The article analyses the practical feasibility of building an architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia and identifies the main factors obstructing the realisation of this goal. The analysis is based on the results of the All-Russian Winter Online School “International Conflicts and Global Security”, which was held from 4 to 6 February 2024 at the North-West Institute of Management – branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.Aim. To identify and summarise the empirical and theoretical limitations of the concept of indivisible security in the context of building an inclusive and sustainable security architecture in Eurasia.Methods. The methods of scientific discussion followed by theoretical analysis of the materials of the All-Russian Winter Online School “International Conflicts and Global Security” were applied.Results. In the course of the study it became possible to identify several promising directions of Russian scientific discussion on equal and indivisible security in Eurasia. First, the study of global factors, such as the dynamics and characteristics of contemporary international conflicts, as well as the role and impact of new technologies on society and interstate relations. Second, discussing the possibilities and prospects for Russia’s co-operation with the states of Eurasia and other continents within the framework of a more inclusive Greater Eurasian Partnership.Conclusions. The study shows that the formation of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia is hampered by a number of empirical and theoretical limitations. Empirical difficulties include the continuing growth of conflicts in the world, dynamic events, the absence of a world order, the prevalence of competing interests and fundamental differences between the approaches of European and Eurasian powers to building a new world order. A kind of “black swan” is digital technologies, which can both increase the efficiency of public administration and generate more rigid forms of social control and reproduce insecurity. The theoretical limitations include the contradiction between the universalist nature of the concept of indivisible security and the idea of its local application, i.e. in the Eurasian space. The state-centrism of the concept, as well as the difficulty of implementing indivisible security in the absence of “indivisible justice” in the relations of sovereign states are also significant difficulties. The authors of the article conclude that despite these shortcomings, this concept has practical potential and is one of the promising projects for building a new world order.

The relevance of the study is driven by the rapid increase in the number of small domestic animals with surgical pathology of the digestive system, requiring effective diagnosis and surgical intervention. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence of various diseases of the digestive organs in small domestic animals and to determine the most informative methods of their diagnosis. The primary approach in the study is to compare the informativeness of results obtained from examining sick animals, including general (history collection, examination, palpation) and special (ultrasound diagnostics of abdominal organs, endoscopy of the digestive tract, radiography) diagnostic methods. The advantages and disadvantages of different special diagnostic methods were identified and analysed, providing a comprehensive assessment of indications and contraindications for their application in clinical veterinary practice. Out of 1863 animals that presented to the veterinary clinic, pathologies of the digestive tract of various origins were diagnosed in 957 animals. Conservative care was provided to 79.7% of the affected animals (763 individuals). Complicated pathologies requiring surgical treatment were diagnosed in 194 (20.3%) animals. Among these, 170 (17.7%) had foreign bodies in the stomach, 14 (1.5%) had gastric erosions, 4 (0.4%) had neoplasms, 3 (0.3%) had perforations, and 3 (0.3%) had inflammatory diseases. The use of ultrasound diagnostics allowed for the detection of linear foreign bodies in the stomach and the identification of associated complications such as stomach or intestinal perforations caused by foreign bodies. Radiographic examination proved effective when radiopaque structures (metals, stones, bones) were present as foreign bodies. The materials of the study provide practical value for both researchers and practising veterinarians, offering the opportunity to utilise new instrumental diagnostic methods to assess the feasibility of surgical manipulations on the stomach and intestines in dogs and cats

The article is devoted to the analysis of the process of the mediatization of Orthodoxy. The mediatization of Orthodoxy is a new and relevant process that requires a revision of methodology and research tools in the humanities, namely in religious studies. Despite the ongoing revision of methodology and change of research focus, the mediatization of Orthodoxy remains a little-studied phenomenon with new trends emerging and the volume of research material is constantly increasing. Whilst more works on the topic are being published, as yet, they have not been systematized and clustered. This study is devoted to filling that gap. The aim of the article is to systematize Russian and foreign studies of the niche of mediatized Orthodoxy, which has formed over the past three decades. The study solves several problems: 1) to identify relevant works and define the current academic thought on theoretical conceptualization of the mediatization of religion; 2) to propose the author’s classification of thematic areas of research on the mediatization of Russian Orthodoxy, substantiate the potential and limitations of such classification; 3) to identify main directions of the interpretation of the process of the mediatization based on the description of the dynamics of the process; 4) specify commonalities and differences in the description of the stages and substantial components of the mediatization of Orthodoxy from the perspective of the existing approaches; 5) to investigate the research field of the mediatization of Orthodoxy using examples of mediatized Orthodox practices. The material used for the study was theoretical and empirical research, by both domestic and foreign authors, devoted to the mediatization of Orthodoxy and were created over the past fifteen years, starting with the appearance of the first work on the topic of digital Orthodoxy in 2009. The research methods included secondary analysis which resulted in the author’s classification of approaches to the interpretation of the mediatization of Orthodoxy; thematic and conceptual analysis, which enabled an attempt to give original theoretical and conceptual understanding of the process of mediatization of Orthodoxy, and to substantiate the identified stages of this process and its components. The author concludes that an independent Orthodox media niche formed fifteen years ago which now sees a quantitative and qualitative increase in the number of publications devoted to the mediatization of Orthodoxy. Research of the phenomenon comprises macro and micro levels: theoretical conceptualization of the process and local mediatization of communicative practices of dioceses, catechists and preachers, respectively. Including research into the study of mediatization of Orthodoxy and the new media, and the study of the mediatization of Orthodox conservatism. The dramatic development of the theory of mediatization of religion demonstrates the inconsistency of the dominant concept of secularization and requires further research.

