The research attempts to determine the nature of mythologism in modern prose of Kazakhstan, to explain the use of myths in the novels by Abdizhamil Nurpeisov, A. Zhaksylykov and N. Verevochkin, which are representatives of the spiritual and intellectual stream in the modern literary process. The subject of the authors’ research is the multifunctionality of myth, its semantics and structure-forming function in the works of Kazakhstani prose writers of the late XXth - early XXI centuries. In the first part of the article, the main attention is paid to the mythopoetics of A. Nurpeisov’s dilogy “Last Duty”, the interpretation of mythologeme and the meaning of the actions of the protagonist, which we consider as a mythological hero. The second part is devoted to the analysis of the mythological plot of Aslan Zhaksylykov’s novel “Singing Stones”, the interpretation of the symbolism of the sacred stone Yin-Yang. The next section deals with the novel of Nikolai Verevochkin, which we treat as a myth-novel.

Introduction. In recent years in Russian theory and practice more and more attention has been paid to the transition to a green economy through the introduction of innovative clean technologies that ensure resource conservation and increased attention to environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. Rural territories of the country’s regions are significantly differentiated by all elements of sustainable development: economy, quality of life and the state of the environment. If the first two elements are actively promoted through the implementation of targeted programs and projects, then the preservation of natural potential, the prevention of environmental degradation by reducing its pollution is not being implemented enough. So, the purpose of the article is, on the basis of the study, to determine the priority areas for the introduction of green technologies in agriculture, contributing to the solution of environmental and social problems of administrative-territorial entities. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted on the materials of official data of Rosstat, reports of state executive authorities (for example, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia), as well as other information and analytical organizations. The empirical material was processed by using statistical methods (groupings, cluster analysis), which represents an assessment of the socio-economic situation, human development, the state of the environment of 14 subjects of the Volga Federal District, on the basis of which directions for the transition of rural areas to a green course of development are proposed. Results. The transformation of rural management is considered in the paradigm of sustainable development with an emphasis on nature conservation through the development of scientifically based regional models for the phased solution of acute environmental problems in accordance with financial capabilities and competencies. A conceptual model of transition to the green course of sustainable development of rural areas is proposed, including diagnostics of problems, conditions and factors of the state of the environment, social sphere and economy. Discussion and Conclusion. Due to the existing complexity of the rural economy and significant differences in the composition and structure of economic entities in the regions, their strategic goals and priorities for sustainable development are not the same. A model of purposeful transition to organic agriculture has been developed for regions with a predominance of small forms of management.

The condition for stable fixation of a collector on the surface of diamonds and their flotation is the use of collectors of the optimal fractional composition and the choice of the optimum temperature regime of the process. To determine the parameters of the diamond flotation regime, the regularities of the phase transitions of asphaltene-tar fractions at increasing temperature and diluting F-5 with technical diesel fraction were established. It was demonstrated that increasing the collector temperature leads to the transfer of asphaltenetar fractions to a dissolved and finely dispersed state. To an even greater extent, dissolving asphaltene-tar fractions is facilitated by the addition of medium- and low-molecular weight fractions of oil, for instance, a technical diesel fraction.It was revealed that the KM-10, KM-14, and KM-18 reagents, being compounds of F-5 fuel oil with technical diesel fraction (10–18 % DF), were characterized by optimal viscosity and ability to displace aqueous phase from a diamond surface, thus ensuring stable hydrophobization and high floatability of diamonds. The optimal temperature regime has been selected, which involved maintaining the temperature at the stage of conditioning with the collector at +30–40 °С, at which the maximum selective fixation of compound collectors on the diamond surface, characterized by the value of the limiting wetting angle, was achieved. The flotation tests have confirmed that the best results are achieved at a temperature of +30–40 °С at the conditioning stage and +14–24 °С at the flotation stage. At +24 °С, the best results were obtained for the relatively less diluted KM-10 and KM-14 fuel oils obtained by diluting F-5 fuel oil with a technical diesel fraction at the diluent volume fractions of 10 and 14 %. The diamond recovery achieved in the flotation tests was 3.8–4.5 % higher than when using the traditional collector, F-5 fuel oil. At +14 °С, the highly diluted fuel oil, KM-18 with a volume fraction of 18 % of the technical diesel fraction, demonstrated better collecting abilities.The optimal compositions of the collector and the regimes of feed preparation and flotation were tested at a foam separation unit. The tests showed that it is possible to increase diamond recovery into concentrate by 2.3–4.5 %. The recommendations are provided on the use of thermal conditioning in the foam separation cycle and maintaining the conditioning medium temperature at +30–40 °С and the foam separation temperature at +14–24 °С.

