The issue of open data, access, pricing and sharing has been on the "open table" for years. The business process of open data is not simple. There are pros and cons for companies, public institutions and citizens in general. On the European Union (EU) level, the Directive on open data and the re-use of public sector information, also known as the Open Data Directive, replaced the Public Sector Information (PSI) Directive. The Open Data Directive introduces the concept of six high-value datasets. One of them is geospatial data. This directive gives additional incentives to EU countries for faster implementation of open geospatial data, both in the legal and implementation frameworks. A special part of the implementation of the Open Data Directive refers to the sharing of geospatial data primarily using Geoportal's responsible institutions. It is also worth to mention that the concept of the high-value datasets is closely related with EU INSPIRE Directive which aims to establish Spatial Data Infrastructure in the EU

Modern tools for hydrological analysis are based on data derived from DEM. Hydrological methods that create a stream network by overland flow simulation require to remove depression (pit or sink) on DEM first. Depression occurs when a cell or group of cells is surrounded by adjacent cells at higher altitudes. Even though their removal creates an incorrect DEM, it is common practice to remove all topographic depressions (real, artificial, or combined) not to interrupt the creation of stream networks. There are two basic methods of depression removal: the filling method and the carving or breaching. Combined methods contain good characteristics of both procedures. GIS software includes a depression removal algorithm within its hydrological analysis module. The paper investigates which methods are implemented within individual open-source software SAGA and GRASS. A comparison of DEM before and after depression removal for each method is given. The methods were tested on a DEM, resolution 5x5 meter for a hilly area intersected by a significant number of watercourses.

Buildings and their infrastructure are one of the foundations of every civilized society for a normal and comfortable life. Since the lifespan of buildings also passes over time, they need to be maintained and after a certain time, renovation or reconstructed. Reconstruction and renovation of a building include the performance of construction and other works for the purpose of its renovation. An important step in the reconstruction and renovation is the collection of geospatial data. 3D laser scanning is an advanced geomatic technology for collecting geospatial data for the purpose of analyzing geospatial information and creating the necessary technical basis for further design work.

Građevinska i geoprostorna industrija u javnom i privatnom sektoru zahtijeva nove pristupe za postupke projektiranja, urbanističkog planiranja, upravljanja imovinom i dr., a sve u svrhu smanjenja troškova te održivog utjecaja na okoliš. Iz tog razloga potrebno je integrirano upravljanje informacijama temeljeno na standardima i jasnim smjernicama. Jedan od osnovnih pristupa k tome je razvoj i integracija BIM (Building Information Modeling - modeliranje informacija o građevini) i GIS tehnologija. Povezivanjem građevinskog i geoprostornog upravljanja informacijama moguće je poboljšanje procesa izgradnje, upravljanja imovinom, uključujući zgrade, ceste i druge važne objekte. Integracija također pomaže u stvaranju održive i fleksibilne prometne infrastrukture kao i potporu infrastrukturnim ulaganjima sa smanjenim negativnim društvenim i ekonomskim utjecajem te utjecajem na okoliš. Međutim, integracija podataka ovih sektora zahtjeva visoku razinu stručnosti obje domene. S ciljem jačanja kapaciteta u integraciji BIM-a i GIS-a pokrenut je Erasmus+ projekt BIRGIT (training on Building InfoRmation models integrated with Geographical InformaTion) Sveučilišta Sjever i ostalih partnera. Projekt ima za cilj povezati područja BIM-a i GIS-a u svrhu osposobljavanja budućih stručnjaka s potrebnim znanjima i vještinama kroz izradu novih nastavnih sadržaja u okviru preddiplomskih i diplomskih studija, te programima cjeloživotnog obrazovanja. BIRGIT projekt će trajati 3 godine u razdoblju od 01. 02. 2022. do 31. 01. 2025.god. U ovom radu su predstavljeni dosadašnji rezultati rada na projektu kao i planovi buduće implementacije.

The wide availability of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with GPS, inertial system and a digital camera makes them very affordable for many geospatial applications. Just about a decade, such applications were reserved exclusively for aerial photogrammetry. With the development and popularization of UAVs, the software was developed, that allows a very high degree of automation in the preparation of standard photogrammetric products, such as digital orthophoto (DOF) and digital terrain model (DTM). However, during imaging especially in large scales, for which the UAVs mostly are used, errors occur in the modeling of DTMs using the software, based only on use of the Structure from Motion (SFM) algorithm. This paper will explore and show unexpected (incorrect) morphometry, which appears by use of the SfM- algorithm to produce the DTM, and consequently to produce orthophotos. The images obtained by digital photogrammetric camera Vexcel UltracamD will be measured subjectively at a digital photogrammetric workstation using stereoscopy, to get the reference set of data. The second dataset will be obtained by eBee RTK UAV using the procedure and software, as proposed by producer. These two datasets will be compared, and the overall discrepancies will be calculated and presented.

