An analysis of the clinical picture on 37 cases of patent ductus arteriosus proved by operation is presented, including the chest X-ray and electrocardiographic findings. In 13 cases preoperative hemodynamic studies were necessary to establish the diagnosis, although in most of the cases it could be based on clinical findings only. During the years 1968 to 1973, 37 patients were operated upon for patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) at the Cardiologic Center, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Medical School University of Indonesia, Jakarta. This paper is meant to analyze the clinical picture and in some instances, the hemodynamic findings of those 37 patients.

Lymphatic filariasis or more commonly known as elephantiasis disease has infected more than 120 million people in 80 countries; and more than 40 million of them are unable to work, in addition to disruption of aesthetic values. The problem faced by almost all people in combating this infectious disease is delayed diagnosis. The sufferers do not realize that they have been infected with this disease. A specific and accurate method of early detection is therefore needed. 99mTc-labeled Diethylcarbamazine-citrate (99mTc-DEC) has been successfully prepared. However, as part of the discovery and development of new drugs, the fulfillment of pharmaceutical and safety requirements have to be evaluated. Physico-chemical aspects such as stability, purity levels, and other pharmaceutical requirements, as well as pharmacokinetic studies and route of administration, are important parameters to be studied. The stability test showed that after seven months of storage, a preparation in a dry kit retains an efficiency of labeling and a purity level of more than 90 % and its physico-chemical and biological characteristics remained steady. Biodistribution test in Wistar rat showed that the greatest accumulation occurred in the lymphatic system, especially in the popliteal glands and in lumbar and mesenteric lymph nodes. Imaging with a gamma camera after intradermal and intravenous injections to the experimental animals resulted in a positive image that showed 99mTc-DEC accumulation in the target organ. The results of this innovation are expected to contribute significantly to improving public health, particulary in early detection of filarial infections. In addition, this result is expected to be a concrete contribution to the program of "The Global Goal of Elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis as a Public Health Problem by the Year 2020”.

Telah dilakukan penetapan kadar plasmatik dari senyawa p bifenil-4, okso-4, metil-2-butirat (F-1594) sebagai salah satu obat anti inflamasi dengan teknik kombinasi kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa. F-1594 dengan 'internal standar' p-bifenil 4-chloro 2' asetat diekstraksi dari plasma, dipisahkan melalui kromatografi gas yang dilengkapi dengan kolom kapiler kemudian dianalisa secara fragmentografi massa. Dengan menggunakan sedikit cuplikan, cara ini mampu mendeteksi suatu sediaan dengan konsentrasi yang sangat kecil. Abstract. The determination of p-biphenyl-4, oxo-4, methyl-2-butyric acid (F-1594) as an antiinflammatory agent in the human plasma by using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is described. Quantitation was achieved after extraction from the plasma, F 1594 and p-biphenyl 4-chloro 2'-acetic acid as an internal standard, separated by gas chromatography with the capillary column and analysed by mass fragmentography. This process requires only a very little sample and it enables the detection of very low concentration.

Sari. Telah dilakukan penandaan sel darah merah (SDM) dengan radionuklida 99mTc menggunakan SnCl2 sebagai reduktor. Kondisi penandaan optimum dengan menggunakan darah tikus diperoleh pada pemakaian SnCl2. 2H2O Iug dan suhu pemanasan 49-50 derajat C selama 15 menit. Efisiensi penandaan dan kemurnian radiokimia ditentukan dengan kromatografi kertas menaik menggunakan kertas Whatman No.1 sebagai fase diam dan methanol 85% sebagai fase gerak. Studi biologis dan penyidikan pada tikus Wistar menunjukkan tertimbunnya sediaan ini pada limpa. Abstract. Labeling of red blood cells with 99mTc radionuclide was carried out using SnCl2 solution as a reductor. The optimum required condition for rat blood was obtained in a solution containing 1 μg SnCl2.2H2O which was heated for 15 minutes at 49-500C. Labeling efficiency and radiochemical purity of radiolabeled compound was determined by ascending paper chromatography using Whatman No. I paper as stationary phase and methanol 85% as mobile phase. The result of biodistribution and imaging in the Wistar white rat revealed that the preparation was accumulated in the spleen.

