Objective To study the difference in hemostatic material costs between different diagnostic groups in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy 3 to 5 days after routine hospitalization. Methods A total of 1385 patients with gallstones who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy from January 1, 2015 to December 30,2017 and who were hospitalized for 3 to 5 days were enrolled. The above patients were divided into 5 groups according to the type of disease diagnosis: 32 cases of gallstones (group A), 29 cases of gallstones with cholecystitis (group B), 76 cases of gallstones with acute cholecystitis (group C), 1110 cases of gallstones with chronic cholecystitis (group D), 138 cases of gallstones with acute onset of chronic cholecystitis (group E). The difference in the cost of the hemostatic material between the groups was compared. Results There was no significant difference in the cost of hemostatic material between the patients in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy between 3 and 5 days after hospitalization, the total cost of hemostasis materials and the cost of patients materials ( P > 0.05) . T h e total hospitalization cost was statistically significant except for individual items ( P < 0. 05) . Conclusion The results of the study on the cost of hemostasis in patients under going laparoscopic cholecystectomy for 3 to 5 days of hospitalization can provide an important basis for the development of the same surgical hemostatic material use criteria and the management of the use of single health hemostatic materials.
