In this work, we propose a new inertial method for solving strongly monotone variational inequality problems over the solution set of a split variational inequality and composed fixed point problem in real Hilbert spaces. Our method uses stepsizes that are generated at each iteration by some simple computations, which allows it to be easily implemented without the prior knowledge of the operator norm as well as the Lipschitz constant of the operator. In addition, we prove that the proposed method converges strongly to a minimum-norm solution of the problem without using the conventional two cases approach. Furthermore, we present some numerical experiments to show the efficiency and applicability of our method in comparison with other methods in the literature. The results obtained in this paper extend, generalize and improve results in this direction.

Out of seven billion of the world’s population, two billion and two million that amounts to 31.43% have visual impairment or blindness according to the World Health Organization (WHO) statistics report. Hence, the need to develop a wearable device with reduced size, efficient power usage, and for more comfortability of the visually impaired or blind people. This work aims at designing an obstacle detection system using an ultrasonic sensor interfaced with an Arduino board to track location, alert patient, and send location messages of visually impaired patient to guardians as a feedback mechanism using a GPRS and GSM module. The C programming language was used as the instruction code to interface Arduino device to carry out given tasks. At the design level, the circuit was first tested on Proteus software for simulation purposes before its hardware implementation. The results obtained from the test show the variation of distance as the patient approaches the obstacle, and messages received when a fix was obtained. This design concept would help reduce danger across the way of those with sight defects and allow them to go to familiar places without any aid smoothly.

In this paper, we obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique fixed point of $T$- mean nonexpansive mapping and an integral type of $T$- mean nonexpansive mapping. We also obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of coincidence point and common fixed point for a Jungck-type mean nonexpansive mapping in the frame work of a complete metric space. Some examples of $T$-mean nonexpansive and Jungck-type mean nonexpansive mappings which are not mean nonexpansive mapping are given. The result obtained generalizes corresponding results in this direction in the literature.

The research efforts of this paper is to present a new inertial relaxed Tseng extrapolation method with weaker conditions for approximating the solution of a variational inequality problem, where the underlying operator is only required to be pseudomonotone. The strongly pseudomonotonicity and inverse strongly monotonicity assumptions which the existing literature used are successfully weakened. The strong convergence of the proposed method to a minimum-norm solution of a variational inequality problem are established. Furthermore, we present an application and some numerical experiments to show the efficiency and applicability of our method in comparison with other methods in the literature.

In this paper, we introduce a new type of a generalized split monotone variational inclusion (GSMVI) problem in the framework of real Hilbert spaces. By incorporating an inertial extrapolation method and an Halpern iterative technique, we establish a strong convergence result for approximating a solution of GSMVI and fixed point problems of certain nonlinear mappings in the framework of real Hilbert spaces. Many existing results are derived as corollaries to our main result. Furthermore, we present a numerical example to support our main result and propose an open problem for interested researchers in this area. The result obtained in this paper improves and generalizes many existing results in the literature.

In this paper, we present some fixed point results for a generalized class of nonexpansive mappings in the framework of uniformly convex hyperbolic space and also propose a new iterative scheme for approximating the fixed point of this class of mappings in the framework of uniformly convex hyperbolic spaces. Furthermore, we establish some basic properties and some strong and $\triangle$-convergence theorems for these mappings in uniformly convex hyperbolic spaces. Finally, we present an application to the nonlinear integral equation and also, a numerical example to illustrate our main result and then display the efficiency of the proposed algorithm compared to different iterative algorithms in the literature with different choices of parameters and initial guesses. The results obtained in this paper extends and generalizes corresponding results in uniformly convex Banach spaces, CAT(0) spaces and other related results in literature.

In this paper, we provide some generalizations of the Darbo's fixed point theorem and further develop the notion of $F$-contraction introduced by Wardowski in (\cite{wad}, D. Wardowski, \emph{Fixed points of a new type of contractive mappings in complete metric spaces,} Fixed Point Theory and Appl., 94, (2012)). To achieve this, we introduce the notion of Darbo-type $F$-contraction, cyclic $(\alpha,\beta)$-admissible operator and we also establish some fixed point and common fixed point results for this class of mappings in the framework of Banach spaces. In addition, we apply our fixed point results to establish the existence of solution to a Volterra type integral equation.

In this paper, we introduce a new three steps iteration process, prove that our newly proposed iterative scheme can be used to approximate the fixed point of a contractive-like mapping and establish some convergence results for our newly proposed iterative scheme generated by a mapping satisfying condition (E) in the framework of uniformly convex Banach space. In addition, with the aid of numerical examples, we established that our newly proposed iterative scheme is faster than the iterative process introduced by Ullah et al., [26], Karakaya et al., [16], Abass et. al. [1] and some existing iterative scheme in literature. More so, the stability of our newly proposed iterative process is presented and we also gave some numerical examples to display the efficiency of our proposed algorithm.

In this paper, we propose a new Halpern-type inertial extrapolation method for approximating common solutions of the system of split variational inequalities for two inverse-strongly monotone operators, the variational inequality problem for monotone operator, and the fixed point of composition of two nonlinear mappings in real Hilbert spaces. We establish that the proposed method converges strongly to an element in the solution set of the aforementioned problems under certain mild conditions. In addition, we present some numerical experiments to show the efficiency and applicability of our method in comparison with some related methods in the literature. This result improves and generalizes many recent results in this direction in the literature.

We introduce a new type of (?, ?)-admissibility and (?, ?)-Z-contraction mappings in the frame work of Gb-metric spaces. Using these concepts, fixed point results for (?, ?)-Z-contraction mappings in the frame work of complete Gb-metric spaces are established. As an application, we discuss the existence of solution for integral equation of the form: x(t) = g(t) + ?10 K(t, s, u(s))ds, t ? [0, 1], O. T. Mewomowhere K : [0, 1]×[0, 1]×R ? R and g : [0, 1] ? R are continuous functions. The results obtained in this paper generalize, unify and improve the results of Liu et al., [19], Antonio-Francisco et al. [25], Khojasteh et al. [16], Kumar et al. [18] and others in this direction.
