Emoticons are a vivid example of graphic emotionology in virtual communication. The interdisciplinary character of this research made it possible to combine linguistics with exact and natural sciences, including the young science of emotional artificial intelligence. Transmitting psycho-emotional experiences is important for effective virtual communication. Emotional pictography provides a more accurate understanding of the emotive content in a message. It relies on associative links between the image of a specific psycho-emotional state and its perception by a carrier of a specific linguistic culture. Basic emoticons are of universal nature, and internet users with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds tend to interpret them similarly. However, members of different ethno-linguistic communities sometimes decode the same emotions differently, which may lead to misunderstanding, as well as to serve as a marker on the friend – foe axis. Emoticons represent a clearly verified range of emotive states, which can be appealed to in virtual communication. The authors developed a classification of emoticons and proposed graphic emotionology as a new branch of linguistic semiotics. The metaphorical nature of the emoticon as a coded emotion with additional evaluative shades is revealed as a certain unified image or a complex of signs due to the accepted emotive norms of speech behavior. In addition, emoticons provide efficient compression during virtual communication. Intercultural virtual communication enriches the range of emoticons both linguistically and culturally, thus developing graphic emotionology internationally. Emoticons provide insight into the development of graphic emotionology.

The article presents the results of monitoring observations on the temporal distribution of the qualitative and quantitative components of the Dnipro River suspended matter within Zaporizhzhia city. The research on the territory of this powerful industrial center of Ukraine with a developed metallurgical complex was carried out from 2015 up to 2019 and from the end of 2021 to the present time. The main task of the research was determining the distribution of iron and a group of heavy metals of anthropogenic origin in the composition of the river suspension, and identifying the connections of their concentrations and forms with the natural conditions of the region. Sedimentary matter from the water flows of Dnipro River within research area was sampled once per month using sedimentary traps developed by authors. The methods of electron microscopy (with microprobe analysis) and laser diffraction analysis were used to study the suspension granulometric and chemical composition in the Center for Shared Use of Scientific Equipment of the IGS NASU. SEM studies were carried using scanning electron microscope SEM JEOL-6490 LV (Jeol Ltd., Japan) with an energy dispersive spectrometer of the X-ray microanalysis system INCA Energy+ (Oxford Instruments plc., Great Britain). Particle size analysis was determined using the laser particle size analyzer Mastersizer 2000 with a Hydro 2000S wet dispersion module (Malvern Ins. Ltd, UK).The study results of the samples taken in the first year of hostilities in Ukraine revealed a number of features which were not observed in the previous series of studies. Those peculiarities are the following ones: reduction in the intensity of sedimentary matter accumulation; decrease of technogenic components in the suspension content (in particular, the amount of ferrous metals, changes in the ratio of condensed and dispersed iron particles of silt size, as well as the component composition of fragments of alloys of non-ferrous and ferrous metals). The obtained results may indicate the sensitivity of the component composition of the suspension to changes in the external environment in general, as well as the significant impact of the anthropogenic component on the distribution of iron in suspended matter.

Abstract Background The previously underestimated effects of commensal gut microbiota on the human body are increasingly being investigated using omics. The discovery of active molecules of interaction between the microbiota and the host may be an important step towards elucidating the mechanisms of symbiosis. Results Here, we show that in the bloodstream of healthy people, there are over 900 peptides that are fragments of proteins from microorganisms which naturally inhabit human biotopes, including the intestinal microbiota. Absolute quantitation by multiple reaction monitoring has confirmed the presence of bacterial peptides in the blood plasma and serum in the range of approximately 0.1 nM to 1 μM. The abundance of microbiota peptides reaches its maximum about 5 h after a meal. Most of the peptides correlate with the bacterial composition of the small intestine and are likely obtained by hydrolysis of membrane proteins with trypsin, chymotrypsin and pepsin – the main proteases of the gastrointestinal tract. The peptides have physicochemical properties that likely allow them to selectively pass the intestinal mucosal barrier and resist fibrinolysis. Conclusions The proposed approach to the identification of microbiota peptides in the blood, after additional validation, may be useful for determining the microbiota composition of hard-to-reach intestinal areas and monitoring the permeability of the intestinal mucosal barrier.

Abstract Ovarian cancer often develops resistance to conventional therapies, hampering their effectiveness. Here, using ex vivo paired ovarian cancer ascites obtained before and after chemotherapy and in vitro therapy-induced secretomes, we show that molecules secreted by ovarian cancer cells upon therapy promote cisplatin resistance and enhance DNA damage repair in recipient cancer cells. Even a short-term incubation of chemonaive ovarian cancer cells with therapy-induced secretomes induces changes resembling those that are observed in chemoresistant patient-derived tumor cells after long-term therapy. Using integrative omics techniques, we find that both ex vivo and in vitro therapy-induced secretomes are enriched with spliceosomal components, which relocalize from the nucleus to the cytoplasm and subsequently into the extracellular vesicles upon treatment. We demonstrate that these molecules substantially contribute to the phenotypic effects of therapy-induced secretomes. Thus, SNU13 and SYNCRIP spliceosomal proteins promote therapy resistance, while the exogenous U12 and U6atac snRNAs stimulate tumor growth. These findings demonstrate the significance of spliceosomal network perturbation during therapy and further highlight that extracellular signaling might be a key factor contributing to the emergence of ovarian cancer therapy resistance.