The authors deal with the issue of the gender aspect of modern prose. The problem of “women's prose” has existed for a long time, the controversy of the independent status of this concept also has its own history, however, has not received a final solution. The authors of the study propose their solution to this issue, highlighting several fundamentally important markers of feminine discourse, based on three basic foundations: the type of writing, the picture of the world, the image of personality. The analysis of the prose of the famous modern writer E. Nekrasova carried out in this study allows us to identify the differential features of this discourse: renomination, folklore techniques, rejection of binary oppositions, ellipticity of language and special poetry of artistic speech.

The integral yields of secondary low-energy electrons (with energies up to 50 eV) in the interaction of primary electrons 10…30 MeV with 50 μm aluminum foil have been studied. It is shown that the proposed method for approximating the spectra of low-energy electron emission in the measured part of the spectrum (E > 4.2 eV) makes it possible to obtain data on the absolute values of the spectra of electrons emitted from the target. It has been established that the spectra of secondary low-energy electrons, depending on the energy of primary electrons, have a maximum in the range of 1.3…1.6 eV, and the FWHM values are in the range of 2.7…3.8 eV.

Voltage-gated sodium channels are crucial to action potential propagation in excitable tissues. Because of the high amplitude and rapid activation of the sodium current, voltage-clamp measurements are very challenging and are usually performed at room temperature. In this study, we measured sodium current voltage dependence in stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes at physiological temperature. While the apparent activation and inactivation curves, measured as the dependence of current amplitude on voltage step, fall within the range reported in previous studies, we identified a systematic error in our measurements. This error is caused by the deviation of the membrane potential from the command potential of the amplifier. We demonstrate that it is possible to account for this artifact using computer simulation of the patch-clamp experiment. We obtained surprising results through patch-clamp model optimization: the half-activation of -11.5 mV and the half-inactivation of -87 mV. Although the half-activation deviates from the previous research, we demonstrate that this estimate explains the conduction velocity dependence on extracellular potassium concentration.

The flow structure and thermo-hydraulic efficiency of cross flow of tube bundles with dimples and helical grooves have been analyzed. The Reynolds number range (103-104) was typical for industrial heat exсhangers. It was found that dimples and grooves decrease scientifically the cylinder wake area and reduces the hydraulic losses. The heat transfer augmentation in five-row tube bundle by dimples is 35-40% while pressure drop increase by 10-15%. The hydraulic resistance of two-row bundle of tube with helical grooves is 20% lower than that of a smooth tube bundle, while heat transfer augmentation is absent. The value of Reynolds analogy factor for tube bundles with dimples and helical grooves exceeds unity. The high thermo-hydraulic efficiency of tube bundles with dimples and helical grooves, allows us to recommend it for practical use in the development of modern heat exchange equipment of the tubular type.

Purpose. Compilation of the formula of the objective function to determine the cost of transportation of material resources from supplier to consumer (construction site) taking into account the possibility of loss by material resources of their initial physical qualities, which increases the cost of transportation of material resources and the entire construction. Methodology. After analyzing the existing algorithms for determining the target function for the supply of material resources from supplier to consumer, it was concluded that existing algorithms do not take into account all the features of the construction industry, especially the possibility of loss by material resources of their physical characteristics. The need arises for a target function compilation that would make it possible to determine the cost of transportation of material resources with the possibility of repeated or partial supply of material resources. Findings. The results of this work are the analysis of schedules for the supply of material resources from supplier to consumer, taking into account the possibility of the schedule to go beyond the maximum and minimum time of transportation of material resources. There was a complex target function was compiled for the supply of material resources from supplier to consumer, with the possibility of taking into account the re-supply of material resources, or partial re-supply. Scientific originality. This algorithm for determining the target function for the supply of material resources with the possibility of losing their physical qualities in the construction industry was developed for the first time. Practical value. This algorithm allows to determine the real target function of supply of material resources to the construction site with additional costs from the loss of material resources of their physical qualities.

