Isolated single‐atom iron catalysts with excellent oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) reactivity and outstanding stability are prepared by a cage‐encapsulated‐precursor pyrolysis strategy. In their Communication on page 6937 ff., D. Wang, Y. Li, and co‐workers show experimentally and theoretically that it is essential for the high ORR performance to maintain the iron centers as isolated atoms as well as to incorporate nitrogen. The Cover shows a novel Cu‐SAPO‐44 zeolite which would be a promising candidate as a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst for deNOx with great potential in after‐treatment systems for mobile sources.In their Full Paper, Y. Xin et al. report for the first time, insights into the performance and active sites of this novel Cu ion‐exchanged SAPO‐44 zeolite (Cu‐SAPO‐44) in NH3‐SCR. Experimentally derived results demonstrate that Cu‐SAPO‐44 exhibits excellent activity and N2 selectivity over a wide temperature window even after severe hydrothermal aging and that two kinds of isolated Cu2+ species with high thermostability are the active sites. This findings represent a new opportunity for potential industrial applications of Cu‐SAPO‐44 and provide a choice for NOx control in diesel exhausts. Precisely controlling the optimal amount of hydration water in the precursor solution, results in the formation of a smooth and uniform perovskite film, as described by Y. Zhan, L. Zheng, and co‐workers on page 5028. With appropriate annealing, the perovskite monohydrate loses its hydration water and crystallizes into pristine MAPbI3. The simplicity of controlling hydration water during precursor solution preparation will influence mass production of perovskite solar cells. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The feasibility of amorphous hollow Ni‐Co double hydroxide nanomaterials for efficient electrochemical water oxidation is verified by Zhiyong Tang, Lin Guo, and co‐workers in article number 1401880. The high catalytic activity and excellent stability of the NiCo2.7(OH)x nanocages demonstrate the promising application of amorphous nanomaterials in water electrochemical oxidation. Furthermore, the relation between the compositions of amorphous catalysts and their electrocatalytic activity is studied using experimental investigations and computational simulations. Cu removal by a novel multi-amines decorated resin (PAMD) from wastewater in the absence or presence of citric acid (CA) was examined. Adsorption capacity of Cu onto PAMD markedly increased by 186% to 5.07 mmol/g in the presence of CA, up to 7 times of that onto four commercial resins under the same conditions. Preloaded and kinetic studies demonstrated adsorption of [Cu-CA] complex instead of CA site-bridging and variations of adsorbate species were qualitatively illustrated. The interaction configuration was further studied with ESI-MS, FTIR, XPS and XANES characterizations. The large enhancement of Cu adsorption in Cu-CA bi-solutes systems was attributed to mechanism change from single-site to dual-sites interaction in which cationic or neutral Cu species (Cu2+ and CuHL0) coordinated with neutral amine sites and anionic complex species (CuL− and Cu2L22−) directly interacted with protonated amine sites via electrostatic attraction, and the ratio of the two interactions was approximately 0.5 for the equimolar bi-solutes system. Moreover, commonly coexisting ions in wastewaters had no obvious effect on the superior performance of PAMD. Also, Cu and CA could be recovered completely with HCl. Therefore, PAMD has a great potential to efficiently remove heavy metal ions from wastewaters in the presence of organic acids. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
