Yardımlaşma duygusu insanlık tarihinde çok gerilere gider. Her toplum kendine özgü yardımlaşma ve dayanışma kültürü üretmiştir. İslam ülkelerinde tarihi süreç içerisinde bu faaliyetler en güzel şekilde vakıflar eliyle yürütülmüştür. Vakıflar İslam medeniyeti içerisinde her zaman özel bir yer işgal etmiştir. Devamlılık düşüncesi ile hayır yapmak vakıf yoluyla mümkün olmaktadır. Fukara ve ihtiyaç sahiplerine yardım etmenin toplumsal öneminin farkında olan Osmanlı Devleti’nin bu amaçla kurduğu hayrat kurumlarının başında hiç şüphesiz imaretler gelmektedir. İmaretin temelinde de vakıf kurumu vardır. İmaretler tarih boyunca fakirleri, yolcuları ve öğrencileri destekleyen kurumlar olmuşlardır. Osmanlı’da çok sayıda var olan bu türden kuruluşlar arasında Ilgın Lala Mustafa Paşa külliyesi ve içindeki imaret kendi döneminde önemli sosyal hizmetler icra etmiş vakıf kuruluşlarımız arasındadır. Günümüzde bazı vakıf ve sivil toplum kuruluşları da bu geleneği aynı anlayışla sürdürmektedirler., The sense of solidarity in societies goes way back in human history. Societies have produced their own cultures of cooperation and solidarity in this regard. In Islamic countries, this activity was carried out by foundations in the historical time. Foundations occupy a special place in Islamic civilization. It is possible to do charity with the idea of continuity through the foundation. Undoubtedly, imaret is one of the leading charity institutions established by the Ottoman Empire, which knows the importance of helping the poor and needy people. There is also a foundation institution on the basis of the imaret. Almshouses have been institutions that support the poor, travelers and students throughout history. Ilgın Lala Mustafa Pasha complex and the imaret inside are among our foundation institutions that performed important social services in their period. Fortunately some foundations and non-governmental organizations continue this tradition in nowadays.

Birbirine benzeyen meselelerin aynı yahut benzer genel önermelere göre çözümlenmesi hukuki anlayışta ve uygulamada istikrar açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu açıdan külli (temel) kâideler hukuk mantığının gelişmesine katkı verirler. İslâm hukuk tarihi itibariyle bu mantığın ürünü olan uygulama ve hukuki eserlere erken dönemlerden itibaren rastlanır. Bu kâidelerin önemli bir kısmı Kur’an-ı Kerim ve Hadis-i Şeriflerden ya doğrudan alınmış veya bazı nasların ortak anlamı olarak ortaya çıkmışlardır. Ancak bu temel önermelerin bir kanunlaştırmaya konu oluşu ilk defa ve kapsamlı olarak Mecelle-i Ahkâm-ı Adliye vasıtasıyla olmuştur. Osmanlının en önemli milli kanun kodu kabul edilebilecek olan Mecelle’de ilk yüz maddesi çerçevesinde bunlar düzenlenmiştir. Bunlar arasında 91’inci maddede tazminat hukukunun önemli bileşenlerinden olan; “Cevâz-ı şer'î ḍamâna münafidir” kâidesi yer alır. Mecelle, zararın giderilmesinin arz ettiği öneme ve haksız fiilin sonuçlarına farklı maddelerinde vurgu yaptıktan sonra hukuka uygunluk sebepleri arasında yer alan, hukukun cevaz vermesi ile zararın giderilmesi ilişkisini bu maddede veciz bir şekilde düzenlemiştir. Külli kâideler mahkemelerde doğrudan uygulanmak yerine hâkimlere, uygulayıcılara ve hukuk insanlarına yol gösterici, kanaat oluşturucu etkiye sahiptirler., The resolution of similar cases according to the same or similar general rules is very important in terms of stability in legal understanding and practice. In this respect, universal rules (basic rules) contribute to the development of legal logic. As of the history of Islamic law, practices and legal works that are the product of this logic have been encountered since the early periods. An important part of these rules are either taken directly from the Ḳur'ān and Ḥadīt̲h̲ or they have emerged as the common meaning of the texts. However, these basic rules were subject to a legalization for the first time and comprehensively through Med̲j̲elle-yi Aḥkām-i̊ ʿAdliyye. These were arranged within the framework of the first hundred articles of the Med̲j̲elle, which can be accepted as the most important national code of the Ottomans. Among these, one of the important components of the compensation law in Article 91;"legal permissibility (cevāz-ı şerʿî) does not create liability." is included. After emphasizing the importance of remedying the damage and the consequences of the tortious act in different articles, it concisely regulates the relationship between the legal permissibility and the compensate of the damage, which is among the reasons for legality. Instead of being directly applied in courts, universal rules have a guiding and opinion-forming effect for judges, practitioners and lawyers.

