The U.S. Department of Education advocates strongly using assessment of student learning as a means of maintaining high standards of education. Instructors use mostly multiple choice and discussion questions as assessment tools. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of multiple-choice and discussion questions and participant variables in assessing student analytical and graphical skills. Additionally, the aim was to explore the potential utilization of these assessment outcomes within an early intervention system. The instructor conducted three examinations, consisting multiple-choice and discussion questions, covering seven chapters in two introductory economics classes. Approximately 244 student examination artifacts were collected, and categorized based on scores on multiple-choice analytical, multiple-choice graphical, discussion analytical, and discussion graphical questions. Additionally, a survey was administered to collect information on challenges that students faced and participant variables of grade point average (GPA), race, and motivation. The instructor also attended workshops on growth, purpose, and sense of belonging (GPS) mindset; Bloom's taxonomy and writing intensive that were integral elements of the early intervention system. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, chisquare, and analysis of covariance tests were used. The results indicate that struggling students had a mean GPA of 2.44 or below, implying that the GPA helped identify struggling students. The GPS mindset helped identify key challenges that individual students faced, Bloom's taxonomy aided in clarifying assignment questions and comprehension, and writing intensive assignments helped improve performance on discussion questions. Most universities are working committedly towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The University of Alicante (UA) (Spain) has designed a series of strategies to help crystallize its aims within these goals, including those related to gender equality (SDG 5). Given the context, the aims of this study are (1) to find out whether teachers integrate SDG 5 into their teaching and, if so, what strategies they use, (2) to analyse how they perceive the effects of this and what factors help or hinder the process, and (3) to check for possible differences in these perceptions according to sex and faculty. Some 310 teachers from all the UA faculties participated. A descriptive and comparative analysis was performed, as was a content analysis. Half of the participants were found to be implementing these strategies, with women in general and teachers from the Faculty of Humanities in particular appearing to be most aware of the subject. However, only a minority applied them on a mainstream basis. The most used strategy was inclusive language. Other strategies, such as reflecting on equality, promoting equal participation, visibilizing women in different areas of knowledge, equal treatment of students and gender research, were also present in their narratives but to only a very small degree. Improved professional development for teachers and greater student awareness of gender issues were identified as positive effects of incorporating these strategies. Participants also felt that low awareness and a lack of time and training were obstacles to the process. Universities should therefore establish specific institutional policies aimed at integrating SDG 5 as a quality indicator. Training programmes should be redesigned to take into account a more practical approach, the type of learning (classroom, online or mixed), and subsequent follow-up in the classroom to guarantee effective integration. This article leverages the literature to examine and uncover strategies and methodologies to assist and empower business professors in achieving excellence in teaching. A content analysis of 13 recent (2020–2022) empirical studies revealed 78 qualities/characteristics of excellent college teaching. A ranking model for the 13 articles was created resulting in 14 distinct categories of qualities/characteristics. An additional content analysis resulted in a reduction of the number of factors to nine. Finally, specific strategies and recommendations for business professors to enhance their teaching excellence and fulfill their potential as outstanding educators are developed and discussed. The cultural transformations experienced by the occidental world since the decade of 1960 led to a modification of the relationship that the teachers used to have with their educational profession. They went over from a vocation to a profession without further ado. This is the idea that François Dubet puts forward in his analysis of what he calls the "decline of the institution". In this article, we started by considering this theory in order to put to the test its pertinence and to understand the relationship that the university teachers construct with their profession. By means of interviews in a private university, we demonstrate that what prevails is a conception and a relation with the teaching labor that can be assimilated with a vocational commitment based on a belief in a "missionary" dimension of university teaching. Drug–drug interactions are preventable causes of adverse events. Different factors have been recognized as important predictors of drug–drug interactions but few studies have addressed these predictors in patients admitted into medical wards of a tertiary hospital in Nigeria hence this study. This was a retrospective study conducted using case records of patients admitted into the medical wards between January 1 and December 31, 2020. Patients were selected using a systematic random sampling method. Socio‐demographic details including age, gender, number of comorbidities, and number of medications prescribed and diagnosis were collected on days 1, 3, and at discharge. Potential drug–drug interactions were checked using Lexi‐interact® software. Analysis was set at p < 0.05. A total of 430 case records were included in this study based on the inclusion criteria. Lexi‐interact recorded a prevalence