Neutron-induced nuclear reactions play an important role in the Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. Their excitation functions are, from an experimental point of view, usually difficult to measure. Nevertheless, in the last decades, big efforts have led to a better understanding of their role in the primordial nucleosynthesis network. In this work, we apply the Trojan Horse Method to extract the cross section at astrophysical energies for the ^3 He(n,p) ^3 H reaction after a detailed study of the ^2 H( ^3 He,pt)H three-body process. Data extracted from the present measurement are compared with other published sets. The reaction rate is also calculated, and the impact on the Big Bang nucleosynthesis is examined in detail.

This study aimed to identify the factors that lead to ineffective practice and the decreasing motivation of junior high school athletes for physical training in preparation for City Meet and EVRAA. To point out the several factors contributing to the problem, the researcher used the Ishikawa diagram. In conclusion, the concerns that complicate a problem require professional agreement and smart decisions. This, in turn, will lead to a harmonious flow of events and a successful potential athlete that needs to be recognized in a certain field of skills. Motivational aspects largely influence athletes' performance as well.

Getting a graduate education is one of the most important parts of a professional in a field. It allows them to climb higher in the professional rankings or even get higher pay for their academic work. All graduate students are adults and self-directed due to their past experiences in work or practice. However, when the pandemic hit the world, these self-directed learners were not spared from shutting of schools. In the Philippines, most graduate schools deliver their lessons through the traditional mode or face-to-face until the pandemic that they shifted in the emerging online learning modality. Using the mixed method of quantitative and qualitative type of study the researchers were able to gather 419 graduate students from various regions of the archipelago to take part in the study. The researchers found out that upon experiencing the benefits of online learning, graduate students want to continue this modality even in the future. More than a third of the respondents also claimed that they want the blended or hybrid type of graduate studies as opposed to going back to the more traditional face-to-face classes. The reasons for these can vary on each learner's situation.

This research aims to determine the teachers' reading style, determine their reading speed, and determine which reading methods are the teachers' strengths and weaknesses utilizing a thorough evaluation of reading techniques from Hawker Brownlow Education. Using pre-determined reading materials. Using Google Forms, this study utilized the comprehensive assessment of reading strategies from Hawker Brownlow Education. This material is composed of four series of tests, with different reading passages using the same 12 reading strategies. Results were interpreted using descriptive methods to find out which strategy the participants could be weak in. It is found that readers can effectively comprehend when they use the following strategies namely, finding word meaning in context, understanding sequence, and making predictions. Therefore, the four series of assessments, show that there are varied ways of comprehending a material that might directly influence the duration and time limit allocated in reading and answering the material, the recurring events of the same material used, and the scheduling of reading comprehension tests. The study allows educators and teachers to specify their activities in order to strengthen the weak points of the reading teachers identified from the samples. Through this, educational planners can create more skills-targeted training based on the results of the study.

Mathematics is not seen as an absolute corpus of well-founded knowledge anymore, but as a human activity, a social phenomenon, part of human culture that evolves historically and intelligibly in a social context. By harnessing the indigenous cultures and their knowledge systems in-depth, this article aims to evaluate how the sustainable development agenda can benefit from the teaching of mathematics in rural primary schools. Underpinned by the Teaching for Robust Understanding in Mathematics framework, the researchers used a phenomenological case study research design in qualitative research methods to respond to the question: how can indigenous knowledge be harnessed in the teaching of mathematics for sustainable development? From a population of 60 intermediate-phase mathematics teachers in the Alfred Nzo East district of the Eastern Cape, the researchers used criterion sampling to choose and conduct semi-structured interviews with three teachers experienced in using indigenous artefacts in their mathematics teaching. The findings indicate that teachers in this study developed skills of embracing culture and taught their learners to connect mathematics content with real-world situations. Productive struggles that enhanced higher-order levels of thinking were observed within their interactions with their learners. It is recommended that cultural practices be included in the curriculum such that the social, economic and environmental domains of sustainable development can be maintained.