The paper presents an analysis and assessment of risks of complication of epidemiological situation regarding cholera in the Russian Federation and a forecast for 2024. It briefly characterizes the dynamics of the epidemic process around the world during the last decade (2013–2022). The forecast of cholera importation into the Russian Federation, due to activity of the epidemic process in endemic countries, has been confirmed. In 2023, two cases of cholera importation from India were reported. It was established that the toxigenic strains isolated from patients belonged to the currently dominant in the world “post-Haitian” group, including in India and Bangladesh, with the genotype ctxB7 tcpACIRS rtxA4a VSP-IIΔ0495-0512. Furthermore, non-toxigenic Vibrio cholerae O1 strains were isolated from samples of biological material from persons arriving from India, containing preCTX prophage and distinct from the strain (ctxAB– tcpAEТ–) isolated from a patient with acute intestinal infection (Zaporozhye Region, Melitopol). Nontoxigenic NAG vibrios were isolated from 13 patients with acute intestinal infections, which is 1.9 times more than in 2022. Regardless of importations, a strain of V. cholerae O1 (ctxB1+tcpAEТ) of the “pre-Haitian” group was isolated from a water sample of a surface reservoir. 52 non-toxigenic V. сholerae O1 strains were found on the territory of 11 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which is 18.9 % more than in 2022. In 2024, epidemiological risks of cholera importation from endemic countries to any administrative territory of the Russian Federation remain. The risks of epidemic manifestations of cholera are especially high in the territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation which are under ongoing emergency, due to migration processes, and the impact of other risk-forming factors that contribute to an increase in the degree of contact of the population with water bodies contaminated with cholera vibrios. If epidemic foci of cholera are to emerge in a neighboring country, there will be a high probability of spread of this infection in the stated constituent entities of the Russian Federation and in other territories of southern Russia. In the absence of epidemic manifestations of cholera, the possibility of occasional detection of toxigenic O1 serogroup strains in water samples due to unidentified introductions from cholera-affected areas cannot be ruled out.

A review of studies analysing the process of humour perception under normal conditions and its disturbances in brain damage is presented. The perception of humour is considered to be a multicomponent mental activity that occurs through a series of cognitive and affective processes characterized by a specific brain organization. The results of studies on the perception of humour in healthy people and in patients with brain damage are largely inconsistent: neuroimaging studies confirm the important role of structures of both hemispheres of the brain, while clinical data indicate a significant contribution of structures of the right hemisphere to the perception of humour. Studies on humour perception in healthy individuals and clinical studies have found no differences between the neuronal correlates of verbal and non-verbal humour perception. A neuropsychological approach to the study of the structure of the process of humour perception may be important for diagnosis of affective and cognitive disorders in patients with brain damage, as difficulties in the perception of humour may reflect disturbances of the most subtle aspects of the functioning and interaction of cognitive and emotional-personal processes.

Introduction: The BIOFIRE Joint Infection (JI) Panel is a diagnostic tool that uses multiplex-PCR testing to detect microorganisms in synovial fluid specimens from patients suspected of having septic arthritis (SA) on native joints or prosthetic joint infections (PJIs). Methods: A study was conducted across 34 clinical sites in 19 European and Middle Eastern countries from March 2021 to June 2022 to assess the effectiveness of the BIOFIRE JI Panel. Results: A total of 1527 samples were collected from patients suspected of SA or PJI, with an overall agreement of 88.4 % and 85 % respectively between the JI Panel and synovial fluid cultures (SFCs). The JI Panel detected more positive samples and microorganisms than SFC, with a notable difference on Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus species, Enterococcus faecalis, Kingella kingae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and anaerobic bacteria. The study found that the BIOFIRE JI Panel has a high utility in the real-world clinical setting for suspected SA and PJI, providing diagnostic results in approximately 1 h. The user experience was positive, implying a potential benefit of rapidity of results' turnover in optimising patient management strategies. Conclusion: The study suggests that the BIOFIRE JI Panel could potentially optimise patient management and antimicrobial therapy, thus highlighting its importance in the clinical setting.

Introduction: Among the various stromal cell types within the tumor microenvironment, cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) emerge as the predominant constituent, exhibiting a diverse array of oncogenic functions not intrinsic to normal fibroblasts. Their involvement spans across all stages of tumorigenesis, encompassing initiation, progression, and metastasis. Current understanding posits the coexistence of distinct subpopulations of CAFs within the tumor microenvironment across a spectrum of solid tumors, showcasing both pro- and antitumor activities. Recent advancements in single-cell transcriptomics have revolutionized our ability to meticulously dissect the heterogeneity inherent to CAF populations. Furthermore, accumulating evidence underscores the pivotal role of CAFs in conferring therapeutic resistance to tumors against various drug modalities. Consequently, efforts are underway to develop pharmacological agents specifically targeting CAFs.Methods: This review embarks on a comprehensive analysis, consolidating data from 36 independent single-cell RNA sequencing investigations spanning 17 distinct human malignant tumor types.Results: Our exploration centers on elucidating CAF population markers, discerning their prognostic relevance, delineating their functional contributions, and elucidating the underlying mechanisms orchestrating chemoresistance.Discussion: Finally, we deliberate on the therapeutic potential of harnessing CAFs as promising targets for intervention strategies in clinical oncology.

Using the survey method, the paper presents the attitudes of participants in the educational process in Physical Education and Sports (PES) who are in the final high school stage and on the university level of education. The reasons for difference in motivation of girls at high school and female students at university are clarified. The change in the attitudes towards the subject Physical Education and Sports as a main element in the formation of new professionals has been monitored.

Introduction. The benefits of exercise for the cardiovascular system are apparent. However, the influence of predominantly strength exercises throughout life has not been sufficiently studied. This work details the studies around the structure and function of the heart in sambo veteran athletes residing in the Russian Federation (RF) and the Azerbaijan Republic (AR) as well as the frequency of risk factors for their cardiovascular system.Methods. We examined 55 male athletes aged 45.4 ± 8.3 yrs: 24 sambo veterans from RF (group “RF”), 10 sambo veterans from AR (group “AR”) and 21 persons representing control group (“CG”) (chess, bowling), RF. Questionnaires, analysis of ideal health factors, recording of electrocardiogram in 12 leads, echocardiography, stress test with oxygen analysis were carried out.Results. Maximum exercise power and peak oxygen consumption were higher in the “RF” and “AR” groups compared to the “CG” group. The main abnormalities were hypertrophy of interventricular septum (n = 11, 32.3 %) and left ventricular wall (n = 3, 8.8 %). Concentric left ventricular remodeling was predominant in the “AR” group (5 vs. 1, p < 0.05) and greater left ventricular volume in the “RF” group (65.1 vs. 52.0 ml/m2, p < 0.05). Lower physical performance and the presence of dyslipidemia were significantly associated with parameters reflecting concentric left ventricular remodeling (“AR” group). Various ideal health factors were absent in 10–80 % of the examinees. A total of 7 (20.6 %) veterans were found to have a high risk of cardiovascular diseases according to the questionnaire.Conclusion. Prolonged wrestling exercises allow veterans to maintain high aerobic capacity. Concentric remodeling of myocardium of the left ventricle is combined with higher indices of dyslipidemia in the group “AR” which may be connected to low physical activity and eating habits after sport practice.