Contemporary digital cameras enable automated process of creating several photos of the same frame in different exposure (bracketing). By the post processing of the photo, editing it in tone mapping, correctly illuminated parts of individual photos are merged into a new one - High Dynamic Range (HDR) image. The differences between illumination of the parts of the object in direct sunlight and the one in deep shade result in a lack of recognizable details which creates challenges in photogrammetric interpretation. The dynamic range of photo stored in RAW-format reflects the abilities of the sensor to record the intensities of light. Contemporary software packages allow manipulation in the range of illumination to create five photos with different exposure values (-1, -0.5, 0, +0.5, +1) from the single original RAW format. Photos were then merged into one HDR image with uniform illumination in all frame (subject/pattern) without any loss of quality. This method of creating pronounced real textures of the subject enables quality photo interpretation and the creation of orthophoto with significant application in 3D modeling in architecture and cultural heritage. It is also exceptionally practical in creating HDR images from photos taken by drones where there are no possibilities of taking more photos from the same observation point.

Geoinformacijske analize na velikim područjima nameću potrebu za sve većom automatizacijom ne samo u obradi, već i prilikom prikupljanja podataka. Za potrebe istraživanja primjenjivana je metoda slikovne korelacije, koja automatizira i ubrzava postupak prikupljanja rastera visinskih točaka. Podaci su prikupljeni kombinacijom dviju osnovnih metoda usklađivanja, korelacijom zasnovanom na plošnim podacima i korelacijom zasnovanom na osobinama tekstura. Na tako nastalom digitalnom modelu reljefa (DMR), za potrebe hidroloških analiza, uklonjene su depresije. Depresije na DMR-u onemogućavaju simulaciju površinskog otjecanja, a mogu biti stvarne značajke terena ili su rezultat pogrešaka tijekom uzorkovanja. Uklanjanje depresija izvedeno je dvjema osnovnim metodama implementiranim u GIS programima, metodom otjecanja (carving or breaching) i metodom popunjavanja (filling). Metode su primijenjene na tri geomorfometrijski različita područja Republike Hrvatske: planinskom masivu Biokovo, brežuljkastom području planine Papuk i ravničarskom području općine Nijemci. Slikovna korelacija izvedena je u dvije rezolucije, 5x5 i 25x25 metara. Analiza podataka obuhvatila je geomorfometrijske i kvantitativne analize, te je za svako područje preporučena metoda uklanjanja depresija koja je manje izmijenila geomorfometriju DMR-a.

U ovom projektu trebalo je skenirati i fotogrametrijski snimiti do 10 arheoloških artefakata, te izraditi njihove fotorealistične modele.

The wild fires of the vegetation are in the Mediterranean countries very frequent, the fire fighting requires extensive resources, material losses are significant and casualties of firefighters are one of the worst consequences. Due to large spatial extension, and the duration of several days, many of the vegetation wild fires are often demanding for advancement of the firefighting technology. In Croatia is the existing organization a mixture of the public professional firefighting brigades and firefighter volunteers and it can successfully cope with smaller and medium vegetation wild fires. In the case of the dynamic spreading of the fires at larger area and lasting more than day or two, these resources are not sufficient. There are several approaches how to improve efficiency of the available fire fighting resources and they are related to costly organizational changes, change of funding scheme, purchasing the new technology etc. Nevertheless, to the future of the started processes, the training of the fire fighting commanding officers and operations managers is a constant need and it is part of the normal activity. One part of the education and training not implemented yet is the training for management and commanding in larger and spatially and temporally changing fires of the vegetation, requiring more firefighters (e.g. more than 100). The vegetation fires in the year 2007. In the coastal region, especially in the Dubrovnik – Neretva County, show all deficiencies of the existing fire fighting system in the Republic of Croatia and stress the need for urgent and significant advancements.

We have used the vegetation fire growth simulation software Farsite to simulate the spatio-temporal evolution of two historical vegetation fires that occurred on the Adriatic islands of Korčula in 1998 and Lastovo in 2003. The spatial, vegetation, meteorological and agrometerological data have been obtained from various national agencies. The historical fire perimeters have been collected by firefighting commanders. By selecting the appropriate fuel models from the extended set of fuel models in Farsite, we have obtained a very good match between the simulated fire perimeters and observed ones. The sets of fire models corresponding to the Mediterranean vegetation on these two islands will be used as the starting point for the calibration of Farsite for the operational use in the Croatian firefighting organization.

Od 2. do 6. rujna 2002. u pet hrvatskih gradova, Splitu, Solinu, Trogiru, Korčuli i Dubrovniku održao se GIS forum, međunarodna konferencija pod nazivom GIS Odiseja 2002. Organizatori kongresa bili su Hrvatski Informatički Zbor – GIS forum, Geodetski fakultet iz Zagreba i Ekonomski fakultet Osijek iz Hrvatske, te Faculty of Earth Sciences (Silesia), Faculty of Organisation and Management (Silesia) i Fakultet geodezije i kartografije (Waršava) iz Poljske. Na GIS forumu sudjelovali su stručnjaci iz desetak zemalja Europe.

