Abstract

To predict the effect of microorganisms breeding in cutting fluid on the corrosion of 2219 aluminum alloy( AA 2219) used in aerospace, the corrosion rate of microorganisms in cutting fluid on 2219 aluminum alloy was analyzed by weight loss method. The adhesion of microorganisms on the surface of 2219 aluminum alloy was observed by inverted fluorescent microscope. The corrosion morphology of products and the corrosion profile after removing corrosion products were observed by scanning electron microscope( SEM) and white light interferometer, respectively. The elements of surface corrosion products were analyzed by energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and the corrosion mechanism was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy( EIS). The results indicate that the microorganisms in the cutting fluid adhere to the surface of 2219 aluminum alloy to form uneven corrosion product film and biofilm. The presence of microorganisms increase the corrosion rate of 2219 aluminum alloy by 59%. After removing the surface film, obvious pitting pits are found, and the maximum depth is 9.96 µm. The electrochemical results also show that the charge transfer resistance of aluminum alloy immersed in cutting fluid with microorganisms decreases and the corrosion rate increases significantly. The microorganisms in the cutting fluid accelerate the corrosion of 2219 aluminum alloy obviously, and pitting corrosion is the main form of corrosion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The size of cyclic pressure is an important factor restricting the length of borehole. The cyclic pressure is affected by many factors such as drilling fluid density, lubricity and displacement. In order to reduce the cycle pressure, it should maintain lower density, good lubricity and minimize displacement. In this paper, the research on drilling fluid was carried out. Formate solution with strong inhibition was selected as base slurry to reduce density and solid additive. The super lubricant was used to change the solid-solid friction during the drilling process to the oil-oil friction and reduce the friction coefficient; The intermolecular force of the polymer drag reducer was used to decrease the energy consumption of turbulence; Ultimately the low pressure loss drilling fluid system was formed, and a fluid circulation pressure measuring device was developed to measure the circulating pressure loss of the drilling fluid system. The measurement results showed that the low pressure loss drilling fluid had good low friction performance. The pressure loss was 10.52% smaller than the polymer drilling fluid and 15% smaller than the potassium drilling fluid.

Abstract

Although supercapacitors have attracted more and more attention owing to their fast charging speed and high power density, their wide applications have still been limited by their low energy density. In this study, a new CuS-nanoparticle-decorated Ti3C2T x electrode material is fabricated via a facile in situ synthesis strategy at room temperature. CuS nanoparticles, generated from the in situ reaction of Cu (NO3)2·3H2O with Na2S·9H2O, are anchored between the Ti3C2T x interlayers through electrostatic interaction. This type of structural construction is found capable of not only reducing the surface oxidation of Ti3C2T x , but also preventing the accumulation of CuS nanoparticles by the template effect of Ti3C2T x nanoplates. As a result, the CuS/Ti3C2T x nanohybrid delivers a maximum specific capacitance of 911 F gâˆ'1 at 1 A gâˆ'1 and a good cycling stability. A symmetric supercapacitor fabricated using the CuS/Ti3C2T x nanohybrid as the electrode material exhibits an energy density of 43.56 W h kgâˆ'1 with a power density of 475 W kgâˆ'1. Consequently, this work provides a new perspective of microstructural design for the preparation of electrode materials with superhigh specific capacitance through an easy and low-cost in situ -reaction method at room temperature. 394. Effects of heavy metals on bacterial community structures in two lead–zinc tailings situated in northwestern China.

Abstract

We evaluated the variations of bacterial communities in six heavy metal contaminated soils sampled from Yanzi Bian (YZB) and Shanping Cun (SPC) tailings located in northwestern China. Statistical analysis showed that both the heavy metals and soil chemical properties could affect the structure and diversity of the bacterial communities in the tailing soils. Cd, Cu, Zn, Cr, Pb, pH, SOM (soil organic matters), TP (total phosphorus) and TN (total nitrogen) were the main driving factors of the bacterial community variations. As a consequence, the relative abundances of certain bacterial phyla including Proteobacteria, Chloroflexi, Firmicutes, Nitrospirota and Bacteroidota were significantly increased in the tailing soils. Further, we found that the abundance increasement of these phyla were mainly contributed by certain species, such as s__unclassified_g__Thiobacillus (Proteobacteria), s__unclassified_g__Sulfobacillus (Firmicutes) and Leptospirillum ferriphilum (Nitrospirota). Thus, these species were considered to be strongly heavy metal tolerant. Together, our findings will provide a useful insight for further bioremediations of these contaminated areas. Abstract

