Objective To understand and analyze the medication rule among the outpatients with dissociative[conversion] disorders. Methods The information in 174 cases of clinically diagnosed as dissociative[conversion] disorders(ICD 10 coding F44) was collected from the hospital information system (HIS) database in a psychiatric hospital from July 22, 2018 to July 22, 2019 and their situation such as medication, drug category, dose, frequency and combined medication was statistically analyzed. Results Of 174 cases, 164 cases(94.25%) were females, 85 cases(48.85%) were 35-55 years old, its proportion was the highest. One hundred and fifty six cases (89.66%) received the medication treatment, among them, the top three of use frequencies were magnesium valproate [55(35.26%)], olanzapine [53(33.97%)] and quetiapine [36(23.08%)]. Based on the pharmacological property, the top three of use frequency were antipsychotics in 132 cases(84.62%), sedative hypnotics and antianxietics in 77 cases(49.36%) and mood stabilizers in 69 cases(44.23%). The combined use frequency of antipsychotic drugs and mood stabilizers was the highest and the top three combinations of combined frequency were valproate + quetiapine, valproate + olanzapine and valproate + risper idone. Conclusion The drugs for treating dissociative[conversion] disorders are dominated by the antipsychotic drugs. The combination use of antipsychotics and mood stabilizers is common.