Objective: to assess the suitability of existing domestic and international recommendations and standards for the use of echocardiography as a screening technique for examining athletes with various diseases.Materials and methods: a meta‑analysis of 59 domestic and foreign literature sources based on the results of an echocardiographic examination of athletes was carried out. The indicators of 2647 male athletes aged 16 to 45 years old, playing for the national teams of the city of Moscow and having passed an in‑depth medical examination at the Sports Medicine Clinic, were studied.Results: screening echocardiography sufficiently reveals structural deviations of the heart of athletes from population norms, including congenital or acquired pathologies that cause both sudden death and general morbidity compared with a healthy population.Conclusion: in order to speed up and reduce the cost of the examination of athletes, it is appropriate to use the primary screening, and if necessary, an in‑depth examination. In this case, it is advisable to distinguish three diagnostic stages that determine the danger or admissibility of playing sports: (A) — the risk of developing complications, (B) — the presence of structural changes in the heart, and (C) — the appearance of clinical symptoms.

The article is devoted to a comparative study of the national and cultural features of the representation of the concept of “war” in the Russian and Chuvash pictures of the world. Based on the material of Russian and Chuvash proverbs and sayings selected from lexicographic and folklore sources, a comprehensive comparative analysis of the concept of “war” at the semantic, pragmatic and culturological levels was conducted for the first time, the features of its verbalization were considered. For the first time, the national-cultural features of the representation of the concept of “war” at the cognitive-discursive level are revealed, which determines the relevance of our research. The analysis made it possible to reveal that the concept of “war” is a universal unit included in the spiritual code of the nation, has a dynamic semantic structure and is multidimensional in its content. As a result of a comparative analysis, it was found that the fundamental values of the moral order in the study of the concept of “war” are the same for both peoples. The speech embodiment of this concept in the Russian and Chuvash language pictures of the world is defined as a process that contradicts the human mind.

This article examines the specifics of the blogosphere of the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet, as well as the changes that have occurred in this area after the ban of certain social platforms and their recognition as extremist on the territory of the Russian Federation. The study was carried out using a comparative method and is based on the analysis of the content of blogs in the social networks VKontakte, Dzen, Telegram, selected by a continuous sampling method for the period from February 2022 to October 2022. The blogosphere today is a dynamically and actively developing environment, and blogs are no longer just a channel for broadcasting relevant information, but also a social and communicative phenomenon existing at the intersection of journalism, marketing and political technologies.The recognition of some popular social networks as extremist on the territory of the Russian Federation has led to a reduction in the income of bloggers associated with a sharp decrease in the coverage of their accounts, as well as the departure of a number of major foreign advertisers from the Russian market. There was a transition of the main bloggers to alternative blogging platforms, as well as the search for suitable forms of content submission for them and attempts to increase the audience. These changes affected not only bloggers, but also the accounts of various state budget organizations operating within the framework of the electronic state presented on the Internet.Social networks today are turning from platforms for communication and file sharing into digital ecosystems that include many services. Bloggers develop their accounts, increasing the number of subscribers and building up a regular audience and become influencers — opinion leaders, which is actively used by businesses in influencer marketing. To optimize cooperation with media personalities who have their own blogs, representatives of companies turn to influencer agencies, which today provide a full range of digital services, from the idea to its final implementation. The growth of the older audience leads to the fact that the content is “maturing” — more and more serious topics are being raised, the requirements for the quality of content are increasing. The trends of personalization of content and fragmentation of the blog audience are also increasing.

The aim of the review was to analyze and assess the epidemiological situation on cholera in the world and Russia in 2013–2022 and to make a forecast for 2023. Over the period of 2013–2022, 500 administrative territories affected by cholera were identified in various regions of 71 countries of Asia, Africa and America (the Caribbean region) with formation of 69 endemic foci in 16, 41 and 12 countries, respectively. In 2022, 1 209 301 cases of cholera were registered in 36 countries of the world. The intensity of epidemic process in Asian countries (Syria, Lebanon) increased. Unfavorable epidemiological situation on the African continent persisted. Epidemics and large outbreaks, which began in 2021–2022 due to emergency situations (ES) of social and natural character, continued. The prediction of the stability of the epidemiological situation on cholera in the territories of constituent entities of the Russian Federation (RF), given for 2022, has been confirmed. In 2022, 43 non-toxigenic strains of Vibrio cholerae О1 were isolated from surface water bodies, 8 V. cholerae nonO1/nonO139 strains – from humans. Similarity of those strains with genetically closely related ones isolated in the course of monitoring in previous years in Russia, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Zaporozhye Region was demonstrated. In 2023, the risks of importation of the infection into RF are retained. It is associated with the intensification of epidemic processes in Asian, African and Caribbean region countries. The extended border with Ukraine, to where importation of cholera from endemic countries is possible, contributes to increased degree of threat. Bioterrorism is also not excluded. The consequences of a possible cholera epidemic complication in DPR, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions are exacerbated by social emergencies resulting in disruption of infrastructure, interruptions in water supply, etc. In the absence of implementation of the risks of importation of this infection on the territory of RF, a stable epidemiological situation on cholera will be retained. Detection of non-toxigenic V. cholerae O1 strains (including probability of clonal complexes formation), as well as strains of non-O1/non-O139 serogroups, which can be etiological factors of sporadic cases or outbreaks of diarrheal diseases, in surface water bodies is predicted.