The article is based on the results of a large research project “State and Religion in the North-West: a sociological analysis”, which was conducted by the RANEPA in 2020, and was aimed at developing and implementing an interdisciplinary methodology for analyzing the religious situation in the Northwest Federal District. The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between the state and religious institutions in 5 regions of the Federal District. The article presents theoretical developments in the perspective of modern state-confessional relations, the study of the mediatization of religion, concludes about the multi-tiered structure of modern communication between the state and religious organizations on the Internet, as well as about the significance of the symbol and religious holiday in the public public sphere. The methods of empirical research were content analysis and expert interviews with an emphasis on both different regions and a combination of factors throughout the North-Western Federal District as a whole. The results of the study show that there is a strong interrelationship between social and religious processes in the subjects of the federation. But there are some regional differences, first of all in the role of media in different regions.

The purpose of the research is to analyze the correlation between the process of mediatization of religion and the modern Orthodox fundamentalist discourse, which is a specific phenomenon in-between political ideology and the religious system. In the article, Orthodox fundamentalism is considered as a new phenomenon that emerged as a response to the massive changes in modernity in 20th and 21st centuries. The technological progress and digitalization processes bring new aspects to everyday life and cause change in the existing religiosity. The novelties result in the integration of new mechanisms into the traditional functioning of religious organizations, social movements and ideologies. However, the very concept of mediatization is relatively new to science and has not been fully formed yet. At this stage religious institutions in Russia continue their development as full-fledged public institutions after the long period of state atheism in the USSR. The author points out the formats and forms of interaction in the media of official religious institutions and organizations, as well as informal and marginal associations. Special attention is paid to the unique nature of the new religious media and functioning of religion in the media. The empirical part of this study is based on the qualitative and quantitative content analysis of the four Orthodox media outlets. This analysis is aimed at classifying and clustering the main types of content and thematic blocks in the analyzed media. This approach has a number of advantages, because it allows us to understand the attitude of people to certain topics, images or events. The discourse of the selected four media has partial fundamentalist tendencies. The main variables of the study are such variables as the volume of the audience, the number of published posts, “like” marks, reposts from the group for the specified period, the most popular posts by views, the most popular topics by ratings. The author also describes and conceptualizes the basic concepts inherent in the religious conflict in the media about religious values, their relationship with secular ones. Orthodox religious media in Russia vary in their media outreach and identification of their core audience. It is concluded that for Orthodox fundamentalist media, the most important part is not religious, but socio-political.

The paper addresses the issue of attitudes to religion and, in particular, to Russian Orthodoxy, of the Russian youth with the focus on the effects of secular and religious mass media. Both religion and media are integral parts of social interaction, with mediatization taking shape challenging Orthodox media. The research used qualitative survey methodology to grasp students’ attitudes. It showed that the informative activities of Russian Orthodox media have an insignificant effect. The main sources from which the youth gets specific information about the church are federal and regional media. But it would be too preliminary to conclude that student youth is a lost generation for the Russian Orthodox Church, as only a tiny fraction of young people call themselves Orthodox. This implies that not only the mediatization, but rather atheism or not-observance plays a major role in student indifference. A content analysis of top local media outlets of Saint Petersburg on the issue of the church activities coverage shows that providing news and information is one-sided and weak in secular media. The distorted image of the Russian Orthodox Church in secular media pushes the youth away from confessional media. Thus, the youth remains doubtful when the latter is concerned, and are trapped in secular media bias.

