Multi-camera setups find widespread use across various applications, such as autonomous driving, as they greatly expand sensing capabilities. Despite the fast development of Neural radiance field (NeRF) techniques and their wide applications in both indoor and outdoor scenes, applying NeRF to multi-camera systems remains very challenging. This is primarily due to the inherent under-calibration issues in multi-camera setup, including inconsistent imaging effects stemming from separately calibrated image signal processing units in diverse cameras, and system errors arising from mechanical vibrations during driving that affect relative camera poses. In this paper, we present UC-NeRF, a novel method tailored for novel view synthesis in under-calibrated multi-view camera systems. Firstly, we propose a layer-based color correction to rectify the color inconsistency in different image regions. Second, we propose virtual warping to generate more viewpoint-diverse but color-consistent virtual views for color correction and 3D recovery. Finally, a spatiotemporally constrained pose refinement is designed for more robust and accurate pose calibration in multi-camera systems. Artificial intelligence has made significant progress in the Close World problem, being able to accurately recognize old knowledge through training and classification. However, AI faces significant challenges in the Open World problem, as it involves a new and unknown exploration journey. AI is not inherently proactive in exploration, and its challenge lies in not knowing how to approach and adapt to the unknown world. How do humans acquire knowledge of the unknown world. Humans identify new knowledge through intrinsic cognition. In the process of recognizing new colors, the cognitive cues are different from known color features and involve hue, saturation, brightness, and other characteristics. When AI encounters objects with different features in the new world, it faces another challenge: where are the distinguishing features between influential features of new and old objects? AI often mistakes a new world's brown bear for a known dog because it has not learned the differences in feature distributions between knowledge systems. This is because things in the new and old worlds have different units and dimensions for their features. This paper proposes an open-world model and elemental feature system that focuses on fundamentally recognizing the distribution differences in objective features between the new and old worlds. The quantum tunneling effect of learning ability in the new and old worlds is realized through the tractive force of meta-characteristic. The outstanding performance of the model system in learning new knowledge (using pedestrian re-identification datasets as an example) demonstrates that AI has acquired the ability to recognize the new world with an accuracy of $96.71\%$ at most and has gained the capability to explore new knowledge, similar to humans., Comment: 8 pages,5 pages

Recently, permissioned blockchain has been extensively explored in various fields, such as asset management, supply chain, healthcare, and many others. Many scholars are dedicated to improving its verifiability, scalability, and performance based on sharding techniques, including grouping nodes and handling cross-shard transactions. However, they ignore the node vulnerability problem, i.e., there is no guarantee that nodes will not be maliciously controlled throughout their life cycle. Facing this challenge, we propose RecAGT, a novel identification scheme aimed at reducing communication overhead and identifying potential malicious nodes. First, shard testable codes are designed to encode the original data in case of a leak of confidential data. Second, a new identity proof protocol is presented as evidence against malicious behavior. Finally, adaptive group testing is chosen to identify malicious nodes. Notably, our work focuses on the internal operation within the committee and can thus be applied to any sharding permissioned blockchains. The early afterglow of a Gamma-ray burst (GRB) can provide critical information on the jet and progenitor of the GRB. The extreme brightness of GRB 221009A allows us to probe its early afterglow in unprecedented detail. In this letter, we report comprehensive observation results of the early afterglow of GRB 221009A (from $T_0$+660 s to $T_0$+1860 s, where $T_0$ is the \textit{Insight}-HXMT/HE trigger time) in X/$\gamma$-ray energy band (from 20 keV to 20 MeV) by \textit{Insight}-HXMT/HE, GECAM-C and \textit{Fermi}/GBM. We find that the spectrum of the early afterglow in 20 keV-20 