Nurses suffer from psychological stress at twice the rate of other professions. Oncology nurses face additional work-related stressors because of the nature of the disease, complex treatment, and constant encounters with suffering and dying patients and their families. International reports have correlated stress with turnover among these nurses; however, clinical settings in Jordan have reported a high turnover rate among oncology nurses that remains unexplored. To explore the impact of occupational stress on turnover among oncology nurses. This qualitative study involved 24 purposively selected nurses from the oncology department of a large governmental hospital in Amman, Jordan. Data were collected in semi-structured interviews, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Four main themes were extracted: Swimming through an ocean of psychological distress; Living in two overlapping worlds; Giving up the fight and leaving for a less stressful workplace; and Doubts about cancer treatments. This study indicated that oncology nurses' working environment is highly stressful and negatively impacts nurses' well-being. Policymakers and nursing managers need to consider this situation and develop interventions to improve oncology nurses' psychological health to ensure the stability of the workforce and the quality of services provided. Background: This systematic review explores the impact of cardiac rehabilitation programs (CRPs) on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and physiological outcomes post-coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Acknowledging the increasing importance of CRPs in post-CABG care, the study emphasizes the need for a comprehensive evaluation of their effectiveness. The primary objective is to investigate how CRPs influence HRQoL and physiological outcomes in post-CABG patients, offering insights into the multifaceted impact of these rehabilitation programs. Methods: A systematic literature review approach was employed to identify relevant studies published between 2013 and 2023. Inclusion criteria encompassed clinical randomized trials and quasi-experimental studies, with a focus on CRP interventions and their impact on HRQoL and physiological parameters. Results: The review reveals a diverse array of CRP approaches, including exercise training, home-based programs, and telemonitored interventions. Despite methodological variations, a consistent positive impact on HRQoL and physiological outcomes is observed across studies. Noteworthy interventions, such as those incorporating family caregivers, demonstrate holistic benefits. However, limitations include methodological variability and the exclusion of qualitative studies. Conclusions: This systematic review underscores the substantial positive impact of CRPs on HRQoL and physiological outcomes in post-CABG patients. The diverse approaches and consistent improvements across studies provide a robust foundation for healthcare practitioners and researchers. Future efforts should focus on standardizing CRP interventions and conducting well-designed trials to further enhance the evidence base, facilitating more targeted and effective rehabilitation strategies for CABG patients. Aim and objectives: To illustrate the Palestinian community's views, opinions and stances about the concept of do‐not‐resuscitate for terminally ill patients. Background: Do‐not‐resuscitate orders are practised in many countries worldwide, but there is no consensus on their practice in the Middle East. Do‐not‐resuscitate orders may be applied for terminally ill paediatric patients. Some studies have been conducted describing people's experiences with these do‐not‐resuscitate orders. However, few studies have considered community perspectives on do‐not‐resuscitate orders for terminally ill patients in Palestine. Design: A descriptive‐qualitative design was adopted. Methods: A purposive sample of 24 participants was interviewed, with consideration of demographical characteristics such as age, gender, education and place of residency. The participants were recruited over a period of 6 months. Individual semistructured interviews were utilised. These interviews were transcribed and analysed using thematic analysis. Findings: Significantly, the majority of the participants did not know the meaning of do‐not‐resuscitate and thought that removal of life‐sustaining devices and do‐not‐resuscitate were the same concept. Most of the interviewees adopted stances against do‐not‐resuscitate orders. Several factors were suggested to influence the decision of accepting or rejecting the do‐not‐resuscitate order. The majority of the participants mentioned religion as a major factor in forming their viewpoints. The participants expressed different views regarding issuing a law regarding do‐not‐resuscitate orders. Conclusion: Our findings provide a unique understanding that there is a general misunderstanding among our participants regarding the do‐not‐resuscitate order.