Abstract Small perturbative fields in a synchrotron influence both the spin and orbital motion of a stored beam. Their effect on the beam polarization consists of two contributions, a direct kick and an effect of the ring lattice due to orbit perturbation. Spin response function is an analytic technique to account for both contributions. We develop such a technique for the spin-transparent synchrotrons where the design spin motion is degenerate. Several perspective applications are illustrated or discussed. In particular, we consider the questions of the influence of lattice imperfections on the spin dynamics and spin manipulation during an experiment. The presented results are of a direct relevance to NICA (JINR), RHIC (BNL), EIC (BNL) and other existing and future colliders when they arranged with polarization control in the spin-transparent mode.

Abstract The rate of inelastic nuclear interactions in a short bent silicon crystal was precisely measured for the first time using a 180 GeV/c positive hadron beam produced in the North Experimental Area of the CERN SPS. An angular asymmetry dependence on the crystal orientation in the vicinity of the planar channeling minimum has been observed. For the inspected crystal, this probability is about $$\sim 20\%$$ ∼20% larger than in the amorphous case because of the atomic density increase along the particle trajectories in the angular range of volume reflection, whose dimension is determined by the crystal bending angle. Instead, for the opposite angular orientation with respect to the planar channeling, there is a smaller probability excess of $$\sim 4\%$$ ∼4% .

A purpose of the article is to analyse the correlation between congratulations on the occasion of two holidays that construct the political myth of contemporary Russia: Orthodox Easter (as the most popular religious holiday) and Victory Day (as the most significant civil secular holiday). As an object for the analysis were chosen diverse media of state, municipal and political subjects of St. Petersburg as one of the largest and most important cities of the Russian Federation with a strong interfaith dialogue tradition. In Max Weber’s classification, a congratulation is considered to be a value-rational social action, whose aim is to legitimise social events. For the research, the qualitative content analysis approach was used. Its object is media publications of the official authorities published at the period from 20.04.2019 to 20.05.2019 and dedicated to the celebration of the Orthodox Easter or the Victory Day. The total sample consisted of 343 sources. As a result of the study, it was found out that in 2019 by means of media political, municipal and state subjects were inclined to congratulate the audience with a secular holiday (Victory Day, a celebration of which is presented in all the analysed political subjects that have media), however, both holidays are of paramount importance in the media space. This situation can be interpreted in terms of the broader scope and consolidating potential of the Victory Day holiday, which is based on a significance close to representatives of all religions and confessions of Russia, as well as the grandeur of the great Patriotic war itself, which affected almost all residents of the former USSR, and, as a consequence, is perceived by modern citizens closer than a Church holiday.

Abstract Beam steering performance of bent silicon crystals irradiated with high-intensity and high-energy protons has been studied. In particular, crystals of the type used for collimation and extraction purposes in the Large Hadron Collider and the Super Proton Synchrotron at CERN have been irradiated at the HiRadMat CERN facility with $$2.5 \times 10^{13}$$ 2.5×1013 440 GeV/c protons, with a pulse length of 7.2 $$\upmu $$ μ s. The purpose is to study possible changes in bending angle and channeling efficiency due to thermo-mechanical stresses in case of accidental irradiation during accelerator operations. A comparison between measurements performed before and after the irradiation does not show any appreciable performance reduction in either crystal.

Abstract We review the physics opportunities of the Future Circular Collider, covering its e+e-, pp, ep and heavy ion programmes. We describe the measurement capabilities of each FCC component, addressing the study of electroweak, Higgs and strong interactions, the top quark and flavour, as well as phenomena beyond the Standard Model. We highlight the synergy and complementarity of the different colliders, which will contribute to a uniquely coherent and ambitious research programme, providing an unmatchable combination of precision and sensitivity to new physics.

