文章采用自适应均衡技术对偏振模色散（PMD）进行补偿,给出了判决反馈均衡器（DFE）结构,通过对前向均衡器（FFE）部分的改进,得到了适用于高速光纤通信系统的行波滤波器（TWF）及折叠级联的TWF结构,最后通过ADS仿真软件,得到了系统S参数仿真结果。

文章分析了影响光纤通信系统性能的主要因素,介绍了在理论分析的基础上建立的单模光纤信道仿真模型;还介绍了判决反馈均衡器（DFE）的基本结构和最小均方（LMS）误差算法,并用MATLAB软件仿真了采用LMS算法对10 Gbit/s光纤信道进行自适应均衡的性能。仿真结果表明,LMS算法简单、高效,能有效消除光纤色散和偏振模色散（PMD）引起的码间干扰,比较适合对均衡速度要求较高的光纤通信系统。

随着光纤信道传输速率的提升,偏振模色散（PMD）成为了限制光纤通信系统传输距离的主要因素,电域补偿技术是解决方案之一,但它又受到硬件实现复杂度及运算速度的限制。文章将并行处理技术及块最小均方（BLMS）算法应用到PMD补偿技术中,为电域补偿技术在高速通信系统中的应用提供了一条新的途径。
