アイヌ語は文法的テンスを持たず、アスペクト形式の使用も義務的ではない。その中で助動詞a（以下a）は、過去・完了(perfect)の標識として説明されてきた。これについて筆者は吉川(2015)で、過去・完了を表さない場合にもaが使われることを指摘していたが、それがaのどのような機能によるものなのかは検討すべき課題となっていた。本稿ではまず、aが従来説明されてきたperfectではなく、perfectiveを示す性質があることを主張したうえで、アスペクチュアルな意味から離れた例外的 な用例を証拠性(evidentiality)の観点から捉え、aは直接証拠性を標示しうる形式であると提案する。また同時に、吉川(2018)を挙げ、助動詞aan（以下aan）が間接証拠性を標示しうることを述べたうえで、aおよびaanの機能の定義を試みる。 扱うアイヌ語の資料は、沙流方言、千歳方言のものとするが、先行研究はこれに限らない。用例の下線、傍点は筆者による。一部、日本語・アイヌ語表記を現在一般的に使用される表記に改変したところがある。和訳は原典のものを引用した。なお、a，aanはそれぞれrok，rokokaの形をとることがある2が、本稿 ではa，aanの形で代表させる。, In the Ainu language, which has no grammatical tense, and where the use of aspect form is not obligatory, the auxiliary verb ahas been described as a marker of past tense or perfect aspect (Kindaichi (1993[1931]), Chiri(1974[1936],1973[1942]), Tamura(1960,1988a), Sato(2006,2007,2008)). On this issue, Yoshikawa (2015) previously pointed out that the auxiliary verb ais also used in cases where it does not represent the past tense nor the perfect aspect, suggesting that it may refer to the nature of aparticular person, or to the speaker's knowledge. However, it remained to be seen what the precise function of the auxiliary verb awas that led to such expressions. In this article, I first make a claim that the aspectual function of the auxiliary verb ais perfective, not perfect. Then I proceed to the second claim that the auxiliary verb acan indicate direct evidentiality, and that the exceptional usage mentioned above of the auxiliary verb acould be explained by its evidential function. I further argue that, with reference to Yoshikawa (2018), it is not the auxiliary verb abut the auxiliary verb aanthat represents the perfect aspect, and also that the auxiliary verb aancan indicate indirect evidentiality. It is in this respect that I attempt to redefine the functions of those auxiliary verbs aand aan. The auxiliary verb amay appear in the end of a sentence with other elements such as a final particle or a connective particle, or it may be a component modification component. In the latter case, I suggest that the aspectual meaning has priority over the evidential meaning.

完了と過去の助動詞の相互承接形式において、完了の助動詞が完了から強意へと意味を変化させる事象およびその深層にある構造について考察した。結果、完了が強意へと意味を変化させるのではなく、完了と過去の意味的な齟齬を回避するために便宜的に強意としたものであった。また、その強意の本質的な意味は、生起した事象が完結したものであり、かつそれが元には戻らないという不可逆性を表すものであるとした。そして、相互承接形式の完了の助動詞は、今後可逆的に変化することはないという意味において、下接する過去の助動詞における想起の確実度を担保して強意の意味を担うようになったことを論証した。さらに、この完了の意味の中心にある不可逆性は、言語主体がいったん認知した情報を維持できるという点において自己の情報であり、そうではない情報と分節することによって、言語の深層にある自己非自己の構造と軌を一にするものであることを論じた。

Indonesian is said to be a tenseless language but with temporal and aspectual markers to exhibit its tense. The adverb ‘sudah’ and ‘telah’ are usually defined to be past tense and perfective aspect markers. The preceding literature describes the two to have exactly the similar meaning and function, and that both can be used and switched freely. The difference is that ‘sudah’ is commonly used in spoken language whilst ‘telah’ is more a written word. The purpose of this paper is to show that both adverbs are not entirely similar. While ‘sudah’ is often said to be used in spoken language, the data used show that even in novels ‘sudah’ is of more frequent occurrence compared to its counterpart. This might be caused by the dynamic change in the Indonesian language or by the unnatural translation into Indonesian.

This paper, which is based on the analysis of the Holy Bible, examines the ways in which the Latin perfect and imperfect of tango are rendered in Modern French and Modern English from an aspectual point of view. The results are as follows : in the case of the agent as its subjects, that is , its subject being an animate nourn, there are 30 past-tense forms of tango, all of which are perfect forms. In this case, the passe simple of toucher (transitive) in French and the past of touch in English respectively correspond to the perfect of tango in Latin. Therefore, it shows an action or an event ; in the case of its subject being inanimate matter, there are 9 past-tense forms of tango, (1) four of which are imperfect forms,and (2) the others are perfect forms. Cobcerning (2), it is the imparfait of toucher a (intransitive) in French that corresponds to the imperfect of tango in Latin. Therefore it shows a state of contact. The past of touch also shows a state of contact without any action in this case. Therefore, it can be said that the level of transitivity is low. Concerning (2), it is the passe compose of toucher(transitive) that corresponds to the perfect of tango in Latin. According to the definitions of toucher in Petit Robert 1, it shows an action `avec mouvement' on that occasion, Therefore, it can be said that it shows an action. Like this, it is the present perfects of touch in English that corresponds to the perfect of tango in Latin. Judging from this, it can be said that the level of transitivity is high.
