The bachelor thesis focuses on microplastics as a frequently discussed topic in the context of environmental hazards, which despite its topicality and popularity is not included in the teaching of Chemistry as a general educational subject. The theoretical part focuses on the size classification, origin, composition, appearance, sources, and the occurrence of microplastics, including their impact on the environment. The first practical part consists of an analysis of the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary education, the Framework Education Programme for Grammar Schools, and selected Schools Educational Programmes with a main focus on microplastics. The second practical part is devoted to the design of learning activities through which pupils are able to actively learn about the topic of microplastics in the context of teaching Chemistry as a general education subject. This active form of familiarisation with the topic should aim at increasing the pupils' interest in learning about this topic and contribute to the awareness of the possible risks involved at the same time. The bachelor thesis deals with the selected collection of chemical calculations by implementing the chemical experiments to teach Chemistry effectively at secondary schools. The beginning of this bachelor thesis is to describe the types of chemical calculations included in the main areas of Chemistry taught at secondary schools. The overview is based on both expected outcomes of the Framework Education Programme for Grammar schools, Secondary Vocational schools of Chemistry and School Curriculum, including textbooks. Overview of chemical calculations has been prepared and includes: basic chemical quantities and calculations, systems of substances and their composition, balancing equations, pH calculations and thermal changes during chemical reactions. We also find a chapter on chemical experiments in the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis. Activation methods in teaching are nowadays often discussed complementary teaching to classical teaching. Within these methods, emphasis is placed on activating the student, ie on encouraging his interest in the implementation of the activity, but at the same time there is an advantageous opportunity for teachers to influence and specify specific goals to meet the requirements of FEP and SEP. One of the aims of the work was to map the issue of activation methods with a focus on project teaching and research-oriented teaching and to compile a selection of topics for activities that use activation methods with a focus on the topic of carbohydrates in the form of research. Another goal of this work was to design a teaching activity using activation methods on the topic of carbohydrates (a topic in organic chemistry, which is relatively more demanding for students, but no less important) and to verify this activity in a pilot. The design of the activation method with aspects of the project teaching "Getting acquainted with carbohydrates" was actually verified in the 9th grade of Vilémov Elementary School in 2021, within the subject Chemistry. This thesis is about the possibilities of including integrated science subjects teaching at czech schools. It presents historical milestones that had an impact on education and the current state of teaching science subjects in the Czech Republic. Because of a declining interest of students in natural sciences, the several newer teaching strategies of proven foreign research are elaborated in the theoretical part of the work. The research of this work is focused on the opinions of a selected sample of teachers, which are related to their idea of the ideal concept of integrated teaching in the implementation of established in Czech schools. Another goal of the work is to reveal the pros and cons of this form of teaching. The research was conducted on a selected sample of teachers which were willing to engage in research voluntarily. The research questions should revealed teachers claims on four categories - strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of integrated teaching, which was included in the second round of assessment. This bachelor's thesis is about discovering motivational factors that drive students to become chemistry teachers. The theoretical part firstly talks about choosing a profession with a science background, it focuses on factors that affect the career decision-making of students and picking a job in a science environment. Further, it presents Czech and foreign research as well as the publication of incentive theme for becoming a (chemistry) teacher. The research part is devoted to gathering and analyzing data that were collected using a FIT-Choice Scale questionnaire. Said questionnaire was firstly translated to the Czech language. The research was attended by 98 students of chemistry teaching from 8 colleges. Results exhibit that amongst the most important factors affecting a decision of studying chemistry teaching is working with kids and adolescent students additionally forming their future. Among others also important factors are the self-acknowledgment of personal teaching skills, the individual interest of the job, the conception of stable employment, effort of contributing the society, and previous experience with both teaching and learning. Integrated science education on lower secondary school is a widely discussed topic and a possible solution for the future in many countries. This type of education is in line with increasing science knowledge and it minimizes repetition of topics during lessons, reducing both the burden on teachers and the pressure on pupils. The bachelor's thesis deals in the theoretical part with a comparison of teaching systems of several selected countries with a focus on teaching science subjects on lower secondary school, especially on the position of chemistry. The practical part is focused on the comparison of these countries according to their results in the international survey TIMSS and PISA, taking into account impact of an integrated or subject-separated approach to science teaching. There was no clear difference in the impact of an integrated or separate approach to science teaching in the results of the participating countries in the international comparative survey TIMSS and PISA. It is only possible to see better motivation of pupils to learn these subjects in the case of an integrated approach, as can be seen from the results in Singapore, the United Kingdom or Turkey.

