「砂場」は、子どもの成長と発達に影響を与える重要な遊具である。だが、現代日本ではその評価が低く、特に公園における砂場の設置率は5割を切っている。また保育・教育の分野においても必ずしも良好な環境とはいえないところが多い。本研究では、このような砂場問題の根本的な原因のひとつとして「砂」の不適切性を指摘し、「適切な砂」の基準仮説を示すとともに、その検証を試みて砂場環境改善の方向性と意義を論じた。, 研究ノート(博士資格論文)(Note(Doctoral qualification thesis))

2014年に実践した「一粒のカカオから」と題した博学連携教員ワークショップをふりかえり，その内容を紹介するとともに，改善点や意義について考察した。2008年と2009年に行ったチョコレートを素材としたワークショップと異なる点は，焙煎したカカオ豆をすりつぶして香りや苦みを味わう体験から始めたこと，また，常設展示場に足を運び，サトウキビの圧搾機を前に，三角貿易の歴史から現在につながる南北問題の原因を考えようとしたことの2 点である。さらに鈴木紀をリソースパーソンに，フェアトレードについて理解を深めることとした。

In order to find that the text of school textbookscan affect the undergraduate students’ in termsof the origin cognition of river sands, the authorscarried out the questionnaire research. The resultsuggests that it may be enhanced the inappropriatetheory by reading the inaccurate texts. Hence, thestudents who read the accurate texts would notchange their cognition about formation of sands.

教科書説明文は児童の河川砂成因認識に影響を与えうるのか明らかにするために、秋田県内の5年生および6年生児童を対象に2種の質問紙調査を行ったところ、以下のことが明らかになった。「流水の働き」を学習前の5年生児童は、河川砂の成因について多様な素朴理論を持っていた。理科教科書から抽出した流水の働きについて2種の説明文のいずれかを読ませた後の反応は、説明文の内容によって異なった。砂の成因については記されていないが、児童が有する素朴理論と表面的に共通するような記述が説明文中に見いだせる場合、その記述と一致する砂の成因説を児童の多くは支持した。一方。礫の粒径変化について記述した説明文を読んだ場合、上記の反応に加え、礫の粒径変化プロセスを砂の形成プロセスに適用するような理論を児童は採用した。6年生児童の多くは、これらのような説明文を読んでも認識は変化しなかったが、礫の粒径変化プロセスを砂の形成プロセスに適用する児童が一部に見られた。本調査結果は、｢流水の働き｣における礫の変化についての教科書の記述が、砂の形成についての素朴理論を強化したり、不適切な理論を誘導したりする可能性があることを示唆している。, The authors carried out the questionnaire survey to primary school students to find whether description on running water process in textbooks can affect students' cognition about formation of sands in alluvial deposits in a river．We found that the 5th grade students before studying running water process can be affected by description on size change of gravels by running water. Hence, some 6th grade students changed their cognition of sand formation theory when the statements related to change of gravels would be acceptable by the students.

砂の力学モデルとしてのひずみ空間多重せん断モデルは，これまで，地盤の液状化を含む地震時の地盤構造物系の解析や被害程度予測に広く用いられてきている。これに対して，本研究では，粘土地盤の圧密解析を対象として，同モデルの適用性を検討した。地盤材料の構成モデルにおいては，砂と粘土の力学挙動における基本的な相違は，体積弾性係数の拘束圧依存性の指数，および，限界状態(砂の場合のSteady State)の定式化，の2点である。本研究では，これらの点を考慮した上で，同モデルにより粘土地盤の圧密解析を行い，その基本的な適用性を確認した。, The strain space multiple mechanism model has been widely applied for earthquake response analysis of soil-structure systems, including liquefaction. Herein, the applicability of this model to the analysis of consolidation of clayey ground is studied. Primary difference in sand and clay is represented by the power index of confining pressure for tangential stiffness and the formulation of critical state (i.e. steady state in sand). The model is applied for consolidation of a clayey ground by setting the power index equal to unity with Shibata's (1963) dilatancy model for clay. The results indicate reasonable applicability of this model to consolidation analysis of clayey ground.

河川堆積物中にみられる砂の成因に関する児童の認識が，河川や露頭での野外学習前後において変化するのかどうかを検討した. 本研究では，小学校４年生の河川の自然体験学習，５年生理科の「流れる水の働き」についての野外学習，６年生理科の「大地のつくりと変化」についての野外学習への参加児童を対象にしたアンケート調査を学習の前後で行い，砂の形成過程について回答させた.野外学習前アンケートでは，４～６年生には素朴概念である「衝突型」回答や成因について触れない「運搬・堆積型」回答などがみられた．４，５年生の野外学習後の調査では，回答傾向に特に変化は見いだせなかった．６年生は野外学習の後で「摩耗型」回答をする児童の割合が増加した．これは，観察の時にハンマーを持たせておらず，石同士をぶつけて石を割らせた体験を，砂の形成認識に適用した可能性がある．学習で石を扱う体験が砂の形成について誤概念を誘導したと考えられる．, The authors carried out a study on convert of the elementary school students’ idea about formation of river sand grain. In the study, we conducted a questionnaire investigation that completed by the students. Concerning the formation of river sand, the answers are divided into “Collision Type”, “Transportation and Deposit Type” and etc. We can’t find any mood shift of between the students’ response before and after the field study. Hence, many students who experienced broken rocks had converted their idea to “Abrasion Type”.

