Araçların hafifletilmesi günümüzde yakıt verimliliği ve sürdürülebilirlik konularının öne çıkmasıyla önemli bir konu haline gelmiştir. Araçlarda motorlar dış etkilere karşı korunması gereken önemli parçalar arasında bulunur. Titreşerek çalışan motorun bir koruyucu tarafından korunması gerekmektedir. Motordan gelen titreşim sebebiyle motor koruyucu braketin doğal frekansının istenilen değerlerde olması ihtiyacı doğar. Bir sac parçası üzerinde belirli bölgelerde şekil değişiklikleri ile frekansın değiştirilmesi hedeflenebilir. Aynı zamanda uygun yerlerden boşaltmalar yapılarak hafifletme yapılırken frekans kontrol altında tutulabilir. Bu çalışmada 6 noktadan motora sabitlenmiş motor altındaki braketin formunda oynamalar yapılarak bu değişikliklerin doğal frekansının yükseltilmesi üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Topografya optimizasyonu ve modal analizler kullanılmıştır. Topografya analizinde yatay, dikey ve dairesel yönelim kısıtlarının olduğu ve yönelim kısıtının olmadığı optimizasyon çalışmaları yapılmıştır ve dizayn hacminden dolayı kabartmaların yükseklik kısıtı 6 mm olarak belirlenmiştir. Topografya sonuçlarına bağlı olarak farklı kesit görünümlerine sahip formlarda tasarımlar yapılmış ve modal analizle bu form değişiklerinin ve yönelimlerin doğal frekans üzerindeki etkisi ölçülerek karşılaştırılmıştır. Analizlerin doğruluğu için DIİ yazıcıda 0.15 ölçeğinde numuneler üretilmiş ve bu numunelere darbe çekiç testi yapılmıştır. Analizler deney numuneleri için doğrulanmış ve ölçek farkını görebilmek için bu analizler 1/0.7875/0.575/0.3625/0.15 ölçeklerinde tekrarlanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda yatay ve dikey yönlendirilmiş form tiplerinde frekans değerleri birbirine yakın çıkmıştır. Frekans değeri artışı genel olarak kabartma sayısına bağlı olarak değil topografya kısıtındaki 6 mm yüksekliğine sahip yüzeylerin alanının büyüklüğüne bağlı olarak arttığı gözlemlenmiştir. En yüksek frekans değeri topografya analizinde yönlendirme kısıtı olmadan sadece yükseklik kısıtıyla yapılan analiz sonucunda tespit edilen bölgelerin tümünün yükseltilmesiyle ortaya çıkan sacın formunda elde edilmiştir. Weight reduction of vehicles has become an important issue today, with the emphasis on fuel efficiency and sustainability. In vehicles, engines are among the important parts that must be protected against external influences. The vibrating motor must be protected by a guard. Due to the vibration coming from the motor, the natural frequency of the motor protective bracket needs to be at the desired values. It can be aimed to change the frequency with shape changes in certain regions on a sheet metal part.At the same time, the frequency can be kept under control while decreasing mass from appropriate places. Topography optimization and modal analyzes were used. Optimization studies were carried out in the topography analysis with horizontal, vertical and circular orientation constraints and no orientation constraints. Due to the design volume, the height constraint of the reliefs has been determined as 6 mm. Depending on the topography results, designs with different cross-sectional views were made and the effects of these form changes and orientations on the natural frequency were measured and compared with modal analysis. For the accuracy of the analyzes, samples with a scale of 0.15 were produced on the DLP printer and the impact hammer test was performed on these samples. Analyzes were validated for the test samples. Analyzes were repeated at 1/0.7875/0.575/0.3625/0.15 scales to observe the scale difference. As a result of the study, the frequency values of the horizontally and vertically oriented form types were close to each other. It has been observed that the increase in frequency value generally increases not depending on the number of reliefs, but depending on the size of the area of the 6 mm high surfaces in the topography constraint.