Background: Gaucher disease (GD) is caused by glucocerebrosidase (GCase) enzyme deficiency, leading to glycosylceramide (Gb-1) and glucosylsphingosine (Lyso-Gb-1) accumulation. The pathological hallmark for GD is an accumulation of large macrophages called Gaucher cells (GCs) in the liver, spleen, and bone marrow, which are associated with chronic organ enlargement, bone manifestations, and inflammation. Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase type 5 (TRAP5 protein, ACP5 gene) has long been a nonspecific biomarker of macrophage/GCs activation; however, the discovery of two isoforms of TRAP5 has expanded its significance. The discovery of TRAP5′s two isoforms revealed that it is more than just a biomarker of macrophage activity. While TRAP5a is highly expressed in macrophages, TRAP5b is secreted by osteoclasts. Recently, we have shown that the elevation of TRAP5b in plasma is associated with osteoporosis in GD. However, the role of TRAP isoforms in GD and how the accumulation of Gb-1 and Lyso-Gb-1 affects TRAP expression is unknown. Methods: 39 patients with GD were categorized into cohorts based on bone mineral density (BMD). TRAP5a and TRAP5b plasma levels were quantified by ELISA. ACP5 mRNA was estimated using RT-PCR. Results: An increase in TRAP5b was associated with reduced BMD and correlated with Lyso-Gb-1 and immune activator chemokine ligand 18 (CCL18). In contrast, the elevation of TRAP5a correlated with chitotriosidase activity in GD. Lyso-Gb-1 and plasma seemed to influence the expression of ACP5 in macrophages. Conclusions: As an early indicator of BMD alteration, measurement of circulating TRAP5b is a valuable tool for assessing osteopenia–osteoporosis in GD, while TRAP5a serves as a biomarker of macrophage activation in GD. Understanding the distinct expression pattern of TRAP5 isoforms offers valuable insight into both bone disease and the broader implications for immune system activation in GD.

Objective: assess the suitability of existing domestic and international recommendations for the use of echocardiography as a screening method for examining athletes; to select standards that characterize the heart in different sports, based on their own research.Materials and methods: a meta‑analysis of 38 domestic and foreign literature sources based on the results of an echocardiographic examination of athletes was carried out. The indicators of 2647 male athletes aged 16 to 45 years old, playing for the national teams of the city of Moscow and having passed an in‑depth medical examination at the Sports Medicine Clinic, were studied.Results: heart sizes in athletes differ slightly from population indicators, however, in 14–45% of cases they go beyond the reference values. In the absence of heart disease, the largest dimensions of the left ventricle (LV) are observed in endurance exercisers. At the same time, high functionality correlates with increased LV volume indexed by BCA (for EDV/BSA and VO2 AT r = 0.52, p < 0.05).Conclusion: echocardiographic screening of athletes allows obtaining sufficient information to identify congenital or pathology that has arisen during excessive training loads. As standards, it is advisable to use population indicators expressed in centile values.

Abstract Dysregulation of pre-mRNA splicing is a common hallmark of cancer cells and it is associated with altered expression, localization, and mutations of the components of the splicing machinery. In the last few years, it has been elucidated that spliceosome components can also influence cellular processes in a splicing-independent manner. Here, we analyze open source data to understand the effect of the knockdown of splicing factors in human cells on the expression and splicing of genes relevant to cell proliferation, migration, cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and cell death. We supplement this information with a comprehensive literature review of non-canonical functions of splicing factors linked to cancer progression. We also specifically discuss the involvement of splicing factors in intercellular communication and known autoregulatory mechanisms in restoring their levels in cells. Finally, we discuss strategies to target components of the spliceosome machinery that are promising for anticancer therapy. Altogether, this review greatly expands understanding of the role of spliceosome proteins in cancer progression.

In the study of the history of Soviet camps, there are still serious gaps; in particular, there are no works that reveal the history of the creation and functioning of the camp system in the Caspian region. This study fills the gap in historiography and provides answers to the topical issues of the location of some camp units, reasons, goals, objectives and conditions for the creation and operation of the camp com-plex in the Kazakhstan region of the Caspian Sea. The source base of the study is the documents from the fund of the Main Directorate of Camps and Places of Incarceration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR of the State Archive of the Russian Federation. The article shows that from the middle of 1932, in the course of solving the problem of creating their own supply base, the OGPU camps began to intensively develop the fishing industry. The GULAG got a new fishing area - Prorva located in the north-eastern part of the Caspian Sea. For catching and processing fish, there was created the Prorva labor camp which functioned from 1932 to 1940; it was initially subordinated to the GULAG OGPU and stationed in the Kazakh ASSR on the island of Prorva in the Caspian Sea. One of the largest units was the Guryev camp with the population of up to 2 thousand people; it was located in the area of the town of Guryev, Kazakh ASSR. The prisoners were engaged in fishing and provided them-selves with fish, the supply of which to the camps was cut off from 1932. The study reveals that the prisoners settled down in the Caspian fishing region of Kazakhstan in extremely difficult climatic, living and working conditions; they made a significant contribution to the provision of camps and colonies with food, since all products manufactured by the Prorva labor camp were sold in the GULAG system.

This paper highlights the crucial need to establish clear criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the scientific activity of research and academic staff. By carefully examining different dimensions of research activity, this study identifies and describes a comprehensive set of criteria and relevant indicators. These include involvement in project competitions (preparation, participation, and student engagement), scholarly publication outputs (journals, conferences, monographs, and student mentoring), scientometric measures (indexing and citations), altmetric considerations (digital repositories, online presence, and social media impact), expert contributions (peer review, committee participation, editorial roles, and conference organization), and representative scholarly achievements (dissertation defense, academic and honorary titles, awards, supervision, international engagement, and language skills). It is emphasized that these identified criteria can be categorized into publication and dissemination, exploitation, and impact on the academic community. By using this comprehensive framework, educational institutions can effectively assess the quality, impact, and contribution of the activities of research and academic staff, thereby promoting research excellence and educational progress.

Introduction A pathological fracture in patients with primary bone sarcomas is a complication that requires specific management with the prognosis affecting the disease. The treatment strategy of the patients with pathological fracture remains controversial. The aim was to explore the effect of a pathological bone fracture on treatment of pediatric bone sarcoma. Material and methods The study included 141 children with bone sarcomas, residents of Moscow. A pathological fracture was observed in 17 (12.1 %) cases accompanied by osteosarcoma in 10 (58.8 %) cases and Ewing's sarcoma in 7 (41.2 %) cases. Long bones were most common location of the fracture seen in 15 (88.2 %) cases. Results Errors in establishing the diagnosis of bone sarcomas occurred in children with/without a fracture with no statistically significant differences (p = 0.239). There were no statistically significant differences in the volume of surgical interventions, functional assessment using the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society System (MSTS), and 5-year survival in children with/without a fracture (p ≥ 0.05). Discussion Treatment of pathological fractures in children should be produced after obtaining biopsy and the histological diagnosis. The frequency of local recurrence and functional outcome does not depend on the fracture. Conclusion Pathological process is to be ruled out in the presence of a fracture, and adequate visualization using MRI to be followed by a biopsy in a specialized institution would be needed if a pathological focus is suspected.

