Traditional rural houses reflect architectural elements of a region in the simplest form. In this context, this study aims to document and reveal the typologies of the construction systems and door and window formations of the traditional buildings in rural Alanya, Turkey. It is of importance to document the wooden elements that deteriorate rapidly and ensure the continuity of the architectural elements of the region. For this reason, 395 buildings in 68 villages were analyzed, their door-window types were identified, and typologies were revealed. In addition, similar studies conducted in nearby regions were screened to reveal similarities and differences. In this way, the knowledge of the architectural features of the region will be protected.

On Friday, January 24, 2020 at 20.55 local time, an earthquake with a magnitude ofMw = 6.8 has occurred in Sivrice district of Elazığ. The focal mechanism solution is consistentwith pure left-lateral strike-slip faulting; the location of the epicenter and fault mechanismsuggest deformation along the Pütürge Segment of the East Anatolian Fault Zone. A 10-dayfieldwork was carried out along the Pütürge Segment to study surface deformation; the geometryof the surface rupture and other seismic geomorphological structures were mapped andstudied. The field data is also correlated with satellite images. This paper therefore presentsclassification of seismic geomorphological structures and discuss intimate relationship betweenfault geometry and stress field in the region.Seismic geomorphological deformation and related features of the Sivrice (Elazığ) earthquakeare observed in the area between Gezin (Elazığ) and Ormaniçi (Pütürge) villages; theyare classified into two as seismotectonic and seismo-gravitational features. Surface ruptureand cracks, uplifted and subsiding topography and elongated pressure ridges are commonseismotectonic surface features. Seismo-gravitational surface features include structures relatedto mass movements, lateral spreading and liquefaction. Field observations confirm thatseismo-gravitational structures develop along both Gezin-Sivrice-Doğanbağı and Doğanbağı-Çevrimtaş-Ilıncak-Koldere-Ormaniçi sections of the Pütürge Segment while surface rupture Koldere-Ormaniçi section. Small-scale landslides, rock falls, feather cracks along asphaltic roads,and laterally discontinues ground failure-related features are common seismo-gravitationalstructures that developed along the fault zone. In addition, small-scale lateral spreading andliquefaction structures are common especially in areas where fault-perpendicular streamsmeet the Karakaya Dam reservoir. The surface rupture is mapped as stepping and overlappingen echelon fractures along elongated pressure ridge between Çevrimtaş and Doğanbağ villages,to northwest of Ilıncak village, along 1.5-km-long pressure ridge between Topaluşağı andDoğanyol, across the elongated hill that developed on an alluvial fan to the northwest of Doğanyoland in the area between Koldere and Ormaniçi villages. Surface fractures deformingthe pressure ridges are all aligned parallel to the long axes of the ridges. They also displayreverse components and define small-scale pop-up structures.Interferometric SAR (DInSAR) studies indicate a 10-cm uplift in the northwestern block ofthe fault and a 6-cm subsidence in the southeast block. The difference in vertical movementsbetween two blocks of the fault is interpreted to suggest that at least 30-km-long section of thePütürge Segment in the area between southwest of Sivrice and Pütürge is broken during themain shock. Although the focal mechanism solution of the main shock gives pure left-lateralstrike-slip faulting, there is no significant left-lateral displacement observed during the fieldwork.This can be explained by followings: (i) left-lateral strike-slip displacement was notable to reach the surface; (ii) left-lateral torque movement of the fault around a vertical axisduring the earthquake, (iii) restraining bend nature of the Pütürge Segment, or (iv) the presenceof Pütürge metamorphics along the fault strike. It is also important to note that along mostpart of the Pütürge Segment where surface rupture is observed, talus, colluvial or alluvial fansediments are exposed; unconsolidated and/or poorly consolidated nature of these sedimentsmay also be counted as one of the main reason for not observing horizontal displacement onthe surface.

If the preservation of the historical structures has not been possible in some cases, it is possible that rebuilding them with sources that we have. In the light of information that obtained with certain and accurate documents rebuilding them with its original state can be defined as reconstruction. In this study, it is presented that Derbentçik Mosque’s, which is in Ankara Province, Beypazarı District, Derbentçik Village, reconstruction proposal. The biggest problem is that mosque is not preserved enough and how it can be best managed. For its solution, structure examined in its place, its measures are taken, data are evaluated and offered a solution. In this direction, it is decided that the best method is reconstruction. As a result of the study certain data are reached, similar structures are found and with comparing the mosque restitution findings are revealed. The findings will shed the light for other structures in what conditions that reconstruction can be made., Bu çalışmada Ankara İli, Beypazarı İlçesi, Derbentçik Köyü’nde bulunanDerbentçik Camisinin Rekonstrüksiyon önerisi sunulmuştur. Caminin yeterincekorunamamış olması ve en uygun nasıl yaşatılabileceği en büyük problemdir.Bunun çözümü için yapı yerinde incelenmiş, ölçüleri alınmış, verilerdeğerlendirilmiş ve çözüm önerisi getirilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda en iyi yönteminrekonstrüksiyon olması gerektiğine karar verilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda kesinverilere ulaşılmış, benzer yapılar bulunmuş ve cami ile karşılaştırılarakrestitüsyon bulguları ortaya koyulmuştur. Bulgular diğer yapılar içinderekonstrüksiyonun hangi şartlarda yapılabileceğine ışık tutacaktır.