Sürdürülebilirlik prensibi ile iklim değişikliğini azaltma taahhütleri çerçevesinde teknolojik gelişmeler ve yeniliklerle birçok alanda değişim ve gelişim yaşanmaktadır. Otomotiv sektörü de bir dönüşüm geçirmekte ve geleneksel içten yanmalı araçlardan hibrit ve tam elektrikli araç üretimi ve kullanımına doğru geçilmektedir. İçten yanmalı araçlar ve alt sistemleri için regülasyonlar oldukça gelişmişken elektrikli araç ve alt sistemleri için regülasyonlar ve firmalar tarafından oluşturulan özel isterler oluşturulmaya, tartışılmaya ve geliştirilmeye devam etmektedir. Elektrikli araçların en önemli sistemlerinden birisi ise batarya paketleridir. Batarya paketi için mekaniksel, elektriksel, çevresel ve kimyasal gereklilikler bulunmaktadır. Bir sistem olarak batarya paketi, depoladığı enerji ve ağırlığı ile araç menzilini ve araç dinamiklerini etkilemektedir. Hafif ve kompakt bir batarya paketi, tercih edilen bir elektrikli araç oluşturmak için önemli bir parametredir. Batarya kutusu ise batarya paketinin konstrüksiyonunu oluşturur. Çevrecilik, hafiflik ve özgül dayanım açısından öne çıkan alüminyum malzemeler batarya paketlerinde kullanılmakta ve kullanımı artarak devam etmektedir. Gereklilikleri sağlayan nihai kullanılabilir ürün ortaya çıkmadan önce mühendislik problemlerinden dolayı oluşabilecek tasarım iyileştirme, prototip imalatı ve test maliyetlerini azaltmak amacıyla tasarımların sanal ortamda test edilmesini imkân sağlayan sonlu elemanlar analizleri günümüzde havacılık uzay otomotiv ve inşaat gibi birçok sektörde yaygın şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Batarya paketini koruyan ve mekanik dayanımını oluşturan üst kapak, alt kapak, iç profiller ve dış profiller batarya kutusunun temel yapısal bileşenleridir. Bu çalışmada, sonlu elemanlar analizleri ile batarya kutusunu oluşturan temel yapısal bileşenlerdeki kalınlık değişiminin mekanik dayanıma olan etkileri incelenmiş ve mekanik gereklilikleri sağlayan hafif bir batarya kutusu yaratılması amacında en uygun kalınlık değerleri belirlenmiştir. Within the framework of commitments to reduce climate change with the principle of sustainability, there are changes and developments in many areas with technological developments and innovations. The automotive industry is also undergoing a transformation and shifting from traditional internal combustion vehicles to the production and use of hybrid and full electric vehicles. While regulations for internal combustion vehicles and its subsystems are highly developed, regulations and special requirements created by companies for electric vehicles and its subsystems continue to be created, discussed, and developed. One of the most important systems of electric vehicles is battery packs. There are mechanical, electrical, environmental, and chemical requirements for the battery pack. As a system, the battery pack affects vehicle range and vehicle dynamics with the energy and weight it stores. Lightweight and compact battery pack is an important parameter for achieve an electric vehicle of choice. The battery box is the construction of the battery pack. Aluminum materials, which stand out in terms of environmentalism, lightness, and specific strength, are used in battery packs and its preferability continues to increase. Nowadays, finite element analysis, which enable designs to be tested in virtual environment in order to reduce design improvement, prototype manufacturing and test costs that may occur due to possible engineering problems before the available product that meets the requirements is produced, is widely used in many sectors such as aviation, space, automotive and construction industry. The top and bottom covers, inner and side profiles which providing mechanical strength and protect the battery pack are the basic structural components of the battery box. In this study, the effects on mechanical strength of thickness variation in the basic structural components that make up the battery box, were examined and optimal thickness values were selected to create a lightweight battery box that meets the mechanical requirements with finite element analysis. Bu tez çalışmasında tek uzuvlu esnek bir manipülatör için sistem enerjisine dayanan bir kontrolcü geliştirilmiştir. Esnek uzvun modellenmesinde