Türk Borçlar Kanununda beğenme koşulu ile satış, alıcının satılanı deneyerek veya gözden geçirerek beğenmesi koşuluyla yapılan satış olarak tanımlanır. Satış sözleşmesinin bu türünde alıcı satılanı kabul edip etmemekte tamamen serbest hareket eder. İradesi beğenme yönünde olursa geçerli bir satış sözleşmesi olarak hüküm ve sonuçlar doğurur. Alıcı beğenme şartına bağlı olarak geciktirici iradi bir hakka sahip olmuş olur. Bekleme döneminde tarafların hak ve borçları söz konusudur. Bu dönemde alıcı maldan bazı yararlar elde etmiş olabilir. İradesi olumlu olduğunda bunlara sahip olmaya devam eder, aksi halde iade etmesi gerekecektir. Beğenme şartıyla satış sözleşmesi Türk Borçlar Kanununda 249-252 maddeleri arasında düzenlenmiştir. Bu satış türünün tanımı ise md. 249’da verilmiştir. Bu maddeye göre, “Beğenme koşuluyla satış, alıcının satılanı deneyerek veya gözden geçirerek beğenmesi koşuluyla yapılan satıştır.” Yine kanun tarafların hak ve borçlarını 250. maddede tespit etmiştir. Buna göre, “Beğenme koşuluyla satışta alıcı, satılanı kabul etmekte veya hiçbir sebep göstermeksizin geri vermekte serbesttir. Satılan, alıcının zilyetliğine geçmiş olsa bile, satılanın mülkiyeti, beğenme koşulunun gerçekleştiği ana kadar satıcıda kalır.” İslam hukukunda ve Mecelle’de bu müessesenin bir benzerini görmek mümkündür. Mecelle bu türden bir sözleşme için iki kavram kullanır: Sevm-i şirāʾ ve sevm-i naẓar. Bunlardan özellikle ilki beğenme koşulu ile satışla birçok bakımdan benzerlik gösterir. Bu sözleşme türünde malın beğenme şartına bağlı olarak teslimi söz konusudur. Ayrıca bedel taraflar arasında belirlenmiş ve üzerinde mutabık kalınmıştır. Bedel konusundaki bu hususiyet satılanın hasarı konusunda belirleyici olmaktadır. Sevm-i şirāʾ yolu ile satış sözleşmesinde bedelin konuşulmuş ve üzerinde anlaşılmış olması önemlidir. Ayrıca alıcının malı teslim alması gerektiği de Mecelle md. 298’de ifade edilmiştir. Mecelle md. 299’da düzenlenmiş sevm-i naẓarda ise malı görmek ve başkasına göstermek üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu ikincideki sorumluluk ilkinden farklı olarak emanet kapsamında değerlendirilmiştir. Sevm-i şirāʾ ve naẓar arasında belirtilen farklar dikkate alındığında, sevm-i şirāʾnın Türk hukukunda yer alan beğenme koşuluyla satış hükümleri ile önemli ölçüde benzerlik arz ettiği göze çarpar. Bu benzerliklerden en önemlisi genel görüşe göre beğenme şartıyla satış sözleşmesinin geciktirici şarta rağmen kurulmuş olması itibariyle sevm-i şirāʾda olduğu gibi teslime bağlı olarak hasarın alıcıya geçmesidir. Çalışma konuyu ağırlıklı olarak Mecelle özelinde ve İslam hukuku bakımından ele almakta, Türk Hukuku ile önemli ayrım ve benzeşim noktalarında konunun özü itibariyle karşılaştırmalar yapmaktadır., In the Turkish Code of Obligations, saling by condition of approval is defined as a sale made on the condition that the buyer likes the purchased goods by trying or inspecting it. In this type of sales contract, the buyer is completely free to accept or return the sold goods. If the will is to like, the sale is completed as a valid sales contract. The buyer has a discretionary right to return, depending on the condition of approval. There are rights and obligations of the parties in the waiting period. During this period, the buyer may have benefited from the goods. When his will is positive, he continues to have the goods; otherwise, he will have to return them. Saling by condition of approval is regulated between articles 249-251 in the Turkish Code of Obligations. The definition of this type of sale is given in article 249. According to this article, “Sale by condition of approval is a sale on the condition of approval by the buyer through trying or inspecting on purchased goods.” Again, the law determined the rights and obligations of the parties in Article 250. According to this, “In a sale by condition of approval, the buyer is free to accept or return the sold goods object without having to indicate any reason. Even if the sold goods object passed into the buyer’s possession, ownership of it