Abstract: The best practice standards set out in chapter 2 of the Best Practice guide focus on the various aspects of identifying an active case of TB and aim to address some of the challenges associated with case detection. The importance of developing a good relationship with the patient from the start, when he or she is often most vulnerable, is emphasised. The first standard focuses on the assessment of someone who might have TB and the second gives detailed guidance about the collection of sputum for diagnosis. The standards are aimed at the health care worker, who assesses the patient when he or she presents at a health care facility and therefore needs to be familiar with the signs, symptoms and risk factors associated with TB. Having suspected TB, the health care worker then needs to ensure that the correct tests are ordered and procedures are followed so that the best quality samples possible are sent to the laboratory and all documentation is filled out clearly and correctly. The successful implementation of these standards can be measured by the accurate and prompt reporting of results, the registration of every case detected and the continued attendance of every patient who needs treatment.

Abstract: We report the observation of a new ${D}_{sJ}$ meson produced in ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\overline{D}}^{0}{D}_{sJ}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\overline{D}}^{0}{D}^{0}{K}^{+}$. This state has a mass of $M=2708\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}{9}_{\ensuremath{-}10}^{+11}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^{2}$, a width $\ensuremath{\Gamma}=108\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}{23}_{\ensuremath{-}31}^{+36}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^{2}$ and a ${1}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ spin-parity. The statistical significance of this observation is $8.4\ensuremath{\sigma}$. The results are based on an analysis of $449\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ events collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider.

Abstract: The first two chapters of Best practice for the care of patients with tuberculosis: a guide for low-income countries include an introduction and guidance regarding implementation of best practice. The background to how the guide was developed is significant, as it was developed in collaboration with nurses and other health workers working in the most challenging settings. It therefore provides realistic and practical guidance for best practice where patient loads are large and resources are stretched. Guidance regarding standard setting and clinical audit is an important part of enabling people to recognise the strengths that already exist in their practice and approach those areas that require change in a systematic and practical way. The guide itself consists of a series of standards covering different aspects of patient care, from the moment they seek health care with symptoms to their diagnosis to early stages of treatment, directly observed treatment, the continuation phase and transfer of treatment. There are also standards relating specifically to HIV testing and the care of patients co-infected with tuberculosis and HIV. The standards themselves will appear in full in the subsequent chapters of this series.

Abstract: Using 462fb-1 of e+e- annihilation data recorded by the Belle detector, we report the first observation of the decay Ds1(2536)+→D+π-K+. The ratio of branching fractions B(Ds1(2536)+→D+π-K+)B(Ds1(2536) +→D*+K0) is measured to be (3.27±0.18±0.37)%. We also study the angular distributions in the Ds1(2536)+→D*+KS0 decay and measure the ratio of D- and S-wave amplitudes. The S-wave dominates, with a partial width of ΓS/Γtotal=0.72±0.05±0.01. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: The process e+e-→K+K-J/ψ is observed for the first time via initial-state radiation. The cross section of e+e-→K+K-J/ψ for center-of-mass energies between threshold and 6.0 GeV is measured using 673fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector on and off the Υ(4S) resonance. No significant signal for Y(4260)→K+K-J/ψ is observed, and we determine B(Y(4260)→K+K-J/ψ)Γ(Y(4260)→e+e-)

Abstract: We search for the radiative penguin decays B_{s}{0}--varphigamma and B_{s}{0}--gammagamma in a 23.6 fb{-1} data sample collected at the Upsilon(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e{+}e{-} asymmetric-energy collider. We observe for the first time a radiative penguin decay of the B_{s}{0} meson in the B_{s}{0}--varphigamma mode and we measure B(B_{s}{0}--varphigamma)=(57_{-15}{+18}(stat)-11+12(syst))x10{-6}. No significant B_{s}{0}--gammagamma signal is observed and we set a 90% confidence level upper limit of B(B_{s}{0}--gammagamma)8.7x10{-6}.