The aim of the work was to summarize the experience of the Rostov-on-Don Research Anti-Plague Institute in the organizational and functional response aimed at ensuring the implementation of a complex of on-going and scheduled anti-epidemic (preventive) measures at different territorial levels in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. Stage-wise reassignment of scientific and operational subdivisions of the facility was carried out in a timely manner in a flexible mode for a prompt response to the challenges that arose from community transmission of the new coronavirus infection in the territory of the Russian Federation. It allowed an effective distribution of the forces and assets without damage for specialized functioning in the main areas of scientific and practical activities. Realized was an effective interdepartmental interaction with territorial scientific and practical institutions of the Rospotrebnadzor and specialized medical organizations. Practical, methodological and advisory assistance was provided to personnel of specialized medical institutions within the framework of conversing in-patient facilities into hospitals for the treatment of patients with COVID-19. Priority research to study the level of the humoral and cellular immune response to SARS-CoV-2 among the population of the Rostov Region, the etiological spectrum of the causative agents of community-acquired pneumonia associated with COVID-19, full genome sequencing of SARS-CoV-2 isolates was carried out. Specialists of the task forces reinforced human resources of individual laboratory facilities in Moscow city, the Republic of Crimea and the Rostov Region. Complex objective of effective functioning has been implemented: in an operational mode – participation in anti-epidemic (preventive) measures in the face of changes in the dynamics and intensity of the epidemic manifestations of new coronavirus infection; in scheduled mode – the implementation of activities in the main areas of the scientific work of the organization.

The aim of the work was to summarize the results of cholera monitoring in 2021, to assess current trends in the development of the epidemic process, and to predict the epidemiological situation in the Russian Federation for 2022. It was established that within the period of 2012–2021, 4117264 cases of cholera with the spread of infection across 83 countries on all continents were registered in the world and there was a downward trend in the incidence in Asia and Africa. The dynamics of monthly morbidity in 2021 was associated with emergencies as factors of epidemiological risk. Epidemics and outbreaks of cholera were documented against the background of COVID-19 pandemic and laid a double burden on healthcare systems. At the same time, based on the overview of the results of cholera monitoring in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, it was shown that the forecast of epidemic well-being given for 2021 was fully justified. It has been determined that the increase in the number of non-toxigenic strains of Vibrio cholerae O1 (67) isolated from water bodies compared to 2020 (25) is mainly due to the appurtenance of a number of isolates to clonal complexes. The study of phylogenetic relation has demonstrated that the detection of strains with genotypes which were previously identified in the isolates evidences the persistence potential. The identification of strains with new genotypes, which were earlier established in the strains circulating in other territories, pointed at the possibility of the occasional importations. The forecast of the epidemiological situation on cholera in Russia for 2022 is associated with the continuous existence of risks of introduction. If these epidemiological risks are not realized, a favorable epidemiological situation is predicted regarding this infection in the country. It is expected that the detection of epidemiologically insignificant strains of V. cholerae O1 in environmental water bodies, along with their clones and/or clonal complexes, will remain, including strains that may be an etiological factor in sporadic cases or outbreaks of disease.

Despite a significant number of works devoted to the history of the GULAG, the problem of the formation and functioning of small regional camps in the areas where the camp system was not widespread still remains practically uncovered both in Russian and in foreign historiography. Fishing camps in the Caspian Sea region remain practically unstudied. The Prorvinskii correctional labor camp also known as the Prorva Island camp (Prorvlag) is among them. The aim of this study was to fill the gap in the historiography of the GULAG, to reveal the causes and conditions of the formation of the fishing camp complex on the shores of the Northern Caspian Sea, to analyze the industrial activities of Prorvlag, and to determine the location of individual structural subdivisions of the camp. The study is based on the documents from the archives of the Main Administration of Places of Confinement (Glavnoe upravlenie mest zaklyucheniya, GUMZ) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (GARF, F. R-9414) supplemented by a considerable collection of other publications. The underlying methodological principle is the critical analysis of the entire body of factual material and the new archival documents in the first place. It has been established that in 1932, the OGPU received a new fishing area for its future use, the Prorva district located in the northeastern part of the Caspian Sea. For the purposes of its development and further organization of fisheries, a correctional labor camp was established there, with its administration originally stationed on Prorva Island in the Caspian Sea. The camp, which functioned from 1932 to 1940, included several subcamps, camp stations, and camp detachments. Among the prisoners, there were many fishing specialists who were convicted of various counter-revolutionary crimes. The camp had a fishing fleet of 1 115 units, production workshops for its maintenance, and coastal and floating fish factories. All the products produced by Prorvlag were sold within the GULAG system. It has been revealed that the OGPU established the Prorva Island camp in order to create its own base for supplying the camp population with fish products, since in 1932 the state stopped supplying camps with fish. The prisoners who developed the new fishing area in the most difficult climatic, domestic, industrial, and sanitary conditions made a significant contribution to the development of the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.

During the recent years, more often sports specialist are focusing on improving the content of sports curriculum at the schools of higher education. The PURPOSE of the training program is to improve and develop the physical characteristic of strength in students / men /. The METHODS used to achieve the goal in the research are: theoretical analysis, sports-pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, pedagogical observation, graphic analysis, comparative analysis. The experiment was conducted in the academic year 2019, with the first and second year students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Economics at the Thracian University. The number of the observed students was 70, who were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. When analyzing the RESULTS obtained from the performed tests, it was found an increase in some indicators. The used training program proved its effectiveness with the results from the study. CONCLUSION: This program can be successfully applied in the classes of physical education and sports at the Higher Schools.

