepted for an initial assessment, of whom 27 were offered follow up and 17 completed the intervention. Patients' average weights and anxiety scores decreased significantly, but their average body masses indices and depression scores saw no significant difference. Qualitative feedback indicated that the clinic helped patients to increase their physical activity levels, improve their wellbeing, reduce emotional eating behaviours and develop strategies to cope with difficult emotions more effectively. Conclusions: Psychological input can add value to weight management services, emphasising the importance of a multidisciplinary team when addressing modifiable cardiovascular risk factors, with a holistic approach to heart health and weight management interventions. This study examined the impact of the post-pandemic period on the psychological wellbeing of students with visual impairment at the higher education level. A mixed methods research design with an explanatory approach was employed, consisting of two phases: quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative phase involved 102 purposively sampled students aged 18 to 32, who completed the Psychological Well-being Scale (PWS-42 items) for data collection. SPSS was used to analyze the quantitative data. In the qualitative phase, 10 students with low psychological well-being were selected for interviews. The findings indicated that 50% of students with visual impairment had a high level of psychological wellbeing, while the remaining 50% reported low to moderate levels. Male students reported higher well-being compared to female students. Among students aged 26-32, higher levels of autonomy, personal growth, and positive relationships were reported compared to those aged 18-25. Employment during Covid-19 was associated with better environmental mastery, while being a victim of the disease was linked to lower environmental mastery and self-acceptance. Common effects of the pandemic on the well-being of students with visual impairment included anxiety, depression, mental stress, isolation, loneliness, restrictions, financial problems, fear of death, technology barriers, and difficulties with online exams. This study investigated leader-member exchange (LMX) and abusive supervision (AbS) as predictors of psychological well-being (PWB) among bankers. Participants were 299 bank employees consisting of hundred and thirty (130) males (40.5%) and one hundred and sixty-nine (169) female (59.5%). Their ages ranged from 26-54years with a mean age of 40.5 and a standard deviation of 8.51. The study adopted correlation design and multiple regression statistics to analyze the data from structured questionnaires administered to 320 bankers selected from randomly selected banks in Awka South Local Government Area. Psychological well-being scale, Leader-member exchange scale, and Abusive supervision scale were used as instruments for data collection. Three hypotheses were tested anchored on psychodynamic theory to explain the relationship among variables under study. The results revealed that the first hypothesis confirmed LMX significantly predicted PWB at R2 = .156 (15.6%), F (16.41) = .001 p<.05. The second hypothesis confirmed that AbS which significantly predicted PWB at R2 = .156 (15.6%), F (16.41) = .001 p<.05. The third hypothesis revealed that LMX and AbS jointly predicted PWB. The study recommends that both private sector and public sector organizations should take proactive organizational measures to reduce the abusive supervision and embark on sensitization workshops to enlighten management on the dangers of the menace. The State Civil Apparatus, or ASN, must operate at peak efficiency. High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) may improve productivity both internally and externally. Aim this research, we examine how psychological well-being (PWB) affects work satisfaction and how it relates to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Additionally, 42 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) DKI Jakarta Provincial Government examine the function of PWB, organizational commitment, and work satisfaction as mediators for the HPWS-OCB interaction with ASN.Purposive sampling was used to choose the sample, and a current government servant with at least a year of service was the requirement. A survey was conducted in June 2023 to obtain the data, with 185 participants receiving 33 questions over Whatsapp. SEM-PLS, the data were evaluated using a structural equation model. As a consequence, PWB and organizational commitment are significantly impacted favorably by HPWS. The favorable HPWS-OCB interaction, which had a favorable but minor direct association, may be completely moderated by PWB. Organizational commitment is significantly enhanced by PWB, which will also lead to an increase in OCB. HPWS significantly impacts job satisfaction via organizational commitment and PWB mediation but is not significantly impacted by HPWS alone. Organizational commitment does not mediate the HPWS-OCB relationship and job satisfaction does not significantly affect OCB. The better government organizations implement HPWS in ASN management, the ASN's OCB will increase and ultimately lead to an increase in excellent service quality and organizational performance. Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted global economies and individual health. This study uses data from the China Family Panel Data (CFPS) in 2018 (before the pandemic) and 2020 (during the pandemic) to a) estimate the relationships between the perceived risk of unemployment and individuals’ mental health, physical health, and health behaviors; and b) explore the variations of these relationships between rural and urban adults in China. Methods: Ordinary linear regression models or Logit models are employed, depending on the nature (continuous vs. discrete) of the dependent variables. Results: We find that the perceived risk of unemployment was statistically and positively associated with the risk of depression, and the association was greater for rural adults than for urban adults. Rural-urban variations were observed in various dimensions. For rural adults, the perceived risk of unemployment was statistically and negatively associated with life satisfaction, the probability of gaining weight and becoming obese, the probability of having adequate sleep, and computer-based screen time. These associations were statistically insignificant for urban adults. On the other hand, the perceived risk of unemployment was statistically and negatively associated with self-rated very-good-to-excellent health condition and health-compromising behaviors (e.g., smoking and drinking) for urban adults; but such associations were statistically insignificant for rural adults. Discussion: These findings suggest that rural and urban adults exhibited dierent psychological and behavioral responses to the unemployment risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. Introduction: The consensus on recovery from alcohol use disorder (AUD) has shifted toward encompassing psychological wellbeing and quality of life dimensions. However, few studies have explored the long-term recovery process and its dimensions, timing, styles, and modes. The aim of this study was to investigate the extent, timing, and process of psychological wellbeing and quality of life recovery in alcohol use disorder (AUD) patients, as well as the relationship with classic dimensions of AUD recovery. Method: A cross-sectional study has been carried out with 348 participants with AUD, in different abstinence periods (1 month-28 years), and 171 control subjects. Participants underwent a psychological evaluation, which included self-informed measures of psychological wellbeing, quality of life, negative emotionality, and coping strategies related to alcohol consumption avoidance. Statistical analysis included linear and non-linear regression models between psychological dimensions and maintenance of abstinence, as well as matching the scores of the sample with AUD to those of controls. Scatter plots were used to explore inflection points. In addition, mean comparison tests were performed between participants with AUD and controls and by gender. Results: In general, according to the regression models, there were pronounced increases in indices of wellbeing and coping strategies (and pronounced decreases in negative emotionality) during the first 5 years of abstinence, followed by less pronounced improvements. The matching of AUD subjects in wellbeing and negative emotionality indices with controls occurs at different times: (a) 1 year or less: physical health; (b) 1-4 years: psychological health; (c) 4-10 years: social relationships, wellbeing, and negative emotionality; and (d) more than 10 years: autonomy and self-acceptance. There are statistically significant differences by gender for the negative emotionality and physical health variables. Conclusion: Recovery from AUD is a long process that involves improvements in wellbeing and quality of life. Four stages can be described in this process, with the most pronounced changes occurring during the first 5 years of abstinence. Background: There is a lack of research on the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) on health-related fitness, physical activity, cognitive health, psychological wellbeing, and concentrations of C-reactive protein (CRP) in healthy individuals. CBD has potential anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects. Methods: This study aimed to investigate the effects of 8 weeks of CBD on the above-mentioned measures in healthy individuals. Forty-eight participants were randomized into two groups receiving either oral capsules of 50 mg of CBD or a calorie-matched placebo daily. Participants completed pre- and post-intervention assessments, including blood draws, body composition, fitness, physical activity, and self-reported surveys. Results: There were no significant differences between groups regarding body composition, aerobic fitness, muscular strength, physical activity, cognitive health, psychological wellbeing, and resting CRP concentrations. However, the placebo group experienced a decline in mean peak power and relative peak power compared to the CBD group. Conclusions: The results suggest that 8 weeks of CBD supplementation may prevent declines in anaerobic fitness over time. Background: Inspecting the first-year students' mental health reveals that most of them cannot adapt emotionally, and they experience mental health problems comprising irrational beliefs, emotional, motivational, communication, and social issues and learning, along with a significant failure in academic performance. Nonetheless, none of the interventions has been based on the lived experience of the students who have the most problems adapting to the university. Aims: The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of the educational program based on the comprehensive model of the lived experience of adjustment (CMLEA) on the academic, psychological and social well-being of maladjusted first-year students. Methods: The present research was conducted with a quasi-experimental design of pre-test, posttest, and follow-up with a control group. The sample consisted of 40 freshmen who scored lower than the average in the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (Baker & Siryk, 1986). The convenience sampling method was used to select the students. Then they were assigned to two experimental and control groups. In the present research, academic well-being (Tuominen-Soini et al., 2012), social well-being (Keyes, 1998), and psychological