Abstract: We report the first observation of e;{+}e;{-}--Upsilon(1S)pi;{+}pi;{-}, Upsilon(2S)pi;{+}pi;{-}, and first evidence for e;{+}e;{-}--Upsilon(3S)pi;{+}pi;{-}, Upsilon(1S)K+K-, near the peak of the Upsilon(5S) resonance at sqrt[s] approximately 10.87 GeV. The results are based on a data sample of 21.7 fb;{-1} collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e;{+}e;{-} collider. Attributing the signals to the Upsilon(5S) resonance, the partial widths Gamma(Upsilon(5S)--Upsilon(1S)pi;{+}pi;{-})=0.59+/-0.04(stat)+/-0.09(syst) MeV and Gamma(Upsilon(5S)--Upsilon(2S)pi;{+}pi;{-})=0.85+/-0.07(stat)+/-0.16(syst) MeV are obtained from the observed cross sections. These values exceed by more than 2 orders of magnitude the previously measured partial widths for dipion transitions between lower Upsilon resonances.

Abstract: We report the first search for CP violating decays of the $\Upsilon(4S)$ using a data sample that contains 535 million $\Upsilon(4S)$ mesons with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+ e^- collider. A partial reconstruction technique is employed to enhance the signal sensitivity. No significant signals were observed. We obtain an upper limit of $4 \times 10^{-7}$ at the 90 % confidence level for the branching fractions of the $CP$ violating modes, $\Upsilon(4S) \to B^0\bar{B}^0 \to J/\psi K^0_S + J/\psi(\eta_c) K^0_S$. Extrapolating the result, we find that an observation with 5$\sigma$ significance is expected with a 30 ab^{-1} data sample, which is within the reach of a future super B factory.

Abstract: We report an observation of the decay B-0 -> D*-tau(+)nu(tau) in a data sample containing 535x10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We find a signal with a significance of 5.2 sigma and measure the branching fraction B(B-0 -> D*-tau(+)nu(tau))=(2.02(-0.37)(+0.40)(stat)+/- 0.37(syst))%. This is the first observation of an exclusive B decay with a b -> c tau nu(tau) transition.

Abstract: The cross section for e{sup +}e{sup -}{yields}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}J/{psi} between 3.8 and 5.5 GeV/c{sup 2} is measured using a 548 fb{sup -1} data sample collected on or near the {upsilon}(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB. A peak near 4.25 GeV/c{sup 2}, corresponding to the so called Y(4260), is observed. In addition, there is another cluster of events at around 4.05 GeV/c{sup 2}. A fit using two interfering Breit-Wigner shapes describes the data better than one that uses only the Y(4260), especially for the lower-mass side of the 4.25 GeV enhancement.

Abstract: A distinct peak is observed in the pi +/- psi' invariant mass distribution near 4.43 GeV in B--K pi +/- psi' decays. A fit using a Breit-Wigner resonance shape yields a peak mass and width of M=4433+/-4(stat)+/-2(syst) MeV and Gamma=45-13+18(stat)-13+30(syst) MeV. The product branching fraction is determined to be B(B 0--K -/+Z+/-(4430)) x B(Z+/-(4430)--pi+/-psi')=(4.1+/-1.0(stat)+/-1.4(syst)) x 10(-5), where Z+/-(4430) is used to denote the observed structure. The statistical significance of the observed peak is 6.5 sigma. These results are obtained from a 605 fb(-1) data sample that contains 657 x 10(6) BB pairs collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+ e- collider.

Abstract: We report a measurement of D0-D(0) mixing parameters in D(0) --> K(s)(0) pi(+) pi(-) decays using a time-dependent Dalitz-plot analysis. We first assume CP conservation and subsequently allow for CP violation. The results are based on 540 fb(-1) of data accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider. Assuming negligible CP violation, we measure the mixing parameters x = (0.80 +/- 0.29(-0.07-0.14)(+0.09+0.10))% and y = (0.33+/-0.24(-0.12-0.08)(+0.08+0.06))%, where the errors are statistical, experimental systematic, and systematic due to the Dalitz decay model, respectively. Allowing for CP violation, we obtain the CP-violating parameters |q / p| = 0.86(-0.29-0.03)(+0.30+0.06) +/- 0.08 and arg(q/p) = (-14(-18-3-4)(+16+5+2)) degrees .

