P019 MASW measurements for soil classification in Dinar Turkey Abstract 1 Elastic properties of near-surface materials and their effects on seismic wave propagation are very important in earthquake and civil engineering. Shear-wave velocity is an important parameter for evaluating the dynamic behaviour of soil in the shallow subsurface. The average shear-wave velocity for the top 30 m of soil is referred to as VS 30 were accepted by the Uniform Building Code (UBC) and Eurocode 8 (EC8) codes to classify sites according to type of soil. Surface wave seismic measurements were carried out at 50 locations mostly in Dinar city