well-being (Ryff, 1989) scales were used. After the pre-test, the experimental group received 18 one-hour sessions of university adaptation training. After two months, a follow-up study was done. The data were analyzed using mixed analysis of variance method. Results: The results revealed that the intervention program significantly impacted students' academic, psychological and social well-being (P<0.01) so that the scores of the well-being components significantly increased in the post-test stage and remained stable in the follow-up stage. Conclusion: Results from the intervention indicated that the educational program based on the CMLEA with amending students' problems in adapting to the university leads to an increase in their well-being components in the first year. Background and objectives: Older adults in residential aged‐care facilities (RACFs) experience segregation from society and face limited opportunities to meaningfully engage on a social and/or occupational level due to various structural and systemic challenges. An occupational therapy‐coordinated intergenerational live‐in student programme (ILiSP) with allied health students was successfully pioneered across Sydney (Australia) to facilitate ongoing intergenerational contact. We explored how ongoing intergenerational contact influenced meaningful engagement of older adults in RACFs by investigating routinely collected clinical data and exploring stakeholders' perspectives. Research design and methods: We employed a concurrent nested mixed‐methods design. Residents' attendance in weekly organisational activities and students' monthly volunteer hour reports were analysed to produce statistics for demonstrating the changes in residents' activity attendance alongside ongoing intergenerational contact. Qualitative data from discussions directed by the nominal group technique (NGT) with staff, management and students, individual interviews with relatives and residents, and narrative clinical documentation were thematically analysed. Results: The Wilcoxon signed‐rank test indicated that residents' activity attendance increased during intergenerational contact. Qualitative data yielded three main themes—interdependence, meaningful engagement, and kinship—all associated with intergenerational contact as part of established ongoing relationships. The NGT highlighted consensus on on‐site living for maintaining a cohesive and supportive collective. Conclusion: Despite structural and systemic challenges within RACFs that dissuade community integration, ILiSP created opportunities for students to connect/reconnect residents to new/established networks and to support residents to maintain or re‐engage with previous lifestyle preferences. Therefore, ongoing intergenerational contact fostered a cohesive collective in support of the social and occupational needs of residents, which should be capitalised on by policymakers (e.g., the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program) and interested organisations. Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) describes the experience of a pleasant body sensation accompanied by a feeling of well‐being and relaxation in response to specific audiovisual stimuli, such as whispers and personal attention. Previous work suggests a relationship between this experience with the processing of affective and body states; however, no research has explored differences in interoception between people experiencing ASMR and those who do not. We hypothesized that the ASMR experience is based on interoception processing. To test this, we assessed group differences across different dimensions of interoception: Interoceptive sensibility (IS), measured using the multidimensional assessment of interoceptive awareness (MAIA); Interoceptive accuracy score (IAS), measured by calculating performance in a heartbeat counting task (HCT), and the electrophysiological index of interoception, the heartbeat evoked potential (HEP), which was calculated during the HCT and an ASMR tingle reporting task (ASMR‐TRT). Our results showed that IS and IAS, dimensions requiring conscious awareness, showed no differences between groups. However, HEP amplitude was larger in the ASMR group in both tasks. We concluded that the ASMR experience is based on an unconscious interoceptive mechanism, reflected by HEP, where exteroceptive social‐affective stimuli are integrated to represent a body state of positive affective feelings and relaxation, as has been described for affective touch. The relevance of this finding relies on that interoceptive function, body regulation, and emotional/affective experiences are fundamental for well‐being, and the relationship between ASMR and interoception opens the way to future research exploring the causal relationship between them and their potential clinical applications. This is the first study exploring different dimensions of interoception associated with autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR: a pleasant and relaxing body sensation). Our finding showed that ASMR is associated with unconscious interoceptive brain processing, but not with interoceptive awareness. The aim of this article was to investigate the conditions under which the dimensions of work-related wellbeing (i.e., serenity, social harmony, and involvement) can be beneficial for employee proactive behavior (PB). Based on theories of activation and theorization about the influence of wellbeing on performance, we proposed that the contribution of the wellbeing dimensions to PB depends on the type of challenge (i.e., knowledge job demands; KJDs) and level of stimulation (i.e., empowering leadership) that employees experience in their jobs. Data were collected from Canadian employees (N = 602) through a two-wave study. As predicted, findings indicated that KJDs and empowering