Abstract: The neutral B meson pair produced at the Upsilon(4S) should exhibit a nonlocal correlation of the type discussed by Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen. We measure this correlation using the time-dependent flavor asymmetry of semileptonic B(0) decays, which we compare with predictions from quantum mechanics and two local realistic models. The data are consistent with quantum mechanics, and inconsistent with the other models. Assuming that some B pairs disentangle to produce B(0) and B(0) with definite flavor, we find a decoherent fraction of 0.029 +/ -0.057, consistent with no decoherence.

Abstract: We report the first measurement of CP-violation parameters in B0--rho0gamma decays based on a data sample of 657x10(6)BB pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We obtain the time-dependent and direct CP-violating parameters, Srho0gamma=-0.83+/-0.65(stat)+/-0.18(syst) and Arho0gamma=-0.44+/-0.49(stat)+/-0.14(syst), respectively.

Abstract: We report measurements of branching fractions for B -> K pi and B ->pi pi decays based on a data sample of 449x10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We also measure the ratios of partial widths for B -> K pi decays, namely R-c equivalent to 2 Gamma(B+-> K+pi(0))/Gamma(B+-> K-0 pi(+))=1.08 +/- 0.06 +/- 0.08 and R-n equivalent to Gamma(B-0 -> K+pi(-))/2 Gamma(B-0 -> K-0 pi(0))=1.08 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.08, where the first and the second errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. These ratios are sensitive to enhanced electroweak penguin contributions from new physics; the new measurements are, however, consistent with standard model expectations.

Abstract: We report the first observation of the decay B0→Ds+Λ p with a statistical significance of 6.6σ. We measure B(B0→Ds+Λp)=(2.9±0.7±0.5±0.4) ×10-5, where the first error is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third error comes from the uncertainty in B(Ds+→π+). The data used for this analysis was accumulated at the Υ(4S) resonance, using the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. The integrated luminosity of the data sample is 414fb-1, corresponding to 449×106 BB pairs. © 2007 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report the results of a study of neutral B meson decays to the D^0 pi+ pi- final state, where the D^0 is fully reconstructed. The results are obtained from an event sample containing 388 million BB-bar -meson pairs collected in the Belle experiment at the KEKB e^+e^- collider. The total branching fraction of the three-body decay B(bar{B}^0 -> D^0 pi^+ pi^-) =(8.4+-0.4(stat.)+-0.8(syst.)) 10^{-4} has been measured. The intermediate resonant structure of these three-body decays has been studied. From a Dalitz plot analysis we have obtained the product of the branching fractions for D^{*+}_2 and D^{*+}_0 production: B(bar{B}^0-> D^{*+}_2 pi^-) B(D_2^{*+}-> D^{0}\pi^+)= (2.15+-0.17(stat.)+-0.29(syst.)+-0.12(mod.))10^{-4}, and B(bar{B}^0-> D^{*+}_0 pi^-) B(D_0^{*+}-> D^{0} pi^+)= (0.60+-0.13(stat.)}+-0.15(syst.)+-0.22(mod.))10^{-4}. This is the first observation of the bar{B}^0-> D^{*+}_0 pi^- decay. The bar{B^0} -> D^0 rho^0 and D^0f_2 branching fractions are measured to be: B(bar{B}^0->D^0 rho^0)=(3.19+-0.20(stat.)+-0.24(syst.)+-0.38(mod.)) 10^{-4},and B(bar{B}^0-> D^0 f_2)=(1.20+-0.18(stat.)+-0.21(syst.)+-0.32(mod.)) 10^{-4}.

Abstract: The cross section for e+ e- --pi+ pi- psi(2S) between threshold and sqrt[s]=5.5 GeV is measured using 673 fb(-1) of data on and off the Upsilon(4S) resonance collected with the Belle detector at KEKB. Two resonant structures are observed in the pi+ pi- psi(2S) invariant-mass distribution, one at 4361 +/- 9 +/- 9 MeV/c2 with a width of 74 +/- 15 +/- 10 MeV/c2, and another at 4664 +/- 11 +/- 5 MeV/c2 with a width of 48 +/- 15 +/- 3 MeV/c2, if the mass spectrum is parametrized with the coherent sum of two Breit-Wigner functions. These values do not match those of any of the known charmonium states.