The 99mTc-MIBI radiopharmaceutical has been used innuclear medicine in Indonesia for myocardial imaging. BATAN researchers have mastered the technology to manufacture MIBI as a liophylized kit. A reformulation of MIBI radiopharmaceutical has been conducted to improve the stability of the kit especially in the liquid-phase kit. Basically, radiopharmaceuticals in liquid form are not different from the dry kit. However in the manufacturing of liquid-phase kit, lyophilization process was not done. To improve the stability of liquid kit, a reformulation of the components was conducted by using two separate vials (Formulation 2) and the characteristics were compared with the one-vial formulation (Formulation 1).The MIBI Formulation 2 consists of two vials, vial A containing 0.06 mg of SnCl2 2H2O and 2.6 mg Sodium Citrate 2H2O and vial B containing 0.5 mg of [Cu(MIBI)4]BF4, 1 mg of cysteine hydrochloride, and 20 mg of mannitol.The purposes of this study wereto determine the stability of two different formulations of MIBI as a liquid-phase kit, to compare theirstability in different storage condition such as in refrigerator and freezer, and to compare the ratio of activities attained between target and nontargetorgans after injection to animal model. As a diagnostic agent, MIBI was reconstituted with Technetium-99m as radionuclide tracer to 99mTc-MIBI labeled compound. The radiochemical purity of 99mTc-MIBI was determined by chromatography method using alumina thin-layer chromatography paper as the stationary phase and ethanol 95% as the mobile phase. The results showed MIBI Formulation 2 has a higher stability than Formulation 1. Formulation 2 also maintaineda 96.68%radiochemical purity under 52-day storage and attainedatarget-to-nontarget activity ratio of 8.22.

Stroke and acute myocardial infarction is a disease with the highest mortality in the world. WHO has estimated in 2008, 30% of deaths from heart disease and more than 80% of this cases have been occurred in developing countries. Streptokinase (SK) as an effective thrombolytic agent has been used as a drug of choice for about forty years ago. SK is plasminogen (PG) activator that converts plasminogen to active protease, called plasmin (PN) which degrades fibrin to soluble products. Recombinant streptokinase (SKA) from genetic engineering has been developed at School of Pharmacy ITB to reduce or eliminate immunogenicity of SK. However, scientific disclosures relating to dynamic and its kinetic studies in the body have still to be proven. One method that can explain this phenomenon is the pharmacological studies using radionuclide labeled compounds. Radioiodine labeled compound is used extensively and most suitable for biological studies. This paper describes the preparation of 131I-SKA and its characterization. The labeling conditions of SKA, such as chloramine-T as an oxidizing agent, amount of SKA, incubation time, and size of resin to purify the labeling yield have been observed. The result showed that the optimum condition of labeling (35.11%) was obtained using 10 µg of chloramine-T and 60 seconds of incubation time. The highest radiochemical purity (97.46 ± 1.14%) has also been obtained by passing through the resin chromatography column using 100 mg Dowex 1x8, size 50-100 mesh. To achieve success in increasing employee retention, companies must pay attention to several factors, including providing appropriate training to employees, providing career development, and providing appropriate compensation so that they feel cared for by the company and provide their best performance to the company. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of training, career development, and compensation on employee retention at PT Seiwa Indonesia. Data collection was carried out utilizing observation and questionnaires. The sampling technique was simple random sampling using the Slovin formula with a sample of 87 people in the population. This research uses quantitative methods using validity tests, reliability tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple regression tests, t-tests, and F tests with the help of SPSS statistics. Based on the test results using the t-test, it shows that compensation partially has a positive and significant effect on employee retention, while job training and career development have no effect on employee retention, the test results using the F test show that job training, career development and compensation simultaneously have a positive effect on employee retention, the results of testing the coefficient of determination on the Adjusted R Square (R2) variables of job training, career development, and compensation can explain the magnitude of the influence of product quality, promotion and price on customer satisfaction of 61.5% while 38.5% is influenced by other factors.