У статті методом історико-наукового аналізу досліджено розвиток буряківництва України часів колгоспної дослідної справи (1930-х–1950- х рр.). Встановлено, що досягнення відбувалися на колективній основі відповідно до виконання урядових рішень, поставлених перед сільським населенням. Визначено, що діяльність у колгоспах здійснювалася на чолі з агрономічними організаціями на селі у вигляді хат-лабораторій, потім будинків сільськогосподарської культури та колгоспних дослідних станцій як провідників колективного дослідництва. З’ясовано, що дослідження з агротехніки вирощування цукрових буряків проводилися на найрозповсюдженіших ґрунтах у бурякосійних районах України – чорноземах. Ці наукові дослідження виконувалися під керівництвом науково-дослідних інститутів та станцій з питань агротехніки вирощування, селекції, динаміки культивування цукрових буряків для забезпечення цукрового виробництва в Україні та вирішення кормової проблеми у тваринництві. Також запроваджувалися сівозміни – плани багаторічного використання полів і чергування вирощуваних рослин як здійснення важливого кроку до покращення діяльності буряківничої галузі. Вони націлювалися на виконання основних державних завдань з вирощування буряків та інших сільськогосподарських культур, забезпечення стійкого і швидкого підвищення врожайності, створення міцної кормової бази для тваринництва, правильного використання робочої сили, тракторів, скота і сільськогосподарських машин певного колгоспу чи радгоспу. Відмічено індустріалізацію галузі, що дала змогу обладнати бурякосійні господарства тракторами та іншою технікою та хвилю стаханівського руху у буряковому виробництві в середині 1930-х рр., а також висвітлено репрезентацію виробничих досягнень у буряківництві через постійно діючу Всесоюзну сільськогосподарську виставку та періодичні видання, які представляли досвід передовиків сільськогосподарської науки й практики, новини з агротехніки, механізації, хімізації культур, питань бурякових сівозмін, боротьби зі шкідниками сільськогосподарських рослин, з організації праці в бурякових колгоспах, бригадах, ланках, хатах-лабораторіях, спеціальну інформацію з агротехнічного навчання та інші проблеми колгоспного будівництва. Вивчено стан буряківництва у 1940-х–1950-х роках, зокрема вплив війни у 1941–1945 рр. на цю галузь та її відбудову.

Abstract Inelastic nuclear interaction probability of 400 GeV/c protons interacting with bent silicon crystals was investigated, in particular for both types of crystals installed at the CERN Large Hadron Collider for beam collimation purposes. In comparison to amorphous scattering interaction, in planar channeling this probability is $$\sim 36\%$$ ∼36% for the quasi-mosaic type (planes (111)), and $$\sim 27\%$$ ∼27% for the strip type (planes (110)). Moreover, the absolute inelastic nuclear interaction probability in the axial channeling orientation, along the $$\langle 110\rangle $$ ⟨110⟩ axis, was estimated for the first time, finding a value of $$0.6\%$$ 0.6% for a crystal 2 mm long along the beam direction, with a bending angle of 55 $$\upmu $$ μ rad. This value is more than two times lower with respect to the planar channeling orientation of the same crystal, and increases with the vertical angular misalignment. Finally, the correlation between the inelastic nuclear interaction probability in the planar channeling and the silicon crystal curvature is reported.

Застосовуючи метод історико-наукового аналізу, висвітлено роль Павла Петровича Постишева, як політичного ідеолога колгоспного дослідництва в УСРР/УРСР у 30-ті роки ХХ століття. Проаналізовано та представлено його внесок у розвиток колгоспної дослідної справи на території УРСР, зокрема як організатора хат-лабораторій – нових структурних одиниць галузевої науки для потреб сільськогосподарського виробництва радянського села.

Методом історико-наукового аналізу розглянуто проведення дворічних колективних дослідів на чотирьох полях Російської імперії 1867 – 1869 рр. під керівництвом Д. І. Менделєєва за сприяння Імператорського Вільного економічного товариства. З’ясовано, що вони ставились за розробленими планом і методикою в різних ґрунтово-кліматичних зонах. Встановлено важливість отриманих результатів та їх значення для подальшого шляху впровадження мінеральних добрив у сільське господарство.

We consider the capability of flexible spin-transparent polarization control and manipulation in conventional synchrotrons at integer spin resonances by means of spin navigators. The latter are designed as a couple of small solenoids separated by a constant beam bend. We formulate the requirements to the navigator design considering the criteria for stability of the spin motion in the presence of synchrotron energy oscillations. We propose the design of a novel spin-flipping system free of resonant beam depolarization based on such a spin navigator. We discuss the possibilities of testing spin-flipping systems at an integer spin resonance with protons in the Nuclotron ring at JINR in Dubna, Russia, and with deuterons in the RHIC rings at BNL in Upton, New York. The results are relevant to the existing and future facilities where the spin transparency mode can be applied for polarization control.

У статті розкрито розвиток колгоспної дослідної справи на Дніпропетровщині за допомогою щомісячного науково-популярного методичного журналу «На допомогу хатам-лабораторіям» – друкованого органу місцевого значення, що виконував низку функцій задля належного розвитку колгоспної дослідної справи й висвітлення найкращих результатів з основних нагальних сільськогосподарських питань, що знаходилися в компетенції хат-лабораторій. Зосереджено увагу на діяльності журналу протягом 1936–1937 рр. Проведено аналіз наповнення номерів видання й визначено його проблематику.