Abstract: We report the observation of a new DsJ meson produced in B+--D0DsJ--D0D0K+. This state has a mass of M=2708+/-9(-10)(+11) MeV/c2, a width Gamma=108+/-23(-31)(+36) MeV/c2 and a 1- spin-parity. The statistical significance of this observation is 8.4 sigma. The results are based on an analysis of 449 x 10(6) BB events collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.

Abstract: The cross section for e(+)e(-)--pi(+)pi(-)J/psi between 3.8 and 5.5 GeV/c(2) is measured using a 548 fb(-1) data sample collected on or near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB. A peak near 4.25 GeV/c(2), corresponding to the so called Y(4260), is observed. In addition, there is another cluster of events at around 4.05 GeV/c(2). A fit using two interfering Breit-Wigner shapes describes the data better than one that uses only the Y(4260), especially for the lower-mass side of the 4.25 GeV enhancement.

Abstract: Several exclusive Bs0 decays are studied using a 1.86fb-1 data sample collected at the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+e- collider. In the Bs0→Ds-π+ decay mode we find 10 Bs0 candidates and measure the corresponding branching fraction. Combining the Bs0→Ds(*)-π+, Bs0→Ds(*)-ρ+, Bs0→J/ψ, and Bs0→J/ψη decay modes, a significant Bs0 signal is observed. The ratio σ(e+e-→Bs*Bs*)/σ(e+e-→Bs(*) Bs(*))=(93-9+7±1)% is obtained at the Υ(5S) energy, indicating that Bs0 meson production proceeds predominantly through the creation of Bs*Bs* pairs. The Bs0 and Bs* meson masses are measured to be M(Bs0)=(5370±1±3)MeV/c2 and M(Bs*)= (5418±1±3)MeV/c2. Upper limits on the Bs0→γγ, Bs0→ γ, Bs0→K+K-, and Bs0→Ds(*)+Ds(*)- branching fractions are also reported. © 2007 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present a search for the rare decays B --h(*)nunu[over ], where h(*) stands for a light meson. A data sample of 535 x 10{6} BB[over ] pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e{+}e{-} collider is used. Signal candidates are required to have an accompanying B meson fully reconstructed in a hadronic mode and signal side particles consistent with a single h(*) meson. No significant signal is observed and we set upper limits on the branching fractions at 90% confidence level. The limits on B{0} --K{*0}nunu[over ] and B{+} --K{+}nunu[over ] decays are more stringent than the previous constraints, while the first searches for B{0} --K{0}nunu[over ], pi{0}nunu[over ], rho{0}nunu[over ], varphinunu[over ] and B{+} --K{*+}nunu[over ], rho{+}nunu[over ] are reported.

We find a signal with a significance of 5.2sigma and measure the branching fraction B(B{0}--D{*-}tau{+}nu{tau})=(2.02{-0.37}{+0.40}(stat)+/-0.37(syst))%. This is the first observation of an exclusive B decay with a b--ctaunu{tau} transition.

Abstract: We report the results of several studies of the {lambda}{sub c}{sup +}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}X final state in continuum e{sup +}e{sup -} annihilation data collected by the Belle detector. An analysis of angular distributions in {lambda}{sub c}(2880){sup +}{yields}{sigma}{sub c}(2455){sup 0,++}{pi}{sup +,-} decays strongly favors a {lambda}{sub c}(2880){sup +} spin assignment of (5/2) over (3/2) or (1/2). We find evidence for {lambda}{sub c}(2880){sup +}{yields}{sigma}{sub c}(2520){sup 0,++}{pi}{sup +,-} decay and measure the ratio of {lambda}{sub c}(2880){sup +} partial widths {gamma}({sigma}{sub c}(2520){pi})/{gamma}({sigma}{sub c}(2455){pi})=0.225{+-}0.062{+-}0.= 025. This value favors the {lambda}{sub c}(2880){sup +} spin-parity assignment of (5/2){sup +} over (5/2){sup -}. We also report the first observation of {lambda}{sub c}(2940){sup +}{yields}{sigma}{sub c}(2455){sup 0,++}{pi}{sup +,-} decay and measure {lambda}{sub c}(2880){sup +} and {lambda}{sub c}(2940){sup +} mass and width parameters. These studies are based on a 553 fb{sup -1} data sample collected at or near the {upsilon}(4S) resonance at the KEKB collider.

