1. The synthesis of seven topochemical analogs of the antibiotic valinomycin has been effected. 2. The complex-formation and antimicrobial properties of the analogs obtained have been studied. 3. The synthesis of valinomycin enriched with the isotope15N in one L-valine residue has been effected.
