This work is devoted to the low-temperature Raman studies of a bright representative of 2D materials—graphene oxide (GO) film in the range of 5–325 K. The performed analysis of the temperature evolution of the peak positions as well as linewidths of two Raman modes D (∼1300 cm−1) and G (∼1600 cm−1) was described in terms of the anharmonic model. The temperature behavior of the G mode demonstrated a slight deviation from the anharmonic model below ∼50 K in contrast to the D mode, which could be explained by involving an additional phonon decay channel. The analysis of the linewidth of the Raman modes showed that the distribution of defects in GO is inhomogeneous and surface functionalization effectively separates neighboring layers. The average value of the distance between defects and the defect density was estimated. The obtained results can be useful for understanding phonon dynamics for the development of nanodevices based on 2D materials where confinement of propagation of phonon excitations plays a key role.

The interest for production of energy crops, which biomass may be used as renewable fuel have been grown in 70 years of last century after dramatically rising price of fossil fuels. The energy crops growing have been also stimulated by environmental factors and approval some International political initiatives, like White Paper for a Community Strategy and Action Plan and The Kyoto protocol. After some decreasing, the area of energy crops in EU and North America countries are stabilized. In Ukraine in the last few years there is a gradual increase of part of energy consumption of biopropellant from 1.3 % in 2008 to 3.4 % in 2018 in the general energy consumption of country. As the most widespread energy cultures biomass of that is used as a biopropellant come forward willow, saccharine sorghum and miscanthus. However, the last years industrial plantations of power direction appeared the paulownias taken under growing. This arboreal culture is mainly presented by the artificially shown out hybrid of Paulownia Clone in of Vitro 112®. Paulownia it quickly grows tree that for today occupies the first places for speeds of increase bio the masses, the not demanding to the agrotechnics growing proof to illnesses and wreckers is suitable for recultivation of exhausted and useless for the conduct of traditional agriculture of soils. It is characterized a softwood that successfully can be used also in furniture industry, green mass has high maintenance of albumen confronted with leguminous cultures. Bio mass of paulownia is suitable for the production of bioethanol (it is possible to get a to 0.5 ton of ethanol from a 1 ton of dry wood) and fuel preforms and пелет (power value 4211.1 kkal/kg). Next to that, a paulownia is a melliferous culture from honey the productivity 700 kg/hectare of ecological honey, as during growing does not require chemical treatments. A paulownia can be useful to 20–50 years. After each the offcutss, that is conducted at any time year with an interval in 4–8, a tree grows. At the proper supervision in 7 it is possible to get a 240–350 m³ of quality wood from 1 hectare. Taking into account the features of growing and power descriptions bio the masses of paulownia her growing will be rational with the aim of receipt of high-energy bio mass and commercial timber, and also as a melliferous culture.

This article describes the New Ukrainian School reform and its conceptual framework. The reform builds on advanced pedagogical experience, best education practices, European competency frameworks and the promotion of national values. The system-wide reform focuses on competency-based content for teacher professional development, safe learning environments, inclusion and the digitalisation of education. Also, it addresses the internal and external quality assessment of education. The reform is financed through central government grants and the budgets of local governments. To test the newly developed content, the reform was piloted at 143 schools one year ahead of the nationwide roll-out. The schools are a representative sample of schools in Ukraine. The pilot study involved monitoring student learning outcomes, teacher preparedness to implement the reform, and organisation of education environments. Methods used for the pilot study included a survey, test, pedagogical observations, and secondary analysis of statistics. The national implementation of the reform started in 2017 and is planned to be completed by 2030. Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has contributed to obstacles and risks such as learning losses, lacking school safety, absence of funding for the development of schools and for printing textbooks. We describe measures undertaken in Ukraine to promote the reform and good results. A range of challenges remain, such as rebuilding destroyed schools, optimising the school network in line with demographic changes and organising shelters at schools. Additional challenges include the promotion of digital technologies at schools, closing learning gaps and the provision of psychological support at school.

This review considers and summarizes findings of the studies on metals’ coexisting forms in bottom sediments of surface water bodies. This makes it possible to assess metals’ migration ability in the “bottom sediments – water” system and their potential bioavailability for hydrobionts. The coexisting forms of metals in bottom sediments depend on their chemical properties and the component composition of the solid phase. Metals are distributed among exchangeable, carbonate, oxide, organic and residual fractions of bottom sediments. The highest migration ability is observed for metals contained in the first three fractions. Metals migration from organic and residual fractions hardly ever takes place. The oxygen regime, pH and redox potential, total dissolved solids and water temperature, concentration and component composition of organic substances affect the exchange of metals between bottom sediments and overlying water. The metal mobility in the “bottom sediments – water” system will increase under conditions of climate change. This is because cases of dissolved oxygen deficiency become more common, the total dissolved solids get higher in concentration, and pH and redox potential is reduced. Therefore, the development of methods to reduce metals migration from bottom sediments is a relevant task, which is discussed in the present paper..