This study aims to find out the factors that hinder the students in learning Integrated Art Education. A descriptive research design was utilized in the conduct of the study. The researcher prepared a questionnaire with 15 closed-ended- questions that could be answered objectively. The study discovered that the students would learn more when they feel that they belong to a certain group. Interests in a subject also matter, that the more you are interested in a particular subject, the more you will learn the material. Parent support marks an impact on the student's interest in learning Arts. Therefore, personal interest in a subject must be given attention and managed properly. Parent's support also plays a vital role in reinforcing the students on what to pursue in order to maintain their motivation.

This study aims to identify the following factors that affect the physical inactivity of the students in saint joseph college aged 12-16 years old. It aims to understand the impact of this crisis and how to address this pressing issue. A descriptive- survey research design was utilized to document the respondents' behavior, demographics, and experiences correlated to the questions provided. The questionnaire includes 15-item questions that seek to gather information on their basic profile, current experiences, and behavior towards physical activities. The study discovers that teenagers aged 12-16 years old are inactive in physical activities and sports due to some reasons like exposure to too much time to gadgets, whether the activity provides a fun and offers socialization, lack of motivation, occupied schedules for other matters, the COVID-19 pandemic, costly sports equipment on the sports of their interest, the unavailability of playing area, and lastly health concerns. Therefore, physical inactivity only alleviates certain issues, physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially. Physical inactivity is the result of demotivated individuals, physical illiteracy, prolonged screen time, and health issues.

The research study aimed at assessing the various difficulties that speech teachers had in delivering lessons during the distance learning era. The various phenomena and themes that emerged from the survey were determined using a descriptive research design. The survey was conducted to collect information about the various characteristics and behavior of speech teachers. It also explored the factors that influenced their decisions and actions when it came to addressing the pandemic. The repeated themes that emerged, include low motivation, altered activities, unstable internet connection, comprehension, questionable output integrity, delayed submissions, in-person monitoring, and the system of communicating with inactive students in online mode.

Schools worldwide have started opening doors to welcome back students who, for almost two years, have been stuck studying at home. This study looks at the standpoint of Filipino students on going back to regular face-to-face schooling. There were 2,274 students of different tiers of education (high school, collegiate, graduate) from different major island groups of the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao) who participated in the study. The study used a mixed method of descriptive statistics to present the quantitative data gathered and thematic analysis of qualitative responses from the subjects. The majority of all the respondents favored going back to the physical classroom, and little only favored staying using the distance mode. In the qualitative analysis, the recurring reasons of the students varied from personal, economic, and fear of getting the virus. It was concluded that Filipino students want to go back to schooling. Moreover, a sizeable amount preferred hybrid while a small number preferred to stay in online or distance mode. Educational institutions should always observe the COVID-19 protocol when students go back.

The purpose of the study: The aim of this study is to identify the prevalence of participants in physical activities, the motivation needed by the students to engage in the activity, challenges encountered by the implementors, health benefits, and recommendations and suggestions needed for the improvement of the implementation. Materials and methods: Using Arksey and O'Malley's (2005) scoping review framework, a systematic analysis of the data of different articles was conducted. Results: It was found out that the implementation of active recreational activities offers different health benefits to the youth, physical literacy and orientation and motivation played a vital role in the implementation of the recreational activities. Conclusions: Therefore, the implementation of the active recreational activities must be strengthened in schools not just for the sake of participation but because they are motivated to. And the engagement of these activities must not only limit to school grounds but also engaged even at home and in the community.

Applicability of the article is preconditioned by the requirements of information-oriented society that dictate modern youth the necessity of work with information ability, to see, to envisage and to correct logic errors. In modern world it is important to conduct reflection of own activity that maintain the necessity of critical thinking development, especially during individual acquisition of knowledge by students of higher educational establishments. Though critical thinking is introduced at school, it should be developed actively also on the next levels of education, including the level of higher education. Aims: To check complex of methods of critical thinking methods directed to the development of intellectual educational skills of students during unsupervised work. Methods: general scientific methods of information analysis were used in the research. Questionnaire method was introduced with the help of methods of the level of competency certification of Yu. Tatur, "critical analysis" of Barret, finding of logical errors of Cheifits. Qualimetric approach of the research of level of competency certification. Semantic differential tear of J. Dease. Statistic analysis was performed with the help of Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Results. During the research it was revealed that the average rate of rational thinking of all groups of respondents is on the average level and is equal to about 50%. Propensity for sweeping generalizations of students of 1-2 years of study is 10% higher, students of 2-3 years of study is for 10 % more empiric one. Empiric objectness of students of 3-4 years of study is 14,5%, and students of 1-2 years of study is from 11,4% to 12,1%. Conclusions. According to all criteria of diagnostics of efficiency of critical thinking effect on self-guided work if students positive dynamics was revealed. Students of 1-2 years of study showed higher potential for self-guided work than students of 3-4 years of study. Perspectives. Further researches can be organized in direction of development and introduction of critical thinking development for improvement of acquirement of competences with regard of future professional activity.