MeV could be well described by a cutoff power-law with an extra power-law which dominates the low and high energy bands respectively. The cutoff power-law $E_{\rm peak}$ is $\sim$ 30 keV and the power-law photon index is $\sim$ 1.8 throughout the early afterglow phase. By fitting the light curves in different energy bands, we find that a significant achromatic break (from keV to TeV) is required at $T_0$ + 1246$^{+27}_{-26}$ s (i.e. 1021 s since the afterglow starting time $T_{\rm AG}$=$T_0$+225 s), providing compelling evidence of a jet break. Interestingly, both the pre-break and post-break decay slopes vary with energy, and these two slopes become closer in the lower energy band, making the break less identifiable. Intriguingly, the spectrum of the early afterglow experienced a slight hardening before the break and a softening after the break. In this paper, we propose a novel quantum classifier utilizing dissipative engineering. Unlike standard quantum circuit models, the classifier consists of a central spin-qubit model. By subjecting the auxiliary qubits to carefully tailored strong dissipations, we establish a one-to-one mapping between classical data and dissipative modes. This mapping enables the encoding of classical data within a decoherence-free subspace, where the central qubit undergoes evolution. The dynamics of the central qubit are governed by an effective Lindblad master equation, resulting in relaxation towards a steady state. We first demonstrate the capability of our model to prepare arbitrary single-qubit states by training the inter-coupling of the system and the external dissipations. By elucidating the underlying classification rule, we subsequently derive a quantum classifier. Leveraging a training set with labeled data, we train the dissipative central spin-qubit system to perform specific classification tasks akin to classical neural networks. Our study illuminates the untapped potential of the dissipative system for efficient and effective classification tasks in the realm of quantum machine learning.

This document presents a summary of the 2023 Terrestrial Very-Long-Baseline Atom Interferometry Workshop hosted by CERN. The workshop brought together experts from around the world to discuss the exciting developments in large-scale atom interferometer (AI) prototypes and their potential for detecting ultralight dark matter and gravitational waves. The primary objective of the workshop was to lay the groundwork for an international TVLBAI proto-collaboration. This collaboration aims to unite researchers from different institutions to strategize and secure funding for terrestrial large-scale AI projects. The ultimate goal is to create a roadmap detailing the design and technology choices for one or more km-scale detectors, which will be operational in the mid-2030s. In this paper, we present a new computational framework using coupled and decoupled approximations for a Cahn-Hilliard-Navier-Stokes model with variable densities and degenerate mobility. In this sense, the coupled approximation is shown to conserve the mass of the fluid, preserve the point-wise bounds of the density and decrease an energy functional. In contrast, the decoupled scheme is presented as a more computationally efficient alternative but the discrete energy-decreasing property can not be assured. Both schemes are based on a finite element approximation for the Navier-Stokes fluid flow with discontinuous pressure and an upwind discontinuous Galerkin scheme for the Cahn-Hilliard part. Finally, several numerical experiments contrasting both approaches are conducted. In this study, we generalize the work of Farhi, Guth and Guven [Nucl. Phys. B 339 (1990) 417] to include a wormhole effect. We study the influence of the wormhole on the tunneling of the false vacuum bubble. The spherically symmetric bubble has two domain walls. The classical dynamics of each domain wall are constrained by two classically forbidden regions. We find that the wormhole has increased the number of instantons and thus can enhance the tunneling rate. We have analytically derived the formula for the bubble tunneling rate, which is consistent with the result obtained by Farhi, Guth and Guven when the wormhole disappears. We show that the tunneling rate increases with the throat radius of the wormhole. Furthermore, we illustrate that the tunneling rate increases with an increases in the mass of the black hole or the surface tension. In the case where a wormhole exists within a bubble and is connected to another universe, we demonstrate that the bubble can enter into another universe through quantum tunneling.