Stroke or ischemia is caused by a blockage in a specific blood vessel that partially or completely reduces the blood flow to the brain. Nutritional factors such as antioxidants and healthy eating patterns are important variables in preventing stroke. Molecular composition properties such as molecular binding and screening can be used to evaluate the specific activity and morphological changes. The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of pharmacological correction of the consequences of a hemorrhagic stroke in rats with a new derivative of taurine magnesium-bis-(2-aminoethanesulfonic)-butadioate. The animals (n=170) were divided into four groups as follows: 1) control group (n=20), 2) group 2 suffered a hemorrhagic stroke without pharmacological correction (n=50), 3) group 3 (n=50) underwent simulation of hemorrhagic stroke received Taurine at the dose of 50 mg/kg, 4) Group 4 underwent simulation of hemorrhagic stroke with correction of hemorrhagic stroke with magnesium-bis-(2-aminoethanesulfonic)-butadioate at the dose of 150 mg/kg (LKHT 3-17) (n=50). Hemorrhagic stroke was induced by transfusing autologous blood into the parietal lobe of the right hemisphere of the brain. Lethality, neurological status, locomotor, and exploratory behavior, as well as the morphological pattern of the brain damage, were assessed on the 1st, 3rd, and 7th days after the pathology simulation. Neurological deficit was determined in animals by the McGrow stroke index scale. The locomotor and exploratory behavior was evaluated using the Acti-track software and hardware complex. Two criteria were considered when assessing morphological changes in the brain: the average thickness of the cerebral cortex (in micrometers) and the number of neurons without degenerative changes. In this study the individual profiles of seminal plasma proteins (SPP) in rams of three breeds – Me-rino, Pleven Blackhead and Ile de France  were analysed. The study was carried out with three rams at 3, 6 and 10 years of age, grown and fed under similar conditions. Eighteen ejaculates (6 ejaculates from each ram) were evaluated by Sperm Class Analyzer. The total SPP concentration was measured spectrophotometrically. The separation and characterisation of SPP was performed by HPLC and one dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). There were no significant differences between the characteristics of ejaculates and the main kinematic parameters of the sperm in the breeds studied. Chromatograms showed specific profiles with 9, 10 and 11 protein peaks for Merino, Pleven Blackhead and Ile de France breeds, respectively. The total SPP concentration was the highest in the Pleven Blackhead breed and the lowest in Ile de France breed. The major parts of SPP in the three breeds were identical. The seminal plasma of Merino breed contained proteins with molecular mass of 30.3 kDa, 15.7 kDa and 15.2 kDa that were not present in the other two breeds. In the Ile de France and Pleven Blackhead samples only, two proteins with molecular masses of 39.7 kDa and 21.1 kDa, were observed. In conclusion, the detection of specific proteins can be used as a biological marker for sheep breed identification.

The present research was focused on the differentiation of specific proteins in the seminal plasma (SP) of two horse breeds  Holsteiner (n=4) and East Bulgarian (n=4) and their relation with indivi¬dual or breed characteristics, kinematic parameters of spermatozoa and the sperm head area. Patients with Gaucher disease (GD) have progressive bone involvement that clinically presents with debilitating bone pain, structural bone changes, bone marrow infiltration (BMI), Erlenmeyer (EM) flask deformity, and osteoporosis. Pain is referred by the majority of GD patients and continues to persist despite the type of therapy. The pain in GD is described as chronic deep penetrating pain; however, sometimes, patients experience severe acute pain. The source of bone pain is mainly debated as nociceptive pain secondary to bone pathology or neuropathic or inflammatory origins. Osteocytes constitute a significant source of secreted molecules that coordinate bone remodeling. Osteocyte markers, sclerostin (SOST) and Dickkopf-1 (DKK-1), inactivate the canonical Wnt signaling pathway and lead to the inhibition of bone formation. Thus, circulated sclerostin and DKK-1 are potential biomarkers of skeletal abnormalities. This study aimed to assess the circulating levels of sclerostin and DKK-1 in patients with GD and their correlation with clinical bone pathology parameters: pain, bone mineral density (BMD), and EM deformity. Thirty-nine patients with GD were classified into cohorts based on the presence and severity of bone manifestations. The serum levels of sclerostin and DKK-1 were quantified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. The highest level of sclerostin was measured in GD patients with pain, BMI, and EM deformity. The multiparameter analysis demonstrated that 95% of GD patients with pain, BMI, and EM deformity had increased levels of sclerostin. The majority of patients with elevated sclerostin also have osteopenia or osteoporosis. Moreover, circulating sclerostin level increase with age, and GD patients have elevated sclerostin levels when compared with healthy control from the same age group. Pearson’s linear correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between serum DKK-1 and sclerostin in healthy controls and GD patients with normal bone mineral density. However, the balance between sclerostin and DKK-1 waned in GD patients with osteopenia or osteoporosis. In conclusion, the osteocyte marker, sclerostin, when elevated, is associated with bone pain, BMI, and EM flask deformity in GD patients. The altered sclerostin/DKK-1 ratio correlates with the reduction of bone mineral density. These data confirm that the Wnt signaling pathway plays a role in GD-associated bone disease. Sclerostin and bone pain could be used as biomarkers to assess patients with a high risk of BMI and EM flask deformities.

Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) have long been known as one of the most important players in tumor initiation and progression. Even so, there is an incomplete understanding of the identification of CAFs among tumor microenvironment cells as the list of CAF marker genes varies greatly in the literature, therefore it is imperative to find a better way to identify reliable markers of CAFs. To this end, we summarized a large number of single-cell RNA-sequencing data of multiple tumor types and corresponding normal tissues. As a result, for 9 different types of cancer, we identified CAF-specific gene expression signatures and found 10 protein markers that showed strongly positive staining of tumor stroma according to the analysis of IHC images from the Human Protein Atlas database. Our results give an insight into selecting the most appropriate combination of cancer-associated fibroblast markers. Furthermore, comparison of different approaches for studying differences between cancer-associated and normal fibroblasts (NFs) illustrates the superiority of transcriptome analysis of fibroblasts obtained from fresh tissue samples. Using single-cell RNA sequencing data, we identified common differences in gene expression patterns between normal and cancer-associated fibroblasts, which do not depend on the type of tumor.