This thesis deals with the comparison of didactical equipment of Chemistry Textbooks for Basic Schools in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theory of textbooks and their research within it. The next part, which includes comparison of the textbooks, is pursued by the author from the perspective of two methods: the first being The Degree of Didactical Equipment and the second one The Determination of Didactical Criterion. According to the results of this thesis, the Chemistry Textbooks for Basic Schools in the Czech Republic are alike in its didactical equipment. There are similar structural components in each analysed textbook. There were found only small differences between the best didactically equipped textbooks (the textbooks of the publishers Nová škola and Fraus) and those with the lowest outcome (the textbooks of the publisher Taktik), although the time period between publishing the newest and the oldest textbook is more than 25 years. This diploma thesis deals itself with activating teaching methods in chemistry teaching at primary school in the teaching topic - Chemical reactions. It is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical. The Theoretical part of the thesis defines the key terms related to the overall topic, further focuses in detail on selected activating teaching methods, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as criteria for choosing the appropriate method. Diploma more closely focuses on didactic games method in chemistry teaching in elementary schools. Also characterizes topic of educational tools in chemistry teaching in elementary school, and, in the end, closely specifies selected topic of Chemical reaction from FEP EE (Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education) and available, already existing, materials. The thesis focuses on innovation of chemistry education in topic of Plastics and their environmental consequences in primary schools. The content of theoretical part deals with plastics around us, their history, different types and possibilities of recycling. This thesis also contains analysis of valid curricular documents and textbooks which are frequently used in classes of chemistry in primary schools. Practical part deals with proposal of set of activities with project elements including experimental activities that were executed as a part of project day. Evaluation of prepared educational activities was completed using the mind maps created by students while observing the change in number of used terms and relevance in relation to assigned topic. The results of thesis which are collected and documented confirms our assumptions focused on efficiency of project days in primary schools and shows a way how teacher's project could be transformed into activities of individual students by assigning educational tasks. In the thesis, results of a research focused on monitoring strategies used by students during problem solving are presented. It follows previous studies conducted with the use of think- aloud method. Due to limitations of this method, an eye-camera is used. The record of the camera is used not only to analyse student's problem-solving process, but also as a tool eliminating one of the RTA limits - inaccuracies due to forgetting. The strategies were investigated among economics-oriented vocational school students in the first grade. They solved indicator tasks from the Methodical Comments and Tasks for Educational Standards in Lower-Secondary Education. The research sample was selected based on a pre-test composed of the selected tasks. According to the results, the students were divided into four categories, two students of each category were selected for the research. They solved a second set of the tasks. Based on eye-tracking and think-aloud data, their problem- solving processes were mapped and false-positive results were eliminated. The research results show that the students used the most expansive strategies, mainly work with the periodical table. The main topic of this thesis focuses on finding out how teachers in primary and pre- primary education, according to their opinion, approach to incorporating science experiments into teaching, what are the conditions for experiments in teaching and how students react to the experiments. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on analysis of information related to science experiments and their incorporating into curriculum. The practical part of the thesis includes data collection methods by interviewing teachers and by surveying opinion of students on the experiments, and their evaluation. This thesis deals with the aspect of outdoor education of chemistry in the context of the natural science literacy concept. This concept is approximated here in association with the curricula documents for secondary education level and the Contextual model of learning. Based on the description of individual contexts of the aforementioned model, an alternative variant of an excursion to the Prague Waterworks Museum in Podolí is proposed. The practical part focuses on the comparison of the efficiency of the "classic" conception of a museum excursion and the alternative approach mentioned previously. The whole concept adheres to the pedagogical experimental scheme. The comparison is achieved through three testings in two groups. The first, control group, had a standard excursion led by a museum guide. The second, experimental group, had an excursion led in the proposed alternative approach. Based on the first tests - the pretests, the starting knowledge of the pupils is analyzed. The second testing is executed as posttests right after finishing each excursion. The abstract The main aim of the dissertation was to find out the level of knowledge and opinions of secondary technical and especially grammar school students in the field of Chemistry focusing on environmental problems of these days and their solutions. As a follow up of the research and the analysis of the current curriculum in Chemistry in grammar schools there are suggestions for some amendments in this subject. First of all, current trends of the environmental studies in different years of the educational system were monitored and the research results of preparation, realization and evaluation in secondary technical and grammar schools were analysed. Topic: Methods of Activating Students in Education of Chemistry Author: Olga Kesnerová Řádková Abstract This dissertation work aims at teaching methods in the subject of chemistry and it concentrates mainly on methods with quite a high proportion of activation of pupils. The benefits and disadvantages of activating teaching methods, possible criteria for their choice, conditions for their putting into practice