leadership jointly interacted with serenity and involvement to predict PB. High levels of empowering leadership were found to strengthen the effect of the interactions between serenity and KJDs and between involvement and KJDs, and to intensify the positive relationship between involvement and PB among employees with high KJDs. The current study sought to investigate the association between perceived stigmatization, locus of control, pro-social behavior, and psychological well-being of orphaned teenagers. A correlational research design was used, and a non-probability approach was used to recruit 100 adolescents aged 12 to 18 years from several orphanages. The perceived stigmatization subscale was anticipated to have a substantial association with psychological well-being. The theory also demonstrates a link between the locus of control and psychological well-being, as well as a link between pro-social activity and psychological well-being. To assess stigmatization, the Stigma Scale, the Locus of Control Measure, and the Psychological Wellbeing Scale were employed, respectively. The findings demonstrated a substantial link between perceived stigmatization (positive treatment, overcoming stigma) and psychological well-being. The results also demonstrated that the internal locus of control (Chance) has a highly substantial positive association with psychological well-being. The target group of this study—people with disabilities who work and who are cared for in institutions that offer occupational therapy—is largely absent from the discussions about urban agriculture. When implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, education and work are essential aspects, especially for the self-determination of people with disabilities. However, people with disabilities are currently often prevented from truly participating in society. The main research objective of this study lies on the identification on systemic barriers to inclusion into horticultural working life as well as possible solutions. The aim of this study was to find out how inclusion processes could be facilitated in the field of urban agriculture in Vienna. A pilot project was carried out for this purpose during May and October 2019. A university, three social institutions with seven employees, two horticultural farms with two farm managers and fifteen people with disabilities took part in this pilot project. During the tomato harvest, action research was applied, evaluated and modified. At the same time, the authors tried to contribute to Grounded Theory. One of the results of this study is the suggestion that offers in the field of urban agriculture should go beyond pure cooperation between social institutions and horticultural farms. A social-ecological scenario with agro-ecological inclusion farms is elaborated. It is concluded that the establishment of such farms in terms of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities in Vienna could bring the city closer to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals. Children orphaned by AIDS are more likely to have psychological and emotional problems compared to their counterparts. Poverty resulting from orphanhood is linked to the negative psychological outcomes experienced by AIDS-orphaned adolescents. No studies have investigated the impact of an economic empowerment intervention on child psychological and emotional problems and prosocial behavior. Therefore, we aimed to examine the impact of a family economic empowerment intervention on psychological difficulties and prosocial behavior among AIDS-orphaned adolescents. We analyzed data from a two-arm cluster randomized controlled trial conducted in 10 primary schools in southern Uganda. Schools were randomized to either bolstered usual care (n = 5 schools; 167 participants) or a family-economic empowerment intervention (Suubi-Maka; n = 5 schools; 179 individuals). We used t -test and multi-level mixed effects models to examine the impact of Suubi-Maka on psychological and behavioral outcomes. No differences were observed between intervention and control groups in almost all the outcomes at baseline, 12 months, and 24 months. Simple main effects comparisons of 12 months versus baseline within each condition indicate modest to significant declines in emotional symptoms, hyperactivity, peer relationships (Δs = −1.00 to −2.11, all p <.001), and total difficulties (Δs = −4.85 to −4.89, both p <.001) across both groups. Our analysis found no meaningful difference between intervention and control groups in child psychological difficulties and prosocial behavior postintervention. However, improvements were observed across both control and treatment groups following the intervention. Future studies should investigate the impact of different components of the intervention. Employing a systematic approach, existing literature is scrutinized to elucidate the differential impacts of employment on these key domains. The findings suggest that employment status significantly influences selfesteem, with working women generally exhibiting higher levels. Moreover, self-efficacy tends to be bolstered by workforce participation, contributing to a sense of agency and mastery in various life domains. Mental health outcomes reveal a complex relationship, with employment offering both protective and risk factors depending on individual circumstances and societal contexts. Furthermore, marital adjustment emerges as a critical dimension affected by employment status, with implications for relational dynamics and family functioning. By synthesizing empirical evidence, this review underscores the multifaceted implications of employment for the psychological well-being of women, providing insights for future research and interventions aimed at enhancing women's holistic empowerment and fulfilment.
