Objective: To carry out medication education of patients by using the wechat public platform of pharmaceutical care, so as to improve patient medication compliance and promote rational use of drugs. Methods: The wechat public platform of pharmaceutical care was established to provide pharmaceutical care and carry out public medication education. Results: The contents already uploaded on the wechat public platform include: asthma medication education, drug consultation, PharmCalc, education for patients in the community, patient education articles and video, and so on. It already has over 150 followers since its establishment. Conclusion: The wechat public platform could effectively shorten the distance between pharmacists and patients, and could provide higher quality and timely pharmaceutical care of patients.