of (217) 50.5% on day 1, (146) 34.0% on day 3, and (290) 67.4% at discharge. A significant association (p < 0.05) was found between the potential drug–drug interactions (DDI) and an increased number of medicines prescribed on all the days of admission. Also, patients without certain infectious or parasitic diseases have reduced odds of developing DDI. There is a need for continuous monitoring of medications from admission to discharge especially in the elderly, those on multiple medications, certain infectious or parasitic diseases, and comorbidities as these impact on DDIs. Background: Severe infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) have mortality rate exceeding 50%. On the strength of this, this study sought to determine the prevalence of urinary tract infection (UTI) in pregnancy caused by CRE and associated risk factors in University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Nigeria, with the aim of making recommendations that can stem the tide of UTI caused by this bacterial strain in the hospital. Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study of 349 consecutively selected pregnant women attending antenatal clinic of UCTH, Calabar, Nigeria, between September 2020 and August 2021. Demographic/clinical data and risk factors were collected with semi-structured interviewer-administered questionnaire. Voided mid-stream urine (MSU) sample was collected from each participant and transported to the medical microbiology laboratory of the hospital for microbiological analysis using conventional culture and biochemical identification methods. Antimicrobial susceptibility test (AST) on each isolate was performed by the disk diffusion technique against selected antibiotics. Phenotypic carbapenemase production from presumptive carbapenem resistant isolates following AST was confirmed by the modified Hodge test (MHT). Data analysis was done on SPSS version 19.0. Association of risk factors with prevalence of UTI caused by CRE was determined using Chi square or Fisher Exact test, with p<0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: The prevalence of UTI among the pregnant women was 10.0% (35/349), with prevalence of 6.6% for Escherichia coli (23/349) and 3.5% (12/349) for Klebsiella pneumoniae. Antibiotic susceptibility test result showed that piperacillin-tazobactam was the most active antibiotic in vitro, with 82.9% isolates sensitive to it while sensitivity to imipenem (60.0%) and meropenem (40.0%) was low. A total 17 (48.6%) of the 35 isolates were resistant to carbapenems in the AST and 12 (34.3%) were carbapenemase-producing strains on MHT while 5 (14.3%) were non-carbapenemase-mediated resistance (NCMR). None of the demographic characteristics or risk factors analysed was significantly associated with UTI caused by CRE in the pregnant women (p>0.05). To establish a student-centered teaching quality assurance system in English teaching in universities, it is necessary to establish an educational philosophy of survival based on quality, achieve student-centered learning, optimize the allocation of English teaching resources, and reform evaluation standards; To address the problems in English teaching, we need to raise awareness of the construction of a "student-centered" teaching quality assurance system, carry out "student-centered" teacher training activities, and improve teachers' professional skills; At the same time, we will establish a student-centered English curriculum system, promote the reform and innovation of teaching models, establish a diversified English teaching evaluation system, and ensure the high efficiency and quality of English teaching in universities. The college English teaching quality evaluation is the MAGDM. Recently, the TODIM and MABAC technique has been employed to manage MAGDM. The interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) are employed as a useful tool for portraying uncertain information during the college English teaching quality evaluation. In this paper, the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy TODIM-MABAC (IVIF-TODIM-MABAC) technique is built to manage the MAGDM under IVIFSs. At last, the numerical example for college English teaching quality evaluation is employed to show the IVIF-TODIM-MABAC decision technique. The main contribution of this paper is outlined: (1) the TODIM technique based on MABAC has been extended to IVIFSs based on Entropy technique; (2) the Entropy technique is employed to manage weight based on score values under IVIFSs. In recent decades, there has been growing concern about teacher preparation at university and the link to educational quality. As a result, higher education institutions have designed programmes to help faculty teachers further their development in their professional careers. However, the literature pinpoints a lack of empirical evidence on professional development (PD) policies at university level due to the limited tradition of research and evaluation at this educational stage. The aim of this research is to provide an overview of the actions and programmes for the professional learning of new academics at university institutions. To this end, we conducted a systematic review of the international literature, based on 262 papers from three international databases, of which a total of 18 were analysed in depth. This study examines the types of programme, content and learning outcomes. The findings show that most programmes deploy mentoring versus other modalities, although duration and content are heterogeneous. In addition, mentor selection and training is revealed as a key element for programme success. This article brings a creative–critical approach to bear on my long, and evolving, relationship with Dickens. Through examining the tenacious grip that Dickens has had on my imaginative, emotional, and professional lives, I explore the conundrum of continuing to admire a writer whose ubiquity, personal history, and even style can sometimes cause embarrassment to contemporary publics. In the face of such feelings, and my ambivalence about literary hero-worship, I