The aim of this paper was to prove the relationship between motor skills and anthropometric characteristics as a predictive system with effectiveness and results in running the discipline at 400 meters as situational-motor variables of the criteria system. The research was done by testing 60 samples of men 18 years old, ± 6 months, of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in Prishtina. Regarding the anthropometric variable, bigger correlation has been shown by the variable dermal tipple of the arm (AMTP) which correlate positively with running in 400 meter, from which we can conclude that the fullest in the upper limbs are students, the more slowly realize running in the 400 meters and conversely. The measurements were executed during September in the hall of the Faculty, in 400 meter runs in the stadium "FadilVokrri" Prishtina. The only condition that was used during the determination of the sample was: that the students are involved in regular physical education classes (and on the day of the measurement be healthy, without the flu, cold or other symptoms). The variables which are applied in this research have been 8 anthropometric variables and 1 motor-specific variables. The results obtained after their processing indicate that the impact of anthropometric variables is higher in running 400 meters. Short distance running and long distance running reduces the impact of anthropometric parameters whereas the influence of metabolic factors of energy production is increased. These results were also confirmed using regression analysis, so that groups of predictors of anthropometric characteristics, specific motor skills that statistically significantly influenced each variable of individual criteria. The results obtained from regression analysis indicate that in the variable 400 m running from low start (MV400MU) does not affect any anthropometric variables applied.We can emphasize that the test (F-test) is more valuable if the multiple correlation is greater, in the concrete case of this paper is significant (Sig = 0.645), because the value of the F-test is = 0.753.

The private sector has emerged as a crucial source of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) care in many low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Quality within the MNCH private sector varies and has not been established systematically. This study systematically reviews findings on private-sector delivery of quality MNCH care in LMICs through the six domains of quality care (QoC) (i.e., efficiency, equity, effectiveness, people-centered care, safety, and timeliness). We registered the systematic review with PROSPERO international prospective register of systematic reviews (registration number CRD42019143383) and followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement for clear and transparent reporting of systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Searches were conducted in eight electronic databases and two websites. For inclusion, studies in LMICs must have examined at least one of the following outcomes using qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods: maternal morbidity, maternal mortality, newborn morbidity, newborn mortality, child morbidity, child mortality, service utilization, quality of care, and/or experience of care including respectful care. Outcome data was extracted for descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Of the 139 included studies, 110 studies reported data on QoC. Most studies reporting on QoC occurred in India (19.3%), Uganda (12.3%), and Bangladesh (8.8%). Effectiveness was the most widely measured quality domain with 55 data points, followed by people-centered care (n = 52), safety (n = 47), timeliness (n = 31), equity (n = 24), and efficiency (n = 4). The review showed inconsistencies in care quality across private and public facilities, with quality varying across the six domains. Factors such as training, guidelines, and technical competence influenced the quality. There were also variations in how domains like “people-centered care” have been understood and measured over time. The review underscores the need for clearer definitions of “quality” and practical QoC measures, central to the success of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and equitable health outcomes. This research addresses how quality MNCH care has been defined and operationalized to understand how quality is delivered across the private health sector and the larger health system. Numerous variables and metrics under each QoC domain highlight the difficulty in systematizing QoC. Despite global commitment to universal health coverage with quality, poor quality of care (QOC) continues to impact health outcomes for mothers and newborns, especially in low-and-middle income countries. Although there is much experience from small-scale projects, without a long-term perspective it is unclear how to implement quality of care effectively and consistently for impact. In 2017, ten countries together with the WHO and a coalition of partners established the Network for Improving Quality of Care for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (the Network). The Network agreed to pursue four strategic objectives—Leadership, Action, Learning and Accountability (LALA) for QOC. This paper describes, analyses and reflects on what has worked and some of the challenges faced in implementation of the LALA framework. The implementation of the LALA framework has served as a catalyst to develop an enabling environment for QOC in the Network countries through strengthening the policy, implementation, accountability and community engagement for quality care. Developing an enabling health system environment takes time, but it is possible and shows results. The implementation shows that health systems continue to face persistent challenges such as capacities to quickly scale up changes across subnational levels, limited workforce capability to implement quality improvement consistently and gaps in quality of relevant data. The implementation has also highlighted the need to develop new mechanisms for community engagement and learning systems that inform scaling up of good QOC practices across programmes and levels of care. Moving forward, the Network countries will build on the experiences and lessons learned and continue to strengthen the implementation of LALA strategic objectives for impact. We hope the Network experience will encourage other countries and partners to adopt the Network implementation model to enable delivery of quality care for everyone, everywhere, and actively collaborate and contribute to the QOC global learning network.