Abstract: We report a measurement of D0-D(0) mixing parameters in D(0) --K(s)(0) pi(+) pi(-) decays using a time-dependent Dalitz-plot analysis. We first assume CP conservation and subsequently allow for CP violation. The results are based on 540 fb(-1) of data accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider. Assuming negligible CP violation, we measure the mixing parameters x = (0.80 +/- 0.29(-0.07-0.14)(+0.09+0.10))% and y = (0.33+/-0.24(-0.12-0.08)(+0.08+0.06))%, where the errors are statistical, experimental systematic, and systematic due to the Dalitz decay model, respectively. Allowing for CP violation, we obtain the CP-violating parameters |q / p| = 0.86(-0.29-0.03)(+0.30+0.06) +/- 0.08 and arg(q/p) = (-14(-18-3-4)(+16+5+2)) degrees .

Abstract: We present a measurement of $CP$ asymmetry using a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis of ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ decays based on a $414\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ data sample containing $449\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}B\overline{B}$ pairs. The data was collected on the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. Combining our analysis with information on charged $B$ decay modes, we perform a full Dalitz and isospin analysis and obtain a constraint on the CKM angle ${\ensuremath{\phi}}_{2}$, $68\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}l{\ensuremath{\phi}}_{2}l95\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ as the 68.3% confidence interval for the ${\ensuremath{\phi}}_{2}$ solution consistent with the standard model (SM). A large SM-disfavored region also remains.

Abstract: We report measurements of the branching fraction and CP violation parameters in B(0)-->D+ D- decays. The results are based on a data sample that contains 535 x 10(6) BB pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We obtain [1.97+/-0.20(stat) +/- 0.20(syst)] x 10(-4) for the branching fraction of B0-->D+D-. The measured values of the CP violation parameters are S=-1.13+/-0.37+/-0.09, A=0.91+/-0.23+/-0.06, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. We find evidence of CP violation in B0-->D+D- at the 4.1sigma confidence level. While the value of S is consistent with expectations from other measurements, the value of the parameter A favors large direct CP violation at the 3.2sigma confidence level, in contradiction to standard model expectations.

Abstract: We report measurements of branching fractions and CP asymmetries for B{yields}{eta}K* and B{yields}{eta}{rho} decays. These results are obtained from a 414 fb{sup -1} data sample collected at the {upsilon}(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e{sup +}e{sup -} collider. We measure the following branching fractions: B(B{sup 0}{yields}{eta}K*{sup 0})=(15.2{+-}1.2{+-}1.0)x10{sup -6} and B(B{sup +}{yields}{eta}K*{sup +})=(19.3{sub -1.9}{sup +2.0}{+-}1.5)x10{sup -6}, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. We also find a 2.7{sigma} excess in the B{sup +}{yields}{eta}{rho}{sup +} mode and measure B(B{sup +}{yields}{eta}{rho}{sup +})=(4.1{sub -1.3}{sup +1.4}{+-}0.4)x10{sup -6}

Abstract: We report a new measurement of the time-dependent CP-violating parameters in B0→π+π- decays with 535×106 BB pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider operating at the Υ(4S) resonance. We find 1464±65 B0→π+π- events and measure the CP-violating parameters Sππ=-0.61±0.10(stat)±0. 04(syst) and Aππ=+0.55±0.08(stat)±0.05(syst). We observe large direct CP violation with a significance greater than 5 standard deviations for any Sππ value. Using isospin relations, we measure the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark-mixing matrix angle 2=(97±11)° for the solution consistent with the standard model and exclude the range 11°< 2