remains with the buyer until the condition of approval is fulfilled.” It is possible to see a similar institution in the Islamic Ottoman law in Majalla. Majalla uses two concepts for this type of contract. These are sawm-i shirā and sawm-i naẓar. In particular, the first of these is similar to sales in many respects with the condition of approval. In this type of contract, the delivery of the goods is subject to the condition of appreciation. In addition, the price was determined and agreed upon between the parties. This feature regarding the price is decisive for the damage of the sold goods. It is important that the price has been discussed and agreed upon in the sales contract by way of sawm-i shirā. In addition, the buyer should take delivery of the goods was expressed in article 298 of Majalla. Sawm-i naẓar also focused on to see and show someone else the goods, which was regulated in article 299 of Majalla. Unlike the first, the responsibility in the second is considered within the scope of entrusting (amānah). Considering the differences between sawm-i shirā and sawm-i naẓar, it is striking that the term of savm-i shirā is remarkably similar to the sale by condition of approval in Turkish law. The most important of these similarities is that the sale by condition of approval was established despite the delayed condition, the damage passes to the buyer, as in the case of sawm-i shirā, depending on the delivery. This study mainly deals with the subject in terms of Majalla and Islamic law and makes comparisons with Turkish law in terms of the important distinctive and similar points of the subject.

Methotrexate (MTX) is an antifolate and antimetabolite group chemotherapeutic agent that has been used in the treatment of many diseases since 1948. MTX treatment has various dose- dependent side effects. The occurrence of these side effects prolongs the treatment process and reduces the success of the treatment. One of the important side effect of MTX treatment is on liver and named as hepatotoxicity. In studies for many years, it has been found that the formation of hepatotoxicity is caused by the disruption of the cellular antioxidant defense mechanism. When the antioxidant defense mechanism is damaged, reactive oxygen radicals increases and causes oxidative damage in hepatocytes. It is thought that antioxidant combination with MTX may reduce these side effects. The purpose of this review is to investigate various antioxidants used to reduce the severity of MTX induced hepatotoxicity.Key Words: Antioxidant, Hepatotoxicity, Methotrexate

Background: Methotrexate (MTX) can cause oxidative stress-related tissue damage.Vitamin E neutralizes lipid peroxidation arising from the effect of free oxygen radicals.In this study, the protective effect of vitamin E against possible MTX-related testicular damage was analyzed.Method: Thirty two mature male Spraque dawley rats were grouped as MTX, Vitamin E, MTX+Vitamin, Control groups. 20 mg/kg MTX intraperitoneal (i.p.) was applied to MTX Group in the first day; 100mg/kg i.p. vitamin E was applied to Vitamin E Group for 5 days; 20 mg/kg i.p. MTX in the first day and 100 mg/kg i.p. vitamin E for 5 days were applied to MTX+Vitamin E Group;2 ml physiological saline solution (i.p.) was applied to Control Group for 5 days. Histopathology, flow cytometry and apoptosis were evaluated on testicular tissue. Result: Apoptotic Index (%) and testicular damage were highest for MTX Group, and significant decrease was observed for MTX+Vitamin E Group compared to MTX Group.Seminiferous tubule size significant decreased in MTX Group and it increased in MTX+Vitamin E Group compared to MTX Group. No significant difference was found between MTX and MTX+Vitamin E Groups regarding germinal epithelium thickness and testicle weights.Conclusion: The results show that MTX can cause structural disruptions in testicles and vitamin E can rehabilitate MTX-related testicular damage., Amaç: Metotreksat oksidatif strese bağlı doku hasarına neden olmaktadır. E vitamini serbest oksijen radikallerinden