Cabai merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura bernilai ekonomi tinggi di Indonesia. Cabai lokal Karo berbatang ungu merupakan cabai yang memiliki keunggulan produksi dan pertumbuhan vegetatif tinggi, namun sangat rentan terhadap penyakit virus keriting kuning oleh begomovirus. Salah satu upaya pengendalian begomovirus ialah dengan perakitan genotipe baru yang tahan melalui induksi iradiasi sinar gamma. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh iradiasi sinar gamma pada benih cabai lokal Karo berbatang ungu terinfeksi begomovirus untuk mendapatkan calon genotipe mutan yang tahan. Benih dari tanaman cabai terinfeksi begomovirus diberi perlakuan iradiasi sinar gamma dengan taraf dosis 150, 200, dan 250 Gy untuk mendapatkan tanaman mutan 1 (M1). Benih sehat dan benih berasal dari tanaman sakit tanpa perlakuan digunakan sebagai tanaman kontrol. Parameter yang diamati meliputi insidensi dan keparahan penyakit, AUDPC dan deteksi begomovirus pada tanaman M1 dan benih generasi kedua (M2). Perlakuan iradiasi sinar gamma taraf dosis 150 Gy pada benih cabai terinfeksi begomovirus menunjukkan rata-rata insidensi, keparahan penyakit, dan AUDPC paling rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya pada tanaman mutan M1 dan M2. Berdasarkan deteksi dengan PCR pada tanaman mutan M2, dari perlakuan dosis 150 Gy didapatkan 7 calon genotipe tahan begomovirus terbanyak di antara perlakuan lainnya.

Poverty is among the significant issues that pakistan has been facing for the past few years and if this issue will remain unattended, the future of pakistan is in danger. Microfinance is a very powerful tool to alleviate poverty and empower women and impoverished populations. In pakistan, there are numerous non-governmental organizations (ngos), microfinance institutions (mfis), microfinance banks (mfbs), and other welfare trusts that working on poverty alleviation and aspiring to achieve their aims and targets. The state bank of pakistan (sbp), pakistan microfinance network (pmn), pakistan poverty alleviation fund (ppaf), and other organizations are also striving to attain the united nations' millennium development goals (mdg) and thereby contribute to the economic development of the nation. The present study aims to identify the contribution of the government and ngos in eliminating poverty considering the case study of punjab, pakistan. The questionnaire survey was used for conducting this analysis where certain statements have been used to measure each variable on the likert scale. After the identification of its reliability and validity, the questionnaire was used for the final data collection, which has been further used for the analysis. The findings have revealed that the growth rate of borrowers and training significantly influences poverty. Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLUs) are critical infrastructure in facilitating the increasingly popular use of electric vehicles. The increasing number of electric vehicles using SPKLU also has an impact on existing transformers and distribution networks. This research uses the Fluke 1748 tool to analyze the impact on transformers and distribution networks. The Fluke 1748 is a tool that can record and analyze electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and power factor with high precision. The method used in this analysis involves installing the Fluke 1748 device at strategic points around the SPKLU, transformer, and distribution network. The results of this study are At the public electric vehicle charging station, an analysis has been carried out on the voltage and current where the results of THDV of 2.212% still meet the IEEE 2014 standard and THDi of 4.929% meet the IEEE 2014 standard, the impact caused is that there are losses in kWh sales due to voltage drops or voltage drops of 2250 watts, losses in significant transformers and in the conductor also cause a voltage drop of 2.5% of the nominal voltage.