make a case for Dickens's unique power and lasting relevance. I explore how Dickens has shaped my creative imagination, education, and work as a university lecturer, and how his writing continues to impact on the lives of friends, family, and students. The article takes the form of a creative–critical personal essay, combining autobiographical accounts of growing up in Dickens's Kent, and of engaging with Great Expectations at different life stages, with the scholarly perspectives that underpin my publications and university teaching. Definition: Contemporary educators have increasingly recognised the diversity of their student population and, hence, have attempted to use multimodal teaching methods for additional student learning benefits. One popular example is repurposing film and TV content for higher education pedagogies. However, integrating these materials into teaching effectively often proves more complex than lecturers might anticipate. This entry investigates the merits and challenges of using FF/TV in teaching to determine the factors that impact development of an effective FF/TV pedagogy for student learning, through an interdisciplinary review of the existing literature, followed by a qualitative survey and semi-structured interviews with lecturers across disciplines at Australian universities. Using visual literacy theory, cognitive load theory, and dual coding theory, data analysis reveals that the pros and cons of integrating film and TV in teaching are in fact interconnected, and the main role of the teacher is to pedagogically balance them. This article presents the courses on digital humanities (DH) offered by the Seminar für Semitistik und Arabistik at Freie Universität Berlin in three semesters in the period 2021–2023. The article provides an overview of the organizational background, the rationale for the selected teaching format, and the syllabus developed. With the development of wearable device technology, light sensor has been applied in the field of fitness, but in the aerobics teaching in colleges and universities, the use of light sensor technology for motion capture research is still limited. In order to monitor the aerobic exercise process of the students in real time, the experiment converts the movement into the corresponding data information through the sensor, and then the computer is combined with the projector or camera equipment for visual simulation. Therefore, this paper aims to design and develop a wearable device-based light sensor motion capture system for calisthenics teaching in colleges and universities. The research uses light sensor technology to monitor students' movements in real time by integrating light sensor devices into their wearable devices. Sensors collect data about body posture, range of motion, and speed, and transmit it to a virtual system for processing and analysis. Through the analysis of experimental data, it is found that the motion capture system based on light sensor has high accuracy and real-time in the aerobics teaching in colleges and universities. In the last few decades, universities in India have witnessed the joining of a record number of students from marginalized communities and oftentimes struggle. This expansion of access has brought about changes within classrooms and college campuses, sometimes giving rise to contention and causing numerous conflicts as well. To investigate the correlation between indoor environment and personnel learning performance, a typical classroom in a university in Xi'an was selected and continuously monitored for parameters such as indoor temperature and humidity, CO2 concentration, sound level and illumination, and 248 students were subjectively surveyed and field tested for learning efficiency using subjective questionnaires and neurobehavioural ability assessment software. The results show that during the transition season, students as a whole were in a cold but comfortable temperature range, with peak learning performance at 21.5 °C; Two-thirds of students feel comfortable in environments with CO2 concentration below 1 000 mg/m³ and the mean learning performance remained at a high level; Students preferred quiet environments but noise at 60 dB levels had an arousing effect on subjects; Brighter environments were more suitable for learning, but brighter than 340 lx could irritate the eyes and make students feel fatigued, resulting in lower learning efficiency; there were differences in the strength of correlations between environmental parameters and the four learning efficiency factors:concentration, perception, logic and memory, with concentration having a strong correlation with all four environmental parameters. This paper aims to explore unsupervised cross-lingual word representation learning methods with the specific task of acquiring a bilingual translation lexicon on a monolingual corpus. Specifically, an unsupervised cross-lingual word representation co-training scheme based on different word embedding models is first designed and outperforms the baseline model. In this paper, we adeptly tackles the obstacles encountered in higher education foreign language teaching and underscores the necessity for inventive teaching methods, and design and implement a linear self-encoder-based principal component acquisition scheme for the interpoint mutual information matrix obtained from a monolingual corpus. And on top of this, a collaborative training scheme based on linear self-encoder for cross-language word representation is designed to improve the learning effect of cross-language word embedding. The results of the study show that the most obvious rise in the pre and post tests of the experimental class in the practical application of the foreign language teaching model based on the method of this paper is the word sense guessing, which rose by 23.12%. Sentence meaning comprehension increased by 23.39%, main idea by 16.61%, factual details by 15.47%, and inferential judgment by 10.28%. Introduction:COVID-19 disease has resulted in suspension of all nonurgent routine dental treatments. In view of COVID-19 situation, social distancing, movement restriction orders, and affected health care systems, there is an urgent need to resume and deliver oral health care remotely. Hence, alternative means of dental care should be available for both patients and dentists. Therefore, this study aims to assess patients' readiness for teledentistry in Malaysian urban population attending an undergraduate teaching university. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted among 631 adult patients visiting the Faculty of Dentistry, SEGi University, from January 2020 to May 2021 in Selangor, Malaysia. A validated, self-administered, 5-point Likert scale online questionnaire comprising five domains was administered. (1) Patients' demographics and dental history, (2) patients' access to teledentistry, (3) patients' understanding towards teledentistry, (4) patients' willingness, and (5) barriers in using teledentistry were used to collect the required information. Results:Six hundred and thirty-one (n = 631) participants responded to the questionnaire. Ninety percent of patients were able to connect to Wi-Fi services independently and 77% participants were comfortable using online communication platforms. Seventy-one percent of the participants agreed that video and telephone clinics can reduce chances of infection rather than face-to-face consultation during the pandemic. Fifty-five percent of patients felt that virtual clinics would save time and 60% thought it could reduce travelling costs. Fifty-one percent showed their willingness to use video or telephone clinics when implemented at onsite clinics. Conclusion:Our study shows the readiness of patients to accept teledentistry as an alternative method of oral care if appropriate training and education are provided. The results of this study have prompted an increase in patients' education and shown a need to train clinicians and patients to integrate this technology at SEGi University. The design and implementation of teachers' classroom teaching strategies is the key to the success of second language classroom teaching. In order to improve the quality of second-language classroom teaching in universities and enhance the interactivity in the teaching process, the application of virtual reality technology in second-language classroom teaching in universities is studied. Firstly, an integrated ware platform is designed for second language classroom teaching in universities, which consists of an integrated ware library and a database. Then virtual reality technology is used to design an integrated ware library within the platform and collect information such as various teaching media resources designed in the classroom teaching content into the integrated ware library; Utilize 3DS Max software in virtual reality technology to construct three-dimensional models of teaching scenes and entities; Choose to use linear difference method to render 3D model colors; From a visual perspective, enhance the realism of the rendered model through image enhancement technology and color contrast enhancement technology. According to the functions of the physical object, various interactive events are added to the created teaching scene and the three-dimensional model of the entity and stored in the integrable ware library to achieve panoramic roaming of the second language classroom teaching scene in universities. The experimental results show that the teaching platform designed by this method can accurately construct three-dimensional models of teaching scenes and objects with good visual effects, providing users with a more realistic sensory experience and effectively improving students' mastery of teaching content. The article aims to present the activities of the Archival Laboratory at the University of Palermo, which involved the creation of an oral archive about the university movement known as "Pantera" (1989-90). This article examines the differences and commonalities between online and offline interaction in elementary and university teaching from a structural theoretical perspective. We show the reproduction of structures even when comparing the different institutions of higher education and elementary school. Furthermore, we demonstrate an overarching form of irritation of these structures, which we call ‘expansion of the gray area’. Background: Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the summer of 2020 saw face-to-face teaching replaced by online teaching. The question arose as to how digitalisation may be implemented meaningfully. The views of lecturers and students on past online programmes were gathered in order to identify potential and future prospects. Project description: An exploratory, guidelines-based interview study was conducted during the clinical phase of the medicine degree at the Faculty of Medicine in Würzburg. Five lecturers and five students were interviewed in the winter semester of 2020/21. This was followed by a content analysis evaluation according to Kuckartz, with the help of MAXQDA. Results: Online teaching offers more flexibility and security for the future. Hybrid formats (e.g., blended learning) are in demand. While theoretical knowledge can be taught online, face-to-face teaching remains essential in practical training. Digital elements must be developed didactically and anchored in the curriculum. Interaction and direct feedback between students and lecturers are key aspects of this. Discussion: Online teaching in medicine offers numerous potentials and didactic design options that can improve the degree programme in a competency-based manner. Combined teaching formats are particularly effective in this regard. Fittingly conceived, multimedia teaching formats enable students to approach their studies in a focused manner. The points raised during the interviews correspond with the fundamental principles of the ARCS model, which was developed to strengthen continuous motivation in students. Conclusion: Well-thought-out design and integration of online teaching can contribute to attractive, efficient, and future-oriented teaching/learning activities. Improving