In terms of watermelon selection, the issue of stability of obtaining high yields in the conditions of manifestation of abiotic stressors of the external environment is relevant. The purpose of this study was to select a highly adaptive source material of watermelon according to the duration of the growing season and its components for use in breeding for early ripening. 101 collection samples of watermelon from 9 countries of the world were analysed. The study was based on the following methods: general scientific, measurement and weight, calculation, statistical. The watermelon collection was divided into ripeness groups and the sample was ranked according to the “duration of the seedling-ripening period”. The study established the amplitude (Am) and range of variation (Lim) of the signs of the duration of the components of the growing season. Samples with the smallest individual interphase periods were selected for use in selection for early ripening. The study found Vi – general adaptive capacity (GAC), σ2 SACi – specific adaptive capacity (SAC), Sgi – genotype stability, bi – regression coefficient of genotype response to changing conditions (plasticity), SVGi – selection value of the watermelon collection genotype based on the “duration of the growing season period”. According to the general adaptive capacity, the samples with the shortest duration of the “seedling – ripening” period were selected – 19 samples (Vi =-11.72…-6.05). As the most stable genotypes according to the “duration of the growing season” characteristic, 32 collection samples with a low value of the specific adaptive capacity indicator were selected, 23 of which are early ripening. The high stability of the genotype (Sgi) according to the characteristic “duration of the seedling-ripening period” was determined in 31 collection samples, of which 24 were early ripening. Based on the results of determining the regression coefficient (ecological plasticity coefficient), according to the characteristic “duration of the growing season”, the collection samples of watermelon were divided into three groups – with low (bi =0.01-2.20), medium (bi =2.21-4.22), and high (bi =4.23-6.24) ecological plasticity. According to the selection value of the genotype according to the trait “duration of the seedling-ripening period”, 18 collection samples had high indicators (SVGi =110.22-119.92), which are valuable for use in selection work with watermelon as sources of the characteristic “early ripeness”

Background Periprosthetic infection develops in 0.5 to 5.0 % of cases after knee replacement, which is a social and economic problem. The most common causes of periprosthetic infection are methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) (36 %), gram-negative bacteria, and microbial associations. The study was aimed at improving the results of the sanitizing stage of revision arthroplasty in patients with periprosthetic infection of the knee joint by a developed long-acting antimicrobial composition and improving the designs of articulating spacers of the knee joint. Materials and Methods The treatment results of 121 patients with knee joint periprosthetic infection were analyzed. Nine patients had an early periprosthetic infection and 112 had a late one. Patients in satisfactory condition with stable implant components who had early periprosthetic infection underwent surgical treatment of the purulent focuses, replacement of a polyethylene tibial insert, thorough surgical wound washing using pulse lavage, drainage, and VAC-therapy. Patients with late periprosthetic infection were divided into 3 groups on the basis of the spacer used. An articulating spacer based on the developed antimicrobial composition of prolonged action (RU 191236 patent) was used in 59 patients of the first group. Preformed spacers were implanted in 29 patients of the second group, and 18 patients of the third group got a block-shaped spacer. Results An antibacterial anti-adhesive non-toxic composition with a prolonged action based on bone cement with gentamicin and such antiseptics as poviargol, dioxydine, and high-molecular polyvinylpyrrolidone has been developed. All the patients underwent the sanitizing stage of revision arthroplasty, implant removal, and spacer installation. Periprosthetic infection recurrence developed in 3 patients of the first group, 9 patients of the second group and 7 patients of the third one. The average time from the sanitizing stage to the second final stage of revision was 3-6 (4.8 ± 1.9) months. Discussion According to scientific data, the impregnation of new antibiotics into bone cement with gentamicin does not improve the antimicrobial effect of a spacer, especially in case of antibiotic-resistant strains. Block-shaped and preformed spacers lead to infection recurrence and complications. Antiseptic impregnation with different mechanisms of action is able to affect antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and the polymer is able to prolong the effect. Conclusion The use of articulating spacers for the knee joint, which include an antimicrobial composition, allows preserving the function of the joint and reducing the number of infectious complications, which facilitates the final stage of revision arthroplasty.