The purpose of the study was to identify how the Personal Branding Marathon with the involvement of the Ethics Supervisory Committee could influence the teacher self-branding in the settings of the digital environment if the ethics of communication is given paramount importance. The study used qualitative and quantitative methods such as a semi-structured in-depth interview, a self-assessment checklist, and an expert assessment checklist. The Triangular Assessment Method was used to obtain participants' judgments about the importance of every specified component of the self-branding viewed from their perspective in terms of implementation. The yielded data were processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0.0.1. Software. The novelty of the study lies in the way the teacher self-branding was organised and delivered. The Marathon created a community of individuals with similar needs and the environment facilitated and assisted by the experts to put the teachers in the 'point of no return' situation. The Marathon with the involvement of the Ethics Supervisory Committee was found to positively influence the teacher self-branding in the settings of the digital environment if the ethics of communication is given paramount importance. The intervention raised the teachers' awareness of self-branding, enhanced/upgraded the tools and strategies of self-branding, and improved their communication and communication ethics, particularly. The teachers became more professionally advantaged, self-efficient, and confident as individuals. The intervention was found to help the teachers built-up a strong self-brand on the Internet and at the workplace. They also improved their communication skills in terms of ethics as the participants were assisted by the communication expert.

Monte Carlo simulations are widely used in nuclear physics to model experimental systems. In cases where there are significant unknown quantities, such as energies of states, an iterative process of simulating and fitting is often required to describe experimental data. We describe a Bayesian approach to fitting experimental data, designed for data from a 12Be(d,p) reaction measurement, using simulations made with GEANT4. Q-values from the 12C(d,p) reaction to well-known states in 13C are compared with simulations using BayesOpt. The energies of the states were not included in the simulation to reproduce the situation for 13Be where the states are poorly known. Both cases had low statistics and significant resolution broadening owing to large proton energy losses in the solid deuterium target. Excitation energies of the lowest three excited states in 13C were extracted to better than 90 keV, paving a way for extracting information on 13Be.

The southward-flowing deep limb of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation is composed of both the deep western boundary current (DWBC) and interior pathways. The latter are fed by ‘‘leakiness’’ from the DWBC in the Newfoundland Basin. However, the cause of this leakiness has not yet been explored mechanistically. Here the statistics and dynamics of the DWBC leakiness in the Newfoundland Basin are explored using two float datasets and a high-resolution numerical model. The float leakiness around Flemish Cap is found to be concentrated in several areas (hot spots) that are collocated with bathymetric curvature and steepening. Numerical particle advection experiments reveal that the Lagrangian mean velocity is offshore at these hot spots, while Lagrangian variability is minimal locally. Furthermore, model Eulerian mean streamlines separate from the DWBC to the interior at the leakiness hot spots. This suggests that the leakiness of Lagrangian particles is primarily accomplished by an Eulerian mean flow across isobaths, though eddies serve to transfer around 50% of the Lagrangian particles to the leakiness hot spots via chaotic advection, and rectified eddy transport accounts for around 50% of the offshore flow along the southern face of Flemish Cap. Analysis of the model’s energy and potential vorticity budgets suggests that the flow is baroclinically unstable after separation, but that the resulting eddies induce modest modifications of the mean potential vorticity along streamlines. These results suggest that mean uncompensated leakiness occurs mostly through inertial separation, for which a scaling analysis is presented. Implications for leakiness of other major boundary current systems are discussed.
