K+Λ(1405) photoproduction has been studied at the BGOOD experiment via the all neutral decay, Λ(1405)→Σ0π0. The unique BGOOD experimental setup allows both the cross section and Λ(1405) invariant mass distribution (line shape) to be measured over a broad K+ polar angle range, extending to extreme forward K+ angles unattainable at previous experiments.Evidence is provided for the role of a triangle singularity driven by the N⁎(2030) resonance, which appears to contribute significantly to K+Λ(1405) photoproduction. This is observed in the integrated cross section which was determined with unprecedented energy resolution and supported by the angular distributions. The measured line shape is also in agreement with the previous results of CLAS and ANKE, and is consistent with two poles derived in χPT based models.

The coherent reaction, γd→π0π0d was studied with the BGOOD experiment at ELSA from threshold to a centre-of-mass energy of 2850MeV. A full kinematic reconstruction was made, with final state deuterons identified in the forward spectrometer and π0 decays in the central BGO Rugby Ball. The strength of the differential cross section exceeds what can be described by models of coherent photoproduction and instead supports the three isoscalar dibaryon candidates reported by the ELPH collaboration at 2.38, 2.47 and 2.63GeV/c2. A low mass enhancement in the π0π0 invariant mass is also observed at the d⁎(2380) centre-of-mass energy which is consistent with the ABC effect. At higher centre-of-mass energies, a narrow peak in the π0d invariant mass at 2114MeV/c2 with a width of 20MeV/c2 supports a sequential two-dibaryon decay mechanism.

The γp→K+Σ0 differential cross section at extremely forward angles was measured at the BGOOD experiment. A three-quarter drop in strength over a narrow range in energy and a strong dependence on the polar angle of the K+ in the centre-of-mass of the reaction is observed at a centre-of-mass energy of 1900 MeV. Residing close to multiple open and hidden strangeness thresholds, the structure appears consistent with meson-baryon threshold effects which may contribute to the reaction mechanism.

The polarization observables T,E,P,H, and G in photoproduction of η mesons off protons are measured for photon energies from threshold to W=2400 MeV (T), 2280 MeV (E), 1620 MeV (P,H), or 1820 MeV (G), covering nearly the full solid angle. The data are compared to predictions from the SAID, MAID, JüBo, and BnGa partial-wave analyses. A refit within the BnGa approach including further data yields precise branching ratios for the Nη decay of nucleon resonances. A Nη-branching ratio of 0.33±0.04 for N(1650)1/2− is found, which reduces the large and controversially discussed Nη-branching ratio difference of the two lowest mass JP=1/2−-resonances significantly. The first measurements of the beam-target-helicity-asymmetries E and G in the photoproduction of ω-mesons off protons at the CBELSA/TAPS experiment are reported. E (G) was measured using circularly (linearly) polarised photons and a longitudinally polarised target. E was measured over the photon energy range from close to threshold (Eγ=1108 MeV) to Eγ=2300 MeV and G at a single energy interval of 1108

The differential cross sections and unpolarized spin-density matrix elements for the reaction γp→pω were measured using the CBELSA/TAPS experiment for initial photon energies ranging from the reaction threshold to 2.5 GeV. These observables were measured from the radiative decay of the ω meson, ω→π0γ. The cross sections cover the full angular range and show the full extent of the t-channel forward rise. The overall shape of the angular distributions in the differential cross sections and unpolarized spin-density matrix elements are in fair agreement with previous data. In addition, for the first time, a beam of linearly-polarized tagged photons in the energy range from 1150 MeV to 1650 MeV was used to extract polarized spin-density matrix elements. These data were included in the Bonn–Gatchina partial wave analysis (PWA). The dominant contribution to ω photoproduction near threshold was found to be the 3/2+ partial wave, which is primarily due to the sub-threshold N(1720)3/2+ resonance. At higher energies, pomeron-exchange was found to dominate whereas π-exchange remained small. These t-channel contributions as well as further contributions from nucleon resonances were necessary to describe the entire dataset: the 1/2−, 3/2−, and 5/2+ partial waves were also found to contribute significantly.

Data on the polarization observables T, P, and H for the reaction γp→pπ0 are reported. Compared to earlier data from other experiments, our data are more precise and extend the covered range in energy and angle substantially. The results were extracted from azimuthal asymmetries measured using a transversely polarized target and linearly polarized photons. The data were taken at the Bonn electron stretcher accelerator ELSA with the CBELSA/TAPS detector. Within the Bonn-Gatchina partial wave analysis, the new polarization data lead to a significant narrowing of the error band for the multipoles for neutral-pion photoproduction.