the quality of education through effective teaching evaluation is crucial. A scientific and rational assessment system for physical education is important. The assessment of teaching is a complex and dynamic process, but utilizing the cutting-edge technology of fuzzy neural networks can help navigate this complexity. This study aimed to improve the assessment of physical education classes. The first step towards creating a multi-index evaluation system for college physical education instructors' performance is to use the analytical hierarchy technique. This technique evaluates the instructor's teaching content, method, attitude, and influence. In this study, a system was developed for physical education using a fuzzy neural network model to evaluate faculty members in college-level physical education workshops. The input for the fuzzy neural network model is the assessment evaluation, and its output is a vector that indicates the quality of the college physical education received by the student, classified as great, good, average, or bad. Compared to other approaches for evaluating the quality of physical education courses in higher education, the fuzzy neural network model has shown higher accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, and F1 score. After implementing the proposed methods for imparting physical education, there was a significant improvement in accuracy (95%), specificity (94%), sensitivity (92%), and F1 score (93%). To do this, 25 professors from Latin American universities were surveyed regarding the impact of today's university graduates in the region on social life, technology, and entrepreneurship. In college education, English is a required course for every college student, and undergraduate colleges have certain requirements for college English proficiency. At the same time, English is directly related to its learning, so improving the quality of college English teaching (CET) is very important. Teaching quality is a key indicator for measuring the effectiveness of English teaching. Learning quality evaluation is a very complex process that involves many factors, such as evaluation indicators, evaluation methods, etc. Therefore, establishing an objective and scientific English quality evaluation system is a challenging issue. The CET quality evaluation is a MAGDM. Then, the TODIM and VIKOR was used to set up MAGDM. The interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) are employed as a tool for depicting uncertain information during the CET quality evaluation. In this study, the entropy and score values are employed to establish the objective weights. Then, an integrated interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy TODIM-VIKOR (IVIF-TODIM-VIKOR) is developed to cope with the MAGDM problem. This study examines disparities in teaching practice corrective feedback among university assessors in the Tanzanian context: Implications on pre-service professional practices. A mixed-method research design was employed to bring together different strengths and non-overlapping weaknesses of quantitative and qualitative methods. The purposive sampling technique was used to get 120 undergraduate pre-service teachers from three colleges involved in the study. Questionnaire, interview and documentary reviews were used to collect data and analyzed descriptively to provide summaries in terms of numerical counts and frequencies. The study revealed that teaching practice assessors have conflicting suggestions and non-consensus in supporting pre-service teachers when dealing with similar issues. Conflicting suggestions might pose anomalies on the course of action to be undertaken by pre-service teachers who are trying to grow professionally. The study recommends the formulation of inter-institutional consensual supervisory guidelines that could inform synergy among university teaching practice assessors and supervisors. This paper investigates employment outcomes for a large sample of Ph.D. students who were enrolled in a doctoral training program in Italy in the period 2008–14. The empirical analysis is based on survey data obtained from a questionnaire distributed to 23,500 individuals in 2016. In Italy, student enrolment in a Ph.D. involves a university-based selection process; most students then receive either government or private sector financial support covering their study period. We are interested in the influence of privately funded scholarships on subsequent success in obtaining a job in academia or in the business sector or choosing self-employment. We hypothesize that receipt of private funding will increase the probability that the student will go on to pursue a career in the private sector. We find that private sector funding/scholarships have a tangible effect on steering the students toward employment in the private sector only if during their study period they have an opportunity to collaborate with a company. If the aim is to promote employment of graduates by private firms, then our results suggest that private companies should seek to be more closely involved in university Ph.D. programs. Trigger warnings are written or oral notifications of course content meant to provide students advance notice of sensitive material that may produce adverse health responses and, therefore, inhibit academic performance. This study examined trigger warning use in an academic discipline that includes a substantial amount of graphic content regarding violence and victimization using survey data from criminal justice and criminology faculty (N = 791). Trigger warning use was widespread − 61.9% of faculty had used a trigger warning. They were largely used to allow students to prepare for upcoming material and because in the faculty's judgment, the content warranted a trigger warning. Use was highest in Victimology courses, but trigger warnings were used in a wide array of courses. Most faculties had not changed anything in their teaching over concerns about potentially triggering material. English teaching at college levels is more sophisticated and advanced compared to