Abstract Background Experience of care is a pillar of quality care; positive experiences are essential during health care encounters and integral to quality health service delivery. Yet, we lack synthesised knowledge of how private sector delivery of quality care affects experiences of care amongst mothers, newborns, and children. To fill this gap, we conducted a systematic review that examined quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods studies on the provision of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) care by private providers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This manuscript focuses on experience of care, including respectful care, and satisfaction with care. Methods Our protocol followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. Searches were conducted in eight electronic databases (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health, EconLit, Excerpta Medica Database, International Bibliography of the Social Sciences, Popline, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science) and two websites and supplemented with hand-searches and expert recommendations. For inclusion, studies examining private sector delivery of quality care amongst mothers, newborns, and children in LMICs must have examined maternal, newborn, and/or child morbidity or mortality; quality of care; experience of care; and/or service utilisation. Data were extracted for descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Results Of the 139 studies included, 45 studies reported data on experience of care. Most studies reporting experience of care were conducted in India, Bangladesh, and Uganda. Experiences of private care amongst mothers, newborns, and children aligned with four components of quality of care: patient-centeredness, timeliness, effectiveness, and equity. Interpersonal relationships with health care workers were essential to experience of care, in particular staff friendliness, positive attitudes, and time spent with health care providers. Experience of care can be a stronger determining factor in MNCH-related decision-making than the quality of services provided. Conclusion Positive experiences of care in private facilities can be linked more broadly to privileges of private care that allow for shorter waiting times and more provider time spent with mothers, newborns, and children. Little is known about experiences of private sector care amongst children. How the immune responses induced by SARS-CoV-2 and human coronavirus (hCoV) crosstalk is still unclear. Context: Kosovo is a region in the Western Balkans that is rich in minerals and coal, so pollution is a serious public health problem there. Workers in the heavy and precious metal smeltery in Zveqan, Kosovo, were studied with regard to the roles that vapor from the smelting of metals (Pb, Zn, Au, Ag, P, and Cu) and particulate matter play in causing bronchial hyperreactivity. Objectives: The purpose of the article was to measure the parameters of lung function as determined by body plethysmography, diagnosis of respiratory diseases, and assessment of respiratory function using a histamine bronchoprovocation test. Settings and Design: The present study was conducted in two groups of participants: A control group, which included 25 healthy persons, and a smeltery worker group, which included 45 mine workers (15 smokers and 30 nonsmokers) holding permanent jobs in the mineral foundry of Zvecan, Kosovo. Subjects and Methods: Pulmonary function parameters (specific airway resistance [Raw] and intrathoracic gas volume) were measured and used to calculate the specific resistance (SRaw)and specific conductance (SGaw) of the airways, and a histamine bronchoprovocation test was conducted. Statistical Analysis Used: The data were entered and analyzed using the Microsoft Excel and INSTAT 3 software. Results: Airway specific resistance (SRaw) was significantly higher in the smeltery worker group (P < 0.01) as compared to the control group (P > 0.1). Conclusion: These results suggest that occupational exposure to vapors during the metal refining process poses a risk to the workers' health and can cause bronchial hyperreactivity, bronchial asthma, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Infection with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) affects most humans worldwide and persists life-long in the presence of robust virus-specific T-cell responses. In both immunocompromised and some immunocompetent people, EBV causes several cancers and lymphoproliferative diseases. EBV transforms B cells in vitro and encodes at least 44 microRNAs (miRNAs), most of which are expressed in EBV-transformed B cells, but their functions are largely unknown. Recently, we showed that EBV miRNAs inhibit CD4+ T-cell responses to infected B cells by targeting IL-12, MHC class II, and lysosomal proteases. Here we investigated whether EBV miRNAs also counteract surveillance by CD8+ T cells. We have found that EBV miRNAs strongly inhibit recognition and killing of infected B cells by EBV-specific CD8+ T cells through multiple mechanisms. EBV miRNAs directly target the peptide transporter subunit TAP2 and reduce levels of the TAP1 subunit, MHC class I molecules, and EBNA1, a protein expressed in most forms of EBV latency and a target of EBV-specific CD8+ T cells. Moreover, miRNA-mediated down-regulation of the cytokine IL-12 decreases the recognition of infected cells by EBV-specific CD8+ T cells. Thus, EBV miRNAs use multiple, distinct pathways, allowing the virus to evade surveillance not only by CD4+ but also by antiviral CD8+ T cells.