Photoproduction of two neutral pions off the proton is studied using linearly polarized photons, and the polarization observables Is and Ic are measured for the first time. These two observables are unique to multi-meson final states; they characterize correlations between the linear photon polarization and the direction of outgoing single particles in photoproduction of three-body final states. The Is and Ic distributions suggest that, in the 1.8 to 2.0 GeV mass region, the N(1520)3/2−π intermediate state is reached with reaction dynamics consistent with a dominant JP=3/2+ wave. These data are included in the Bonn–Gatchina (BnGa) partial wave analysis which is based on a large variety of data; the analysis confirms a significant contribution from the reaction chain γp→N(1900)3/2+→N(1520)3/2−π0→pπ0π0. In a search for ω mesic states, the production of ω-mesons in coincidence with forward going protons has been studied in photon induced reactions on 12C for incident photon energies of 1250–3100 MeV. The π0γ pairs from decays of bound or quasi-free ω-mesons have been measured with the CBELSA/TAPS detector system in coincidence with protons registered in the MiniTAPS forward array. Structures in the total energy distribution of the π0γ pairs, which would indicate the population and decay of bound ω 11B states, are not observed. The π0γ cross section of 0.3 nb MeV−1 sr−1 observed in the bound state energy regime between −100 and 0 MeV may be accounted for by yield leaking into the bound state regime because of the large in-medium width of the ω-meson. A comparison of the measured total energy distribution with calculations suggests the real part V0 of the ω 11B potential to be small and only weakly attractive with V0(ρ=ρ0)=−15±35(stat)±20(syst) MeV in contrast to some theoretical predictions of attractive potentials with a depth of 100–150 MeV.

The article examines the peculiarities of the functioning of state control (supervisory) bodies in the Russian Federation at the present time. The subtleties of the mechanism for evaluating the effectiveness of the functioning of the system of control (supervisory) bodies are analyzed using the example of evaluating the work of these bodies in the field of social services in St. Petersburg. The current problems of the functioning of the system of state control (supervisory) bodies in the Russian Federation are reflected. Based on the identified problems, the authors propose a set of measures based on the principles of legality and transparency, a balance of interests aimed at achieving the most useful result for all participants in control (supervisory) activities. The implementation of the proposed measures should follow the path of using modern approaches to managing the system of control (supervisory) bodies based on the results of scientific and technological progress.

INTRODUCTION. The implementation of remote cardiac rehabilitation (RCR) technology based on telemedicine platforms (TMP) requires a preliminary assessment of the feasibility of use. AIM. A preliminary study of the feasibility of using the integrated TMP “IS-cardio” to perform RCR in patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in the context of need, feasibility and acceptability. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Single-center cohort study of patients (n = 33; 75 % men; mean age 56 ± 8 years) with CVD. Testing of the TMP «IS-cardio» was carried out during 12-week physical training (PT) programs with an intensity of 55 %. Feasibility was assessed according to the following criteria: need, feasibility, acceptability. Data on need and acceptability were obtained from a patient survey. Feasibility was assessed as the proportion of patients completing RCR. Remote monitoring was performed using heart rate, blood pressure, electrocardiogram and mobile application recorders. Feedback was provided in the form of electronic reports and delayed consultation. Patient satisfaction was assessed in points. RESULTS. 79.2 % of respondents were interested in telemedicine monitoring. 100 % of patients completed RCR; 12 patients (39.6 %) fully completed the PT program. The patients’ activity amounted to 2.4 ± 0.7 PT sessions per week; the average duration of PT was 56.5 ± 29.8 min/week. With a total satisfaction of 29.0 ± 3 points, the level of RCR was highly rated (3.85 ± 0.16 points) as a real solution to the problem associated with the presence of CVD (3.67 ± 0.34 points). DISCUSSION. The medical-technological solution TMP “IS-cardio”, combining the principles of traditional cardiac rehabilitation with telecardiology tools (monitoring based on digital recorders, automatic data transfer and feedback) met the criteria for the feasibility of using TMP with a similar concept. CONCLUSION. The high demand for remote monitoring, feasibility, and patient satisfaction of RCR may indicate the feasibility of its use for implementation of its programs.

The transcription factors, TEAD1-4 together with their co-activator YAP/TAZ function as key downstream effectors of the Hippo pathway. Hyperactivation of TEAD-YAP/TAZ activity is observed in many human cancers. TEAD1-4 possess distinct physiological and pathological functions, with conserved sequences and structures. Targeting specific isoforms within TEAD1-4 can serve as valuable chemical probes for investigating TEAD-related functions in both development and diseases. We report the TEAD-targeting proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC), HC278, which achieves effective and specific targeting of TEAD1 and TEAD3 at low nanomolar doses while weakly degrading TEAD2 and TEAD4 at higher doses. Proteomic analysis of >6000 proteins confirmed their highly selective TEAD1 and TEAD3 degradation. Consistently, HC278 can suppress the proliferation of YAP-dependent NCI-H226 mesothelioma cells. Mechanistic exploration revealed that both CRBN and proteasome systems are involved in the TEAD degradation induced by HC278. Moreover, RNA-seq and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) revealed that the YAP signature genes such as CTGF, CYR61, and ANKRD1 are significantly downregulated by HC278 treatment. Overall, HC278 serves as a valuable chemical tool for unraveling the intricate biological roles of TEAD1 and TEAD3 and holds the potential as a lead compound for developing targeted therapy for TEAD1/3-driven pathologies.

