Ziel: Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es durch eine Umfrage zu ermitteln, wie Kinder und Jugendliche, sowie deren Eltern und Erziehungsberechtigte in die ergotherapeutische Anliegenerhebung und Zielfindung in Österreich einbezogen werden. Methodik: Ergotherapeut*innen, welche derzeit in Österreich in der Pädiatrie tätig sind, wurden mittels Online-Umfrage befragt. Die vorwiegend quantitativen Fragen behandelten Anliegenerhebung, Zielfindung und Evaluierung, sowie persönliche Einstellungen. Ergebnisse wurden mit der Literatur verglichen, sowie um Empfehlungen für die Praxisimplementierung ergänzt. Ergebnisse: Die Antworten von 123 Ergotherapeut*innen wurden in die Ergebnisse eingeschlossen. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass Kinder und Eltern weitgehend in die Anliegenerhebung (98% und 99%) und Zielfindung (91% und 97%) einbezogen werden. Hierfür wendet der Großteil der Befragten freie Gespräche an (81%). Von den meisten Ergotherapeut*innen wird mindestens eine der betätigungs- und klient*innenzentrierten Methoden zur Anliegenerhebung und Zielsetzung verwendet (79%). Conclusio: Ergotherapeut*innen erachten Kollaboration als essenziell. Sie wird unterschiedlich umgesetzt. Es bestehen diverse Schwierigkeiten im Einbezug von Kindern und Eltern. Die Literatur benennt einige Lösungsstrategien dafür. In der Online-Umfrage wurden die Ansichten der Ergotherapeut*innen berücksichtigt. Sichtweisen der jungen Patient*innen und deren Bezugspersonen sind in einem weiteren Schritt zu erfassen. Es bedarf weiterer qualitativer und quantitativer Forschung. However, studies report different ways of handling this collaboration and difficulties in its implementation. In Austria, there are no current surveys that ask occupational therapists about the involvement of children and parents. Aim: The aim of the study is to determine by means of a survey how children and adolescents, as well as their parents and guardians, are involved in occupational therapy enquiries and goal setting in Austria. Methods: Occupational therapists currently working in paediatrics in Austria were interviewed with an online survey. The predominantly quantitative questions dealt with raising concerns, goal setting and evaluation, as well as personal attitudes. Results were compared with existing literature and recommendations for practice implementation were added. Results: The responses of 123 occupational therapists were included in the results. It shows that children and parents are largely involved in raising concerns (98% and 99%) and setting goals (91% and 97%). For this purpose, the majority of respondents use open conversations (81%). Most of the occupational therapists use at least one of the activity- and client-centred methods for raising concerns and setting goals (79%). Conclusion: Occupational therapists consider collaboration as essential. It is implemented differently. There are various difficulties in involving children and parents. Existing literature gives some strategies for solving them. In this paper mainly the views of the occupational therapists were considered. The opinions of the young patients and their caregivers should be considered in a further step. Additional qualitative and quantitative research is needed.

Although research indicates that making progress on personal work goals predicts positive job attitudes, little is known about the role of conscientiousness in moderating this relationship. Congruence theories suggest that job attitudes will be more dependent on goal progress when employees are high in conscientiousness, whereas compensation theories suggest the opposite. We test these competing hypotheses in a three-wave, 4-month longitudinal panel study of 121 trainee teachers, who are at their early stages of career development. Conscientiousness moderated the relationships between progress on personal work goals and job attitudes according to the compensatory pattern, such that employees displayed stronger increases in job satisfaction and affective organizational commitment in response to goal progress when they were low rather than high in conscientiousness. Our results help to resolve conflicting findings about the relationship between goal progress and job attitudes and adjudicate competing hypotheses about the role of conscientiousness in moderating this relationship.

In einer Feldstudie, an der 42 Hausfrauen teilnahmen, wurden charakteristische Merkmale von persönlichen Anliegen untersucht, und es wurde überprüft, welchen Einfluß persönliche Anliegen auf die Erfahrung und Beurteilung von Alltagssituationen ausüben. In einem Interview beschrieben die Teilnehmerinnen zunächst ihre Anliegen und schätzten sie anschießend nach einer Reihe von Anliegenparametern ein (z.B. nach der Höhe ihrer Bereitschaft, sich für die Verwirklichung eines Anliegens einzusetzen; oder nach der Verfügbarkeit von günstigen Gelegenheiten, bei denen ein Anliegen verfolgt werden kann). Außerdem zeichneten sie eine Woche lang ihre täglichen Aktivitäten, Stimmungen und Bedürfnisse auf. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, (a) daß persönliche Anliegen nach dem Ausmaß an Entschlossenheit, ein anliegenrelevantes Ziel zu realisieren, sowie nach der Qualität vorteilhafter versus nachteiliger Realisierungsbedingungen beurteilt wurden; (b) daß die Intensität, mit der sich die Teilnehmerinnen mit ihre persönlichen Anliegen beschäftigten, eng mit dem Ausmaß ihrer Entschlossenheit zusammenhing, während ihre diesbezügliche Erfolgserwartung von der Beurteilung der vorliegenden Realisierungsbedingungen bestimmt wurde; (c) daß sich Fortschritte bei der Realisierung von Anliegen ebenso wie positive und negative Stimmungslagen im Alltag in bedeutsamem Umfang auf Unterschiede in der persönlichen Einsatzbereitschaft und in der Verfügbarkeit von günstigen Gelegenheiten zurückführen ließen; sowie (d) daß die Teilnehmerinnen anliegenrelevante Situationen im Alltag als Herausforderung erlebten, bei der sie ihre Fähigkeiten demonstrieren und ihr Selbstwertgefühl stärken konnten., 42 housewives participated in a field study in which characteristic dimensions of current concerns were explored, and influences current concerns exerted upon subjects' experience of and judgements about everyday situations were examined. A preceding interview required participants to describe their current concerns and to assess them through a series of concern attributes (e.g., subjects' readiness to invest effort in order to attain a concern-related goal; or availability of favorable opportunities to pursue current concerns). Subjects also recorded their daily activities, moods, and needs over a one-week period. Results demonstrated (a) that current concerns were construed along two dimensions indicating subjects' commitment to attain a concern-related goal and reflecting their judgement of facilitating versus debilitating environmental conditions; (b) that intensity of concern-related preoccupations was closely linked to commitment-related variables, whereas judgements about environmental conditions determined the subjective pro- bability of success; (c) that readiness to invest effort and availability of favorable opportunities accounted both for significant variations in progress toward goal attainment and for individual differences in positive versus negative mood in daily life situations; and (d) that participants perceived concern-related everyday situations as challenges, allowing them to demonstrate their abilities and to increase their sense of self-esteem.
