本論文では, 宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究所と名古屋大学宇宙地球環境研究所統合データサイエンスセンターによって運営されている宇宙科学連携拠点ERG サイエンスセンターが開発・公開しているデータ解析ツールERGWAT (ERG Web Analysis Tool) のシステム概要, 提供内容, 今後の発展計画について述べる. ERGWAT は, ウェブブラウザをフロントエンドとして用い, Interactive DataLanguage (IDL)ルーチン群であるSpace Physics Environment Data Analysis Software (SPEDAS)がバックエンドで動くことで, ウェブブラウザ上の操作のみで各種データの可視化や時系列解析等を行える機能を有しており, IDL ユーザでなくても簡単に各種データの可視化や解析を行うことが可能である. 本稿執筆時点(2016 年9 月), ERGWATでは, ACE, GOES, THEMIS, Van Allen Probes などの科学衛星のデータに加え, ERG サイエンスセンターが独自に開発したIDL ルーチンにより, あけぼの衛星データ, フラックスゲート磁力計, 誘導磁力計, SuperDARNレーダー, EISCATレーダーなどの地上観測機器のデータのプロットや解析も可能である. ERGWATは, 画面に表示されたボタンやプルダウンメニューを操作するのみで, 単純な時系列プロットの作成のみならず, パワースペクトル変換やウェーブレット変換などの解析を行うことも可能である. また, ERGWAT は, プロット画像をPostscript形式で出力する機能, ERGWAT で実行した一連のコマンドをIDL の実行プログラム形式のファイルとして出力する機能も持つなど, 操作が非常に容易でありながら, 実用的な解析も可能としている. ERGWAT は, このような利便性の高さから, 太陽地球系科学におけるキャパシティビルディングへの貢献も期待されている. 今後は, IUGONETのメタデータ・データベースと連携してプロット画像とデータの詳細情報を一元的に提供することを目指すとともに, 他プロジェクトと協調しながらシステムの利便性の更なる向上を図る計画である., This paper reports the web-based interactive data analysis system ERG Web Analysis Tool (ERGWAT) developed by the ERG Science Center. The ERGWAT provides an environment for visualization of various kinds of geospace data including Akebono satellite and ground-based observations as well as simple time-series analysis. Interactive Data Language (IDL) / Space Physics Environmental Data Analysis Software (SPEDAS) is used as an engine of ERGWAT to load the data via internet and to make plots for data. All commands for ERGWAT are realized as tool bars, pull-down menus on the web browser, so that users do not have to be familiar with IDL/SPEDAS commands. The ERGWAT provides not only plots on the web browser but also postscript files that can be used for papers and presentations. It is expected that ERGWAT is a useful resource for the capacity building for solar-terrestrial physics community. In this paper we report an outline of data analysis software developed by the IUGONET (Inter-university Upper atmosphere Global Observation NETwork) project. UDAS (iUgonet Data Analysis Software) is the software to visualize and analyze the upper atmospheric data distributed by five universities/institutes (Tohoku Univ., Nagoya Univ., Kyoto Univ., Kyushu Univ., and NIPR) that belong to the IUGONET project. The UDAS is a plug-in software of TDAS (THEMIS Data Analysis Software suite) that is written in IDL (Interactive Data Language) and has many useful routines to visualize and analyze time series data. In addition, the UDAS provides the GUI (Graphical User Interface) for beginners of IDL. A beta version of the UDAS was released at the IUGONET website in May, 2011. 大学間連携プロジェクト「超高層大気長期変動の全球地上ネットワーク観測・研究」（IUGONET）では，IUGONET参加機関である東北大学，名古屋大学，京都大学，九州大学および国立極地研究所の5 機関が所有する多種多様な超高層大気データを可視化・解析できるデータ解析ソフトウェアUDAS（iUgonet Data Analysis Software）を開発している．UDAS は，IDL 言語で書かれたTHEMIS ミッションのデータ解析ソフトウェアTDAS（THEMIS Data Analysis Software suite）のプラグインソフトであり，TDAS が持つ様々な時系列データの可視化・解析ツールやGUI 機能を利用することができる．我々は，2011 年5 月よりIUGONET ウェブベージにおいてUDAS のβ バージョンの公開を開始し，2012 年2月に本公開を開始した．2012 年10 月以降には，UDAS をTDAS に組み込み，THEMIS ソフトウェアウェブサイトから公開することを計画している．UDAS を提供するにあたり，プログラムの動作確認作業を軽減するためのテストツールの開発も行った．さらに，IDL ライセンスを持たない研究者のために，IDL Virtual Machine 環境で走るTDAS の実行ファイルを開発し，テスト公開を開始した．これらの新しい展開により，UDAS 及びIUGONET 所属機関が所有する地上観測データの利用が促進されることが期待される．, In the IUGONET (Inter-university Upper atmosphere Global Observation NETwork) project, we have developed UDAS (iUgonet Data Analysis Software), which is a software to visualize and analyze various kinds of upper atmospheric data distributed by five universities/institutes (Tohoku Univ., Nagoya Univ., Kyoto Univ., Kyushu Univ., and NIPR). Automatic test tools for the UDAS programs were developed to reduce the workload for the development team. Furthermore, we built an executable file of TDAS that can run on the IDL Virtual Machine environment without any IDL licenses and released it for public testing. 