Euler-Bernoulli kirişi dikkate alınmıştır. Sistemin indirgenmiş dinamik modeli ise Varsayılan Modlar Metodu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Konum ve titreşim kontrolü, sistemin tek kontrol girişi olan motor torku ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen kontrolcüde üç adet bağımsız parametre yer almaktadır. Bağımsız parametreler için uygun değerlerin belirlenmesinde Yapay Arı Kolonisi Algoritması kullanılmıştır. Algoritma ile tüm bağımsız parametreler aynı anda optimizasyon sürecine alınmış ve uygun tork değeri belirlenmiştir. Ek olarak, esnek manipülatörün farklı uç kütleye sahip olduğu durumlarda da kontrolcünün uygulanabilir olması için bir algoritma geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen kontrolcünün performans incelemesi için MATLAB yazılımında simülasyon hazırlanmıştır. Performans incelemesi, hedeflenen açısal konuma ulaşma süreleri, açısal konumda meydana gelen aşmalar, hareket sırasında meydana gelen uç nokta salınımları, açısal hız değerleri ve ihtiyaç duyulan maksimum tork değerleri üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. İlk olarak, tork ifadesinde yer alan tüm parametrelerin optimizasyonuna ilişkin sonuçlar, parametrelerin farklı kombinasyonlar ile optimize edildiği ve tüm parametrelerin uygun sabit değerlerde seçildiği durumlara ilişkin sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılmıştır. İkinci adımda, geliştirilen kontrolcü, katsayıları Yapay Arı Kolonisi Algoritması ile optimize edilmiş klasik PD kontrolcü ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Üçüncü adımda, geliştirilen kontrolcünün literatürde yer alan bir kontrolcü ile performans karşılaştırması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Dördüncü ve son adımda ise farklı uç kütle durumları için geliştirilen kontrolcünün performansının değerlendirilmesi amacı ile farklı uç kütle durumlarına ilişkin simülasyon sonuçları incelenmiştir. Geliştirilen kontrolcü ile farklı uç kütle değerleri için dahi hedeflenen açısal konuma hızlı ve düşük aşma değerleri ile ulaşılmış ve hareket sırasında meydana gelen salınım hareketleri sönümlenmiştir. Kontrolcünün farklı uç kütle durumlarında dahi başarılı bir kontrol gerçekleştirdiği, ek olarak optimizasyon sürecinde kısa döngüler sonucunda uygun parametrelerin elde edilebildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this thesis, a controller based on system energy has been developed for a single link flexible manipulator. The flexible link is considered as Euler-Bernoulli beam and its lumped dynamic model is based on Assumed Mode Method. Position and vibration control are realised with a single controller as motor torque. The controller has three parameters that must be selected. Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm is performed to obtain suitable parameter values. All three parameters are optimised simultaneously with the algorithm and the suitable torque values are achieved. In addition, to extend the controller for different payload conditions, an algorithm is developed and added to the control process. MATLAB simulations are applied to illustrate the performance of the controller. Performance investigation is carried out over settling time, overshoot percentages, tip point vibration and maximum torque values. First, results achieved with all parameter optimisation are compared with the results achieved with combined parameter optimisation and the results achieved with constant proper parameters. In the second step, results are compared with PD control which controller coefficients are also optimised with Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm. In the third step, the performance of the controller is compared with a reference method. In the last step, simulations are applied with different payload conditions to illustrate the performance of the algorithm developed for different payload conditions. Simulations show that the flexible manipulator achieves the position objective in a small amount of time without overshoot and exhibits satisfactory performance in terms of vibration suppression even with different payload conditions. In addition, Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm finds the suitable values within short cycles in the optimisation process.

