Résumé Cet article propose une étude conjointe des mobilités résidentielles et de la concentration de populations sélectionnées au sein de l’espace régional de Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, en s’interrogeant sur les relations entre le processus de métropolisation régionale et la ségrégation résidentielle. Les analyses, fondées sur les quotients de localisation et les flux dominants des mobilités résidentielles, font apparaître de fortes différences spatiales entre les schémas résidentiels des populations cible. La plus remarquable concerne les cadres et les chômeurs, qui s’évitent, produisant des configurations spatiales ségréguées. Les résultats soulignent également la complexité des configurations produites ainsi que la sensibilité aux particularités locales., Metropolitan process and residential segregation. The migration flows in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region (France) This paper proposes a joint analysis of residential mobility and the concentration of selected target populations in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, France. The link between the emergence of metropolitan areas and residential segregation is examined. The analyses are based on location quotients and dominant flows of residential mobility. They show marked spatial differences across the residential patterns of the target populations. The most remarkable divide concerns managerial and executive workers and the unemployed, who appear to avoid each other, generating segregated spatial configurations. The results also show the complexity of the spatial configurations produced by the target populations, as well as the sensitivity to particular local features.