and similar, are described. Later, the work focuses on four chosen activating methods, namely brainstorming methods, project method, didactic games and work with a fictional and another type of a text which is applied here into natural science teaching, namely into chemistry teaching. A story with a chemical experiment can serve as an example. The research part contains a case study of putting project teaching methods into practice which includes a record and analysis of the condition and of the problem connected with its implementation, as well as the initiation of the project with the help of brainstorming methods. RNDr. Pavel Beneš, CSc. ABSTRACT: The research presented in this thesis completes the data with the information about so far neglected vocational schools students' attitudes towards chemistry. After the curricular reform, impact put on general education, including chemistry, brings considerable changes in this area. The questionnaire used was focused on three spheres: students' attitudes towards chemistry, didactical facilities used in chemistry education and students' attitudes towards particular chemical topics. The questionnaire was submitted to students (N = 959) at the beginning of the school year after they entered secondary school. That way the results reflect students' attitudes constructed at primary schools. The results show negative students' attitudes. This dissertation thesis is focused on problems of multimedia and e-learning and their use in chemistry education. In the theoretical part the knowledge dealing with problems of motivation, possibilities of connecting computer technics and multimedia into the educational process, requirements putting on authors of electronical materials and their users are summarized. Questions of knowledge testing and didactics tests production are also mentioned. In the practical part the description of the properties, possibilities and instructions of the use of the educational multimedia computer systems "School as a game", "Qualitative analysis" and "Nobel Prizes in chemistry" is carried out. The use of information and communication technologies, including computer graphics, in teaching chemistry is one of the frequent issues of contemporary chemistry didactics. Current publications are mainly focused on displaying structure of chemical compounds and symbolic form of chemical reactions. This thesis offers a more complex view on the computer graphics and other means of information and communication technologies - their possibilities and limits of use in teaching. The goal of the thesis is to provide an overview of selected computer-graphics technologies and to discuss their role during current curricular reform, based on current problems identified by students attending chemistry-teacher training courses and chemistry teachers. The diploma thesis deals with security status of the transmission system within the Czech Republic. The paper reflects upon the character of the transmission system in the context of European critical infrastructure, as well as its position within the system of power supplying. It defines elements of both Czech and European critical infrastructure, and provides résumé of threats that could endanger or even destroy these elements. By employing quantitative risk analysis, as well as other methods, the text is trying to answer the question whether the Czech transmission system is currently dealing with any real threats. It also compares various kinds of approaches to securing of the critical infrastructure with regard to interests of variety of actors, and positions the selected EU member states hold. The whole concept is evaluated from the view of energy security, with an emphasis on network structure whose role in this concept is concerned essential by the thesis, especially insofar as the future is concerned.

Present days mean rapid development of technologies and their use in various spheres of science, research, production etc. This paper shows possibilities of using video technology in teaching during the pedagogical training of future chemistry teachers, with appropriate feedback. Terms reflection and self-reflection of teacher's skills, diagnostics and autodiagnostics of pedagogical activities, monitoring of pedagogical skills etc. represent in fact processes connected with application of feedback principles during the pedagogical training. In practice-oriented parts of teaching preparation, these processes are considered to be substantial to increase the effectiveness. Students' opinions shall also have a significant place in post-inspection procedures. 13. Summary At the end I have found out that all the main and partial goals identified at the beginning of the work have been fulfilled and the stated hypothesis has been confirmed. The results of the educational material analysis show that there is no any satisfactory complex educational program on the market. The questionnaire investigation between teachers and pupils acknowledged the present trend of using computers in education. It was explicitly demonstrated the interest at the both side oť the utilization in education system. The most of teachers appreciate the possibility to edit the Program according to the current needs. The chosen technology DHTML allows any user with the basic computer literacy and at least elementary knowledge of HTML to modify and adjust the Program in compliance with the actual conditions. On the basis of the facts established by enquiry I have created the Interactive Flexible Program "Chemistry of Sulfur" in order to all requirements on the modern didactic instrument specified for self-study. I have verified the created IFp during the study on some secondary schools in the Czech Republic. In his work the author is dealing with the problem of juvenile delinquency. The main interest is focused on the analysis of the factors that can influence this kind of criminality and the author is also concerned with the problems of the statistics that are managed by the ministry of internal affairs and the ministry of justice. The work is divided into four parts. The first part is devoted to the analysis of the theoretical approaches that show enough potential to clarify the problems of the juvenile delinquency. The second part focuses on the analysis of the socio- pathological phenomenon, which can lead to the delinquent behaviour of juveniles. Statistics and the structure of the juvenile delinquency in the Czech Republic are included in the third part. The fourth and at the same time the last part of the work contains the analysis of such factors, whose dysfunction can result in the increase of the juvenile delinquency in society or the distortion of the statistics that have been mentioned above.
