Objective: to compare the immediate and long-term outcomes of patients with early breast cancer treated with intraoperative radial therapy depending on the biological subtype of breast cancer.Materials and methods. We prospectively evaluated number of recurrences, cosmetic effect and early treatment results of 104 patients with early breast cancer aged 66.72 ± 0.68 years old. The mean follow-up period was 36 months. The mean dose on the surface of applicator was 17.8 Gy, on the depth 0.5 cm – 8.8 Gy, on the depth 1.0 cm – 5 Gy. The mean time of radiation was 22.15 min ± 28.09 sec.Results. The local recurrence was in 3 patients. The first patient had triple negative breast cancer subtype, the second patient had luminal B HER2+, and the third one had luminal B HER2– subtype. Relapses occurred in 7, 14 and 20 months after the end of treatment respectively. The recurrence rate in patients with luminal B biological subtype was 10.71 %; in patients with triple negative subtype was 20 %. All recurrences were found in the area of the postoperative scar.Conclusion. The obtained results question the rationale for the use of the demonstrated method in patients with luminal B and triple negative molecular subtypes of tumors.

Ever feel concerned that you may not achieve your career goals or feel worried about where your life is going? Such examples may reflect the experience of status anxiety, that is, concerns that one may be stuck or not able to move up in life, or worries that one may be too low in standing compared to society’s standards. Status anxiety is believed to be exacerbated by economic inequality and negatively affect well-being. While job satisfaction is an important determinant of well-being, no research has examined whether status anxiety can also help explain people’s satisfaction with their jobs. We tested whether status anxiety differs from other organizational constructs and uniquely relates to job satisfaction among full-time working adults. In a pilot study, we found that status anxiety is separate from the concept of job insecurity (e.g., perceived threat of job loss). Results of our main study also indicated that higher status anxiety significantly predicted lower job satisfaction beyond several other indicators of organizational attitudes (job insecurity, occupational self-efficacy, distributive, procedural, and interactional justice), as well as the tendency to seek status and several background factors (e.g., income, education, perceived socioeconomic status). We discuss the unique role of status anxiety in job satisfaction and the implications of this research to our understanding of status concerns, as well as organizational attitudes and policies.

Recent functional imaging studies have proposed that the human entorhinal cortex (ERC) is subdivided into functionally distinct anterolateral (alERC) and posteromedial (pmERC) subregions. The alERC overlaps with regions that are affected earliest by Alzheimer's disease pathology, yet its cognitive function remains poorly understood. Previous human fMRI studies have focused on its role in object memory, but rodent studies on the putatively homologous lateral entorhinal cortex suggest that it also plays an important role in representing spatial properties of objects. To investigate the cognitive effects of human alERC volume differences, we developed an eye-tracking-based task to evaluate intra-item configural processing (i.e., processing the arrangement of an object's features) and used manual segmentation based on a recently developed protocol to delineate the alERC/pmERC and other medial temporal lobe (MTL) subregions. In a group of older adult men and women at varying stages of brain atrophy and cognitive decline, we found that intra-item configural processing, regardless of an object's novelty, was strongly predicted by alERC volume, but not by the volume of any other MTL subregion. These results provide the first evidence that the human alERC plays a role in supporting a distinct aspect of object processing, namely attending to the arrangement of an object's component features.SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENTAlzheimer's disease pathology appears earliest in brain regions that overlap with the anterolateral entorhinal cortex (alERC). However, the cognitive role of the alERC is poorly understood. Previous human studies treat the alERC as an extension of the neighboring perirhinal cortex, supporting object memory. Animal studies suggest that the alERC may support the spatial properties of objects. In a group of older adult humans at the earliest stages of cognitive decline, we show here that alERC volume selectively predicted configural processing (attention to the spatial arrangement of an object's parts). This is the first study to demonstrate a cognitive role related to alERC volume in humans. This task can be adapted to serve as an early detection method for Alzheimer's disease pathology.

The present paper aims at carrying out structural and lexical analysis of two contrasting plays –Shakespeare´s Hamlet and Sumarokov´s Gamlet- in a specific linguistic domain. In this contribution, we will attempt to gain some insight into two essential content words: vengeance and hono(u)r, their derivatives and related words, through quantitative analysis of these words and qualitative analysis of their collocates and concordances. Collocational approach will be used to analyse and compare the ways the authors perceive the concepts of vengeance and hono(u)r. In general, the findings will indicate important similarities and/or differences between the structures of the plays per acts and both texts´ basic contents in relation to two important topics -vengeance and hono(u)r.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo un análisis estructural y léxico de dos obras contrastivas –Hamlet de Shakespeare y Gamlet de Sumarokov- en un dominio lingüístico específico. En esta contribución, intentaremos adentrarse en el estudio de dos sustantivos: venganza y honor, sus derivados y palabras relacionadas- a través de un análisis cuantitativo de las mismas y el análisis cualitativo de sus colocados y concordancias. El método de los colocados será utilizado para analizar y comparar el modo en que los autores perciben los conceptos de venganza y honor. En general, los resultados van a señalar las similitudes y/o diferencias importantes entre las estructuras de las obras por actos y los contenidos básicos de ambos textos en relación con dos temas importantes, tal como, venganza y honor.