Araçlarda güvenlik elemanı olarak kabul edilen ve yasal zorunluluklara tabi tutulan dış dikiz aynası; sürücünün görüş alanını arttırmasına yardımcı olmaktadır. Ancak dikiz aynasına gelen çeşitli kuvvetler (yol yükleri, aerodinamik yükler) aynada titreşime sebep olmakta ve bu titreşim, görüntü kalitesinin azalmasının yanı sıra trafikte yaya, yolcu ve sürücülerin can güvenliğinin tehlikeye atılmasına sebep olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle, dikiz aynasının modal analizinin yapılarak titreşim davranışının belirlenmesi sürüş güvenliği bakımından önemlidir.Bu çalışmada, bir binek aracı dış dikiz aynasının titreşim performansına etkiyen parametreler tespit edilmiş, sonlu elemanlar modeli oluşturularak aynanın modal analizleri yapılmış ve ilgili parametrelerin etkileri karşılaştırılarak yorumlanmıştır.Belirlenen parametreler yardımıyla plastik bir brakete sahip dış dikiz aynasının dinamik performansı, -araç imalat firmalarının beklentilerini karşılayacak şekilde- arttırılmış ve çekiç testiyle simülasyonlar doğrulanmıştır. The external side view mirror that is assumed as important safety component and is subject to legal regulations helps driver extend driver's field of view. However, various forces (road loads, aerodynamic forces, etc.) acting on the mirror causes undesired vibrations. These vibrations cause a decrease in the image quality of the mirror and life safety risk for driver, passengers and pedestrians.In this study, parameters that affect the vibration performance of the external side view mirror of an automobile were defined. To this end, modal analysis of the mirror system was carried out after a finite element model of the mirror had been built. Influence of these parameters on the mirror was comparatively studied and assessed.By the parameter that determined, dynamic performance of the external rear view mirror which has a polymer bracket was –to meet the expectations of vehicle manufacturer- increased. At the last stage, finite element simulations was validate by hammer test. 75

Bu çalışmada, Polimetil Metakrilat – PMMA malzemeden üretilmiş farklı geometriye sahip 4 adet stop lensleri ele alınmıştır. Lenslerin serbest titreşim doğal frekansları ve mod şekilleri ANSYS WB® yazılımı yardımı ile sayısal olarak incelenmiştir. Sonlu Elemanlar (SE) analizi yöntemiyle incelenen stop lenslerinin deneysel modal analiz yöntemiyle de doğal frekans, sönüm oranı ve mod şeklleri tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak analiz ve test sonuçları karşılaştırılarak Modal Güvence Matrisi (MGM) elde edilmiştir.Bu tez çalışması üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, günümüzde modal analiz yönteminin uygulama alanlarından ve bu konuda daha önce yapılan benzer çalışmalardan bahsedilmektedir. İkinci bölümde, genel hatlarıyla titreşim teorisinden ve temel terimlerinden ayrıca, modal analiz yönteminden ve kullanılan formülasyonlardan, Frekans Cevap Fonksiyonunun (FCF) özelliklerinden, deneysel modal analiz yönteminin uygulamasına yönelik kullanılan ölçüm düzeneklerinden ve ölçümler sonucunda modal parametrelerin elde edilme yöntemlerinden bahsedilmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde, stop lenslerinin dinamik karakteristiklerini belirlemek için bu yapılar üzerinden deneysel modal analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Belirlenen bir adet stop lensi üzerinde darbe çekici test yönteminin iki türü de uygulanmış ve en uygun test yöntemi belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen bu test yöntemi diğer lenslere de uygulanmış ve yapıların dinamik karakteristikleri belirlenmiştir. Yapının doğal frekanslarından yararlanarak yarım güç metodu kullanılmış ve sönüm oranları hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca PMMA malzemesi için yeni bir elastisite modülü hesaplanmış ve tekrar bilgisayar destekli sönümsüz modal analiz yapılmıştır. Son olarak analiz ve test sonuçları karşılaştırılarak MGM elde edilmiştir. In this study, 4 different pieces of automotive rear lamp lenses which are made of Polymethly Methacrylate - PMMA and have different geometries have been inspected. Free-free natural frequencies and mode shapes of