With the rapid development of deep learning, video deraining has experienced significant progress. However, existing video deraining pipelines cannot achieve satisfying performance for scenes with rain layers of complex spatio-temporal distribution. In this paper, we approach video deraining by employing an event camera. As a neuromorphic sensor, the event camera suits scenes of non-uniform motion and dynamic light conditions. We propose an end-to-end learning-based network to unlock the potential of the event camera for video deraining. First, we devise an event-aware motion detection module to adaptively aggregate multi-frame motion contexts using event-aware masks. Second, we design a pyramidal adaptive selection module for reliably separating the background and rain layers by incorporating multi-modal contextualized priors. In addition, we build a real-world dataset consisting of rainy videos and temporally synchronized event streams. We compare our method with extensive state-of-the-art methods on synthetic and self-collected real-world datasets, demonstrating the clear superiority of our method. One of the most pressing threats to computing systems is software vulnerabilities, which can compromise both hardware and software components. Existing methods for vulnerability detection remain suboptimal. Traditional techniques are both time-consuming and labor-intensive, while machine-learning-based approaches often underperform when applied to complex datasets, due to their inability to capture high-dimensional relationships. Previous deep-learning strategies also fall short in capturing sufficient feature information. Although self-attention mechanisms can process information over long distances, they fail to capture structural information. In this paper, we introduce DefectHunter, an innovative model for vulnerability identification that employs the Conformer mechanism. This mechanism fuses self-attention with convolutional networks to capture both local, position-wise features and global, content-based interactions. Furthermore, we optimize the self-attention mechanisms to mitigate the issue of excessive attention heads introducing extraneous noise by adjusting the denominator. We evaluated DefectHunter against ten baseline methods using six industrial and two highly complex datasets. On the QEMU dataset, DefectHunter exhibited a 20.62\% improvement in accuracy over Pongo-70B, and for the CWE-754 dataset, its accuracy was 14.64\% higher. To investigate how DefectHunter comprehends vulnerabilities, we conducted a case study, which revealed that our model effectively understands the mechanisms underlying vulnerabilities.

We study the generalized free energy of the dyonic AdS black hole in an ensemble with varying electric charge $q_E$ and fixed magnetic charge $q_M$. When we adjust the temperature $T$ and the electric potential $\Phi_E$ of the ensemble, the Ricci scalar curvature $R$ and electromagnetic potential $A_u$ usually diverge at the horizon. We regularize them and incorporate the off-shell corrections into the Einstein-Hilbert action. Alternatively, we find that the off-shell corrections can also be obtained by adding a boundary near the horizon to exclude the singularities. Ultimately, we derive the generalized free energy which is consistent with the definition of the thermodynamic relations. Based on the generalized free energy landscape, we can describe the dynamics of state transition as a stochastic process quantified by the Langevin equation. The path integral framework can be formulated to derive the time-dependent trajectory of the order parameter and the time evolution of the transition probability. By comparing the probability with the result of the classical master equation, we attribute the contribution to the probability of one pseudomolecule or antipseudomolecule (the instanton and anti-instanton pair) to the rate of state transition. These results are consistent with the qualitative analysis of the free energy landscape.

Clinically, automated polyp segmentation techniques have the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of medical diagnosis, thereby reducing the risk of colorectal cancer in patients. Unfortunately, existing methods suffer from two significant weaknesses that can impact the accuracy of segmentation. Firstly, features extracted by encoders are not adequately filtered and utilized. Secondly, semantic conflicts and information redundancy caused by feature fusion are not attended to. To overcome these limitations, we propose a novel approach for polyp segmentation, named MLFF-Net, which leverages multi-level feature fusion and attention mechanisms. Specifically, MLFF-Net comprises three modules: Multi-scale Attention Module (MAM), High-level Feature Enhancement Module (HFEM), and Global Attention Module (GAM). Among these, MAM is used to extract multi-scale information and polyp details from the shallow output of the encoder. In HFEM, the deep features of the encoders complement each other by aggregation. Meanwhile, the attention mechanism redistributes the weight of the aggregated features, weakening the conflicting redundant parts and highlighting the information useful to the task. GAM combines features from the encoder and decoder features, as well as computes global dependencies to prevent receptive field locality. Experimental results on five public datasets show that the proposed method not only can segment multiple types of polyps but also has advantages over current state-of-the-art methods in both accuracy and generalization ability.

