本稿は司書職の勤務経験者35名および派遣労働者4名へのインタビューの中から、雇用条件や労働条件の変化による自律性からの疎外とモチベーションについて考察した。司書の仕事は多様な利用者に臨機応変に対応する上での自律性が必要であると考えられていた。また司書は専門職としての倫理綱領や共通する理念を内面化しており、職務に対する社会的有意味感を感じていた。雇用の多様化は司書の職務を標準化するものであり、仕事の自律性が疎外される事態への不満や不安が見られた。自律性は専門職要件の一つでもあり、自律性の確保が司書のモチベーションに関与すると考えられた。, This study examines alienation from autonomy and motivations by the change in the hiring condition and the working condition of librarians through interview with 35 work experience person and 4 dispatched workers of the librarian employment. Autonomy was considered to be necessary for the librarians to take proper action on various users. They felt social, significant to the duty. The diversification of employment patterns standardized librarian＇s duty, and they feel dissatisfaction or uneasiness with the situati on to which the autonomy of work was alienated. Autonomy is one of the requirements for the profession, and securing autonomy was found to take part in librarian's motivation.