В статті висвітлено систему досліджень з питання літньої посадки картоплі на півдні УРСР за методом академіка Т. Д. Лисенка через колгоспніхати-лабораторії – осередки дослідництва на селі. Ця проблема була однією з основних у діяльності хат-лабораторій південних районів УРСР. Результати дослідженьспрямовувалисяна підвищення врожайності картоплі, збереження насіння від виродження в умовах посушливого клімату району та мали на меті забезпечитинаселення високоякісними раннімисортами картоплі.

В статті йдеться про мічурінські гуртки при колгоспних хатах-лабораторіях, які проводили роботу в галузі садівництва. Діяльність гуртків стала зразком для ряду дослідників, що гуртувалися навколо хат-лабораторій як основи прогресу колгоспної дослідної справи у 30-х рр. ХХ століття.

Conducted experimental studies on the effect of crude oil, gas condensate, drilling muds and cuttings on the zooplankton, on the plant pigments of phytoplankton, on the saprophytic microflora, as well as on representatives of ichthyofauna of the Caspian sea.

Purpose: To estimate the appearance frequency of metabolic syndrome (MS) markers at teenagers with essential arterial hypertension (EAH) and biliary dyskinesia to reveal its importance as risk factors of this nosologic syntropy.Materials and Methods: 50 teenagers at the age from 13 to 16 years were examined. Level of glucose, uric acid, cholesterol (ChS), ChS of high density lipoproteins (HDL), ChS of low density lipoproteins (LDL) and ChS of very low density lipoproteins (VLDL), concentration of triacylglycerides (TAG), the level of Willibrandt factor, the cortisol level were estimated in the serum of blood of all examined teenagers (on the empty stomach)Results: Momomarkers of MS were found at 38 teenagers with EAH and biliary dyskinesia, that consisted 76% among all examined teenagers.Summary: Teenagers with biliary dyskinesia on the early steps of EAH formation had both and monomarkers of MS and their combination.

Purpose: The estimation of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant status at patients with acute form of myocardial infarction and postinfarction cardiosclerosis.Materials and Methods: Erythrocytes and plasma of venous blood were taken from 200 patients.Results: It was established that acute course of myocardial infarction characterized by intensification of lipid peroxidation. On our opinion, the hyperproduction of hydrogen peroxide is leading mechanism in vessel tense regulation. Tissue hypoxia was found at postinfarction cardiosclerosis, we suppose that it activates the tissue macrophages and stimulates the synthesis of intercellular matrix components.Summary: the orientation and degree of manifestation of activity changes of plasma and erythrocytic superoxide dismutase can serve as prognostic criterion of myocardial infarction.

Purpose: The retrieval of informative laboratorial criteria of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and its aftereffects diagnostics for the reason of water homeostasis assessment and oxygen transportation blood function at patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and postinfarction cardiosclerosis.Matherials and Methods: For the investigation were selected whole blood, plasma and erythrocytes of 200 patients. During the investigation were tested water fractions, content of 2,3-diphosphoglycerat, ectoglobular hemoglobin, the activity of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase.Results: It was established different types of changes in water homeostasis at patients with acute myocardial infarction and postinfarction cardiosclerosis. It was revealed that in acute period of coronary catastrophe the level of bond water has risen both in whole blood and plasma that is compensator adaptive mechanism to prevent cellular dehydration. The prominent elevation of free fraction of water was found at patients with postinfarction cardiosclerosis that possibly is a leading reason of blood cells and cardiomyocytes hyperhydration.

Purpose: to study antioxidant enzymatic state of rythrocytes at arterial hypertension (AH) at teenagers.Materials and methods: venous blood taken from cubital vein and stabilized by heparin was used for investigation. 20 teenagers from 13 to 16 years was examinated. Main antioxidant enzymes: superoxidedismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPO) and level of reductive form of glutathione (GSH) were investigated in the purpose to estimate the state of antioxidant system.Results: teenagers with AH has had dysbalance in the first line of antioxidant system (increasing SOD activity and inhibition of catalase) in combination with more intensive work of second line of antioxidant enzymes (significant activation of GPO).Summary: clinico-biochemical analisis has shown that nonspecific adaptational changes have formed at teenagers that can be included into laboratory algorithms of diagnostic of AH.

This paper is devoted to an experimental study of focusing and defocusing positively charged particle beams with the help of specially bent single crystals. Four crystals have been fabricated for this purpose. The studies have been performed at the CERN SPS in 400 GeV/c proton and 180 GeV/c pion beams. The results of measurements of beam envelopes are presented. The rms size of the horizontal profile at the focus was 5–8 times smaller than at the exit of the crystals. The measured focal lengths were 4–21 m. The results of measurements are in good agreement with calculations. Possible applications of focusing crystals in present and future high energy accelerators are discussed.
