- Abstract
The research and development of high-strength and high-toughness metal coordination hydrogels (MC-HG) for flexible electronic sensing has become an international frontier in the field of advanced functional polymer materials, which has wide application significance and important scientific value. However, the traditional soaking method is difficult to control the permeation and combination of metal ions, resulting in weak mechanical properties. In this paper, a screening strategy based on sodium acetate (SA) was proposed to promote the metal complex permeation first and then combination with functional ligands, thus obtaining a homogeneous metal coordination hydrogel (Fe-HGSA), whose breaking strength and toughness (1. 546 MPa/2. 139 MJ/m³) were much higher than those of traditional soaking method (0. 832 MPa/0. 919 MJ/m³) and common aqueous solution rearrangement method (1. 126 MPa/1. 352 MJ/m³). Due to its excellent mechanical properties and good electrical conductivity, Fe-HGSA has potential applications in the field of flexible force sensors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
