208. Mechanical Behavior of VNS9-Sh TRIP Steel after Tempering.

Abstract

The influence of tempering at temperatures of 300–650°C on the mechanical properties of austenitic–martensitic VNS9-Sh TRIP steel under static tension and fatigue conditions, on its phase composition, and on the residual macrostresses in it is studied. A significant change in the mechanical properties is detected after tempering at 500°C or above. When the tempering temperature increases, the amount of strain-induced martensite decreases, and an the reverse martensite transformation occurs intensely at 600°C. Tempering at above 600°C leads to an increase in the amount of the α phase, which mainly consists of alloyed ferrite. The level of compressive residual stresses decreases from 950 MPa in the initial state to 750 MPa after tempering at 600°C. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The results of development and verification of the calculation model of a dynamic coal dust separator based on the software product ANSYS-Fluent are given. Simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental data obtained on industrial separator., Приведены результаты разработки и верификации расчётной модели динамического сепаратора угольной пыли на основе программного продукта ANSYS-Fluent. Результаты численного моделирования хорошо согласуются с экспериментальными данными, полученными на промышленном образце сепаратора.

Abstract

At an electron accelerator, the particle energy is one of critical parameters in the technological processes, as well as when conducting the radiation tests. The report presents the results of modernization of beam energy-spectrum analyzer on the basis of a 90˚ electromagnet of an industrial Linac LU-10 (10 MeV, 10 kW). A control system on the basis of a multifunction USB device for the analyzer data acquisition and processing has been developed. The results of measuring the energy characteristics of the accelerator beam with the analyzer, as well as using a dosimetric wedge technique are presented. A computer simulation method was used to study the features of the wedge application in case of a beam with wide spectrum. The conditions of on-line electron energy control using a wide-aperture stack monitor are investigated. A comparative analysis of results of the energy determination by the different techniques is carried out. Енергія випромінення є одним з критичних параметрів у радіаційно-технологічних процесах, а також при проведенні випробувань на прискорювачах електронів. У статті викладені результати модернізації аналізатора спектра пучка промислового прискорювача ЛУ-10 (10 МеВ, 10 кВт) на основі 90˚-електромагніта. Для прийому і обробки даних розроблена система контролю з використанням багатофункціонального USB-пристрою. Приведені результати вимірювання енергетичних характеристик пучка прискорювача за допомогою аналізатора, а також дозиметричного клину. Методом комп'ютерного моделювання вивчені особливості застосування клину у тому разі, коли пучок з широким спектром. Досліджені умови on-line контролю енергії електронів з використанням широкоапертурного стек-монітора. Проведено порівняльний аналіз результатів вимірювання енергій, отриманих різними методами. Энергия излучения является одним из критических параметров в радиационно-технологических процессах, а также при проведении радиационных испытаний на ускорителях электронов. В статье изложены результаты модернизации анализатора спектра пучка электронов на основе 90˚-электромагнита промышленного ускорителя ЛУ-10 (10 МэВ, 10 кВт). Для приема и обработки данных разработана система контроля с использованием многофункционального USB-устройства. Приведены результаты измерения энергетических характеристик пучка ускорителя с помощью анализатора, а также дозиметрического клина. Методом компьютерного моделирования изучены особенности применения клина в случае пучка с широким спектром. Исследованы условия on-line мониторинга энергии электронов с использованием широкоаппертурного стек-монитора. Проведен сравнительный анализ результатов измерения энергии, полученных разными методами.

The performance improvement of algorithm of similar pattern detection in time-series is proposed.

212. Altitude profile of aerosols on Mars from measurements of its thermal radiation on limb

Abstract

Measurements of the thermal (range 7 - 13 micrometers) radiation of Mars with the high space resolution (approximately 2 km) were made by the TERMOSKAN experiment of the Phobos mission. Some of the results were published earlier but only the surface radiation was analyzed in detail. However some part of these measurements was made near the limb of the planet. The atmosphere gives an important input here in the planetary thermal radiation. Beyond the limb the atmosphere is the only source. The task of this work is to estimate some characteristics of the atmosphere using brightness profiles of the thermal radiation near the limb. An appropriate model of the temperature profile T(h) is necessary for such an analysis. A set of T(h) models (nominal, maximal and minimal) was defined using various sources including MARSGRAM, Viking-1 lander data, its theoretical considerations and boundary layer models. On the next step the possible input of the atmospheric gaseous emissions (wing of CO2 15 micrometer band) was estimated. It was found that even for the maximal T(h) this input is no more than a few percents of the measured radiation beyond the limb. Consequently the aerosols are responsible for almost all measured emission. The analysis of the observed profile showed that these aerosols have two components: (1) exponential with the scale height about 10 km and (2) some layered structure (two layers with maxima about 23 and 33 km consisted probably of ice).

Abstract

This article presents the results of studies of the influence of leaks in the working chamber of long-stroke ultra-low-speed units on its working process. The leakages of the working chamber are determined by the value of the conditional clearance in the valves and the cylinder-piston seal. The paper confirms the significant influence of the values of conditional clearances on the integral characteristics of ultra-low-speed long-stroke stages of piston compressor units and estimates the share of the influence of leaks through valves and piston seals on the total volume of leaks. Abstract

The phase composition and the mechanical properties of a 0.35-mm-thick strip made of austenitic–martensitic VNS9-Sh (23Kh15N5AM3-Sh) TRIP steel are studied after tempering at 450–900°C. The surface layer in the steel in the initial state contains almost 100% strain-induced martensite. Tempering at a temperature above 450°C is shown to cause the reverse martensitic transformation and a significant decrease in the strength properties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