high schools and professionals. The teaching must have high-quality meetings, real-world interactions, and professional applications. Therefore teaching quality evaluation periodically is performed internally and externally through skill validation and joint training. This article introduces a Regressive Fuzzy Evaluation Model (RFEM) for analyzing the quality of college classroom English teaching quality. This evaluation model operates over the teaching quality metrics such as performance, student understandability, and application. The understandability and English application to the real world is modeled by referring to the performance as the regressive factor. The regressive factor is analyzed for two fuzzification outputs: high and low, by analyzing the individual factors over cumulative teaching grades. The regression for low fuzzy outputs is analyzed using mean understandability and application score from the previous assessment instance. This is required for training the fuzzification from the mean score rather than the low level. Therefore the quality improvements from the lagging features are addressed by providing a new teaching method. In the past decade, people's life is getting better and better, and the attention to sports competition is also increasing. In the current information age, sports and athletes' data are very important, especially team football. In college, football coaches can use the data to analyze the situation of college football players and opposing players to better specify the corresponding tactics to win the game. However, at present, most of the data results need to be manually recorded and counted on the spot or after the game. In the process of statistics, Zhou Jing will inevitably have omissions and other problems. For this problem, a method based on space-time graph convolution. In the process, machine vision and motion recognition methods are combined, and the joint movements of different football players are extracted through the pose estimation method to obtain motion recognition results. To ented the methods on the KTH dataset. The results showed that the football motion recognition using the research method reached 98% on the dataset, which significantly improved the accuracy of nearly 5% over the existing state-of-the-art methods. At the same time, the accuracy rate of football movements was less than 5%. This means that the research method can effectively identify football sports, and can be widely used in other fields, and promote the development of human movement recognition in human-computer interaction and smart city and other fields. This qualitative case study set out to explore how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the educational practice of academics, using this moment as a new perspective to illuminate broader, enduring issues such as how will approaches to university education that have emerged in response to the pandemic lead to lasting changes? What is the likely impact of these changes on the dominant forms of university education that we will see in the future? Findings reveal a transition from panicgogy to the pedagogy of compassion. There appeared to be a shift to an interest in human suffering and social justice. An ethic of care and pedagogy of compassion seemed to foreground the practice of many academics, which moved education beyond the curriculum and educational strategies to cultivate social capital and equal life chances for all. Background: Occupations that require heavy vocal use can place the person at risk of voice disorders (VDs). Heavy demands on the voice, especially for a long time or with loud back-ground noise, can lead to vocal abuse or misuse. The study aimed to measure the prevalence of perceived voice disorders among the teaching faculty at a female university, identify the risk fac-tors that affect their voice, and determine the effect of perceived voice disorders on their quality of life (QoL). Methods: The study sample consisted of female teaching faculty (N = 401). The ques-tionnaire included general sociodemographic data, general voice data, the vocal tract discomfort (VTD) scale, and the World Health Organization Quality of Life assessment (WHOQOL)-BREF. Results: The results demonstrated that 44.1% of the participants had perceived voice disorders, and stress, reflux, and asthma had a significant relationship with self-perceived voice disorders. Furthermore, the data showed that self-perceived voice disorders negatively impacted the overall QoL of teaching faculty. Conclusions: Perceived voice disorders are affected by various factors, including health conditions, medications, and lifestyle choices. Although teaching characteristics and demo-graphic factors are believed to be the cause, in this study they did not significantly contribute to perceived voice disorders. Faculty members with perceived voice disorders have a poorer quality of life, highlighting the need for education on preventative vocal measures and awareness of voice care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Due to increasingly global cultural exchanges, people are more conscious about the importance of mastering a foreign language. Language translation and helping students in the colleges with their learning abilities to master one or more languages using computer-aided translation and training system has become an important research. Intelligibility is one of the most important indicators for translation evaluation of Chinese language spoken by English learners, but there is a big gap between the automatic translation intelligibility score and the human expert score. Based on this concept, this paper addresses the existing challenges faced by translation detection software to analyze their limitations and characteristics, especially related to learners' Chinese translation experience. To enhance translation recognition accuracy, we employ a data mining approach to identify imaging factors associated with incorrect translation by college students. First, we develop a data mining recognition and detection method, leading to improved