Radical surgical treatment with and without radiation often induces symptoms of premature menopause in cervical cancer (CC) patients. Few retrospective studies seem to suggest that hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) is not detrimental for patients with CC and can improve life quality in this group of women. To investigate the effect of HRT on menopausal symptoms inpatients with С C history, 85 patients after CC treatment, 22-51 years old, were included into this research. In 59 patients HRT was carried out to overcomepostovariectomic syndrome (POES). Severity of menopausal symptoms, serum estradiol, FSH and lipid profiles were evaluated. The research showed high therapeutic effect as to reducing the frequency of postovariectomic frustration in HRT application. No recurrences of CC were observed in this group of patients. HRT side effects were extremely rare. HRT can effectively cure climacteric symptoms in women with surgical menopause induced by CC treatment.

The article considers N. Gumilevs poem The Moon at Sea from the cycle Porcelain Pavilion. New in the work is the interpretation of the poem, the identification and explanation of the Chinese realities of N. Gumilevs poetic text. Revealed the original texts, which became the basis for the creation of N. Gumilevs poem The Moon on the Sea, considered a version of the poem, preserved in the poets manuscript. The authors reasoning and conclusions are based on critical research, which compares two cultures. The analysis of N. Gumilevs poem is carried out in the semantic aspect using the search for textual parallels. Interpretation of N. Gumilevs poem The Moon on the Sea allows, on the other hand, to approach the world outlook of the Silver Age culture, explains the genesis of the image of China in N. Gumilevs poetry.

The main reason of decreasing diamond recovery through froth separation is their surface hydrophilization by hypergene minerals and technogenic films, crystallized from the supersaturated aqueous phase, fixed on the surface structurally or by adhesion. Various types of physical actions, including thermal and ultrasonic treatment of the initial feed of froth separation, are recommended to increase the diamond-bearing kimberlite beneficiation process performance, providing cleaning of the surface of diamonds due to destruction of their accretions with rock minerals and removal of film hydrophilizing coatings from the surface of diamond crystals. A sample of kimberlite material with a given content of diamonds of 1.5–2 mm in size was used as a subject of research in the process of froth separation. The results of thermodynamic calculations and experimental research have substantiated the necessity of using electrochemical conditioning of recycled water for increasing the efficiency of diamond surface cleaning in froth separation operation when using the process of thermal treatment of initial ore feed. The use of diaphragmless electrochemical conditioning of recycled water increases the efficiency of thermochemical dissolution of hydrophilizing compounds on the surface of diamonds through reducing the concentration of calcium and carbonate ions as well as through shifting the medium pH to 6.1–6.5. The measurements of the limiting wetting angle showed that the maximum effect of increasing the diamond surface hydrophobicity was achieved when heat and electrochemical treatment were used together. Laboratory studies showed the possibility of increasing flotation diamond extraction from 65.7 to 91.4 % through application of electrochemical conditioning of recycled water. The optimum parameters of diaphragmless electrochemical treatment of recycled water of the froth separation cycle in conditions of application of pulp heat treatment: current density of 175–200 A/m2 and power consumption of 1.2–1.5 kWh/m3. Tests carried out at processing plant No. 3 of the Mirny GOK (Mining and Processing Complex) (Mirny, Yakutiya) showed that the application of the developed froth separation process intensification method with the use of thermal treatment of pulp and electrochemical diaphragmless treatment of recycled water allowed increasing the recovery of diamonds of +0.5–2 mm size by 4.9–5.1 %.

The article deals with the abuse of law typical for all debtors: the artificial creation of debt, the reduction of the bankruptcy estate by alienating the liquid property of the debtor. Based on the results of the study, the author identifies the features of abuse of law that are characteristic only for the bankruptcy of organizations, in particular, the use of corporate relations, falsification of accounting documents and the features of abuse of law that are identified only in the bankruptcy of citizens - the debtor's investment in expensive residential premises related to the only housing of the debtor.

Annotation. M. I. Pyrohov is a founder of battlefield surgery, organization and medical military services. His ideas laid the foundation of well-managed system of modern medical support services of troops. The article reveals some aspects of the formation of structure of the Medical Service management in the war.