本研究では，砂のような粒状体の力学モデルとしてのひずみ空間での多重せん断モデルを基に，大変形解析(有限ひずみ解析)に必要なTotal Lagrangian(TL法)法，および，Updated Langrangian法(UP法)の両者による定式化を示す。大変形解析に必要な定式化においては，圧縮性を考慮した超弾性体の大変形解析理論を基に，これに，多重せん断機構および非線形性(カップリング項としてのダイレイタンシを含む)を盛り込んだ定式化を示す。, Finite strain (large deformation) formulation is presented for a multiple mechanism model for idealizing the behavior of sand. The model is capable of representing non-linear behavior of sand under transient and cyclic loading, including the phenomenon of liquefaction. In the finite strain formulation, isotropic and isochoric components will be separated based on the approach adopted for hyper-elastic materials.

地域に目を向け,地域に特有な地質・気象・天文の事象を活用したカリキュラム開発・教材化・実践を展開するため,千葉大学地球科学教育研究会を発足した。その活動の一貫として開催した「地球探検隊」について報告する。「地球探検隊」の活動では,地球の恵みを知るために,千葉県内のいくつかの特徴的な場所における野外活動を行いながら,体系的に地学学習における基本概念である,空間認識と時間認識を育てるとともに,次世代を生きるための知的好奇心の育成を図る,教材化を試みた。さらに,この活動の背景には,小学校や中学校では実施が難しい野外活動を大学との連携により可能にした新しい教育活動の方向性を示すものでもある。, We organized The Earth Exploration Party for the children. This organization turns an eye to the area, and makes use of the matter, which is characteristic of the area for the education. We planned some activities to know the blessing of the earth. We connected some characteristic places inside Chiba Prefecture, and became subjects systematically for the children. These activities will be continued from now on, too. We want to tie an area to the university by these activities.

一面せん断試験の供試体とせん断箱内壁の周面摩擦の影響を調べために,せん断面上の垂直応力が測定できるように改良した一面せん断試験装置を用いて砂について定圧試験および定体積試験を実施した。また,改良前の在来型試験結果との比較により,せん断強度に及ぼす周面摩擦力の影響について調べた。さらに,定圧試験による内部摩擦角と三軸圧縮試験による結果と比較して一面せん断試験結果の評価を行った。得られた主な結果を以下に示す。1)せん断箱内壁と供試体との周面摩擦力は,圧密過程およびせん断過程において体積変化に伴って発生し,せん断面上の垂直応力に反映されている。2)周面摩擦力は,垂直応力に直接関与することから,せん断強度の決定にはせん断面上の垂直応力を用いる必要がある。3)定体積試験ではせん断面上の垂直応力で整理した破壊線は定圧試験による破壊線とほぼ一致する。4)定圧試験によって得られた強度定数は,三軸圧縮試験による結果とほぼ同程度である。, It is known that a skin friction between specimen and shear box wall in a conventional direct shear box apparatus affects the normal stress on the shear surface. To eliminate the effect of the skin friction on normal stress on shear surface, the conventional Mikasa's direct shear apparatus is improved to be able to measure the normal stress on shear surface. In this paper, to investigate the effect of the skin friction on the shear strength, constant pressure tests and constant volume tests are carried out on sands using the improved direct shear apparatus. Test results show that the skin friction between specimen and shear box wall influences the shear strength obtained from a conventional direct shear apparatus. It is necessary to determine the shear strength with normal stress on shear surface in both a constant pressure test and a constant volume test. The shear strength obtained from constant pressure test using the improved direct shear apparatus is consistent to those of the triaxial compression test., 紀要論文

千葉大学教育学部附属小学校の5・6年生を対象にした地学および環境に関連した授業の実例を紹介する。テレビや新聞等から入ってくる科学用語は子ども達に必ずしも正しく理解されてはいない。授業過程において正しく理解させるための工夫が必要である。また, 見通しをもって観察や実験などを行うことは, 問題解決能力を養うことに大きく寄与する。簡便な堆積実験を通し, 砂や泥が水中に堆積することを観察することによって大地のつくりに関心を抱き, 大地の広がりに時間と空間を越えた興味を抱くようにさせたい。これらの実験は, 子ども達の興味関心をよびおこして多面的な考え方を導き出すであろう。, Classes on geology and environment were conducted for the 5th and 6th graders at the Attached Elementary School of Education Department of Chiba University. The report further explains about these classes. Scientific terms that school children acquire from mass media such as TV and newspapers are not always perceived correctly. It is imperative that ways of teaching these subjects be devised. If observation and experiments based on hypothesis are encouraged in classes, it would greatly help pupils develop their problem solving ability. 0ur goal is to assist school children to become interested in the origin and structure of the earth by employing easy methods for experiments. For instance, through a simple sedimentary experiment, they learn how sand and mud accumulate under the water. Hands-on experiments like this will surely entice children's interests as well as versatile ideas toward geology that extends beyond time and space.

