Sunulan çalışmada, Uluslararası Doğayı Koruma Birliği’ne göre nesli tehlike altında olarak sınıflandırılan Hatay Dağ Ceylanları’ndaki (Gazella gazella) parazitlerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, Hatay Dağ Ceylanları Yaban Hayatı Geliştirme Sahası’nda, 15 tanesi 3 yaşın üstünde ve ergin kabul edilen 40 adet (30 ♀, 10 ♂) ceylanın yaşadığı arazide yapılmıştır. Ceylanların dışkılamaları takip edilerek 60 adet dışkı odağından dışkı örnekleri alınmıştır. Örneklerin her biri, Benedek sedimentasyon, Fülleborn flotasyon, Bearman-Wetzel metodları ile analiz edilerek ışık mikroskobu altında incelenmiştir. Ayrıca Hatay Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi, Yaban Hayvanı Kurtarma ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi’ne getirilen yaralı bir ceylandan toplanan Ixodid keneler stereomikroskopta teşhis edilmiştir. Dışkı örneklerinin mikroskobik muayenesinde; Nematodirus spp. (5/60, %8), Marshallagia spp. (4/60, %7), Trichostrongylus spp. yumurtalarına (3/60, %5), Dictiyocaulus filaria larvalarına (3/60, %5) ve Eimeria spp. ookistlerine (9/60, %15) rastlanmıştır. Ixodid kene örnekleri ise Rhipicephalus turanicus (2 ♀, 3 ♂) olarak teşhis edilmiştir. Bu çalışmayla Türkiye’de Hatay Dağ Ceylanları’nda parazitlerin varlığı ilk kez kayıt altına alınmıştır. Ceylanlarda paraziter kaynaklı hastalık oluşumunun önlenebilmesi için deri ve dışkı muayenelerinin yapılması gerektiği düşünülmektedir., The current study aimed to detect parasites in Hatay Mountain Gazelles (Gazella gazella), which are categorized as endangered according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The present study was conducted in Hatay Mountain Gazelle Wildlife Development Area, where 40 gazelles inhabited (30 ♀, 10 ♂), 15 of which were over three years old as well-considered adults. Fecal samples were taken from 60 fecal foci immediately after the defecation of the gazelles. Each of the fecal samples was analysed with Benedek sedimentation, Fülleborn flotation and Bearman-Wetzel methods and examined under a light microscope. In addition, Ixodid ticks were collected from an injured gazelle which was brought to Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, then were identified under the stereomicroscope. Nematodirus spp. (5/60, 8%), Marshallagia spp. (4/60, 7%), Trichostrongylus spp. (3/60, 5%) eggs, Dictiyocaulus filaria larvae (3/60, 5%) and Eimeria spp. oocysts (9/60, 15%) were determined based on the microscopic examination. Ixodid tick samples were identified as Rhipicephalus turanicus (2 ♀, 3 ♂). Thus this is the first report of the existence of parasites in Hatay Mountain Gazelles in Turkey. It is thought that skin and fecal examinations should be performed to prevent parasitic diseases in gazelles.

Bu araştırmada, başlangıç değer koşullarına bağlı pseudo-hiperbolik telegraf kısmi diferansiyel denklemi incelendi. Bu problemin tam çözümü için modifiye çift Laplace metodu verildi. Bu metot örnek problemlere uygulanarak tam çözüm elde edildi. Elde edilen bu çözüm simülasyonlarla gösterildi. Böylece modifiye çift Laplace metodunun bu problemin çözümü için elverişli ve uygun olduğu görüldü., In this study, the pseudo-hyperbolic telegraph partial differential equation depend on initial value conditions are investigated. For the exact solution of this equation, Modified double Laplace method is presented. This method is applied to the sample problem to obtain exact solution. The obtained this solution is showed by simulation. Thus, it was seen that the modified double Laplace method is convenient and suitable for the solution of this problem.

Aim: Decompressive craniectomy is one of the treatment methods that reduces mortality, when used in eligible patients for the treatment of malignant ischemic stroke (MIS). In this study, weaimed to assess the effect of age and the timing of surgery on the quality of life and on the prognosis of patients that underwent decompressive craniectomy.Material and Method: The files of 45 patients between the ages of 24-98, who were recommended decompressive craniectomy in connection with malignant ischemic stroke, were reviewed within the scope of the study. Result: 27 (60%) patients, who agreed to undergoing surgery, and 18 (40%) patients, who did not agree to undergoing surgery, were taken under review. A significant improvement (between 0 and 3) was observed in the modified Rankin Scale Scores of the two patients that underwent surgery. All the patients (n = 4) from within the group of patients that did not agree to a surgery, who lived for more than 6 months, were found to have a modified Rankin Scale Score of 5 and needed support to fulfill their daily life activities. Conclusion: It has been observed that performing a decompressive craniectomy after 72 hours following clinical deterioration and radiological shift did not have a significant effect on mortality and morbidity. Studies with larger patient groups are needed to be carried out in order to determine the applicability criteria of surgical treatment., Amaç: Dekompressif kraniektomi malign iskemik inme tedavisinde uygun hastalarda kullanıldığında mortaliteyi azaltan tedavi yöntemlerinden biridir. Çalışmamızda dekompressifkraniektomi yapılan hastalarda operasyon zamanı ve yaşın, yaşam kalitesi ve prognoz üzerine etkisinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Malign iskemik inme nedeni ile dekompressif kraniektomi önerilen 24-98 yaş aralığında, 45 hastanın dosyası incelendi. Hastalar cerrahi yapılan ve cerrahiyi kabul etmeyerek sadece konservatif tedavi uygulanan iki gruba ayrılarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Operasyonu kabul eden n=27 (%60) hasta ve operasyonu kabul etmeyen n=18 (%40) hasta incelendi. Cerrahi yapılan grupta iki hastanın modifiye Rankin Skorunda belirgin iyileşme görüldü (0-3 arasında). Cerrahiyi kabul etmeyen grupta 6 aydan uzun süre yaşayan hastaların hepsinde (n=4) modifiye Rankin Skoru: 5 olup günlük yaşam aktivitelerinde desteğe ihtiyaçları vardı.Sonuç: Klinik kötüleşme ve radyolojik olarak şift görüldükten 72 saat sonra yapılan dekompresif kraniektominin mortalite ve morbidite üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı görülmektedir. Cerrahi tedavinin uygulanabilirlik kriterlerini belirlemek için daha büyük hasta grupları ile yapılacak çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.
