In this paper, we give a generalization of Srivastava-Gupta operators introduced by Srivastava and Gupta and estimate the rate of convergence for these operators for the real valued continuous bounded functions on the positive semi-axis.

In the present paper, we give a generalization of rational type Baskakov operators and study the order of approximation of continuous functions with polynomials growth at infinity by using these operators.

The purpose of this paper is to study the q- analogue of Favard-Szasz operators related to the q-Appell polynomials. We establish the approximation properties of these new operators and estimate the rate of convergence results.

Bu bölümün ikinci kısmında lineer pozitif operatörler ve özellikleri ile buna ilişkin örnekler verilmiştir. Ayrıca bir L lineer operatörünün sınırlığı ve normu ile C(a,b) uzayında L operatörünün normu incelenmiştir. Bu bölümün üçüncü kısmında ise C(a,b) uzayında Korovkin Teoreminin ifadesi ve ispatı verilmiştir. İkinci ve üçüncü bölümler çalışmamızın orjinal kısmını oluşturmaktadır. İkinci bölümde matematik edebiyatta Baskakov operatörü olarak tanımlanmış pozitif operatörler dizisinin bir genelleştirilmesi verilmiş ve bu yeni genelleştirilmiş pozitif operatörler dizisinin fonksiyonlara yaklaşımı verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümün ilk kısmında ikinci bölümde tanımlanmış lineer pozitif operatörlerin türevleri ile fonksiyonların türevlerine yaklaşım incelenmiş ve bunun ile ilgili yaklaşım teoremi verilmiş ve ispat edilmiştir. Bu bölümün ikinci kısmında ise, yaklaşım hızının süreklilik modülü ile değerlendirilmesi incelenmiştir ve elde edilen sonuçlar Baskakov, Stancu, Bernstein ve Szâsz operatörlerine uygulanmıştır. In the first chapter, the space C(a,b) with norm is introduced and the modulus of continuity and some related properties are given. Then the linear positive operators with properties and some examples related to them are given. Additionally, the boundedness and the norm of a linear operator L, in general, and the norm of L in C(a,b), in particular, are investigated. Finally, in this chapter, the proof of Korovkin Theorem in C(a,b) is given. The second and the third chapters are the original parts of the study. In the second chapter, a generalization of the sequence of positive operators known as Baskakov operator in literature are introduced and the approximation of the generalized sequence to functions are given. The first part of the third chapter is devoted to the investigation of the approximation of the derivatives of the linear positive operators to the derivetives of the functions defined in the second chapter. Some approximation theorems are proved. In the second part of this chapter, the approximation order with respect to the continuity is investigated and the results are applied to the wellknown Baskakov, Stoncu, Bernstein and Szasz operators.