さんご礁におけるさんご砂やさんご礁からなる堆積物の透水係数とそれに及ぼす間隙比,粒度,礫含有量,粒径,75μm以下粒径含有量等の影響を検討した。主な結論は次のようである。1) 透水係数(K)は間隙比(e)に支配され,ln(K)とeの間に線形関係が認められる。2) さんご砂では礫含有量の増加に伴って透水係数が増大し,礫混じりさんご砂の透水係数は礫含有量の影響が大きい。3) 一方,同じ礫含有量のさんご砂においては透水係数に及ぼす礫の粒径の大きさの影響は小さい。4) さんご砂の透水係数はシルト以下の細粒分の含有量による影響が大きい。5) さんご砂礫層の透水係数は堆積物を構成する粒子の有効径から推定できる。6) さんご砂礫層の透水係数は,粒径75μm以下の含有量が5%以上であれば(10)^cm/sのオーダの範囲にある。, Calcareous sediments consist of such bioclsatic as coral, shell and foraminifera, which have calcareous skeleton. A series of permeability tests has been performed on reconstituted calcareous sands with various grading curves to clarify the effects of grain size, content of gravelly component and fine fraction smaller than 75μm on the coefficient of permeability. Major conclusions obtained in this study are as follows. (1) There exists a liner relation in the relationship between the logarithm of the coefficent of permeability and void ratio ratio for individual grading curves. (2) The equivalent coefficient of permeability in a give void ratio increases as the content of gravelly component increases. (3) On the other hand the coefficient of permeability decreases with the increasing in the fine fraction smaller than 75μm. (4) Based on characteristics of gradation the coefficient of permeability of calcareous sediments can be estimated to be within the range of (10)^cm/s. 砂と鋼材との摩擦特性に及ぼす粒径と程度の影響を明らかにするために,一面せん断試験装置を用いて種々の粒径のガラスビーズおよび豊浦砂と鋼材の程度を変えた摩擦試験を実施した.得られた主な結果を以下に示す.1)砂と鋼材の摩擦力は,粒径と程度の両方の影響を受けており程度と粒径の比であるR_/D_に大きく依存している.2)砂と鋼材の摩擦角は, R_/D_が増加するとともに増大するがR_/D_=0.4以上ではほぼ一定値を示す.3)そのときの鋼材との摩擦角は,砂のピーク時の内部摩擦角ではなく限界状態の内部摩擦角に対応している., In this paper the relationship between particle size and roughness of steel was examined in order to clarify the sand-steel interface behavior. The friction tests were carried out on steel plates and glass beads. It was found that R_/D_, a ratio of particle size (D_) and roughness (R_) of steel, had significant influence on the friction angle of steel-glass bead. Friction angle increases in the increasing Rmax/Dso and is remained to constant value in the range of R_/D_>0.4. Friction angle of sand-steel in the range of Rmax/D5o>0.4 coincides with the internal friction angle of sand in critical state., 紀要論文

細粒分含有量5∿84%のさんご礁堆積物について変水位透水試験を実施し, 透水係数に及ぼす細粒分含有量の影響について検討した。主な結果は次のようである。1) 細粒分含有量20%以上においては細粒分含有量と平均粒径との間に相関性が認められる。2) 透水係数の対数(In k)と間隙比eの間には線形関係が認められ, その傾きは細粒分含有量の増加にともなって増大する。3) 細粒分含有量20%以上では透水係数は(10)^∿(10)^(cm/s)のオーダーにある。4) 細粒分含有量が増加すると, 透水係数kはe^3/(1+e)と比例関係が成立しなくなる。5) 透水係数は細粒分含有量の増加にともなって減少する。6) さんご礁堆積物の透水係数は細粒分含有量から推定可能である。, A series of variable-head permeability tests has been performed on reconstituted carbonate sand with various fraction finer than 75μm. Major conclusions obtained in this study are as follows. (1) There exists a liner relation in the relationship between the logarithm of the coefficient of permeability and void ratio for individual fraction content. (2) The value of permeability ranges between (10)^3cm/s and (10)^4cm/s for sands contained fraction more than 20%. (3) The relationship between the coefficient of permeability k and the content of fraction is derived in a given void ratio based on the liner relation for ln k versus void ratio e. We tried the separations of magnetic sands, from its gangue materials with wilfley table andmagnetic separator. Magneting them electrostatically before magnetic separation was gainedgood results compared with another test. Iron content was determined by photo-electric spectrophotometer., 砂鉄と砂との選別は，極めて古くから広く用いられているが，何等それについての報告も無く，単に経験的にやって居るに過ぎず，然も難かしいものであるから仲々良い収率は得られない。現在の様に，砂鉄の使用量が増えたので，その選別について，充分研究を行なわねばならない様になった。本実験は，飯岡砂鉄の原砂を，ウイルフレーテーブル及び磁選機を用い，又静電磁化して磁選も行って見たものであって，各現場で磁選は広く使われているが，大多数は磁性物だけを取って，後は残している様な状態で砂と砂鉄をよく分けるという事は，資源活用の面から必要な事であると考えられる。