This paper presents the design, modeling, and experimental validation of CapsuleBot, a compact hybrid aerial-ground vehicle designed for long-term covert reconnaissance. CapsuleBot combines the manoeuvrability of bicopter in the air with the energy efficiency and noise reduction of ground vehicles on the ground. To accomplish this, a structure named actuated-wheel-rotor has been designed, utilizing a sole motor for both the unilateral rotor tilting in the bicopter configuration and the wheel movement in ground mode. CapsuleBot comes equipped with two of these structures, enabling it to attain hybrid aerial-ground propulsion with just four motors. Importantly, the decoupling of motion modes is achieved without the need for additional drivers, enhancing the versatility and robustness of the system. Furthermore, we have designed the full dynamics and control for aerial and ground locomotion based on the bicopter model and the two-wheeled self-balancing vehicle model. The performance of CapsuleBot has been validated through experiments. The effective field theory description of a radiating black hole introduces redundant degrees of freedom that necessitate annihilation of those modes at late stages to conserve entropy. The prevailing view is that such effective process can result in information loss unless the redundant states are annihilated in maximally entangled pairs, resembling quantum teleportation. In this Letter, we demonstrate that this view can be relaxed in a new postselection model. We investigate information recoverability in a radiating black hole through the non-unitary dynamics that projects the randomly-selected modes from a scrambling unitary. We show that the model has the merit of producing the von Neumann entropy of black holes consistent with the island formula calculation and that information in the black hole interior can be decoded from the Hawking radiation without loss after the Page time. Moreover, in this model the Page time gains a new interpretation as the transition point between two channels of information transmission when sufficient amounts of effective modes are annihilated inside the horizon. We present two decoding strategies along with their quantum circuit realizations. The experimental verification of the strategies employs 7-qubit IBM quantum processors, demonstrating the viability of these strategies and the potential for quantum processors to probe the black hole interior., Comment: 5 pages. GRB 221009A is the brightest gamma-ray burst ever detected since the discovery of this kind of energetic explosions. However, an accurate measurement of the prompt emission properties of this burst is very challenging due to its exceptional brightness. With joint observations of \textit{Insight}-HXMT and GECAM-C, we made an unprecedentedly accurate measurement of the emission during the first $\sim$1800 s of GRB 221009A, including its precursor, main emission (ME, which dominates the burst in flux), flaring emission and early afterglow, in the hard X-ray to soft gamma-ray band from $\sim$ 10 keV to $\sim$ 6 MeV. Based on the GECAM-C unsaturated data of the ME, we measure a record-breaking isotropic equivalent energy ($E_{\rm iso}$) of $\bf \sim 1.5 \times 10^{55}$ erg, which is about eight times the total rest-mass energy of the Sun. The early afterglow data require a significant jet break between 650 s and 1100 s, most likely at $\sim950$ s from the afterglow starting time $T_{AG}$, which corresponds to a jet opening angle of $\sim {0.7^\circ} \ (\eta_\gamma n)^{1/8}$, where $n$ is the ambient medium density in units of $\rm cm^{-3}$ and $\eta_\gamma$ is the ratio between $\gamma$-ray energy and afterglow kinetic energy. The beaming-corrected total $\gamma$-ray energy $E_{\gamma}$ is $\sim 1.15 \times10^{51} \ (\eta_\gamma n)^{1/4}$ erg, which is typical for long GRBs. These results suggest that this GRB may have a special central engine, which could launch and collimate a very narrowly beamed jet with an ordinary energy budget, leading to exceptionally luminous gamma-ray radiation per unit solid angle. The gamma-ray detectors (GRDs) of GECAM-C onborad SATech-01 satellite is designed to monitor gamma-ray transients all over the sky from 6 keV to 6 MeV. The energy response matrix is the key to do spectral measurements of bursts, which is usually generated from GEANT4 simulation and partially verified by the ground calibration. In this work, energy response matrix of GECAM-C GRD is cross-calibrated with Fermi/GBM and Swift/BAT using a sample of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) and Soft Gamma-Ray Repeaters (SGRs). The calibration results show there is a good agreement between GECAM-C and other reasonably well calibrated instrument (i.e. Fermi/GBM and Swift/BAT). We also find that different GRD detectors of GECAM-C also show consistency with each other. All these results indicate that GECAM-C GRD can provide reliable spectral measurements., Comment: preliminary version, will be updated soon