Objective: the aim of the research was to determine the differences in fitness components among children and adolescents from urban and rural areas. Design/method: A sample of 5076 school children (2877) and adolescents (2199) from urban and rural areas from the region of Strumica (Macedonia). Physical fitness is estimated with 7 tests and that: standing long jump, sit-ups, bent arm hang, handgrip, sit and reach, speed-agility, shuttle run 4x10 and three-minute step test. The differences in fitness tests, anthropometric measures and body composition by place of residence were examined by one-way analysis of covariance. Results: Rural children and adolescent have lower height, body mass BMI and body fat % and had higher muscular mass % cardiorespiratory fitness and speed-agility (all p < 0.001), than urban young people. Regarding muscular fitness, the results differed depending on the fitness test selected. Rural children and adolescent had a better performance in standing long jump, handgrip strength bent arm hang while they had a lower performance in sit-ups in 30 s (all p < 0.001), compared to their urban peers. Effect size was small-medium (Cohen’s d = 0.1–0.5). Conclusion: children and adolescents from the rural environment show better results in cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle fitness of the upper and lower extremities and have better coordination, speed and agility in comparison with their urban peers. The place of residence, apart from other environmental factors, should be taken into account when building a state strategy and interventions through which it will promote physical activity and health.

One of those methods is the test method, which belongs to the group of methods that deal with collecting, that is, obtaining data, both in theoretical and empirical scientific research, or in combined theoreticalempirical research. The data is obtained directly and in verbal contact between the scientific researcher and the subject through the research method. It is a classic method of social science methodology that is also very applicable in the field of security sciences. The research method uses three basic techniques for its operationalization in the scientific research process: interview (scientific conversation), survey, and test. A significant number of criminologists, applying the theory of routine activities, believe that a criminal offense is the result of three convergent elements that combine in time and space (a motivated perpetrator, a suitable target, and the absence of adequate protection). When analyzing these three independent factors, custody is usually given a less significant position in this triangle, without any real reason. It is important to point out that the social structure can significantly affect any form of its violation because ordinary citizens can largely protect each other, as well as citizens' property. In the context of this paper, we will consider routine activities in the light of certain daily determining activities, such as education, economic crises, unemployment, mass communication means, migration, family circumstances, and free time, which can be key to explaining the rate of increase or decrease in crime. When all these activities are analyzed through the theory of routine activity, then we can have a complete overview in terms of criminal activity and the exposure to a criminal act of an individual or the social community as a whole. This paper aims to discuss issues on learner autonomy and teachers’ effort and responsibility in promoting autonomous learning in English language classrooms. The concept of learner autonomy is a focus of many researchers in different countries. Many researchers and academics consider this phenomenon as a central concern in language learning. In cultivating learner autonomy there is a two-way street; the teacher whose role is highly important in fostering and encouraging learners to learn in an autonomous way and the learner who is responsible for his/her own learning after getting the required need and help from the teacher. However, teachers around the world still struggle with the ways to foster autonomous learning in the language classroom or outside it. Therefore, this study was conducted in three high schools in Gjilan, where 30 teachers were interviewed in order to find out if they promote autonomous learning, and if so, how much effort and responsibility they show with their learners, and their opinions on the necessity in promoting Learner Autonomy (LA) in English classrooms. As a result, study findings show that the interviewed teachers are aware of the importance, but regarding the implementation of learner autonomy however, they still struggle on implementing it into practice in their classrooms stating reasons which hinder this important issue in English language teaching.