Bu çalışmada Çankırıİli, Merkez İlçesi’nde bulunan Tarihi Baro Evine ait restorasyon önerisisunulmuştur. Yapının aslına uygun olarak korunabilmesi, nasıl yaşanılabilir vekullanışlı hale getirilebileceği en büyük problemdir. Bunun çözümü için yapıyerinde incelenmiş, gelişmiş ölçüm sistemlerinden lazer tarayıcı kullanılarak ölçülerialınmış, veriler değerlendirilmiş, restitüsyon ve restorasyon kararları verilerekçözüm önerisi getirilmiştir. Budoğrultuda en iyi yöntemin yapının fonksiyonu değiştirilerek kullanılır halegetirilmesi olacağına karar verilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda bilgiler çizimeaktarılarak bir restorasyon projesi ortaya koyulmuştur. Bu doğrultuda benzeryapılar için restorasyon kararları alınırken nasıl bir yol izlenebileceğine vefonksiyon değişikliğinin nasıl uygulanması gerektiğine dair diğer araştırmalaraışık tutmak hedeflemiştir. Kültür Varlığı niteliğindeki yapıları korumak hemçok zor bir o kadar da önemlidir. Yanlış yapılacak uygulamalarda yapıyıkorumaktan öte daha çok zarar verecektir. Bundan dolayı restorasyon çalışmalarıalınan uygun kararlar doğrultusunda konusunda uzman kişiler tarafındanyapılmalıdır. Yapıyı korumak sadece onu ayakta tutmak değil aynı zamandabenliğini de korumak anlamına gelmelidir., Inthis study the restoration proposal for the historical Baro House located inCentrum, Çankırı has been presented. The structures’ biggest problem isactually preserving it and bringing it to a livable and useful state. As asolution for this, the structure has been analyzed, data was received by usinga laser scanner, one of advanced measurement instruments, to scan the building,data was assessed and restitution and restoration decisions were given as asolution offer. Accordingly, the best method settled on was changing thefunction of the structure to bring it to a usable state. At the end of thestudy information was transferred to illustration and a restoration project wasput forth. Accordingly, it aims to shed on other similar propositions on whichroad can be taken while deciding a restoration for similar structures and howfunctional changes should be implemented. Protecting structures qualified ascultural assets is difficult but just as important. Incorrect implementationscan harm rather than protect. As a result of this proper, decisions made forrestoration efforts should be given by experts in their field. Protecting astructure is not just keeping it intact but it also means protecting its’individuality.

Buaraştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim öğrencilerinin okuma alışkanlığı kazanmadurumlarını, öğretmenlerinin ve kendilerinin görüşleri doğrultusundabelirlemeye çalışmaktır. Tarama modelindeki bu araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Boluİlinden 110 öğretmen ve 252 öğrenciden oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada verilerintoplanması için araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan “Okuma Alışkanlığı ÖğrenciAnketi” ve “Okuma Alışkanlığı Öğretmen Anketi” kullanılmıştır. Anket formları,Bolu’daki ilköğretim okullarında 2., 3., 4. ve 5. Sınıfta görev yapanöğretmenlere ve bu öğretmenlerin öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada anketyoluyla toplanan verilerin analizinde yüzde ve frekans kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara dayalıolarak şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: Öğrencilerin tamamına yakını kendisindeokuma alışkanlığı olduğunu, öğretmenlerin tamamınayakını da öğrencilerinin okuma alışkanlığı gelişimlerini takip ettiğinibelirtmiştir. Öğretmenlerin, okuma alışkanlığı kazandırma konusunda velilerle çalışmalaryaptıkları ancak sınıf kitaplıklarındaki yayın türlerinin çok çeşitli olmadığı, sınıfolarak yayın abonelikleri olmadığı ve öğrencilerinin sınıfkitaplıklarından aktif olarak faydalanmaları için çok çabalı olmadıklarıbelirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerinokumalarını olumsuz etkileyen etmenler arasında televizyon izlemeyi vebilgisayar oyunlarını okumaya tercih etme yer almıştır.