lenses have been estimated by the help of ANSYS WB® Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software. Meanwhile, by the help of Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) methods; natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes of the lenses have been determined. Finally, mode shapes calculated by FE and measured by EMA were compared and Modal Assurance Criteria matrix (MAC) was determined.This thesis consists of 3 chapters. In the first chapter; application areas of the modal analysis methods today and examples of the studies done recently have been told. In the second chapter; in general, vibration theory and fundamental terms of modal analysis have been mentioned also, modal analysis methods, formulations, characteristics of Frequency Response Functions (FRF), measurement setups used on EMA methods, methods for extracting modal parameters from FRF's have been explained. In the third chapter, in order to determine the dynamic characteristics of the lenses; EMA's have been performed on these lenses. Two different methods of the `modal hammer test` have been applied on a certain lens, and based on results obtain, the most suitable test method has been chosen. This test method has been applied on remaining 3 lenses and dynamic characteristics of all lenses have been determined. At the natural frequencies of the structures, damping ratios have been calculated by the use of half power bandwidth method. In addition, a new elasticity modulus was calculated and this elasticity modulus is used as inputs for FEA. As a result, Finite Element Model has been updated then theoretical modal analysis has been performed. Finally, FEA and EMA results have been compared and MAC matrix has been found. 91

Çalışmanın amacı, bir binek araç gündüz farının Modal Parametreleri Güncellenmiş Sonlu Elemanlar Modelini (MPGSEM) ve şok testlerinden ölçülen ivme sinyallerini kullanarak sonlu eleman analizini yapmak ve elde edilen sonuçları testlerden ölçülen gerilme ve birim uzama değerleri ile karşılaştırmaktır. Diğer bir amaç ise zamana bağlı analiz sonuçları ile doğrusal bir analiz tipi olan Cevap Spektrumu (CS) analiz sonuçlarının ve analiz sürelerinin karşılaştırılmasıdır. Çalışmada bir gündüz farına SAE J577 test metodu ile mekanik şok testi ve 30 g genliğinde yarım sinüs şok testleri uygulanmıştır. İvme ölçerler ile bağlantı noktaları üzerinden ivme sinyalleri ve bağlantı braketleri üzerine bağlanan birim uzama ölçerler ile birim uzama sinyalleri ölçülmüştür. Ölçülen ivme sinyalleri MPGSEM bağlantı noktaları üzerinden gündüz farına uygulanmış ve zamana bağlı analiz yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda birim uzama ölçer bağlanan nokta üzerinden birim uzama sonuçları alınmış ve test sonucu ölçülen değerler ile karşılaştırma yapılmıştır. İvme sinyalleri üzerinden şok cevabı ivme spektrumları hesaplanmış ve CS analizi sırasında bağlantı noktalarında yük girdisi olarak kullanılmıştır. CS analiz sonuçları ve çözüm süresi, zamana bağlı analiz sonuçları ve çözüm süresi ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Main aim of this study is to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on a car Daytime Running Light (DRL) with validated system modal parameters (like damping ratio) and with measured acceleration signals during shock tests. As a result, calculated stress and strain values could be closer to real values. In addition, results and calculation time for transient analysis and Response Spectrum (RS) analysis are compared. Outcome of this comparison is to evaluate feasibility of RS calculation during design stage. In this study, SAE J577 shock and 6ms duration 30g amplitude half sine shock tests have been applied on DRL. During tests; acceleration and strain measurements have been performed. Measured acceleration signals have been applied on updated FEA model as load inputs and transient FEA has been performed. Strain results of FEA and measured strain signals during test have been compared. RS calculations have been done from measured accelerations and RS analysis has been performed. Results and calculation time of transient analysis and RS analysis have been compared.