Fabry disease (FD) is a lysosomal disorder caused by α-galactosidase A deficiency, resulting in the accumulation of globotriaosylceramide (Gb-3) and its metabolite globotriaosylsphingosine (Lyso-Gb-3). Cardiovascular complications and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) are the most frequent manifestations of FD. While an echocardiogram and cardiac MRI are clinical tools to assess cardiac involvement, hypertrophic pattern variations and fibrosis make it crucial to identify biomarkers to predict early cardiac outcomes. This study aims to investigate potential biomarkers associated with HCM in FD: transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), TGF-β active form (a-TGF-β), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A), and fibroblast growth factor (FGF2) in 45 patients with FD, categorized into cohorts based on the HCM severity. TGF-β1, a-TGF-β, FGF2, and VEGF-A were elevated in FD. While the association of TGF-β1 with HCM was not gender-related, VEGF was elevated in males with FD and HCM. Female patients with abnormal electrocardiograms but without overt HCM also have elevated TGF-β1. Lyso-Gb3 is correlated with TGF-β1, VEGF-A, and a-TGF-β1. Elevation of TGF-β1 provides evidence of the chronic inflammatory state as a cause of myocardial fibrosis in FD patients; thus, it is a potential marker of early cardiac fibrosis detected even prior to hypertrophy. TGF-β1 and VEGF biomarkers may be prognostic indicators of adverse cardiovascular events in FD.

Bimetallic Ni/Cu core–shell and Cu-Ni heterostructural micro- and nanoparticles were prepared using two simple successive reduction procedures. Monometallic Ni and Cu particles were synthesized for comparison. The phase constitutions and morphological features of the particles were studied by means of X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy methods. All the prepared mono- and bimetallic particles were applied as electrocatalysts in the electrohydrogenation of p-nitrophenol (p-NPh). An additional electrochemical reduction of copper cations during the hydrogen saturation of Cu-containing particles was established. The prepared Ni/Cu particles exhibited the highest electrocatalytic activity with an increase in the hydrogenation rate of p-NPh by more than three times compared to its electrochemical reduction on the nonactivated cathode, and p-NPh conversion yielded the maximum values. The main product of p-NPh electrocatalytic hydrogenation over Ni-Cu particles is p-aminophenol, which is an intermediate in the synthesis of many drugs. p-Aminophenol formation is confirmed by UV-Vis spectra.

Early diagnosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in dogs using imaging methods has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. That allows accurate differentiation of BPH from other diseases, as well as timely prophylaxis and treatment. The aim of the research was to make a comparative analysis of BPH diagnosis by ultrasound, X-ray and computed tomography (CT) and computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA) of ejaculates from sexually mature male dogs. Two hundred and fifty patients of different breeds, 80 of whom with previous clinical history and BPH-related complaints at 3 to 7 years of age, were followed. The results of echographic studies of dogs with clinical signs of BPH showed structural prostate changes. Focal inflammation, small or larger intra- or paraprostatic cysts (7%), neoplasia (3%), acute or chronic prostatitis (15%) and prostate abscesses (3%) were detected. The remaining 72% of patients demonstrated evidence of hypo -to hyper heterogenic parenchyma with moderate heterogeneity, which are characteristic of BPH. X-ray findings about prostate volume showed that 85% of the patients studied had an increase in prostate volume, enlarged soft tissue shadow in the caudal abdomen or cranially to the pelvis but caudally to the bladder. These data were found out in 13% more patients than those with ultrasound data for BHP. In this study, computed tomography demonstrated structural changes and precise prostate size in all 10 patients with suspected BPH. The CASA results showed that the percentage of static sperm was significantly higher in dogs with BPH than in healthy dogs. At the same time, there was a decline in the percentage of cells with progressive movement at a rapid and medium rate of movement in patients with BPH compared to those data in healthy dogs. These changes could have a negative effect on the fertilising potential of the sperm. The obtained results suggested that the application of CT and CASA for early diagnosis of BPH in dog breeders from rare and valuable breeds is advisable and useful for timely prevention and treatment of the disease.

This paper considers chemical and analytical aspects of the preparation of samples of marine ferromanganese deposits (FMD) by stepwise selective leaching to determine their phase composition. The behaviour of samples with different mineral and chemical compositions at various stages of their preparation was studied on the base of the FMD sample from the Eastern Pacific. The paper shows the necessity of further scanning-electron-microscopy (SEM) method-based research to control the complete dissolution of Fe compounds responsible for accumulating trace elements, which are geochemical indicators.

Abstract Population studies point to regional and ethnicity‐specific differences in genetic predisposition for some lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs). The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of the three treatable forms of lysosomal storage disorders (Gaucher disease [GD], Pompe disease [PD], and Fabry disease [FD]) in a cohort of mostly urban‐dwelling individuals of African ancestry, a previously unknown genetic landscape for LSDs. Large‐scale selective multistep biochemical and genetic screening was performed in patients seeking healthcare for various health concerns. Fluorimetric enzyme assays for GD, PD, and FD were performed on dried blood spots. Targeted gene sequencing was performed on samples that showed significantly lower enzyme activities ( G; p.T158A, (b) c.503G > T; p.R168L, (c) c.1985del. Regarding FD, two subjects had pathogenic GLA mutations, and four had single nucleotide polymorphisms in the 5'UTR, previously implicated in modulating gene expression. The findings highlight a higher incidence of abnormal enzyme levels and pathogenic mutations in the target population reflecting ancestry‐based specific genotype and phenotype variations.

Purpose. A dynamic comparative analysis of the results of identification of Vibrio cholerae (V. cholera) isolates from water and human specimens isolated during the monitoring of cholera throughout the Russian Federation in 2013–2019.Materials and methods. Total 385 strains of V. cholerae O1 serogroup (including one toxigenic V. cholerae O1 El Tor Inaba — Rostov region, 2014) and the R-variant from environment objects were identified in the territory of 21 regions of the Russian Federation.Results. It was found that 91% of the strains were isolated in 7 regions of the Russian Federation: Republic of Kalmykia, Krasnodar Krai, Transbaikal Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Primorsky Krai, Rostov region and Irkutsk region. 2.3% of strains were atypical in their agglutinability, and 75.3% of strains had atypical phagosensitivity. Phagotypes were identified for 13.2% of strains isolated in 11 administrative territories. Phageotype 11 included 48.8% of the strains isolated mainly in the Transbaikal Krai. Non-toxigenic strains of V. cholerae nonО1/nonO139 (n = 46) were isolated from 43 patients with acute intestinal infections and otitis in 8 regions of Russia. PCRtyping of 377 non-toxigenic V. cholerae strains demonstrated that they belong to 13 clusters and 71 genotypes. Strains with unique genotypes (probable cases of importation) and with the same genotypes repeatedly isolated in different years in one or several territories of the Russian Federation were identified, indicating the prevalence of strains in environment throughout the country.Conclusion. The results allowed us to characterize the epidemiological situation of cholera in Russia (in terms of the environment contamination with V. cholerae O1) as unstable, but not significantly changed over the past 7-year period. These data are important for substantiating the forecast for further development of the epidemiological situation.

