The purpose of this research is to determine the motivation factors of teacher candidates regarding the teaching profession. For this purpose, this study was designed with a cross-sectional scanning model, since the data collection process was carried out in one go. The research was designed with phenomenology, one of the qualitative research designs. The study group consists of 20 teacher candidates studying in various departments of Atatürk University Kazim Karabekir Faculty of Education in the 2021-2022 academic year. The data obtained with the semi-structured interview form were analyzed with the help of content analysis. According to the results of the research, teacher candidates are more positively motivated by internal factors related to the teaching profession. Almost all of the negative motivational factors are exogenous. It is seen that these motivational factors affect the attitudes and perceptions of teacher candidates towards their profession. It can be ensured that competent teachers who are motivated by their work can be trained by increasing the motivational elements that are seen as positive by the novice teachers and by reducing the elements that are seen as negative. In this way, significant gains can be achieved at the point of achieving educational goals.

This study aims to analyse the predictiveness of the emotion socialization behaviours of the mothers of 6-year-old children on the children's attachment levels. The study group of this descriptive research designed with the screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, included 143 pairs of mothers and 60- to 72-month-old normally-developing children attending two kindergartens affiliated with the Istanbul Basaksehir Directorate of National Education during the 2019-2020 academic term. The data collection instruments used in the study were the parent form designed by the authors to collect sociodemographic data from the children and families who participated in the study, the Incomplete Doll Family Story Scale (IDFSS), which was used to determine the children's levels of attachment, and the Coping With Children's Negative Emotions Scale (CCNES). Calculation of descriptive statistics of scores for the Incomplete Doll Family History scale and the Dealing with Children's Negative Emotions scale. The model formed at the end of the multiple linear regression analysis shows that mothers' emotion socialization behaviours accounted for 57% of the variance related to the children's attachment level. The t-test results of the multiple linear regression coefficients revealed that the mothers' emotion socialization behaviours predict children's attachment levels significantly, the problem-focused reactions and minimization reactions sub-scales of emotion socialization behaviours predict children's attachment levels significantly, while the emotion-focused reactions, punitive reactions, distress reactions and expressive reactions sub-scales do not predict children's attachment levels significantly.

The study aimed at exploring the degree of Jordanian universities' organizational agility and its relation to some variables. The correlational descriptive method was applied. The study sample consisted of (369) faculty members working at three public universities representing the three regions of Jordan: (Yarmouk University/The Northern Region), (The Hashemite University/The Central Region), and (Mutah University/The Southern Region). The study results revealed that the degree of organizational agility at Jordanian universities was moderate, and that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree due to sex, experience, and academic rank, but there were statistically significant differences in that degree due to (country of graduation), in favor of the faculty members who graduated from universities in Arab countries, and due to (university), in favor of The Hashemite University faculty members.

This research was designed to examine the effect of guided inquiry-based learning (GIBL) integrated with enterprise education (EE) entrepreneurial competencies (perseverance, creativity, professionalism) on the part of 74 eighth grade Turkish students. A quasi-experimental design was used for conducting this research. The intervention process was carried out during the teaching of the eighth grade "liquid and solid pressure" unit. The current teaching curriculum was applied to the comparison group (CG) students. The GIBL approach integrated with EE was applied to the experimental group (EG) students over a five-week period. The research data were collected using an instrument entitled the "Entrepreneurship Skills Scale". Independent samples t-test, paired sample t-test, and a one-way ANCOVA test were used to analyze the research data. As a result, it was determined that GIBL integrated with EE, had a positive effect on the general entrepreneurial competencies of the students. It was also found that the GIBL integrated with EE had a positive effect in the professionalism sub-dimension of the EG. However, it was found that the GIBL integrated with EE had no effect on the creativity and perseverance sub-dimensions of the EG. In future research, researchers can examine the impact of the GIBL integrated with EE on different entrepreneurial competencies in a science course.

