An asymmetrically structured multilevel inverter (MLI) having reduced device count feature is discussed in this paper. The proposed converter can successfully produce 21 levels in its output voltage waveform. The basic module of the proposed MLI has 10 unidirectional and 2 bidirectional switches along with 4 dc sources. However, the possibility of the extension in the basic structure has also been discussed with the aim to increase the number of levels. The analysis includes the simulation performed for different conditions and the thermal modeling of the circuit, using PLECS software, for finding the power losses. For generating the switching signals, nearest level control (NLC) has been used as the pulse width modulation method. With the help of a laboratory prototype, the experimental implementation of the proposed topology has been done and the various outcomes conform the simulation results. All the simulations and the experimental results have been presented and explained in the work. The harmonic analysis shows that the total harmonic distortion (THD) in the output voltage is 3.5%. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19), outbreak was first reported in December 2019 in the Wuhan, China. COVID-19 managed to spread worldwide and so far more than 9.1 million cases and more than 4.7 lakh death has been reported globally. Children, pregnant women, elderly population, immunocompromised patients, and patients with conditions like asthma, diabetes, etc. are highly vulnerable to COVID infection. Currently, there is no treatment available for COVID-19 infection. Traditional medicinal plants have provided bioactive molecules in the past that are efficiently used during conditions like cancer, malaria, microbial infections, immune-compromised states, etc. AYUSH India has recommended the use of Curcuma longa, Allium sativum, Ocimum tenuiflorum, and Withania somnifera for immune-boosting during SARS-CoV-2 infection. In the present study, we investigated the potential of 63-major bioactive molecules of these plants against SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro) through docking studies and compared the results with known inhibitor 11a. Our results proposed cuscohygrine, γ-Glutamyl-S-allylcysteine, anahygrine, and S-allylcystein as the potent inhibitors against Mpro identified using molecular docking and molecular simulation dynamics. Interestingly, these molecules are from A. sativum, and W. somnifera, which are known for their antimicrobial and immunomodulatory potential. None of the proposed molecules have earlier been reported as antiviral molecules. Our results predict very strong potential of these four-molecules against SARS-CoV-2 Mpro, especially γ-glutamyl-S-allylcysteine, as all four form hydrogen bonding with Glu166 that is a crucial residue for the formation of the biologically active dimeric form of Mpro. This work explores effectiveness of marble dust as a filler in needle‐punch nonwoven jute fiber reinforced polymer composites, prepared through vacuum‐assisted resin transfer molding process. Four different particulate filled composites are fabricated by varying the filler percentage from 0 to 24 wt% at an interval of 8 wt% marble dust under the controlled environment. The mechanical characterizations such as flexural strength, interlaminar shear strength, compressive strength, and impact strength enhanced with the increase in filler wt% in the composite. The improvement rate is observed from 14% to 33% compared to the unfilled composite. However, for tensile strength is concerned with the increase in filler content in the composites, the strength shows declined in order irrespective of filler content. This study also focuses on high‐temperature applications, for that dynamic mechanical analysis is performed in a three‐point bending mode with 1 Hz frequency as a function of temperature. Similarly, in case of fracture toughness of the proposed composites, the fracture toughness increases approximately from ≈22%, 27% and 59% respectively over unfilled composite with the change in filler percentage. Simultaneously, numerical simulation for fracture toughness is also performed and compared with experimental results. The deviation is found in the range from 0% to 4% with R2 value of 0.984. Based upon the outcome of present results, this research work can be subsequently extended for the low‐grade housing applications in one end and at the same time, optimal waste utilization can also be possible to reduce the environmental waste. This research work evaluates the effect of barium sulphate contents on the physical, mechanical, dynamic mechanical, and erosion wear properties of fixed glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites. Composites with 0 to 30 wt% barium sulphate were prepared by vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) technique under controlled pressure condition. The manufactured composites were characterized for physical (density, void content, and hardness), mechanical (tensile, flexural, and inter‐laminar shear strengths), dynamic mechanical, and erosion wear properties including numerical and experimental analysis. Experimental results show that the addition of increased barium sulphate content results in increased density, void content, hardness, interlaminar shear strength, and fracture toughness of the composites, while tensile and flexural properties were found to decrease above 10 wt% barium sulphate content. Erosion results revealed that the maximum wear rate was found between the ranges of 45° to 75° impingement angle, which shows semi‐ductile nature of the composites. Moreover, computational fluid dynamic (CFD simulation by ANSYS fluent) analysis was introduced to calculate the erosive wear rate, erosion scar, and then tracking the particle trajectories in order to validate the numerical results by comparing the obtained experimental results for validation. Finally, the erosion efficiency was calculated as a function of impact velocity of the proposed particulate filled composites and eroded samples were analyzed through scanning electron microscope to observe the wear characteristics of the composites. Biomedical institutions rely on data evaluation and are turning into data factories. Big-data storage centers, supercomputing systems, and increased algorithmic efficiency allow us to analyze the ever-increasing amount of data generated every day in biomedical research centers. In network science, the principal intrinsic problem is how to integrate the data and information from different experiments on genes or proteins. Data curation is an essential process in annotating new functional data to known genes or proteins, undertaken by a biobank curator, which is then reflected in the calculated networks. We provide an example of how protein–protein networks today have space-time limits. The next step is the integration of data and information from different biobanks. Omics data and networks are essential parts of this step but also have flawed protocols and errors. Consider data from patients with cancer: from biopsy procedures to experimental tests, to archiving methods and computational algorithms, these are continuously handled so require critical and continuous "updates" to obtain reproducible, reliable, and correct results. We show, as a second example, how all this distorts studies in cellular hepatocellular carcinoma. It is not unlikely that these flawed data have been polluting biobanks for some time before stringent conditions for the veracity of data were implemented in Big data. Motivation Mapping of chromatin accessibility landscapes in single-cells and the integration with gene expression enables a better understanding of gene regulatory mechanisms defining cell identities and cell-fate determination in development and disease. Generally, raw data generated from single-cell Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin sequencing (scATAC-seq) are deposited in repositories that are generally inaccessible due to lack of in-depth knowledge of computational programming. Results We have developed ShinyArchR.UiO, an R-based shiny app, that facilitates scATAC-seq data accessibility and visualization in a user-friendly, interactive and open-source web interface. ShinyArchR.UiO is an application that can streamline collaborative efforts for interpretation of massive chromatin accessibility datasets and allow for open access data sharing for wider audiences. Gearbox of a conveyor belt at a sinter plant failed prematurely during service. It led to an interruption in the supply of raw materials for sinter making and therefore affected the productivity. Detailed analysis of the failure of the gearbox was carried out. Observation reveals material chip off from teeth portion with multiple beach marks and striations confirming fatigue mode of failure. However, no gross metallurgical abnormality was observed as the material was supplied in quenched and tempered condition with a suitable case depth in teeth without any discernible nonmetallic inclusions. This directed the investigation toward maintenance-related issues, and it came out that the viscosity of the lubricant in use was significantly lower. Also, investigation of earlier ferrography suggested that the lubricant contained dark metal oxides and wear debris which may lead to inefficient lubrication.