Abstract Background In 2000, the Millennium Development Goals set targets for social achievements by 2015 including goals related to maternal and child health, with mixed success. Several initiatives supported these goals including assuring availability of appropriate medicines and commodities to meet health service targets. To reach the new Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, information is needed to address policy and systems factors to improve access to lifesaving commodities. Methods We compiled indicator data on 15 commodities related to reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) and analyzed them across 75 Countdown to 2015 countries from eight regions to identify problems with specific commodities and determinants of access. The determinants related to policy, regulatory environment, financing, pharmaceutical procurement and supply chain, and information systems. We mapped commodity information from four datasets from the World Health Organization and the United Nation’s Commission on Life Saving Commodities creating a stoplight dashboard to illustrate countries’ environment to assure access. We also developed a dashboard for policy and systems indicators for select countries. Results The commodities we identified as having the fewest barriers to access had been in use longer, including oral rehydration solution and oxytocin injection. Looking across the different systems and policy determinants of access, only Zimbabwe had all 15 commodities on both its essential medicines list and in its standard treatment guidelines, and only Cameroon and Zambia had at least one product registered for each commodity. Senegal alone procured all tracer commodities centrally in the previous year, and 70% of responding countries had costed plans for maternal, newborn, and child health. No country reported recent stock-outs of all the 15 commodities at the central level—countries always had some of the 15 commodities available; however, products with frequent stock-outs included misoprostol, calcium gluconate, penicillin injections, ceftriaxone, and amoxicillin dispersible tablets. Conclusions This analysis highlights country deficiencies in policies and systems, such as incoherent policy guidelines, problems in product registration, lack of logistics data, and central-level stock-outs that may affect access to essential RMNCH commodities. To tackle these deficiencies, countries need to integrate commodity-related indicators into other health monitoring activities to improve service quality.

# Background In 2012, the UN Commission on Life Saving Commodities (UNCoLSC) articulated a series of recommendations to expand access to 13 life-saving reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) commodities with the greatest potential to reduce preventable deaths. We conducted a five-year longitudinal assessment of progress towards achieving these recommendations among countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. # Methods Between 2013 and 2017, national reviews were undertaken at two time points among 14 countries with a high burden of preventable maternal-child deaths who were receiving support from a multi-UN agency RMNCH technical support and financing mechanism. Data were drawn from national health documentation (e.g. strategic plans, policies, guidelines); logistics management information systems; national household and health facility surveys; and interviews with governments and development partners. # Results Over time, the percent of health facilities with stock availability showed a statistically significant increase of five percentage points from 69% to 74% (median). Recent training at health facility also displayed a significant increase of eight percentage points from 38% to 46% (median). National RMNCH coordination mechanisms, treatment guidelines, and national training curricula and job-aids were near fully redressed. However, countries continue to face persistent supply chain challenges including national stock-outs, tracking commodities throughout the supply chain, and strengthening medicine control laboratories. # Conclusions While substantial progress has been made in improving access to life-saving commodities, including stock availability and workforce training at health facilities, additional efforts are required to improve regulatory efficiency, enhance commodity quality and safety, and reduce supply chain fragmentation.
