Abstract

Exercise-induced fatigue is accumulated when lactic acid cannot be timely eliminated after intensive exercise, resulting in sport injuries. Traditional lactic acid removal methods are limited in timeliness, metabolic burden, and potential toxicity. To solve the thorny problems, in this study, nanomedicine was introduced for lactic acid removal. Magnesium trisilicate was coated on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles. These nanoparticles exhibited a prompt and efficient lactic acid adsorbing behavior. Moreover, they have favorable magnetic properties and good biocompatibility. The results showed that the prepared nanoparticles hold great potential in the removal of lactic acid for preventing exercise-induced fatigue.

211. HIIT Ameliorates Inflammation and Lipid Metabolism by Regulating Macrophage Polarization and Mitochondrial Dynamics in the Liver of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Mice.

Abstract

High-intensity interval training (HIIT), a new type of exercise, can effectively prevent the progression of metabolic diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of HIIT on liver inflammation and metabolic disorders in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) mice induced by a high-fat diet (HFD) combined with streptozotocin (STZ) and to explore the possible mechanisms of macrophage polarization and mitochondrial dynamics. Our results showed that HIIT can increase fatty acid oxidation-related gene (PPARα, CPT1α, and ACOX1) mRNA levels and decrease adipogenesis-related gene (PPARγ) mRNA levels to improve liver metabolism in T2DM mice. The improvement of lipid metabolism disorder may occur through increasing liver mitochondrial biosynthesis-related genes (PGC-1α and TFAM) and restoring mitochondrial dynamics-related gene (MFN2 and DRP1) mRNA levels. HIIT can also reduce the mRNA levels of liver inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-6, and MCP-1) in T2DM mice. The reduction in liver inflammation may occur through reducing the expression of total macrophage marker (F4/80) and M1 macrophage marker (CD86) mRNA and protein and increasing the expression of M2 macrophage marker (CD163, CD206, and Arg1) mRNA and protein in the liver. HIIT can also increase the expression of insulin signaling pathway (IRS1, PI3K, and AKT) mRNA and protein in the liver of T2DM mice, which may be related to the improvements in liver inflammation and lipid metabolism. In conclusion, these results suggested that 8 weeks of HIIT can improve inflammation and lipid metabolism disorders in the liver of type 2 diabetes mellitus mice, macrophage M1/M2 polarization, and mitochondrial dynamics may be involved in this process. Abstract

Magnetoresistance (MR) and Hall resistivity of TbCo2 and DyCo2 with a Co Kagome lattice were investigated. Apart from giant negative magnetoresistance (MR) at TC, plateau-like MR and a topological Hall effect (THE) are observed at a low magnetic field for each compound below respective TC. The plateau-like MR is attributed to a compensation of negative MR with a ferromagnetically ordered structure of Tb atoms by positive MR with a noncoplanar spin structure of the Co Kagome lattice. The THE is attributed to the noncoplanar spin structure of the Co Kagome lattice only. The MR and the Hall resistivity of each compound are reduced dramatically and undergo a reversal of its sign during cooling. The reversal phenomenon at the low temperature can be related to the freezing of spins of Co atoms. The transport in DyCo2 is more sensitive to magnetic fields than that in TbCo2 which is consistent with a stronger 4f–3d interaction. Abstract

Recently, two-dimensional ferromagnetism in the family of Chromium compounds $\rm CrXTe_3 (X=Si, Ge)$ has attracted a broad research interest. Despite the structural similarity in $\rm CrTe_6$ octahedra, the size effect of inserted Ge or Si dimer contributes to significant differences in magnetism. Here, we report a new quaternary van der Waals ferromagnetic material $\rm CrGe_��Si_{1-��}Te_3$ synthesized by flux method. Ge substitution in Si site results in the lattice expansion, further increasing the Curie temperature and reducing the magnetic anisotropy. The critical behavior of $\rm Cr_{0.96}Ge_{0.17}Si_{0.82}Te_3$ has been studied by specific heat as well as magnetization measurements. And the extracted critical exponents are self-consistent and well-obeying the scaling laws, which are closer to the 2D Ising model with interaction decaying as $J(r)\approx r^{-3.44}$.

Abstract

We present a comprehensive study of angular-dependent magnetoresistance (MR) in the layered chiral helimagnet Cr1/3NbS2 (CNS), which realizes a magnetic soliton lattice. It was found that, at temperatures below Curie temperature, CNS showed a negative magnetoresistance related to the emergence of a chiral soliton lattice state when a magnetic field was applied parallel to the ab-plane (H ‖ ab-plane). When the magnetic field was applied parallel to the c-axis (H ‖ c-axis), however, the negative MR disappeared and a positive MR appeared around zero field at low temperatures. Detailed analysis and modeling indicate that the positive MR is due to the weak anti-localization effect arising from the strong spin–orbit coupling of CNS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Parallel test sheet generation (PTSG) is a NP-hard combinational optimization problem, in which test sheet generation algorithm with high quality and efficiency is the core technology. Basic fruit fly optimization algorithm (FOA) has the defects of easily relapsing into local optimal and low convergence precision when solving PTSG problem. In this paper, a novel discrete fruit fly optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the PTSG problem, in which a discrete osphesis searching operator based on the problem-specific knowledge is designed to help the FOA escaping from being trapped in local minima. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, the simulation experiments were conducted using a series of item banks with different scales. The superiority of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by comparing it with the particle swarm optimization algorithm and differential evolution algorithm.