In 1997, started protective archaeological work and conservation works on the northern walls of Salona, the capital of the Roman province in Dalmatia. Fotogramertic images, geodetic measurement and geophysical researches were made in order to create the database with all the information about the archaeological site. Geoohysical investigations for archeological purpose have produced a series of usefull information for cultural heritage from construction intervention. The most effective strategy for geophysical prospecting is selected on the basis of the evaluated "contrast" of particular physical parameters, a type of archaeological remain, the noise from the surroundings, the surface condition, as well as the geological, pedological or modern urban composition of the terrain.

GIS, Varšava, savjetovanje, prikaz

Jedno od naših najznačajnijih starokršćanskih arheoloških nalazišta, Salona, još je uvijek nedovoljno istražena. Objedinjavanjem geodetskih, arheoloških, geoloških i urbanističkih podataka vezanih za lokalitet u jedan sveobuhvatni GIS, te analizom potreba korisnika u arheologiji, urbanizmu i prostornim planiranju i turizmu, napravljen je prvi korak ka promidžbi jednog od najznačajnijeg i najvećeg hrvatskog povijesnog lokaliteta.

Dana je vijest o održanom 19. kongresu ISPRS-a.

The basic goal of creating the Nature Park «Papuk» was to preserve this exceptionally natural locality and its further formation. In territorial terms the park would be place at the territory of seven municipalities, and its development would be based on preserving flora and fauna, especially the endemic one. Unknown archaeological value of Park with the localities dating as far as the 12th century, various sources of alternative energy, sports and leisure possibilities , and indisputable scientific attraction of the area represent the possibility for the tourism to develop with emphasised ethnological and ecological approach. Geoinformation system of the Nature Park Papuk would thus unify all known data about the given area, but also all those data can be reached only by a thorough approach.

One of the most beautiful Croatian baroque cities, Vukovar, ruined in the war in 1991. has not welcome its reconstruction not even today, after ten years. Since the majority of residential objects and cultural monuments were devastated, the reconstruction project of Vukovar demands the coordination of professions conected not only with spatial planning and urbanism, but also the professions conected with "cultural reconstraction". Newly renovated city, for the reconstruction starts really from the foundations, should provide for its inhabitants the residential objects in the first place, but also the return to the way of life that the city had before the war. Urban recostruction of Vukovar woud make the solution possible for the greatest residential problem at the moment, but also builds the fundaments for other city functions to come back, and the guidelines for it would be given by the professions connected with culture, art, tourism..

GIS enables simple browsing and finding one's way among complex data necessary for a certain project (photogrammetric, georadar, historical, geological etc.). Since the majority of monuments have become dilapidated due to small investments into their preservation and reconstruction, and during the war many were destroyed, there is a great need to unify the existent data referring to them. This GIS encompasses the historical locality Salona and it is intended for the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Monuments in Split working on its reconstruction.

On the basis of the experiences and collaboration with archaeologists and architects working on preservation and reconstruction of cultural monuments the need is being felt to unify the data from various professions. In this database there are historical, geodetic, photogrammetric, geological and other data relating to the locality Salona and enabling the examination of the existing situation and its reconstruction. Since our home and world public are not sufficiently acquained with the cultural monuments, the creation of such a database could be used as a model for presenting other archaeological localities at the territory of Croatia.

U ovome je radu opisan proces izrade kratkometražnog autorskog igranog filma „Briši moju grešku“. U filmu se radnja vrti oko glavnog lika Toma koji otkrije čarobni napitak „Đuza" koji mu omogući povratak u prošlost. Opisane su sve faze izrade, odnosno pretprodukcija, produkcija te postprodukcija. U pretprodukciji je obuhvaćeno pisanje treatmenta i sinopsisa, razrada likova, pisanje scenarija, izrada knjige snimanja te izrada financijskog plana. Faza produkcije obuhvaća snimanje filma. Film je sniman u interijerima i eksterijerima na nekoliko lokacija te je u njemu sudjelovalo nekoliko ljudi koji zajedno tvore glumačku i tehničku ekipu. Nakon produkcijske faze slijedi postprodukcija, koja je obuhvatila montažu, obradu slike i zvuka, dodavanje zvučnih i vizualnih efekata te animacija. Kada je film finaliziran potrebno ga je distribuirati na mjesta za koja je predviđen (kino, televizija, internet) te napraviti promociju kako bi došao do što većeg broja ljudi. Pokazano je da je s minimalnim brojem ljudi i malim budžetom uz puno osobnog angažmana i truda moguće producirati kratki igrani film. This paper describes the process of creating a short author's film "Delete my mistake". In the film, the plot revolves around the main character Tom, who discovers the magical potion "Đuza" that enables him to return to the past. All stages of production are described, i.e. pre-production, production and post-production. Pre-production includes writing the treatment and synopsis, developing the characters, writing the script, the creation of a shooting book and the creation of a financial plan. The production phase includes the shooting of the film. The film was shot in interiors and exteriors in several locations and several people participated in it, who together form the acting and technical crew. The production phase is followed by post-production, which included editing, image and sound processing, adding sound and visual effects and animations. When the film is finalized, it is necessary to distribute it to the places for which it is intended (cinema, television, internet) and make a promotion in order to reach as many people as possible. It has been shown that it is possible to produce a short film with a minimum number of people and a small budget, with a lot of personal involvement and effort.