The relevance of the publication is caused, firstly, by the 80th anniversary of the victory of the multinational Soviet people and its Armed Forces in the Battle of Kursk; secondly, by the increasing role and importance of military-patriotic education of the younger generation, which is a barometer of Russian society. Based on archival materials of the Russian Center for the Storage and Study of Documents of Modern History, the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Institute of Russian History, the Military Medical Museum and other archives, materials of front-line and army newspapers, military memoirs of military commanders of the Red Army, such as Marshals of the Soviet Union G. K. Zhukov, A. M. Vasilevsky, I. S. Konev the ideological and political work in the units and formations of the rear support of the troops in the battle of Kursk, the courage and heroism of the rear soldiers who provided the troops with all types of weapons and military equipment, ammunition and fuel, food and equipment are considered.

Objective—Heart rate variability (HRV) and photoplethysmographic waveform variability (PPGV) are available approaches for assessing the state of cardiovascular autonomic regulation. The goal of our study was to compare the frequency-domain features and low-frequency (LF) synchronization of the PPGV and HRV with increasing severity of cardiovascular diseases. Methods—Our study included 998 electrocardiogram (ECG) and finger photoplethysmogram (PPG) recordings from subjects, classified into five categories: 53 recordings from healthy subjects, aged 28.1 ± 6.2 years, 536 recordings from patients with hypertension (HTN), 49.0 ± 8.8 years old, 185 recordings from individuals with stable coronary artery disease (CAD) (63.9 ± 9.3 years old), 104 recordings from patients with myocardial infarction (MI) that occurred three months prior to the recordings (PMI) (65.1 ± 11.0 years old), and 120 recordings from study subjects with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) (64.7 ± 11.5 years old). Spectral analyses of the HRV and PPGV were carried out, along with an assessment of the synchronization strength between LF oscillations of the HRV and of PPGV (synchronization index). Results—Changes in all frequency-domain indices and the synchronization index were observed along the following gradient: healthy subjects → patients with HTN → patients with CAD → patients with PMI → patients with AMI. Similar frequency-domain indices of the PPGV and HRV show little relationship with each other. Conclusions—The frequency-domain indices of the PPGV are highly sensitive to the development of any cardiovascular disease and, therefore, are superior to the HRV indices in this regard. The S index is an independent parameter from the frequency-domain indices.

The appeal to this topic is due to the 80th anniversary of the victory at the Kursk Bulge (August 23, 2023), as well as the conduct of a special military operation. The Battle of Kursk demonstrated the morale, unity and will of the multinational Soviet people in defending their Fatherland. Only on the Kursk Bulge 248 servicemen who showed courage and heroism were awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Their patriotism, service to the Fatherland and responsibility for its fate serve as an example for the population of the country, soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces of Russia.

The relevance of the topic is explained by the fact that in modern conditions the citizens of Russia need to turn to traditional values, such as Russian patriotism, service to the Fatherland and respon- sibility for its fate, historical memory, continuity of generations, unity of the peoples of the Russian Federation. All these values were demonstrated by the Soviet multinational people during the Great Patriotic War. Thus, military builders during the Battle of Kursk showed courage and labor heroism, creating defensive lines for the troops of the fronts, which inflicted a severe defeat on the Nazi troops on the Kursk Bulge. In addition, the warrior-builders actively participated in subscribing to the Second State Military Loan, in raising funds for the fund for helping orphaned children, etc.

The relevance of the topic is explained by the fact that in modern conditions in Russia, the fight against corruption is actively being conducted. The President of the Russian Federation, State and local government bodies, civil society institutions, organizations and individuals, within their competence, carry out anti-corruption activities. But as life shows, it is not always possible to effectively fight corruption in the country, there is a need to turn to the historical experience of our country and, in particular, Peter the Great’s fight against corruption (bribery).Peter I took a number of measures aimed at combating corruption: the establishment of the fiscal service, the Prosecutor’s office, the reform of legislation, etc. The emperor paid special attention to ensuring the principle of inevitability of punishment for corruption. Peter the Great also, by issuing a decree dated December 24, 1714, tightened the responsibility of civil servants for committing bribery.

Active implementation of immune checkpoint inhibitors into oncology practice leads to an increase in numbers of observed immune-mediated adverse events, including various endocrinopathies. The focus is on multiple endocrine gland involvement because their predictors are unclear. The paper describes a clinical case of a patient with central cancer of the right lung, who had been administered immune therapy with anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody (nivolumab). Under this treatment, three endocrine immune-mediated adverse events developed without any concomitant problems from other organs and body systems. The most interesting was the occurrence of adrenal insufficiency and fulminant diabetes mellitus, while, unlike hypothyroidism, which also developed in this patient, those two have been significantly less often described and up to now their incidence, prevalence and association with a certain subgroup of immune checkpoint inhibitors have not been identified. Despite multiple endocrine organ involvement and taking into account positive effects of the anti-tumor treatment, as well as titration of the corresponding hormonal replacement therapy, treatment with nivolumab was continued. Patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors require a multidisciplinary team approach including an endocrinologist, because of the potential multiple endocrinopathies, including life-threatening.