Çalışmanın amacı bir binek araç gündüz farının modal parametrelerinin belirlenmesi ve sonlu elemanlar modelinin güncellenmesidir. Titreşen sistemlerde, Rayleigh oransal sönüm öngörüsü ile farklı doğal frekanslar için sönüm oranları tahmin edilebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada üretimde var olan bir gündüz farı üzerinde yapılan testlerle Rayleigh oransal sönüm katsayıları belirlenmiş ve sonlu elemanlar modelinde bu katsayılar kullanılarak doğrulama yapılmıştır. Böylece sonlu elemanlar dinamik yapısal analizlerinden gerçeğe daha yakın sonuçlar elde edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada rezonans tarama testleri ile belirlenen bir nokta üzerinden gündüz farının ivme frekans cevabı ölçülmüş ve bir tek serbestlik dereceli modal analiz metodu olan tepe tutma metodu ile modal parametreler belirlenmiştir. Modal parametreler belirlenirken Rayleigh oransal sönüm öngörüsüyle sönüm kütle matrisi ve katılık matrisi çarpanları (sırasıyla α ve β) hesaplanmıştır. Bu sabitler sonlu elemanlar modelinde kullanılarak harmonik ivme cevap analizi yapılmış ve test sonucu elde edilen cevap fonksiyonu ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Main aim of this study is the determination of modal parameters of a Day Time Running Light (DRL) and update of Finite Element (FEA) model. By the assumption of Rayleigh proportional damping, damping ratio for all natural modes of the structure can be anticipated with good accuracy. In this study, by performing harmonic sweep test on a real structure, Rayleigh proportional damping matrix multipliers have been determined and by application of these constants on FEA model, a validation study has been performed. As a result, it is expected to get realistic results from the vibration durability FEA’s. In this study, on a determined point of DRL housing, during resonance search test, acceleration frequency response has been measured and by the assumption of SDOF modal analysis Peak Picking Method, modal parameters of the structure have been determined. By the assumption of Rayleigh proportional damping; damping mass matrix and stiffness matrix multipliers (α and β) have been calculated. Harmonic Response FEA has been performed by the application of these constants and the result FRF has been compared with the one measured during test.

Bu tez çalışmasında makaslı tip bir kaldırma platformunun mekanik analizi incelenmiştir. Platformun kuvvet ve mukavemet analizi için MATLAB yazılımında bir kod ve ara yüz programı hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan program, platformun kaldırma yükünü ve yükselme miktarını giriş değeri alarak, hem makas uzuvlarında oluşan bağlantı kuvvetlerini, hem de silindir kuvvetini hesaplamaktadır. Program vasıtası ile ayrıca belirlenen malzeme ve kesit değerleri için mukavemet kontrolü yapılmaktadır. Hazırlanan program ile hesaplanan değerlerin doğruluğunu kontrol etmek amacı ile ANSYS programında platform modelinin analizi yapılmıştır. Hazırlanan modelin analizi ile MATLAB programının sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında oldukça yakın değerler elde edildiği görülmüştür. Hazırlanan MATLAB programı, platform için hem sanki statik hem de dinamik analiz gerçekleştirmektedir. Böylece hangi hidrolik silindir hız değerinden itibaren sanki statik çözümün yetersiz kalacağının yorumlanmasına da imkân sağlanmıştır. Oluşturulan arayüz sayesinde, gerekli makas sayısı, uzuv uzunluklarını ile hidrolik silindir kuvveti ve strok değerleri hesaplanıp sonuçları bu ara yüz üzerinden okunabilmekte; ayrıca aynı arayüz üzerinde mukavemet kontrolü sonuçları da görülebilmektedir. Böylece farklı yükseklik ve taşıma yükü özelliğine sahip platformlar için hızlı bir mekanik analiz gerçekleştirilebilmektedir. In this thesis mechanical analysis of a scissor type platform has been investigated. For computing forces on the platform and strength of the scissors arm, a MATLAB program has been designed with an interface. With this program, each forces on scissors arms and force of the hydraulic cylinder have been computed by taking weight of the load and desired maximum length of platform as the input values. Also a strength analysis has been computed by taking the material type and dimensions of the arm as the input values. For making a verification of the forces computed with program, an ANSYS analysis has been used. When the results compared, it is shown that the forces calculated by the MATLAB program are nearly the same as the analysis result of the ANSYS. With the MATLAB program both static and dynamic analyses have been made. Thus an interpretation could be made for finding the hydraulic cylinder speed which cause an inaccurate static analysis. Bye the interface of the MATLAB program, computed values which are the number of arm pair, length of the arms, hydraulic cylinder force and stoke value could be read. On the same interface the results of the strength of the scissors arm could be read. Thus a quick design and analysis could be made for different height and load needs on a platform.