The article studies the features of monitoring of goods turnover, including marking of goods, as well as turnover in the state information system of monitoring over turnover of goods involved in the relations of the operator issuing the codes, marking, collecting information, its storage and provision. The marking functions are defined: the function of analysis of wholesale and retail turnover, information function, identifying and control functions

The thermodynamic analysis and tests of minerogenesis under higher temperatures determine conditions of thermochemical decomposition of hydrophilic attachments on diamond surface. It is found that hydrophilic mineral attachments can be removed from diamond surface by combining thermal treatment of slurry at the temperature of 80–85 $$^\circ$$ C with electrochemical treatment of recirculated water, which enables required change in ion–molecule composition of water phase in the slurry. The hybrid conditioning technology ensures recovery of the natural hydrophobic behavior and floatability of diamonds and enhances performance of froth flotation of diamonds by 5.1%.

A combined passive shield of the RED-100 two-phase emission neutrino detector has been developed and built for suppressing the background of external γ rays and neutrons. The shield is composed of a 5‑cm-thick copper layer (the inner layer is adjacent to the detector) and a water layer with a total thickness of approximately 70 cm (including the water inside the copper shield). The Monte Carlo simulation of the shielding efficiency has been performed. The obtained attenuation factor of the copper shield for the γ-ray background has been experimentally verified in a laboratory test using a NaI(Tl) scintillator detector. The γ‑ray background rejection factor of the full shield has also been calculated.

The research results of multisensors based on optical fiber, the principle of which is to change the conditions of propagation of optical radiation in the optical fiber in the places where macro-bends are formed at the points of impact, are presented in the paper. The formation of macro-bends leads to an additional attenuation of the power of optical radiation propagating through the optical fiber. A single-mode optical fiber was used with the parameters, which are supported by numerous manufacturers and comply with the recommendations of ITU-T G.655. The measurements were carried out for four wavelengths of optical radiation (1310, 1490, 1550, 1625 nm), corresponding to the transparency windows of the optical loss spectrum of the optical fiber. Using optical reflectometry methods, it was determined that the amount of attenuation of optical radiation of each macro-bend formed at the point of action of the multisensor does not depend on the number of simultaneously formed macro-bends and also does not depend on the location of the point of action along the length of the multisensor. The dependences of the attenuation of the optical radiation power introduced by the macro-bends of the optical fiber on the radius, length, or angle of the macro-bends formed at the multisensory impact points are determined experimentally. The obtained dependences also allow one to determine the optimal parameters of the formed macro-bends of the multisensor to obtain the maximum range of attenuation change for each value of the wavelength. The values of the minimum distance between the impact points, the maximum number of impact points and the optimal values of the radius and angle of the optical fiber macro-bend at the impact points are determined. The results obtained provide opportunities to continue the development of multisensors that allow us to receive information about parameters from several impact points, that are located on a single optical fiber, simultaneously.

A search for a new Z^{'} gauge boson associated with (un)broken B-L symmetry in the keV-GeV mass range is carried out for the first time using the missing-energy technique in the NA64 experiment at the CERN SPS. From the analysis of the data with 3.22×10^{11} electrons on target collected during 2016-2021 runs, no signal events were found. This allows us to derive new constraints on the Z^{'}-e coupling strength, which, for the mass range 0.3≲m_{Z^{'}}≲100 MeV, are more stringent compared to those obtained from the neutrino-electron scattering data.

Annotation. This article is about M. I. Pyrohov’s participation in the activity of Medical Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Medical Interim Committee at the Ministry of Health, about graduate medical education reform in the Russian Empire, the establishment of the Medical Department in St. Volodymyr Kyiv University.

The review analyzes a new monograph about the work of Boris Pilnyak, in which the prose of the famous Russian writer is considered from the standpoint of the aesthetics of expressionism. The authors of the review evaluates the scientific methodology of the monograph, focuses on the issues of author's strategy, genre modifications, specifics and forms of expression of the author's consciousness. Considering the structure of the book, the reviewer notes the harmony and strict reasonableness of the author's concept, justifies the theoretical significance of the monograph for the consideration of the aesthetics of expressionism in the prose of B. Pilnyak.