Gamma-delta T cells (γδ T cells) play a crucial role in both innate and adaptive immunity within tumors, yet their presence and prognostic value in cancer remain underexplored. This study presents a large-scale analysis of γδ T cell receptor (γδ TCR) reads from 11,000 tumor samples spanning 33 cancer types, utilizing the TRUST4 algorithm. Our findings reveal extensive diversity in γδ TCR clonality and gene expression, underscoring the potential of γδ T cells as prognostic biomarkers in various cancers. We further demonstrate the utility of TCR gamma (TRG) and delta (TRD) gene expression from standard RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) data. This comprehensive dataset offers a valuable resource for advancing γδ T cell research, with implications for enhanced immunotherapy approaches or alternative therapeutic strategies. Additionally, our centralized database supports translational research into the therapeutic significance of γδ T cells.

396. A novel electrode hybrid of N–Ti3C2Tx/C/CuS fabricated using ZIF-67 as an intermediate derivation for superhigh electrochemical properties of supercapacitors

Abstract

The development of high-performance electrode materials with a far-from-enough energy density has still been crucial for the real applications of supercapacitor technology. In this paper, the N-doped and derivatized-carbon-intercalated Ti3C2Tx, abbreviated as N–Ti3C2Tx/C, was firstly fabricated using ZIF-67 as an intermediate precursor. Then N–Ti3C2Tx/C/CuS was prepared by further intercalation with CuS nanoparticles through a room-temperature-in-situ-reaction route. The doped pyridine N and pyrrolic N, together with derivatized carbon, optimized the surface charge distribution of Ti3C2Txwith increased active sites. In addition, CuS nanoparticles were observed distributed on the surface and between layers of single/multi-layered two-dimensional N–Ti3C2Tx/C nanosheets, forming a heterogeneous three-dimensional structure. Therefore, the specific capacitance of the N–Ti3C2Tx/C/CuS composite at a current density of 1 A g−1reached 1205.8 F g−1, about 5 times that of N–Ti3C2Tx/C and 2 times of CuS, also much higher than other composite reported in the literature. The energy density and power density of N–Ti3C2Tx/C/CuS, as a symmetric supercapacitor electrode, are 77.22 Wh·kg−1and 649.54 W kg−1, respectively. More importantly, N–Ti3C2Tx/C/CuS has an excellent stability after 3000 cycles, surpassing that of similar electrode materials reported in literature. This study opens a new direction for enhancing the energy density of supercapacitors with modified electrode materials through a MOF-mediated strategy.

Abstract

A multifunctional anti-cancer nanomedicine PTX/MNPs/QDs@Biotin–PEG–PCDA was developed aiming at overcoming paclitaxel resistance in MCF-7/ADR breast cancer cells with simultaneous imaging., A multifunctional anti-cancer nanomedicine based on a biotin–poly(ethylene glycol)–poly(curcumin-dithio dipropionic acid) (Biotin–PEG–PCDA) polymeric nanocarrier loaded with paclitaxel (PTX), magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) and quantum dots (QDs) is developed. It combines advantageous properties of efficient targeted delivery and uptake (via biotin and MNP), intracellular responsive release (via cleavable PCDA polymer), fluorescence imaging (via QD) and combined PTX-curcumin dual-drug treatment, allowing for overcoming drug resistance mechanisms of model multidrug resistant breast cancer cells (MCF-7/ADR). The PTX/MNPs/QDs@Biotin–PEG–PCDA nanoparticles are highly stable under physiological conditions, but are quickly disassembled to release their drug load in the presence of 10 mM glutathione (GSH). The nanoparticles show high uptake by tumour cells from a combined effect of magnet targeting and biotin receptor-mediated internalization. Moreover, curcumin, an intracellularly cleaved product of PCDA, can effectively down regulate the expression of drug efflux transporters such as P-glycoprotein (P-gp) to increase PTX accumulation within target cancer cells, thereby enhancing PTX induced cytotoxicity and therapeutic efficacy against MCF-7/ADR cells. Taken together, this novel tumour-targeting and traceable multifunctional nanomedicine is highly effective against model MDR cancer at the cellular level.