Bu çalışmada yarı otomatik ve otomatik depolama sistemlerinde kullanılan ve ürün paletlerini raf hücrelerine taşıyan mekik sistemleri incelenmiştir. Mekik sistemleri, hem depo rayları üzerinde ileri-geri hareket için yürütme mekanizmasına hem de palet üzerindeki yüklerin kaldırma-indirme işlemleri için kaldırma mekanizmasına sahip olan araçlardır. Yapılan çalışmada, ilk olarak ülkemizde lisanslı olarak üretilen ve güncel olarak kullanılan bir mekik aracının yapısal davranışı incelenmiştir.Bu kapsamda mekik aracının gövdesi için sonlu elemanlar analizi yapılarak yapısal davranış incelenmiş daha sonra ise kaldırma mekanizmasının kinematik, sanki-statik ve kinetik analizleri yapılmıştır. Piyasada üretilip kullanılan mekik araçlarındaki sistem incelendikten sonra çalışma prensibi olan bir motor ile aracın depo raylarındaki kanallar içerisinde ilerlemesi, bir diğer motor ile gerçekleştirilen ve paletli ürünlerin kaldırılmasına alternatif bir sistem geliştirilmiştir. Bu alternatif sistemde tek motorla her iki işlemi yani, mekik aracının kanaldaki ilerlemesi ve paletli ürünlerin kaldırılmasını gerçekleştirecek bir sistem üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Bu yeni sistem için detaylı tasarım, imalat ve test işlemleri de gerçekleştirilmiştir. In this study, lifting mechanism of shuttle systems -which is used in automated warehouses and takes goods into rack cells-, has been examined. Shuttle systems have lifting mechanism to lift goods(pallets) and also drive mechanisms to move goods(pallets) on special rails into rack cells. First of all structural behavior has been examined. So finite element analysis of shuttle device's carcase and then kinematic, quazi-static and kinetic analysis of lifting mechanism are made here. After examination of a shuttle device which is commonly used, an alternative working solution improved to provide both different propulsions by single motor. The free vibration of beams and rods carrying concentrated (lumped) or distributed mass has been extensively investigated in detail for the last three decades. To have an idea about the subject studied in the relevant literature one can refer to the papers listed at the end of this work. Among the vast number of papers, the following can be mentioned. Chen [1] and Goel [2] studied the eigenfrequencies of beams carrying a concentrated mass. Bhat and Wagner [3], and Bhat and Kulkarni [4] obtained the natural frequencies of a cantilevered beam with a slender tip mass. They showed that the gyroscopic elect of the tip mass on the frequencies must be taken into account when its dimensions are considerable compared with those of the carrying beam. Recently, Chan and Zhang [5] studied the free vibration of a cantilever tube partially"filled with liquid, considering it as a beam with distributed mass.Chanet al. [6], and Chan and Wang [7] investigated the free vibration of simply supported and cantilever beams with distributed mass, using Euler}Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam models respectively. Chanet al. [8] treated the free vibration of a beam with two distributed masses in-span. Low [9] derived the frequency equations of a beam with a concentrated mass in-span under classical boundary conditions. Cutchins [10], Batan and Gurgöze [11]dealt with the longitudinal vibrations of rods carrying a concentrated mass. Gürgöze and Inceoglu [12] studied the axial vibration of an elastic rod with external distributed mass. However, it is observed in these works that a system consisting of a mass carried by two different beam segments has not been treated yet. In this paper, a method is presented to obtain the natural frequencies of such a system as shown in Figure 1, due to its practical importance. The general frequency equation derived in the context of this method can also be used to find the eigenfrequencies of the beams either carrying or not carrying a concentrated mass, and non-uniform, two part beams. However, one should remember that the concept of rigidity is an idealization and a theoretical assumption which will not be valid at higher frequencies any more. Therefore, in order to establish a more realistic model for such a system, the intermediate mass must be considered a highly stiff portion of the entire system instead of assuming it ideally rigid.