Abstract: Using 449 million BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider, we observe clear signals for B^+-> \bar{K}^0 K^+ and B^0-> \bar{K}^0 K^0 decays with 5.3 sigma and 6.0 sigma significance, respectively. We measure the branching fractions Br(B^+-> \bar{K}^0 K^+ = (1.22^{+0.32+0.13}_{-0.28-0.16})x10^{-6} and Br(B^0-> \bar{K}^0 K^0) = (0.87^{+0.25}_{-0.20} +- 0.09)x10^{-6}, and partial-rate asymmetries A_{CP}(B^+-> \bar{K}^0 K^+) = 0.13^{+0.23}_{-0.24}+- 0.02 and A_{CP}(B^0-> \bar{K}^0 K^0) = -0.58^{+0.73}_{-0.66}+- 0.04. From a simultaneous fit we also obtain Br(B^+-> K^0��^+)= (22.8^{+0.8}_{-0.7} +- 1.3)x 10^{-6} and A_{CP}(B^+-> K^0 ��^+) = 0.03 +- 0.03 +- 0.01. The first and second error in the branching fractions and the partial-rate asymmetries are statistical and systematic, respectively. No signal is observed for B^0-> K^+ K^- decays, and for this branching fraction we set an upper limit of 4.1x10^{-7} at the 90% confidence level., 6 pages, 3 figures

Abstract: We report improved measurements of B decays with an {eta} meson in the final state using 492 fb{sup -1} of data collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e{sup +}e{sup -} collider. We observe the decays B{sup {+-}}{yields}{eta}{pi}{sup {+-}} and B{sup {+-}}{yields}{eta}K{sup {+-}} and measure the branching fractions B(B{sup {+-}}{yields}{eta}{pi}{sup {+-}})=(4.2{+-}0.4(stat){+-}0.2(sys))x10{sup -6} and B(B{sup {+-}}{yields}{eta}K{sup {+-}})=(1.9{+-}0.3(stat){sub -0.1}{sup +0.2}(sys))x10{sup -6}. The corresponding CP-violating asymmetries are measured to be -0.23{+-}0.09(stat){+-}0.02(sys) for {eta}{pi}{sup {+-}} and -0.39{+-}0.16(stat){+-}0.03(sys) for {eta}K{sup {+-}}. We also search for B{sup 0}{yields}{eta}K{sup 0} decays and set an upper limit of 1.9x10{sup -6} at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: We study transitions between {upsilon} states with the emission of charged pions using 477 fb{sup -1} of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e{sup +}e{sup -} collider. The measured product branching fraction B({upsilon}(4S){yields}{upsilon}(1S){pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -})xB({upsilon}(1S){yields}{mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -})= =(4.42{+-}0.81(stat){+-}0.56(sys))x10{sup -6}. When the PDG value for B({upsilon}(1S){yields}{mu}{sup +}{mu}{sup -}) is used, this corresponds to B({upsilon}(4S){yields}{upsilon}(1S){pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -})=(1.78{+-}0.33(stat){+-}0.23(sys) = )x10{sup -4} and a partial decay width {gamma}({upsilon}(4S){yields}{upsilon}(1S){pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -})=(3.65{+-}0.67(stat){+-}0.6 = 5(sys)) keV.

Abstract: We observe evidence for D(0)-D(0) mixing by measuring the difference in the apparent lifetime when a D(0) meson decays to the CP eigenstates K(+)K(-) and pi(+)pi(-) and when it decays to the final state K(-)pi(+). We find the relative difference of the lifetimes y(CP) to be [1.31+/-0.32(stat)+/-0.25(syst)]%, 3.2 standard deviations from zero. We also search for a CP asymmetry between D(0) and D(0) decays; no evidence for CP violation is found. These results are based on 540 fb(-1) of data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider.

Abstract: We report the first observation of B(0)-->J/psieta decay. These results are obtained from a data sample that contains 449 x10(6) BB[over] pairs accumulated at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We observe a signal with a significance of 8.1 sigma and obtain a branching fraction of (9.5+/-1.7(stat)+/-0.8(syst)) x 10(-6).