Introduction. Investigating early changes in the emotional sphere within the schizophrenia course is a perspective direction in clinical psychology and psychiatry. Intactness of positive emotions, in particular, humour perception, may be a very important resource for patients. At the same time, humour perception is very sensitive to pathological conditions, such as the fear of being laughed at, known as gelotophobia. Those with gelotophobia perceive laughter as dangerous, rather than pleasant, and they can hardly distinguish between teasing and ridicule. Gelotophobia was confirmed to be expressed among people with mental disorders. Nonetheless, knowledge relating to the fear of being laughed at, was mostly generated among the non-clinical samples. Objectives. Thus, the aim of the study was to provide more clinical data on gelotophobia manifestations associated with schizophrenia spectrum disorders; the emotional response and facial expression of patients with gelotophobia were studied, in particular, regarding their perception of humour, including during the early stages of disorders, by comparison with healthy individuals. Methods. n=30 controls and n=32 patients with schizophrenia and with depression with signs of a high clinical risk of psychosis took part. Two short videos, comic and neutral, were shown to the participants, while videotaping their facial expression, followed each by a self-reported measure of emotional responses. Participants also completed the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, the PhoPhiKat30 and the Toronto Alexithymia Scale. Results. Gelotophobia was significantly higher within the clinical group. It correlated with a lower frequency of grins among the patients during the comic video, while this was not the case in the control group. Gelotophobia was related to state and trait anxiety in both groups, but only in the clinical group did state anxiety increase after watching the comic video. Gelotophobia correlated with alexithymia and was twice higher among the patients compared to the controls. Conclusion. Thus, gelotophobia has not only quantitative, but also qualitative specifics in patients with schizophrenia, and those with depression with signs of a clinically high risk of psychosis, compared to healthy controls.

The mobile complexes of the specialized anti-epidemic teams (SAET) of the Rospotrebnadzor (mounted on the platform of auto chassis) have been actively involved in implementation of operational measures to counter COVID‑19 in the Russian Federation, aimed at management and conducting of diagnostic studies. Analysis of the activities of mobile SAET in Moscow and Makhachkala made it possible to formulate the basic principles of organizing their work in the most difficult period of negative development of the situation, increasing incidence and insufficient readiness of laboratory bases for mass research: tactics of advance actions, flexibility in using the potential of SAET mobile complexes, monitoring over the implementation of anti-contamination measures at all stages of PCR analysis and the development of a consultative and methodological (training) aspects of activities of the team specialists. The use of mobile SAETs of the Rospotrebnadzor once again demonstrated their significance as a universal tool to counter epidemics of infectious diseases.

Research with students was conducted at the Trakia University- Stara Zagora. Sixty-six students (women) from the first and second year of their study from all specialties in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Economics participated in the research. They were randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group (36 students) and a control group (30 students). The purpose of the research was to discover the impact of the experimental methods for preparing the physical characteristics of the student. For the purpose of the research were applied - Theoretical Analysis, Sports and Pedagogical Tests, Pedagogical Experiment, Variation Analysis, Graphic Analysis and Comparative Analysis. A test battery including 5 tests for physical characteristics was prepared. From the analysis of the results can be seen that the conducted research was successful and the used methods were effective.

Considering the different teaching methodologies, we find that Variable-Playing Methodology (VIM) is recommended as an effective tool for initial training in the various collective - team sports. The basis of the VIM is the development of technical skills and motor habits in conditions close to the game. Learning and refining individual technical and tactical techniques in variations or through the game itself is a basic principle of VIM, advocated and successfully applied in many collective sports - basketball, volleyball, football, handball, hockey, and more. The introduction of VIM in the training of adolescent football players will be important from a scientific and purely applied point of view, as a sport on a global scale is still in its 'young' age, and is barely passing in Bulgaria. The purpose of the present study is to apply VIM efficacy in the training of 8-9 year-old children in floorball training to trace and analyze the development of the main technical and conditioning training indicators. The contingent of experimental work and sports-pedagogical testing were 16 children born in 2009 practicing floorball in Bulgaria - a control group and 16 children of the same age practicing playing at the Skala Club, Melitopol, Ukraine - an experimental group.

The article is devoted to the consideration of extraterritorial publications on the Chuvash theme. The purpose of the work is to identify the essential features of the foreign layer of the Chuvash book. The conclusions of the work are based on a quantitative and qualitative analysis of bibliographic indexes and a direct study of the books themselves de visu. The authors of the article consider foreign books as an important component of modern Chuvash culture, endowed with communicative, cognitive-cumulative, ethno-presentative and educational functions. Extraterritorial editions of the Chuvash book appeared in the first half of the 19th century, and only by the end of the 20th century they formed an independent layer. At the same time, one should objectively speak of two exteriorics – the Chuvash and by the poet G. Aygi. Each of them is represented by almost 150 publications. The predominant problematic of the foreign language layer of the Chuvash book proper is the Chuvash language. Moreover, its notable aspect is the publication of books in the Chuvash language or their publication with parallel texts in Sweden and Turkey. G. Aygi’s foreign publications are already represented by collections of poems in Russian, published by the publishing house of the artist N. Dronnikov in France. This work is a publication that should provide an introduction to the scientific use of literature that has not yet become the property of the Chuvash Studies. Its task is to promote the full functioning of modern Chuvash science in conjunction with the world one. The authors come to the conclusion that, in general, the foreign layer of the Chuvash book has an enduring value, and many of the scientific publications published in the past are rightly elevated to the rank of classical ones by the scientists.