accuracy in translation recognition by utilizing association specification and classification. The classifier is then utilized to distinguish various types of translation errors, while also incorporating a translation intelligibility evaluation to provide error correction feedback to learners. The proposed model outperforms standard translation methods and alternative approaches, achieving impressive identification accuracy (94.58%), efficiency (88.12%), and a low missed detection rate (5.32%). Moreover, it significantly reduces the translation mistakes, including grammatical (5.21%), semantic (3.45%), and contextual (2.18%) errors. The support vector machine (SVM) classifier outshines artificial neural network (ANN) classification in error detection, and the suggested scoring system demonstrates its superiority with the highest average correlation coefficient (0.822) compared to expert scoring. Recent discussions of ungrading highlight its importance in the educational research community. This study focuses on 12 students in an Educational Psychology, Master's level, synchronous online course taught using an ungraded, phenomenological approach. Transcripts of participant reflections were coded in vivo and developed into themes. Findings included a context of "difference" in which students experienced a "mental transformation"; being "untethered from traditional structure"; learning with "wonderful classmates"; and the need for more college teaching that goes "far beyond" a test or quiz. Since the 1970s, so-called ecumenical church centers have emerged in Germany as spaces for shared Christian life and celebration. By way of example, the article explores two such building projects in Munich from different periods. The historical (contexts of) emergence, structural design and liturgical practice of the two centers are investigated not only on the basis of written sources, but also through on-site explorations and discussions. By integrating these analyses into university teaching and learning experiences, this study wants to indicate, how liturgical studies can benefit from such a multi-layered approach both in research and teaching. Background: Retrieval practice promotes retention of learned information more than restudying the information. However, benefits of multiple-choice testing over restudying in real-world educational contexts and the role of practically relevant moderators such as feedback and learners' ability to retrieve tested content from memory (i.e., retrievability) are still underexplored. Objective: The present research examines the benefits of multiple-choice questions with an experimental design that maximizes internal validity, while investigating the role of feedback and retrievability in an authentic educational setting of a university psychology course. Method: After course sessions, students answered multiple-choice questions or restudied course content and afterward could choose to revisit learning content and obtain feedback in a self-regulated way. Results: Participants on average obtained corrective feedback for 9% of practiced items when practicing course content. In the criterial test, practicing retrieval was not superior to reading summarizing statements in general but a testing effect emerged for questions that targeted information that participants could easily retrieve from memory. Conclusion: Feedback was rarely sought. However, even without feedback, participants profited from multiple-choice questions that targeted easily retrievable information. Teaching Implications: Caution is advised when employing multiple-choice testing in self-regulated learning environments in which students are required to actively obtain feedback. This paper illustrates how unbundling has progressed from university-controlled approaches to incorporating partnership organisations into the delivery of university functions, specifically teaching. In this paper, we limit the scope of unbundling to the management of online teachers using three Australian case studies. In the first section, we review the literature for reasons that support unbundling the teaching approach, the effectiveness of this approach, and criticisms posed. Then we use aspects of the literature to present an unbundled teaching hierarchy. We use three examples from the hierarchy in the context of three Australian case studies that are illustrative of how online teachers are managed in Australian higher education. As discussed in this paper, the opportunities and challenges associated with unbundling university teaching have implications for the quality of the student experience, teacher experience, and cost effectiveness for institutions. This paper explores the potential of edge computing and artificial intelligence to improve the quality evaluation of physical education (PE) teaching in ordinary colleges. Unlike other discipline-based teaching, PE lacks fixed classrooms, materials, and tasks, making it difficult to uniformly evaluate teaching quality. To address this issue, an edge computing optimization model is proposed to optimize the PE quality evaluation model. The evaluation of physical education curriculum teaching is a critical component of physical education teaching work, directly affecting various aspects of teaching activities. The proposed teaching evaluation model focuses on the physical fitness compliance rate of students' evaluation and reweights the proportion of final examination scores. In addition, a PE teaching health system is designed to monitor teaching quality in real-time, allowing students to evaluate the entire learning process. The system is optimized using edge computing technology, reducing network transmission costs by 20% and increasing transmission efficiency by 15%. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system effectively collects student evaluations and improves the scientific nature of PE teaching goals. The integration of edge computing and artificial intelligence technologies has the potential to enhance the capabilities of the system and improve teaching quality in ordinary colleges.