Astronomical observations show that the supernova remnants, even with a close to spherical shape, usually have multiscale ripple-like distortions. For example 15 bends on the shock front are clearly visible in the remnant 0509-67.5. The global instability of the flow is considered as one of the possible mechanisms for generating such structures. In the frame of linear analysis [26] was shown that this instability has a resonance character. It means that the perturbations with a certain wavelength number should grow faster, therefore ripples in the remnant shell will manifest itself predominantly in a certain range of scales. In this paper we present the results of numerical simulations of the nonlinear stage of this instability, caused by small perturbations in the external environment, depending on their scale and intensity. The unpertubed gas is supposed to has a power-law spartial dependence ρ0(r) ~ r-ω, where ω is a constant. The blast wave generated by a supernova expolosion is descibed by a Sedov type similarity solution. We have developed two-dimensional numerical model of adiabatic flow with a blast wave in a comoving frame of reference based on parallel code AstroChemHydro [1]. It was shown that, according to the predictions of linear analysis, perturbations in the external flow amplify behind the front of the shock wave, which leads to the development of convective instability and the development of turbulence. The results of numerical simulations demonstrated that in shell-type flows (for omega = 2,7 and gamma = 4/3) external disturbances along with the characteristic rearrangement of the shock front and turbulization of the flow behind it, cause the formation of radially elongated filaments with a vortex structure behind the shock, the number of which is determined by the harmonic number of the perturbation l.

We describe the results for full-scale experimental test production of high-basicity sinter (basicity 2.0–5.0) at the Enakievo Metallurgical Plant Sinter Shop. As sinter basicity increased from 2.0 to 5.0, the iron content of the sinter decreased from 53.05% to 32.24%, and the ferrous oxide concentration decreased from 17.55% to 9.29%. However, the strength specifications of the sinter were improved: The concentration of 0–5-mm fines decreased from 19.32% to 15.89%, and the yield of +5 mm size class in a drum test increased from 65.9% to 72.3% through optimization of the sintering process parameters. The use of high basicity sinter in blast-furnace smelting reduced the specific consumption of lime in the blast-furnace charge from 233.9 kg/metric ton of cast iron (at sinter basicity 2.0) to 103.5 kg/metric ton (at basicity 4.5) and, correspondingly, the specific feed rate for coke during castiron production decreased from 538.1 kg/metric ton to 476.6 kg/metric ton.

A large number of publications have been devoted to studying the features of the flow in two-phase flows in a gas-dispersed flow with inertial dust particles (shock waves, jets, turbulence, regular structures such as plasma crystals). In recent years, the study of the behavior of various fractions of impurity particles in polydisperse dust mixtures, expressed in the spatial separation of their distributions, has been of increasing interest. Spatial variations of individual components of the dust mixture make it possible to diagnose the state of the carrier gas phase in those cases when the carrier phase is very rarefied and cannot be observed directly (interstellar gas). This work is a continuation of the authors’ work [14], in which an original algorithm was proposed based on the use of three-dimensional color space resources, which allows visualizing spatial distributions of concentrations of up to three fractions of a polydisperse mixture of dust particles simultaneously, as well as an entropy measure that allows visualizing the degree of polydispersity in a heterogeneous gas-and-dust environment. However, the structural features of the impurity phase (caustics, areas of segregation of dust particles by their size, mass, etc.) are not necessarily spatially combined with its dynamic features (collisionless shock waves, flow turning points, stagnation points, accumulation points). In this paper, we propose a method for visualizing the dynamic features of a polydisperse collisionless mixture of particles in a two-phase gas-dust medium by constructing spatial distribution maps of the particle velocity dispersion anisotropy regions. Strong anisotropy of the velocity dispersion corresponds to the region in which an intense multi-stream flow occurs. Dust is considered as a mixture of several fractions, each of which contains particles of the same type, while the particle sizes in different fractions are different. For each dust fraction, a field is constructed of the spatial distributions of the eccentricities of the velocity dispersion ellipses. To visualize the degrees of anisotropy of the velocity dispersion of two fractions of a polydisperse dust mixture at once, a specially selected entropy measure is proposed. The results of two-dimensional demonstration calculations of a turbulent gas-dust medium and the anisotropy map in the distribution of the velocity dispersion of an impurity dust component are presented.

This review dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Volgograd State University contains brief information about the main achievements of a number of scientific schools and directions in various fields of physics working at University. Over many years of fruitful work at Volgagrad State University, specialists in various fields of physics have rightfully established themselves as one of the best research scientists in various fields of activity, which has allowed Volgograd State University to take a leading position in the training of highly qualified specialists among the leading universities in Russia.