In this study, it was investigated whether fear of happiness and ruminative thinking predict psychological resilience in university students. In addition, the predictive level of fear of happiness and ruminative thinking of psychological resilience subscales was investigated. Finally, it examines whether there is a significant difference between students' fear of happiness, ruminative thought and psychological resilience levels according to gender. The population of the study is the students studying at the faculty of education of a university located in the Mediterranean region of Turkey in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample group consisted of 296 students, 212 (71.6%) girls and 84 (28.4%) boys, aged between 17 and 34 ([x-bar]=21.81), selected by the easily accessible sampling method. For data collection, a personal information form created by the researchers, Fear of Happiness Scale, Ruminative Thought Style Scale and Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults were used. Findings obtained in the study: It was found that fear of happiness and ruminative thinking together negatively predicted resilience at a significant level. Fear of happiness and ruminative thought explain approximately 12% of the variance in students' resilience scores. Regarding the predictive level of fear of happiness and ruminative thinking of the sub-dimensions of psychological resilience; self-perception (19.9% of variance), future perception (10% of variance), social competence (5% of variance), family adjustment (3% of variance), and social resources (3% of variance) are negative significant predictors. Finally, there is a significant difference between students' psychological resilience and self-perception sub-dimensions of psychological resilience according to gender.

In this research, the relationship between fear of happiness among university students and their types of personality was investigated through analyzing various factors, such as relationships, gender, perceived parental attitudes and locations of upbringing. The subjects of study in this research consisted of the students at Balikesir Necatibey Faculty of Education in Balikesir city center in the spring term of the 2020-2021 academic year. The sample of the research included 252 students, selected with the random sampling method from the population, 160 of whom were female (63.5%) and 62 male (36.5%). For the data collection tools, the Big Five 50 Personality Questionnaire, Fear of Happiness Scale, and Personal Information Form were used. The independent samples t-test, correlation, multiple regression analysis and one-way multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were applied in the analysis of the applied data. According to the findings gathered from the research, a negative low level of relationship exists between the students' fear of happiness levels and extraversion and neuroticism, which are specific personality traits. No significant relationship was found between fear of happiness and other traits. It was observed that personality traits predicted the students' fear of happiness levels significantly, explaining 8% of the change in the scores of the fear of happiness. While there was a significant result in favor of females in the dimensions of conscientiousness and agreeableness, a significant result was determined in favor of males in the dimension of neuroticism. Finally, it was noticed that there was no significant difference between the students' fear of happiness and their personality traits in terms of the perceived parental attitude.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the descriptive and evaluative findings of articles conducted in educational contexts on entrepreneurship education in the Web of Science (WoS) database. For this purpose, the bibliometric analysis method was used in this study. This systematic literature review examined 352 scientific articles published from 1991 to 2020 in the WoS database. VOSviewer software was used to visualize the results of the analysis. The descriptive results showed that the most articles, in terms of years, were published in 2017; Matlay was the most productive author, and Lappeenranta University of Technology was the most productive organization; Education + Training was the most productive journal and England was the most productive country. The evaluative results showed that Matlay had the largest co-authorship network; England was the country with the highest co-authorship network and the University of Tasmania and Birmingham City University had the largest co-authorship network. Moreover, Matlay had the highest (citations and total link strength) co-citations of cited authors. On the other hand, Kuratko had the highest (citations and total link strength) co-citations of cited references. Finally, the keywords occurrence networks showed that the biggest node was entrepreneurship education. Based on these results, systematic literature reviews on entrepreneurship education in educational contexts at the national level in different countries could be carried out.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: The volume of public health environmental justice (EJ) research produced by academic institutions increased through 2022. However, the methods used for evaluating EJ in exposure science and epidemiologic studies have not been catalogued. Here, we completed a scoping review of EJ studies published in 19 environmental science and epidemiologic journals from 2018 to 2021 to summarize research types, frameworks, and methods. RECENT FINDINGS: We identified 402 articles that included populations with health disparities as a part of EJ research question and met other inclusion criteria. Most studies (60%) evaluated EJ questions related to socioeconomic status (SES) or race/ethnicity. EJ studies took place in 69 countries, led by the US (n = 246 [61%]). Only 50% of studies explicitly described a theoretical EJ framework in the background, methods, or discussion and just 10% explicitly stated a framework in all three sections. Among exposure studies, the most common area-level exposure was air pollution (40%), whereas chemicals predominated personal exposure studies (35%). Overall, the most common method used for exposure-only EJ analyses was main effect regression modeling (50%); for epidemiologic studies the most common method was effect modification (58%), where an analysis evaluated a health disparity variable as an effect modifier. Based on the results of this scoping review, current methods in public health EJ studies could be bolstered by integrating expertise from other fields (e.g., sociology), conducting community-based participatory research and intervention studies, and using more rigorous, theory-based, and solution-oriented statistical research methods.
