Abstract

Muhammadiyah Selayar Institute of Science and Business Technology is one of the Muhammadiyah Selayar Islands colleges that received an operational permit from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology on February 21 2022 and is located in the 3 T area (Disadvantaged, Frontier and Outermost). The main goal of communication management is the optimal utilization of human resources and technology to promote dialogue with others. This study aims to determine communication management in developing the quality of higher education at the Muhammadiyah Selayar Muhammadiyah Institute of Science and Business Technology. This study used a descriptive qualitative method by conducting indepth interviews with research informants. The results of this study indicate that, Communication Management in improving the Quality of Higher Education Institute of Technology Science and Business Muhammadiyah Selayar, Leaders and ranks carry out external and internal planning. Internal planning by using all available resources in making journals, research, community service, and forming institutions that assist in improving the quality of the Selayar Muhammadiyah Institute of Science and Business Technology such as itsbmpress, website, and activating all social media of the Institute of Science and Business Technology Selayar Muhammadiyah. Then External Planning by collaborating with other Higher Education Institutions, LLDIKTI IX, Research Institutes, Government and NonGovernment in completing facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of Higher Education Institute of Technology Science and Business Muhammadiyah Selayar. Abstract

Cetoniine species accommodated in tribe Taenioderini distributed in Sulawesi Island are studied and compared. Three new species and one subspecies flying across Sulawesi Island or its neighbouring islands are described. From Sulawesi Island, Ixorida (Aurelia) kaorui sp. nov. is described and compared with its congeners. From offshore islands of Muna and Buton, Ixorida (Oncosterna) pygmaea sp. nov. and Ixorida (Oncosterna) butona sp. nov. with its subspecies Ixorida (Oncosterna) butona munaensis ssp. nov. are described as new to science. Ixorida (Mecinonota) somarisii Schauer, 1939 stat. nov. is raised from the synonymy with Ixorida (Mecinonota) venerea J. Thomson, 1857 and it is here regarded as a good species from Selayar Island (S of Sulawesi). Rarely collected Taeniodera celebensis Krikken, 1982 currently known by single male only is photographed for the first time and a redescription of its male is given. 4. Langkah strategis pengembangan indigenous tourism: Studi kasus di Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar

Abstract

Indigenous tourism is a relatively new concept for tourism stakeholders and has not become a priority to encourage local tourism potential. The lack of information and previous study about the concept of indigenous tourism and an understanding of the concept make tourism destination focused only in promoting local culture. Therefore, this research aims to identify: 1) the potential of Bitombang and Pandai Besi village in supporting indigenous tourism in Selayar Regency; 2) strategic steps required in supporting Selayar regency through indigenous tourism concept; and 3) actions to take for stakeholders to achieve development goals and achieving balance between indigenous tourism and sustainable tourism. Approach used in this study is feature of qualitative study which able to lead researcher in understanding indigenous tourism in Selayar Regency. To gather the data, researcher conducted interview to the society, government staff, and local communities in Selayar who possess adequate comprehension about the tourism circumstances, and Selayar people sociocultural condition. There are 8 choosen informants who are originally Selayar residents. The research shows that Bitombang and Pandai Besi Old Village are important assets in supporting the development of indigenous tourism, aside from another tourism potential. Therefore, study about history and cultural value of indigenous people, procurement of local tour guide, initiation from environmental organization, and travel route map for tourist are essential. Government's role is also strongly expected to facilitate various communities to take part in the development of indigenous tourism.