It is believed that the taxonomy of interstellar clouds in their vicinity can serve as an indicator of the features of the geometry and intensity of galactic shock waves. In this paper, the authors present the results of a detailed two-dimensional hydrodynamic simulation of the passage of a cloud through the spiral arm of a galaxy and provide a brief analysis of the effects arising from this motion. The model of interstellar gas used assumes adiabatic flow in the spiral arm. The external gravitational field of the galactic disk and spiral arm is taken into account. The transverse dimensions of the arm in the calculations are taken as follows: the half-width of the arm is 1 kpc along the plane of the disk and 0.6 kpc in the vertical direction. A fragment of the flow is considered near and inside the spiral arm, the effects of the curvature of the arm and the influence of the Coriolis forces are neglected. It is shown that clouds passing through the arm are strongly deformed and lose a significant part of the mass or are completely destroyed in the case of low-mass clouds. The boundary value of the cloud mass at which complete destruction occurs lies in the interval between 3 000 and 6 000 M.

Purpose . Drawing up an algorithm for solving the problem of providing construction objects with material resources, taking into account the influence of temporary factors in construction, to determine the target function for the transportation of building materials, taking into account additional costs. Methodology. An analysis of scientific works allows us to say that the existing algorithms for solving problems of providing material resources do not fully cover all deterministic and non-determinant factors of influence of the construction industry, which necessitates the creation of a new algorithm for solving such problems, taking into account all the features of the construction industry. Findings . The results of this work are an analysis of existing deterministic and non-deterministic factors, on the basis of which a schedule of possible points of the final delivery of building materials was compiled, taking into account these factors. The maximum, minimum and planned transportation time are determined based on the analysis of the construction industry. The schedule of possible starting points of the construction industry is drawn up, because due to deterministic and non-deterministic factors, the starting point of the works can take on larger values than planned, and the possible advance of the schedule should be taken into account. On the basis of these two graphs, it was possible to draw up the graphs of the possible intersection and running of the points of final supply of materials and the points of beginning of work. Analyzing the schedules, it was determined that when the delivery points and the start of works are taken up, the costs of simple transport and construction organizations will be close to the maximum, and at their intersection, they will be reduced to a minimum. As a result, a new algorithm and method for solving the problems of providing construction objects with material resources, taking into account time factors, was compiled. This algorithm allows you to determine the objective function of providing construction objects with material resources, taking into account the additional costs of idle transport, construction or both organizations at the same time. Originality. This algorithm for solving problems of providing construction objects with material resources, taking into account time factors, was developed for the first time. Practical value . This algorithm allows you to determine the real objective function for the supply of material resources to a construction site with additional costs for downtime.

Many violence prevention programs include a focus on the role of bystanders and third parties in violence prevention training. Central to this work has been the classic social psychological research on the “bystander effect”. However, recent research on bystander behavior shows that the bystander effect does not hold in violent or dangerous emergencies. Meta‐analyses of the literature show that the presence of others can facilitate as well as inhibit intervention in emergencies. Studies of real‐life bystander behavior captured on CCTV cameras shows that some bystander intervention is the norm and that the likelihood of bystanders being victimized is low. One reason for the limited effectiveness of violence reduction programs may be their approach to bystanders. We argue that violence reduction programs should: recognize that some intervention is likely (although it may not always be successful); see the group as a route to successful intervention rather than a threat to the likelihood of any single individual becoming an intervener; inform bystanders of the real risks of victimization; utilize the power of social relations between bystanders, victims, and perpetrators to enhance successful intervention; seek to deliver bystander intervention training in situ, rather than away from the context of the aggression or violence.

Fictional conflict in prose of S. Aleksievich is one of the instruments for presenting general image of the XXth century in its’ most tragic features. Thanks to the targeted selection of “human documents”, confessions of ordinary people, as well as due to the cyclically built composition, the author embodies in the book “Second-hand Time” the conflict of two eras - the Past and the Present and the two spaces of the Soviet Union and Russia. The acuteness of the artistic conflict embodied in the book is due to the appeal to the fate of individuals seeking to understand their place in history, to find justification for their ideals, or, conversely, to justify their rejection of the past. The author is an artist who proves his right to use a living “human document” as a material, to expand the possibilities of the document, and as a result to draw objective images of Time and Man, infused with a living human feeling.