etkisiyle oluşan lipt peroksidasyonunu nötralize eder. Bu çalışma ile E vitamininin olası Metotreksat bağlantılı testiküler hasara karşı koruyucu etkileri analiz edildi.Materyal-Metot: Otuz iki erkek Spraque dawley sıçan MTX, E Vitamini, MTX+ E Vitamini, Kontrol olarak gruplandırıldı. İlk gün MTX grubuna intraperitoneal(i.p.) 20 mg/kg MTX, E vitamini grubuna 5 gün 100 mg/kg i.p. E vitamini, MTX+E Vitamini grubuna ilk gün 20 mg/kg i.p. MTX ve 5 gün 100 mg/kg i.p. E vitamini uygulandı. Kontrol grubuna 5 gün 2 ml serum fizyolojik (i.p.) uygulandı. Testiküler dokuda histopatolojik, akım sitometrik analizler yapıldı ve apoptoz değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Apoptotik indeks (%) ve testiküler hasar en fazla MTX grubundayken, MTX+E Vitamini grubunda MTX grubuna göre anlamlı derecede azalma gözlendi. Seminifer tubule çapı MTX grubunda belirgin şekilde azalırken, MTX+E Vitamini grubunda MTX grubuna göre artış gözlendi. MTX ve MTX+E Vitamini grupları arasında germinal epitelyum ve testiküler ağırlıkta açısında anlamlı farklılık yoktu.Sonuç: Sonuçlara göre MTX testislerde yapısal hasara neden olabilirken, E vitamini MTX'e bağlı testiküler hasarı düzeltebilir.

Günümüzde yaşanan virüs salgınına İslam ve Türk hukuk tarihi perspektifinden baktığımızda Darüşşifaların önemli fonksiyonlar icra ettiğini görürüz. İslam tarihinde konunun Hz. Peygamber’den itibaren özellikle salgın boyutundaki vak’alara ilişkin bugüne de ışık tutabilecek ölçüde bulaş tehlikesine karşı tedbirler alınmıştır. Bu tedbirlere Hz. Peygamber sonrası dönemde de riayet edildiğini görüyoruz. Hz. Ömer’e Şam’da veba çıktığı haberi verilince vebanın olduğu yere gitmemiş, kendisine, “Allah’ın kaderinden mi kaçıyorsun?” sorusuna Allah’ın kaderinden yine O’nun kaderine sığındığını cevabını vermiştir. (Buhârî, Ṭıb 30; Müslim, Selâm 98-100) Salgın olan yere yaklaşmamak ve salgın olan yeri terketmemek, bu tedbirler arasında bugün de benzer şekilde görülen sosyal mesafe ve karantina altında kalmak tedbirlerine oldukça benzer yönleri bulunmaktadır. 749 (1348) yılında geniş bir coğrafyaya yayılan tâun sırasında Şam şehri ve yakınlarında günde 300’den fazla insanın öldüğünü, sadece Emeviyye Camii’nde bir vakitte on beş kişinin cenaze namazının kılındığını kayıtlarda geçmektedir. Osmanlı döneminde salgın bulunan yeri terk konusunda hukukçuların eserlerinde çeşitli tartışmalara rastlanır. 16. Yüzyıldan sonra bulaşıcı hastalık olan bölgeden havası daha temiz bölgelere intikalin cevazıyla ilgili fetvalar verilmiş olduğunu gibi, salgından kaçarak görevini yerine getirmeyen kamu görevlilerine de ta’zir ve azil cezaları verilmiştir. İslam dünyasında ilk darüşşifa 707 yılında Emevi Halifesi Velid b. Abdülmelik tarafından kurulmuştur. Bundan sonraki dönemlerde bîmaristan ve darüşşifa olarak sağlık hizmetleri belli ölçüde kurumsallaşmıştır. İlk Selçuklu eserinin de Nizamülmülk tarafından Nişabur’da kurulduğunu görüyoruz. Yine Bağdat’da 1066’da Nizamiye Medresesi ve Hastanesi bunu takip etmiştir. Sonrasında Harran ve Mardin’deki hastanelerinin de içinde olduğu birçok şehirde benzer darüşşifaları görüyoruz. Anadolu Selçuklularında da bu atılımın sürmesi ile yine birçok yerleşim yerinde bölgesel hizmet kabiliyeti de olan darüşşifaları görmekteyiz. Bunlar arasında en bilinenlerinden olarak Kayseri Gevher Nesibe, Sivas Keykavus ve Konya Alaeddin darüşşifaları zikredilebilir. Bu darüşşifaların kuruluş ve işleyişlerinde İslam tarihinde önemli bir yer tutan vakıf medeniyetinin izlerini görmek mümkündür. Birçok alanda vakıf yoluyla kamu hizmeti yerine getiren vakıflar, sağlık alanında özellikle devletin önemli ölçüde yükünü almış görünmektedir. Bu müesseselerin vakıf yoluyla sürdürülebilirlikleri sağlanmıştır. Vakıf hukukunda kuruluş ana statüsü olan vakfiyelerde vakfın kurucusunun iradesi çok önemli yer tutar. Vâkıfın ortaya koyduğu şartlar şâriin (kanun koyucunun) nassı gibidir. Bu vakfiyelerde özellikle gelirlerin neler olduğu ortaya konurken, bir hastane kurumu düşünüldüğünde harcama yerleri de detaylı ortaya konmak durumundadır. Darüşşifaların işletmesi