超高層大気に於ける地球規模の物理現象の機構を解明する為には，様々なデータを用いた分野横断的な研究推進が重要である．インターネット上の様々なデータを直ちに取得する為の基盤が，分野横断的な研究の１つの鍵となる．IUGONET プロジェクトは，複数の研究機関によって分散管理されている，様々なデータのURL 等の所在情報等を提供可能なメタデータ・データベースを構築することによって，この課題に対処した．しかしながら，このメタデータ・データベースは広範な研究領域を対象としている為，専門分野外のユーザーにとって単語検索時における適切な検索語句の選択が容易でないことが指摘された．これを補助するべく，検索語句の関連語の取得とそれらを用いた再検索クエリ文字列の自動生成を行う為に，そのメタデータ・データベースと連想検索エンジンGETAssoc を連携させた．そして，この連想検索用の辞書を作成する為に，SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System からメタデータを抽出した．再クエリ文字列を生成する為に用意した辞書を用いることで，期待通りの連想検索結果を得ることが出来た．, In order to understand the mechanism of global-scale phenomena in the upper atmosphere, multidisciplinary researches using many kinds of data are important. An infrastructure to access to many kinds of data on the Internet is one of the keys to the multidisciplinary researches. The Inter-university Upper atmosphere Global Observation NETwork (IUGONET) project solved this problem by developing a metadata database to provide information such as URL of database or each data file, which are managed dispersively by several institutes. Because the metadata database covers a wide scientific field, it is likely that non-specialized users can not easily select a right search phrase. We connected an associative search engine which is called GETAssoc with the metadata database, in order to get the related words and to generate re-query phrases by using them automatically. We collected metadata from SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System to create the dictionary for associative search. 本論文では，大学間連携プロジェクト「超高層大気長期変動の全球地上ネットワーク観測・研究」(IUGONET) において、作成されたメタデータの受付やメタデータ・データベースへの登録を行っている「メタデータ登録・管理システム」のメタデータ登録処理に関する性能試験の結果について報告する．メタデータ登録・管理システムは，フリーのバージョン管理ソフトウェアであるGit を利用したメタデータ受付部と，そこからメタデータ・データベースへメタデータを登録するメタデータインポート部の，２つの処理部で構成される．この２つの処理部の性能を評価するために，実際に作成・登録されたメタデータを用いて，物理マシンおよび仮想マシン上に構築したLinux 環境のそれぞれについて，メタデータの処理速度を計測した．その結果，Git によるメタデータ受付部は物理マシンか仮想マシンかに依らず，メタデータ総数が500 万件レベルまで増えても数分以内で処理が完了するのに対して，メタデータインポート部は処理時間が数時間から数十時間とかなり長くなり，特に検索エンジンであるLucene のインデックス更新については，物理マシンにおける実行速度が仮想マシンのそれより約4 倍高速であることがわかった．メタデータインポート部を物理マシン上に実装した場合，メタデータ総数500 万件では，新規登録メタデータ数10 万件につき5 時間弱プラスLucene インデックス更新で21 時間ほど処理時間がかかると見積もられる．, This paper reports on the benchmark test of the metadata management system developed by the Inter-university Upper atmosphere Global Observation NETwork (IUGONET) project. The IUGONET metadata management system consists of the metadata reception module based on file repositories of Git, which is a widely-used version control software, and the metadata import module to register metadata to the metadata database using the DSpace commands. We made the performance assessments for these two modules in terms of the processing speed for registering/importing metadata both on a native Linux platform and a virtualized Linux platform. As a result, the metadata reception module processes properly even millions of registered metadata within several minutes at most, showing roughly the similar performance for the native and virtualized platform. On the other hand, the metadata import module needs much longer processing times of several to a few tens of hours for the same amount of metadata. As compared with the virtualized platform, the native platform gives a four times faster speed for updating indices for the built-in search engine based on Lucene. From a perspective of the regular operation of the metadata management system, the metadata import module runs more efficiently on the native Linux platform and it is estimated by our performance test that it takes about 5 hours to newly import 10(exp5) metadata files and subsequently takes about 21 hours to update the Lucene indices for the registered metadata of 5× 10(exp6) in total., 形態: カラー図版あり, Physical characteristics: Original contains color illustrations