The review touches upon the problems, which are formulated and solved by the group of authors in the scientifi c study “From Chekhov to Brodsky: Aesthetic and Philosophical Aspects of Russian Literature of the 20th Century”. The importance of scientifi c research, originality, well-based arguments of the authors position, the value and novelty of material are underlined in the review.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to determine the state policy of the Russian Federation on the Northern and Arctic territories in the 1990s. Methodology: This is analytical-logical research that has been done through content analysis and documentary and library research. Result: Results showed that First of all Russia abruptly changed the priorities of its policy to the Far North setting the course to leave the region in all spheres. Dozens of polar expeditions from the USA, Norway, and Germany were sent to the Russian sector of polar lands. Russia itself rapidly turned off its economic presence in the North. “The North Pole-31” (drifting polar station) was stopped for 12 years on June 25, 1991. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of the state policy of the Russian Federation on the northern and arctic territories in the 1990s is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner.

An integral method is described for processing xenon used as a working medium in the RED-100 two-phase emission detector constructed in the NRNU MEPhI to study the process of elastic coherent neutrino scattering off atomic nuclei. The developed technology for purifying xenon and the detector has made it possible to increase the lifetime of quasi-free electrons in the 205-kg liquid xenon from ≤0.1 to ≥400 μs in fields of 50−500 V/cm. The entire procedure takes approximately 1000 h. The method can be used to process working media for new-generation two-phase emission detectors designed to conduct basic research, in particular, searching for dark matter in the form of weakly interacting massive particles, detecting boron solar neutrinos, and searching for neutrinoless double-beta decay.

Aims were to compare the characteristics of hormonal and metabolic status, a set of proinflammatory and antiinflammatory markers, as well as factors associated with DNA damage/ genome integrity in endometrial cancer (EC) patients, divided on the basis of the contemporary classification that distinguishes four molecular-biological types of this tumor. Materials and methods: The study involved material from untreated EC patients, the number of which varied depending on the method used. The average age of patients was close to 60 years and about 90% of them were in postmenopausal period. In the course of evaluation of pro-inflammatory and antiinflammatory factors (levels of cytokines IL-6 and TNF, myo-kine myostatin and adipokine prefilin / Pref-1 /, the ratio of neutrophils/lymphocytes in the blood), an enzyme immunoassay and hematological analysis were used, while the study of the expression of lipoxygenases’ mRNA (“pro-inflammatory” alox5 and “anti-inflammatory” alox15) in omental adipose tissue was based on real-time PCR methodology. Besides, the comet tail moment and % of DNA in the tail of comets of mononuclear cells, the level of 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine in circulation and the telomere length of mononuclear cells were, respectively, measured as an indicators of DNA damage or genome integrity. Results and conclusions: According to the data obtained, the differences between EC patients are determined not only by the propensity for overweight or lack of it, but also by belonging of the individual case to one or another molecular-biological type established on the basis of genetic and immu-nohistochemical analysis of the tumor tissue. Altogether this may indicate certain specificity of stimuluses leading to the development of particular endometrial cancer variant.

In the late Soviet period, the economy of the Russian Far East was integrated into the all-Union one, and the military-industrial sector dominated the GRP structure. Not only the external borders of the region, but also certain border regions and port cities were “closed” The positive identity of the Far East at that time was focused on the importance of the region as a military outpost of Russia, as well as on regional benefits and advantages: high salaries, early retirement benefits, free travel to the European part of Russia, etc. Reforms of the 1990s brought the Far Eastern economy into a state of deep crisis. The destruction of production ties with the European part of Russia forced Far Eastern enterprises and economically active citizens to reorient themselves from the domestic Russian market to the Asia-Pacific markets. The “open border” has become a major factor in the enrichment of the elites, the formation of the middle class and the survival of the majority of the population, which transformed both the real daily life of the Far East and regional identity. Consumer goods from China and Korea, right-hand drive Japanese cars firmly entered the everyday life of the Far East and became part of the regional image. The opening of borders contributed to the inclusion of the Far East in global religious and cultural processes. The Far East has become positioned as a “window to the Asia-Pacific region”, a multicultural region with developed logistics, attractive for international tourism.