In this work, thermodynamic functions of evaporation of copper chalcogenides (Cu2S, Cu2Se, and Cu2Te) are determined via previously published data and thermodynamic values obtained by the authors of the work. The obtained results indicate a very low probability of separation of compounds into copper and chalcogen by dissociation under vacuum-thermal processing conditions. Liquid-vapor phase transitions in binary systems Cu2S – Cu2Se, Cu2S – Cu2Te, and Cu2Se – Cu2Te at low pressures of 15 and 0,7 kPa are constructed based on the vapor pressure of copper chalcogenides. It is shown that the pressure eases over the liquid bath impairs the separation of chalcogens, therefore separation in one stage by thermo-vacuum treatment at a pressure of 0,7 – 15 kPa is not possible.

The present study aimed to discuss the Purpose-Function of the Firm and Corporate Social Responsibility from the perspectives of Stakeholder Theory and Resource-Based View-RBV through a theoretical essay. The Firm's Objective Function conceptualizes the firm through profit maximization, while the Stakeholder Theory focuses on the interested parties that influence and are influenced by the company. Corporate Social Responsibility emphasizes the importance of the company's social role to the community, and the Resource Based View understands how organizations manage resources to achieve competitive advantage. It is concluded that organizations have the Objective Function of the Firm performance and defined objectives receiving influence from Corporate Social Responsibility from the internal and external factors with which they are connected. It considers the elements that reflect in its development and in the stakeholders through the adoption of useful resources to remain active in the competitive environment and to act socially.

We have developed Simulation-based Reconstructed Diffusion (SbRD) to determine diffusion coefficients corrected for confinement effects and for the bias introduced by two-dimensional models describing a three-dimensional motion. We validate the method on simulated diffusion data in three-dimensional cell-shaped compartments. We use SbRD, combined with a new cell detection method, to determine the diffusion coefficients of a set of native proteins in Escherichia coli. We observe slower diffusion at the cell poles than in the nucleoid region of exponentially growing cells, which is independent of the presence of polysomes. Furthermore, we show that the newly formed pole of dividing cells exhibits a faster diffusion than the old one. We hypothesize that the observed slowdown at the cell poles is caused by the accumulation of aggregated or damaged proteins, and that the effect is asymmetric due to cell aging.

B cells contribute to multiple aspects of autoimmune disorders, and B cell–targeting therapies, including B cell depletion, have been proven to be efficacious in treatment of multiple autoimmune diseases. However, the development of novel therapies targeting B cells with higher efficacy and a nondepleting mechanism of action is highly desirable. Here we describe a nondepleting, high-affinity anti–human CD19 antibody LY3541860 that exhibits potent B cell inhibitory activities. LY3541860 inhibits B cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation of primary human B cells with high potency. LY3541860 also inhibits human B cell activities in vivo in humanized mice. Similarly, our potent anti-mCD19 antibody also demonstrates improved efficacy over CD20 B cell depletion therapy in multiple B cell–dependent autoimmune disease models. Our data indicate that anti-CD19 antibody is a highly potent B cell inhibitor that may have potential to demonstrate improved efficacy over currently available B cell–targeting therapies in treatment of autoimmune conditions without causing B cell depletion.

As a result of the analytical studies of the designs of thermionic reactor-converters, four groups of technical solutions have been identified that differ in the method of heat transfer from the fuel to the emitters of the thermionic converter: one option with direct in-core transfer (combining the fuel cladding with the emitter) and three options with thermionic converters taken away from the reactor core, in which case the heat is removed either by heat pipes (common or individual for each fuel element) or is arranged based on the principle of a steam chamber. The article describes the advantages and disadvantages for each of these methods. It is shown that at present the most developed design remains the version with in-core power conversion and, in the future it will be based on the steam chamber since the ingress of gaseous fission products into the inter-electrode gap as well as the influence of fuel swelling on the inter-electrode gap size are excluded and it ensures constant temperature and heat flux density on the surface of all emitters of the thermionic converters, which makes it possible to select the optimal operating parameters for them. A model of a thermionic reactor-converter with a steam chamber containing a reactor core and a zone of thermionic converters has been developed in which the fuel element of the reactor core and the power generating channels of the thermionic converter are separated in space, covered with a capillary porous structure and interconnected by a honeycomb capillary porous spacer plate to provide for circulation of the liquid metal coolant and to let its steam pass through. Neutronic calculations have demonstrated the possibility of a duration for the reactor campaign in excess of ten years following the nuclear safety regulations when a gadolinium oxide coating is applied to the surface of the fuel rods and the reactor vessel in the area of the reactor core. The assessment of thermal and electrical parameters shows that, due to the constant temperature and heat flux density on the surface of all emitters and optimization of the power conversion process for all the thermionic converters, one can expect to reach the maximum efficiency of 20%.