Hafif ticari araçlarda kullanılan dikiz aynalar dinamik ve aerodinamik yüklere maruz kalmaktadır. Bu yüklerden ötürü görüş performansını olumsuz etkileyen titreşimler doğar. Titreşimler ayna camında oluşan görüntünün net olarak algılanmamasına sebep olur ve sürüş güvenliğini tehlikeye atabilir. Bu çalışmada otomobil üreticilerinin belirlediği dış dikiz aynasının taşıması gereken mekanik titreşim kriterleri esas alınarak aynanın mekanik titreşim özelliklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Aynanın sonlu elemanlar ortamında bir modeli kurulup modal analiz uygulanarak doğal frekansları tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanında modal çekiç testleri, sarsıcı testleri, lazer testleri ile aynanın doğal frekansı ölçülerek sonlu elemanlar analiz sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmış ve böylece kurulan modelin doğruluğu kontrol edilmiştir. Kütle, elastisite modülü, yoğunluk gibi faktörlerin doğal frekanslarda nasıl bir etki oluşturduğunu anlamak üzere sonlu elemanlar programında parametrik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu verilere dayanarak muhtelif ayna prototipleri imal edilmiş ve bunlar gerek deney düzeneğinde, gerekse araç üzerinde test edilmiştir. Sonuçlar karşılaştırılmış ve yorumlanmıştır. The external mirrors which are used in light commercial vehicles are subjected to dynamic and aerodynamic loads. Due to these loads there will be certain vibrations which affect the mirrors' visual performance in an adverse manner. Vibrations cause objects in the mirror not to be seen clearly so put at risk on driving safety. This study aims to investigate mechanical characteristics of an external mirror based on the vibration standards specified by the automotive OEMs. A finite element model is developed and modal analysis is used to determine the natural frequency of an external mirror is determined. Hammer test, shaker test, laser test and road test have been performed to measure the natural frequency of the mirror and the results have been compared with the results obtained from the finite elements model analysis. Parametric studies in finite elements program have been performed to understand the effect of changes of the parameters such as mass, modulus of elasticity, density on the natural frequencies. The prototypes which have been manufactured based on the studies, have been tested both on vehicle and on test benches. The results of the tests compared and assessed. In this paper, an analytical method is presented to find the eigenfrequencies of a rectangular plate carrying a uniformly distributed mass. Using the standard Galerkin procedure, the equation of motion is reduced to a set of ordinary differential equations. From this set, the frequency equation is obtained. This polynomial equation is solved numerically. Due to the significance of the fundamental frequency of the system, its variation with respect to the non-dimensional parameters associated with the location, the area density and the distribution area of the mass attached to the plate, is investigated. Furthermore, it is shown by a numerical example that the method can be used to study plates with concentrated mass as a special case. Finally, an analysis to obtain the modal surfaces and the related nodal lines is carried out. It is demonstrated that the location of the attachment significantly affects the nodal lines, and modal interchanges may occur.