için gereken kaynağın tedariki bakımından han, hamam, ürün veren arazi işletmeleri türündeki gelir getirici müsteğallat ve müsakkafat belirtilir. Sonraki dönemlerde de vakıf kurucusu yahut başkalarının bu amaçla tasarrufta bulunmaları hep görülen hususlardandır. Bunlar vakfiyelerin kadı sicillerine tescili ile ve ayrıca bu belgelerde şahitlerin (şühûdu’l-hal) imzaları ile kayıt altına alınırdı. Ayrıca bu gelirlerin câbiler tarafından toplama usulleri, kimlerin vakfın amaçlarına uygun olarak bu gelirlerden harcama yapacakları vakfiyelerde açık olarak belirtilmekteydi. Hazırlanan vakfiyelerde darüşşifanın işleyiş şekli kesin kurallara bağlanırdı. Vakfiye artık o hastanenin tüzüğü mesabesindeydi. Vakıf mütevellileri sistemin idaresinden sorumlu oldukları kadar, görevliler üzerinde iç kontrol mekanizmasını sağlamakla da yükümlüydüler. Ayrıca genellikle mütevelliden farklı bir kişi olarak, nazır adı verilen bir kontrol görevlisi de bu konuda daha özel bir misyon üstlenmişti. Hastanenin düzeni ve işletilmesinden esasen mütevelli sorumlu olup, bu şahıs vakıf kurucusunun güvendiği ve işin ehli bir kimse olmak durumundadır. Vakfiyede sonraki mütevelliler için açık ve bağlayıcı bir tanımlama yapılmamışsa bu konuda yetki mahkemede olmaktadır. Mütevelli ayrıca hastalıkların teşhisi ve tedavisi konusunda gereken tedbirleri almakla yükümlüdür. Bunlar yapılmadığında vakfın amacına uygun davranılmış olmaz. Konunun vakıf darüşşifa ilişkisini ortaya koymak bakımından vakfiyeler en temel hukuki belgelerdir. When we look at the current virus outbreak from the perspective of Islamic and Turkish legal history, we see that Darüşşifa performs important functions. Since the Prophet, precautions have been taken against the risk of transmission, especially to the extent of epidemic cases, to shed light on the present day. We see that the precautions were followed in the post-prophet period. When Ömer was informed that the plague had happened in Damascus, he did not go to the plague, he said to him, “Are you running away from the fate of Allah?” He replied to the question of the fate of Allah that he took refuge in His fate again. Not approaching the place where it was epidemic and not leaving the place where it was epidemic, and these measures are quite similar to the social distance and quarantine measures that are similar today. It is recorded in 749 (1348) that during the taun, which spread over a wide geography, more than 300 people died a day in Damascus and its vicinity, and that the funeral prayers of fifteen people were performed at a time only in the Umayya Mosque. There are various discussions in the works of lawyers about leaving the place that was found to be epidemic in the Ottoman period. After the 16th century, fatwas were given about the answer of the transfer from the region, which has an infectious disease, to the areas with cleaner air, as well as public officials who have not been able to fulfill their duties by escaping from the epidemic have also been punished like ta’zir and dismissed. The first darüşşifa in the Islamic world in 89 (707), was founded by Velid b. Abdülmelik Umayyad Caliph. In the following periods, health services have been institutionalized to a certain extent as bimaristan and darüşşifa. We see that the first Seljuk work was also founded in Nishapur by Nizamülmülk. Again, in 1066, Nizamiye Madrasa and Hospital followed this in Baghdad. Afterwards, we see similar hospitals in many cities, including their hospitals (darüşşifa) in Harran and Mardin. With this breakthrough in the Anatolian Seljuks, we see darüşşifa, which also has regional service capabilities in many settlements. Among the most well-known among these, Kayseri Gevher Nesibe, Sivas Keykavus and Konya Alaeddin hospitals can be mentioned. It is possible to see the traces of the waqf civilization which played an important role in the history of Islam about the establishment and the running of these hospitals. The foundations that perform public service through foundations in many areas seem to have taken a significant workload on the state, especially in the field of health. Sustainability of these institutions was ensured through the foundation. The founder’s will has a very important place in the foundation law, which is the main status of the waqf. The conditions set forth by the foundation is like the rule of the legislator. In these foundation conditions documents (vakfiye), especially when it comes to revealing what the incomes are, considering as an hospital institution, spending places also have to be revealed in detail. In terms of procuring the resources required for the operation of the darüşşifa, the income- generating of the type of inns, baths, and land enterprises that produce products are specified. It is always seen that the founder of the foundation or others donate for this purpose in the following periods. These were registered in the court records of the foundations and also by signing by the witnesses in these documents. In addition, the method of collecting these revenues by the authorities (câbi) was clearly stated in the foundations to whom they would spend from these revenues in accordance with the aims of the foundation. In the prepared foundations, the way the hospital was operated was bound by strict rules. The foundation was now on the basis of that hospital’s charter. Foundation trustees (mütevelli) were responsible for ensuring the internal control mechanism over the officials as well as for the administration of the system. In addition, as a person different from the trustee, a control officer, called nâzır, had undertaken a more specific mission in this regard. The trustee is mainly responsible for the layout and operation of the hospital, and this person has to be trusted by the founder and competent. If there is no clear and binding definition for subsequent trustees in the foundation, the authority must be in court. The trustee is also obliged to take the necessary measures for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases. When these are not done, the purpose of the foundation will not be treated. The foundation conditions documents (vakfiye) are the most basic legal documents in order to reveal the relationship of the subject matters to the foundation hospital.

Objectives: In this study, we investigated the patients who were referred to our clinic with a prediagnosis of glaucoma based on retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) defects on optic coherence tomography (OCT) but were determined to have nonglaucomatous RNLF defects upon detailed examination. Materials and Methods: The ophthalmic examination notes, OCT images, Heidelberg retinal tomography (HRT) II and fundus photographs of 357 patients were retrospectively evaluated. Final diagnoses of these patients were investigated. Results: Of the 357 patients, 216 (60.5%) were diagnosed as open angle glaucoma, 33 (9.2%) as low-tension glaucoma, 39 (10.9%) as pre-perimetric glaucoma. The ophthalmic examinations of 14 patients (3.9%) were normal and there were no RNFL defects in OCT examinations after dilatation. In 39 patients (10.9%), the ophthalmic and optic disc examinations were completely normal and no etiologic factor explaining RNFL defects was found. Twenty-two eyes of 16 patients (4.5%) were included in this study (the mean age was 53.8 +/- 11.5 years; 9 men and 7 women). After detailed questioning of the medical history and systemic and neurologic examinations, a diagnosis of ischemic optic neuropathy was made in 11 eyes (10 patients) (2.8%), optic neuritis in 3 eyes (2 patients) (0.6%), optic disc drusen in 4 eyes (2 patients) (0.6%), pseudotumor cerebri in 2 eyes (1 patient) (0.3%), and cerebral palsy in 2 eyes (1 patient) (0.3%). Conclusion: Decrease in RNFL thickness on OCT images alone may be misleading in glaucoma examination. In cases where optic disc cupping is not evident, diagnosis should not be based on OCT RNFL examinations alone, and the patient's medical history, detailed ophthalmic examination, OCT optic disc parameters, HRT, and visual field tests should all be carefully evaluated together.
